For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. A week into it, I got horrible anxiety and depression. I cried terribly for no reason, and I always felt like I was going to throw up when really it was a burp. I go to the gym almost every day and I eat super healthy, and I noticed weight gain. Nausea, headaches, sweating all the time. Do not, I repeat, do not take this birth control. It will ruin you. I’ve been the most social person my entire life, and this past week has been terrible, and all I want to do is sleep and ignore my friends. Sure, it helps with pregnancy, but it is 0% worth the intense side effects. Don’t even bother getting it, trust me."

For Birth Control "In the last 10 years, I have literally tried almost every single method of BC. No matter what, I always end up coming back to Aubra. This was recommended to me by my Nurse Practitioner when I informed her I wanted a really low dosage of hormones so I wouldn't get high mood swings, weight gain, bad periods, etc. And she was right. Even on top of not getting any bad normal side effects with most BCs, this cleared my skin up AMAZING. My skin seriously glows when I'm on this, it's smooth and literally like baby skin. I hardly ever break out, and when I do, it's around my end of cycle, and it's very mild. It did, however, make my boobs grow a cup - two cups bigger, which can be a good and bad thing depending on you. :p Hope this helps! :)"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Aubra for about 2 years now. I got prescribed this birth control in Planned Parenthood. The nurse never told me the side effects about this pill, and let me tell you, it gave me really bad side effects. I have anxiety, gained weight, really bad mood swings, I feel nauseous. Most of the time, I am crying. I never thought this pill would make me lose myself. I have really bad depression where it has gotten to the point where I don't want to get out of bed and not even go out. I haven't gotten my period for the past 2 months. I don't recommend using Aubra."

For Birth Control "I would advise taking caution when reading other people's comments. Like any doctor will mention to you, all medications affect others differently, and they will have side effects. To give my short story: it was my first birth control, and I have been taking it for 1.5 years. Pros: less to little acne, no headaches, less cramps, prevented pregnancy every time, lighter periods (this was a plus!) Cons: more emotional during period, 5 lb weight gain (I am also in college, so that could be an aiding major factor), sometimes less sex drive EXCEPT around my period. Again, just because some people had issues with it doesn't mean you'll have the same. Try it out for yourself if you're considering this BC brand and talk with your doctor!"

For Birth Control "I started Aubra because I had severe cramps. The first few months had been really great and pain-free. My period became gradually more painful as I continued to take it. I had also gained over 35 pounds even though I worked out and ate well. My sex drive disappeared completely, and my period was so light it was barely there, but it was still really painful. My depression and anxiety had gotten so bad I had to leave my job because I was so anxious I could not work efficiently anymore. I felt like I wasn’t myself anymore, and it got to the point where I could no longer look in the mirror at my body anymore because of the weight gain. I’ve been off of it for two days, and I hope my life returns to normal."

For Birth Control "I’ve been using Aubra for a little over a year now. I switched from a terrible Depo experience that made me gain a lot of weight and made me lose a lot of confidence in myself. As much as I hate taking pills every day, it’s a great BC and very reliable. No weight gain, mood swings, or depression. I don’t even feel any side effects, but I know everyone is different. Glad I gave this a try! Btw, my doctor said it’s more effective if you don’t take period pills, so I switch off about every other month or when I just feel like getting a period."

For Birth Control "Before taking Aubra, my doctor had me on Gildess Fe 1/20, and that was probably the worst pill I could have ever taken. At first, Gildess cleared my acne, but it gave me severe mood swings along with constant headaches. I also had some spotting in between periods, and I gained some weight as well. After the 2nd month, my acne got worse, and that was the last straw for me to go and switch pills. I've been taking Aubra for about a little over a month, and I absolutely love it. The constant headaches are gone, my period lasts about 4 days, no mood swings whatsoever, and my acne is fairly mild. Plus, in addition to all that, I haven't gained weight since I've been on it!"

For Birth Control "Though I haven't been on Aubra very long, I’ve been on it long enough to experience the (very negative) side effects. At first, I didn't notice how this pill was affecting me, but now, I am definitely realizing how bad it has been! This little pill has graced me with hugely increased anxiety, flat/depressed mood, insomnia, weight gain, more acne, heavier and more painful periods, and headaches. I am switching to a non-hormonal IUD because Aubra has messed my body up so much! Do not recommend!"

