For Birth Control "I would NOT recommend Aubra to anyone. The entire six months I was in it, I constantly felt depressed and exhausted. Staying awake was a constant struggle. I also experienced crazy mood swings that caused major problems in my relationship. I also developed extremely bad acne, which I never had before. Also, I never felt hungry, and whenever I did eat, I always felt so bloated and uncomfortable afterward. On top of that, my periods actually got worse: heavier bleeding, really bad cramps, etc. I wish I would have talked to my doctor sooner about getting off this birth control and would strongly discourage anyone else from ever taking it."

For Birth Control "I started Aubra at 19 and recently stopped at 22 years old. Obviously, when you start any pill, you will be affected. I will say I think this pill has affected me emotionally the past 3 years. The first month, I experienced “breakthrough” bleeding during sex twice. I still had acne, but I didn’t gain weight. After a few months, I balanced out. I never had any problems. My period was very regular, moderately light, my acne went away, and I even lost 20 pounds in the third year eating right and exercising. I realized recently that my sex drive fell a year in after reading reviews. But overall, I didn’t get pregnant. After reading reviews, I realized how emotional I became. I also didn’t know that Audra became Aubra EQ (I had a year’s supply). I decided to stop before going to the updated EQ (same name, just different manufacturer). It was a good pill once I balanced, but overall, I’m thinking more about being “natural” and caring for my well-being. I was having anxiety issues like crazy. Aubra (not Aubra EQ) did well for my first pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra for almost a year now, and prior to that, I was on Aviane (which is basically in the same category as Aubra). I had to switch because I was no longer with the health provider that provided me with Aviane for the last 5-6 years (HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVIANE). Aubra was great at first, I had no issues, and my periods were light and regular, no cramping, and my face cleared up. But after 6 months of being on Aubra, I noticed I would bleed easier. Sometimes I would have my period twice a month, and when I would be intimate with my boyfriend, I would bleed during foreplay. I also felt drier? Mind you, I take my birth control consistently. However, every woman has a different experience with birth control, but Aubra doesn’t work for me. Pros: no pregnancy, no nausea/vomiting, no cramping, clear skin, no mood swings. Cons: frequent bleeding, drier feeling."

For Birth Control "I just turned 18, never been on birth control before, and I started taking the pills the first day I got my period. Aug 7. I've been taking the pills every day around 11:30 p.m., and I'm still bleeding August 20th. The period changed from light to heavy, dark brown to red with blood clots. It's completely horrible."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for a month and a half, and my skin is breaking out like never before. My mood is totally irrational, and I had 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding that finally stopped 2 weeks ago, and now I’m getting a full-on period (cramps, back pain, actual bleeding) in the middle of a pack. Do not take this pill. It’s garbage and not worth the side effects. There are better pills out there - I was on the pill for 12 years and was fine. I went off it for a few years, and this was what Planned Parenthood gave me when I decided to go back on. Big mistake."

For Birth Control "So I've been prescribed Aubra due to some irresponsible decisions. I have been on it for nearly 3 weeks, and I have been bleeding ever since I started it. I began taking it the first day of my period, and my period normally only lasts 3 to 4 days. Aubra caused it to last 6 days. A few days later, I began bleeding slightly, and I had to use panty liners for a couple of days, then it got a bit heavier, and now I have to use liners or pads. When I first started taking it, I had terrible mood swings, and my period was terrible. I am hoping that it gets better and the bleeding stops. It is uncomfortable, and I feel very unclean."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control method to take, especially if you have depression. I took this pill for 6 months and had nothing but breakthrough bleeding and even worse depression symptoms. I most definitely wouldn't recommend."

