For Birth Control "This made my skin look beautiful! Within 2 weeks, I had a noticeable improvement in my skin. Only issue was the severe mood swings it would give me (which is why I'm not on it). I would cry for no reason and would lash out at others. I noticed how upset I would get and did not like feeling that way."

For Birth Control "I love it!!! I hated taking birth control pills due to all the horrible side effects! When I was first given Aubra, I read the reviews, and it really made me not want to take them!! So I figured, why not? I have to see if I will be a victim too. I suffer from PMS sooooo bad and mood swings. With this pill, it was totally opposite for me!!! I don't have PMS. It's like I'm the calmest person ever, I can think with a clear head, and I'm so much more happier!! No weight gain, nothing different with acne, I feel normal and great!! I'm almost done with my second month, and I pray everything stays this way!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Aubra for about 2 years now. I got prescribed this birth control in Planned Parenthood. The nurse never told me the side effects about this pill, and let me tell you, it gave me really bad side effects. I have anxiety, gained weight, really bad mood swings, I feel nauseous. Most of the time, I am crying. I never thought this pill would make me lose myself. I have really bad depression where it has gotten to the point where I don't want to get out of bed and not even go out. I haven't gotten my period for the past 2 months. I don't recommend using Aubra."

For Birth Control "I would advise taking caution when reading other people's comments. Like any doctor will mention to you, all medications affect others differently, and they will have side effects. To give my short story: it was my first birth control, and I have been taking it for 1.5 years. Pros: less to little acne, no headaches, less cramps, prevented pregnancy every time, lighter periods (this was a plus!) Cons: more emotional during period, 5 lb weight gain (I am also in college, so that could be an aiding major factor), sometimes less sex drive EXCEPT around my period. Again, just because some people had issues with it doesn't mean you'll have the same. Try it out for yourself if you're considering this BC brand and talk with your doctor!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been using Aubra for a little over a year now. I switched from a terrible Depo experience that made me gain a lot of weight and made me lose a lot of confidence in myself. As much as I hate taking pills every day, it’s a great BC and very reliable. No weight gain, mood swings, or depression. I don’t even feel any side effects, but I know everyone is different. Glad I gave this a try! Btw, my doctor said it’s more effective if you don’t take period pills, so I switch off about every other month or when I just feel like getting a period."

For Birth Control "Before taking Aubra, my doctor had me on Gildess Fe 1/20, and that was probably the worst pill I could have ever taken. At first, Gildess cleared my acne, but it gave me severe mood swings along with constant headaches. I also had some spotting in between periods, and I gained some weight as well. After the 2nd month, my acne got worse, and that was the last straw for me to go and switch pills. I've been taking Aubra for about a little over a month, and I absolutely love it. The constant headaches are gone, my period lasts about 4 days, no mood swings whatsoever, and my acne is fairly mild. Plus, in addition to all that, I haven't gained weight since I've been on it!"

For Birth Control "I love this pill! I had pretty bad acne before starting, and my face cleared up within the first pack or two. I have had no weight gain, and no cramping. I get slightly more emotional the week before my period, with 1-2 bumps popping up, but other than that, this pill is great."

For Birth Control "So I am 30 years old, two kids. Never been on BCP before. I got on it to make sure not to get pregnant as I am content with just having two kids. I have only been on it for two weeks, and it has been horrible. Been nauseous and have been having severe headaches, which I never get, and to top it off, oh boy, I have been emotional! Has not been fun at all. Figure I'll try it for a little longer, but if these symptoms continue, I will not be able to handle feeling like this every day."

For Birth Control "I used Aubra for 11 months to help alleviate my painful periods, acne, and, of course, prevent pregnancy. This pill did give me breast tenderness that seemed to never go away while I was on the pill. I also developed severe mood swings. I would jump from being happy to sad to angry. I did end up bleeding for three weeks straight when I skipped my placebo week and jumped straight into the active pills. Other than that, it did the job of keeping me from getting pregnant. It also cleared up my acne and reduced my period cramps by a lot!"

For Birth Control "If I could rate Aubra as a 0, I would! Once I got on this medication, I didn't really feel that many symptoms, EXCEPT for my mood swings. I started to cry about little things, and it started to become a big issue in my relationship. I felt like I was going crazy because there would be times I would get mad at him for the most random and unnecessary things. I've been on this for 4 months now, and one tip for you ladies: if you feel like you can overcome the depression and crazy mood swings, it is best to be safe and just get off of it. There have been many times I felt, 'OK, I can try again this time and try to make changes,' but to be honest, easier said than done. I'm mid-pack right now, so I'm getting off once it's done. Hope to find a better brand!"