For Birth Control "I love this pill! I had pretty bad acne before starting, and my face cleared up within the first pack or two. I have had no weight gain, and no cramping. I get slightly more emotional the week before my period, with 1-2 bumps popping up, but other than that, this pill is great."

For Birth Control "Started this Aubra BC almost a year ago and haven't had any major issues. After being off the depo shot for almost 4 years, my cycle was still so irregular and HEAVY. As soon as I started this pill, after the very first pack, my cycle went from 7 days to 4 days and always came like clockwork. I did gain about 15 lbs, but that was a bonus for me as I have been trying to gain weight since I had my son almost 10 years ago (started depo just to gain weight, and it did nothing). All in all, I love this pill and would recommend it to anyone. Don't knock it till you try it!"

For Birth Control "I took Aubra (the generic of Vienva, Sronyx, Larissia, Lutera, etc.) for about 6 months. I didn't want to continue after the first month, but doctors urged me to see if things changed and wait a few months before stopping. I had (and now still have) TERRIBLE mood swings, bad cramping constantly (on and off periods), constant nausea, and, like someone else mentioned, weight gain - while eating healthy AND exercising (like... 50 lbs in 3 months, literally). This Aubra contraceptive pill is rubbish. My doctors now don't even believe me and won't consider my issues as due to this at all anymore because they just think I'm an overweight liar now, and NONE have ever heard of this medication."

For Birth Control "First birth control I was put on. The first couple of months were fine, I was very emotional at times, though. Boobs grew for sure, and acne has cleared up. The third month, I started spotting for 2 weeks before I got my period and only had it for 3 days. I recently have noticed I've gained a lot of weight. Used to have great abs, and now I have a muffin top and pudgy-looking stomach, have been working out, and it doesn't seem to do much. Debating if I even like having these hormones in my body. I was fine before taking birth control. I went on it for acne and to regulate my periods, but now I don't think it was really worth it, it's starting to make me feel like I'm starving like an hour after I eat a full meal."

For Birth Control "This Aubra is the worst pill I have taken so far. Extreme abdominal bloating and pain. Really bad nausea, and it gave bad diarrhea. Weight gain by the second day. I was always in pain and in discomfort. My stomach and ovaries felt so tender...never taking this stupid pill again."

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control brand I've taken, I was so happy because it didn't give me any weight gain or acne. It did make me very emotional and crazy after using it for a year or more, it made my relationship with my boyfriend go downhill. So I stopped taking it for 3 months, and I started gaining a lot of weight out of nowhere. I've never been this heavy before, so I'm deciding to take it again, but with a vitamin called Evening Primrose Oil capsules. Hopefully, it will help with my emotional wreck and craziness. Of course, every brand and dose is different for each person. I wish there was something that would tell us what works best for our bodies."

For Birth Control "I absolutely hate this birth control. Yes, it keeps me from getting pregnant, but the side effects are terrible. I've been on this birth control now for almost 3 months, and I've been breaking out like crazy. I've never had acne problems besides an occasional zit here and there. After taking this birth control, my face has huge zits everywhere! I'm switching immediately. It also makes me act crazy!!! And I've gained 10 pounds. I'm done with this birth control!"

For Birth Control "Trigger warning: mentions of depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm. Never taken birth control (BC) before, and today I’m 2.5 months on and decided to switch to a different BC. Bleeding on my period is very light (switch from regular to light tampons), but my cramping remains the same. Didn’t do anything positive/negative for face acne, but did give me neck/under chin acne. I was bloated and gained 5-10 lbs the first 6 weeks on it, and that weight and bloating is now gone. I am now noticing this past 2 weeks that I’ve lost a whole cup size in my breasts and my butt has gotten a bit bigger; I’m indifferent to these 2 changes. Physically, for me, this BC worked pretty okay, but the toll on me mentally is something I won’t accept. The entire last month I’m experiencing the worst depression I’ve ever experienced, anxiety for the first time, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, terrible sudden mood swings, and I’ve cried every day the last 2 weeks."

For Birth Control "I started Aubra, and it had the same dose of estrogen and progestin. I noticed the first weeks I was very emotional. I cry over a lot of things because I'm just naturally a sensitive person, but the first two weeks were pretty sad. My period either lasted 5 days with heavy to light bleeding or a week with moderate bleeding. I never break out, and when I do, it's once every blue moon. As for weight gain, that's natural when taking birth control. The first time I gained 10 pounds, but I am also an active person and go to the gym daily, so I lost it pretty quickly. I've been on Aubra for 3 years now. So far, no complaints, but definitely I would recommend giving it a little over a month to see if it's for you."

For Birth Control "I absolutely loved this BC. The first one I went on (probably the last too) and it's done wonders. I haven't gotten pregnant (woo!) and it cleared up all my acne! I have naturally very oily skin and break out right before I get my period, but on Aubra those annoying whiteheads went away. When I first started taking it, I found myself hungrier than usual and with an increased appetite, and I gained almost 10 lbs, but after the first few months my appetite curbed and went back to normal and I lost the weight. My boobs grew slightly and it helped regulate my period. My friend was also on Aubra but had to switch because it made her gain a lot of weight. Everyone's body reacts differently, but personally Aubra worked for me :^))"

For Birth Control "Aubra is the first BC I have ever been on. It started out great. Two months in, I started spotting, but by the third month, my period was back to normal and fairly light. Now, I’m noticing weight gain, bad mood swings, and terrible acne. My breasts have grown quite a bit but are constantly sore. My back also aches now as well. My mood swings are completely unpredictable, too. I go from being very irritable and angry to crying and depressed to laughing and happy all within one day. As far as birth control, it is doing its job very effectively, but the side effects are a lot."

For Birth Control "I have only been on it for 2 weeks, and already I am ready to get off the pill ASAP. Already, I've had bad mood swings, gained weight, and also I'm currently experiencing the worst acne I've ever had. My acne is so bad it hurts my face so much. This is the first birth control I have ever taken. I do not plan on continuing this contraception, nor would I recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I gave it a 5 because it did its main job-- 8 months in and I'm not pregnant. Even with me taking it late a few times. Otherwise, I am not a fan. The first few months were okay, except lack of sex drive. Now I feel nausea, my boobs feel and look like they do during pregnancy, and it caused me to gain some weight. I want to switch, but they all kind of suck."

For Birth Control "I have NEVER had a negative reaction to birth control pills. I've never gained weight, felt bloated, had acne, or ANYTHING until taking Aubra. Over the last 6 years, I've tried at least 7 different pills, and this is by far the worst. Yes, it keeps me from getting pregnant and keeps me from having a period. However, since taking it, it seems like I have developed IBS. It is NOT agreeing with my body. I constantly have to go to the bathroom and get woken up at 2 am with that burning stomach pain before I'm forced to rush to the toilet. I've gained a little weight, but my belly is so bloated like I'm 4 months prego. Lastly, my face has broken out. I've always loved BC pills, but this brand is terrible!! Hope you guys have better luck with Aubra."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Aubra for about 6-7 months now, and I have had no major side effects. The only thing I can really complain about is before, when I got my period, I would never get cramps. Now, when I do have it, I get cramps, but they are very minor. I had little to no acne before taking it, and I have noticed I only get a few pimples here and there. My sex drive has not changed at all, still pretty good. Mood swings are a bit of a problem to where I will get upset with my boyfriend for not replying in a timely manner over dumb stuff I get upset. And no weight gain at all. But other than that, Aubra has gotten me on a regular monthly period, before, I only had it maybe 3 times a year."

For Birth Control "Didn’t get pregnant, so at least it was effective. However, I gained 15 pounds (while dieting and going to the gym 5 times a week), felt either depressed or irrationally angry 24/7, and got the worst painful cystic acne of my entire life. This pill is the worst, I only lasted a month on it. I can’t wait to switch back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Many people recommended trying this one, but it was a huge mistake for me."