For Birth Control "This is the third brand of birth control that I’ve taken in the span of ten years, and it has given me the fewest side effects. I had some mild nausea in addition to spotting, but my mood swings and depression have actually improved on this pill! No weight gain or noticeable sex drive change. Initially had some acne breakouts, but now my skin is the clearest it’s ever been."

For Birth Control "I would NOT recommend Aubra to anyone. The entire six months I was in it, I constantly felt depressed and exhausted. Staying awake was a constant struggle. I also experienced crazy mood swings that caused major problems in my relationship. I also developed extremely bad acne, which I never had before. Also, I never felt hungry, and whenever I did eat, I always felt so bloated and uncomfortable afterward. On top of that, my periods actually got worse: heavier bleeding, really bad cramps, etc. I wish I would have talked to my doctor sooner about getting off this birth control and would strongly discourage anyone else from ever taking it."

For Birth Control "I started Aubra a year ago and have been taking it almost continuously throughout the year (I took the sugar pills 3 different times, only after I started spotting). It was great at first; it got rid of my horrible period cramps and cleared up my skin. However, I've noticed huge changes in my sexual drive, i.e., I don't have one anymore! This has put a tremendous strain on my long-term relationship as I never EVER want to have sex (I don't even touch myself anymore). The rare times we do have sex, it is uncomfortable/painful for me, which makes me even less interested in sex, if that's possible. Nothing else in my life has changed, and I'm a healthy, active 26-year-old, so I'm sure this is due to Aubra. Also, the few times I took a break by taking the sugar pills, I had major mood swings and felt severely depressed. I've decided to stop taking this BC. Having no periods and no unexpected pregnancies is amazing, but for me, it's not worth the emotional toll."

For Birth Control "I started this two months ago, and so far, it’s been a positive experience. I have slight bloating and early breakthrough bleeding, which I know is because it’s still new. I take antidepressants, so I already had mood swings, but this has not made anything worse (which is AMAZING for me because every other birth control I’ve tried has driven me nuts). I have noticed my boobs have gotten a little bigger! I haven’t gained any weight, the first month I was craving food and sweets like crazy, but that’s under control now. I get no acne, my dark spots have cleared up, and my skin looks the best it has in years. My hair also looks great and very luscious, but this could also be because I take collagen and biotin like it’s my job. It’s important to remember everyone is different, but I truly have no complaints."

For Birth Control "I've taken birth control pills since I was 15. I was 22 when I went on Aubra because I had recently gotten into a new relationship. It ruined my life. My acne got so bad I had to go on Roaccutane because of it. I have permanent scars on my face, and it has given me the worst mood swings. Currently still taking it because I'm on Roaccutane, but once my treatment is over, I'm switching to another form of BC."

For Birth Control "I took Aubra (the generic of Vienva, Sronyx, Larissia, Lutera, etc.) for about 6 months. I didn't want to continue after the first month, but doctors urged me to see if things changed and wait a few months before stopping. I had (and now still have) TERRIBLE mood swings, bad cramping constantly (on and off periods), constant nausea, and, like someone else mentioned, weight gain - while eating healthy AND exercising (like... 50 lbs in 3 months, literally). This Aubra contraceptive pill is rubbish. My doctors now don't even believe me and won't consider my issues as due to this at all anymore because they just think I'm an overweight liar now, and NONE have ever heard of this medication."

For Birth Control "First birth control I was put on. The first couple of months were fine, I was very emotional at times, though. Boobs grew for sure, and acne has cleared up. The third month, I started spotting for 2 weeks before I got my period and only had it for 3 days. I recently have noticed I've gained a lot of weight. Used to have great abs, and now I have a muffin top and pudgy-looking stomach, have been working out, and it doesn't seem to do much. Debating if I even like having these hormones in my body. I was fine before taking birth control. I went on it for acne and to regulate my periods, but now I don't think it was really worth it, it's starting to make me feel like I'm starving like an hour after I eat a full meal."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control method I have ever used. I'm 18. I have been on it for a little over 7 months. I absolutely love it. Let me just start with the pros: breasts got more firm. My skin actually became cleaner. (I've always had clear skin) but this helped even more. The only negative side effect I would say is that you sometimes may experience mood swings. I have a short temper, so that could also be my fault. This pill does NOT make you gain weight. It only makes you hungrier than usual. I highly recommend this pill for all women. I love it!"

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control brand I've taken, I was so happy because it didn't give me any weight gain or acne. It did make me very emotional and crazy after using it for a year or more, it made my relationship with my boyfriend go downhill. So I stopped taking it for 3 months, and I started gaining a lot of weight out of nowhere. I've never been this heavy before, so I'm deciding to take it again, but with a vitamin called Evening Primrose Oil capsules. Hopefully, it will help with my emotional wreck and craziness. Of course, every brand and dose is different for each person. I wish there was something that would tell us what works best for our bodies."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for a month and a half, and my skin is breaking out like never before. My mood is totally irrational, and I had 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding that finally stopped 2 weeks ago, and now I’m getting a full-on period (cramps, back pain, actual bleeding) in the middle of a pack. Do not take this pill. It’s garbage and not worth the side effects. There are better pills out there - I was on the pill for 12 years and was fine. I went off it for a few years, and this was what Planned Parenthood gave me when I decided to go back on. Big mistake."

For Birth Control "I'm a 25-year-old woman, and I took Yasmin back home (I'm from Mexico) for six years, and it was amazing. I recently got married and moved to the U.S. and switched to Aubra (given to me by Planned Parenthood). I've been on Aubra for four months now, and I absolutely hate it. I broke out like crazy, my mood swings are just incredible, PMS is horrible, my sex drive is gone, and natural lubrication is a problem for me now. I never had any of these problems before, and there's no way I'm sticking to Aubra. Yes, it keeps me from getting pregnant, but the side effects are not worth it. I just got three boxes of Yasmin, and I'm waiting to finish my current Aubra box to switch back to Yasmin."

For Birth Control "So I've been prescribed Aubra due to some irresponsible decisions. I have been on it for nearly 3 weeks, and I have been bleeding ever since I started it. I began taking it the first day of my period, and my period normally only lasts 3 to 4 days. Aubra caused it to last 6 days. A few days later, I began bleeding slightly, and I had to use panty liners for a couple of days, then it got a bit heavier, and now I have to use liners or pads. When I first started taking it, I had terrible mood swings, and my period was terrible. I am hoping that it gets better and the bleeding stops. It is uncomfortable, and I feel very unclean."

For Birth Control "I was on Aubra about 1.5 years. I was super regular every 28 days, however, towards the end of this time, I had a miscarriage, and my periods stopped. I was VERY regular with the pill. I went off of it, at Dr. advise, because he said if I get pregnant on it, then there is no point. It is now 7 months later and I do not have a period, and my hormones are out of whack. I am looking at the very real possibility that this ruined my chances of having kids in the future. I gave it more than 1 star because it never caused mood swings, no acne (actually cleared me up), and it was the easiest BC I've been on."

For Birth Control "Trigger warning: mentions of depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm. Never taken birth control (BC) before, and today I’m 2.5 months on and decided to switch to a different BC. Bleeding on my period is very light (switch from regular to light tampons), but my cramping remains the same. Didn’t do anything positive/negative for face acne, but did give me neck/under chin acne. I was bloated and gained 5-10 lbs the first 6 weeks on it, and that weight and bloating is now gone. I am now noticing this past 2 weeks that I’ve lost a whole cup size in my breasts and my butt has gotten a bit bigger; I’m indifferent to these 2 changes. Physically, for me, this BC worked pretty okay, but the toll on me mentally is something I won’t accept. The entire last month I’m experiencing the worst depression I’ve ever experienced, anxiety for the first time, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, terrible sudden mood swings, and I’ve cried every day the last 2 weeks."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I ever went on, and it worked great. No side effects! No child! After a year (March '19), Planned Parenthood gave me Aubra EQ. If this happened to anyone else, I would like to know. I was unaware it was different and took it. Immediately, I had symptoms such as mood swings, cramping, and nausea. I got the worst cramping I’ve ever had. At the end of the month, my period did not come. I have taken many tests, and they say I’m not pregnant, but yet I have not gotten my period. PP says they do not carry Aubra anymore, just Aubra EQ, and according to them, it’s the same. But obviously not."