For Birth Control "I'm 33, w/no kids. I've been on a couple of different types of BC before, but I think this one has been the worst. Started taking these pills because I was cramping a lot during my period, and they were heavier than usual. It was fine for the first 3 months, w/little to no side effects, my periods even seemed less painful and lighter. 6 months later, I've noticed that I'm super emotional/sad, periods are inconsistent, 1 month it's heavy w/breakthrough bleeding for about 4-5 days, spotting for about 2 weeks before and/or even after my period. The next month, I may not bleed much at all, and the cramping hasn't decreased. I've also noticed an increase in the frequency of bad headaches and a lack of energy. Wouldn't recommend Aubra, but everyone is different."

For Birth Control "Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this pill. I read all the terrible reviews and still went for it. I was previously on Microgestion for 6 months, it did me wonderful. When it came time to get my new packs, Planned Parenthood supposedly didn't carry it anymore. I was told Aubra was the exact same thing and wouldn't affect me differently. What a lie that was. Two weeks into my pack and I got my period again for the month. Third week and I'm having terrible cramps accompanied by more bleeding. My appetite has changed, I'm not eating much. Grateful I haven't experienced acne, mood changes, nausea, or headaches. But don't even want to chance it. Contemplating if I should throw out the pack or finish and just drop. DON'T RECOMMEND!!"

For Birth Control "My experience with Aubra was horrible!!!!! I know everybody is different and maybe it works for other women better. My first week was horrible, my mood changed, I felt sad all the time, I was hungry all the time, no sleep sometimes. I said I'm okay with that, but when my period came, OMG!! Horrible. I have had 12 days with my period. I stopped using the pill, and the pain I feel right now is horrible, bleeding a lot, heavy bleeding, my hemoglobin went down, and now I'm taking pills for that. NEVER, EVER WILL I USE THIS PILL."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost two weeks, haven't seen any annoying side effects or any bleeding. I only noticed my sense of smell slightly increased. Things seem to be a little strong... other than that, it has not given me any problems, and I would recommend it. I also receive it from PPP."

For Birth Control "I am at the end of my third month using Aubra, and I am decently happy with it. I am unsure about my family medical history, so my doctor started me on super-low estrogen so we could be sure there were no blood clot issues. I've been having some breakthrough bleeding, but it's only the first couple months, so I'm going to go three more months and see what happens. Internet research has shown that taking a super-low dose of BC can cause that, so I'll ask for a higher dose if that persists. I've had almost no side effects, other than my breasts getting a size bigger (which I certainly don't mind) and one day of being a little weepy on the first day of my period. I used to have 7-day, extremely heavy periods with a day of cramping that was painful enough that I would throw up, so a couple days of breakthrough bleeding is nothing that I'd complain about unless it persists. Overall, Aubra has been great, and I'll update about the spotting."

For Birth Control "Throwing mine in the trash! I've been on Aubra for about three weeks. Been spotting/bleeding ever since. I have had the worst headache of my life for two weeks straight, not to mention the nausea and vomiting. I'd rather just risk a pregnancy. This is ridiculous. I can't even function with daily life."

For Birth Control "I was never on any BC and decided to, and they gave me Aubra. The first couple of months I’d say were fine, then I started getting really bad mood swings. Mostly, it just makes me a really angry person. My poor boyfriend, haha. My period was also normal for the first couple of months, then I just started bleeding nonstop, even if it was light. I also have gained weight, and I feel like no matter what I eat, I'm still hungry. The only good thing I will say about this birth control is no babies, and my skin is really clear."

For Birth Control "Was on this for about 6 months or so. Didn't experience weight gain or hormonal anxiety, but it didn't help with my hormonal cystic acne at all. Also, after 3 months or so, I started experiencing nonstop breakthrough bleeding. Had to discontinue for my sanity."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for 3 months. It's effective but major negative side effects. I've been bleeding pretty bad between periods (seems to be worse when I drink coffee, for the record). Along with the spotting, I've been getting cramps that feel worse than my usual period cramps. I've also been getting headaches much worse than I'm used to that seem to last forever. Periods have been lighter, which is a plus, but obviously, all the blood that should be draining isn't because of all the spotting. It isn't all bad, but I'm switching for sure."

For Birth Control "I started Aubra back in July so I would be less anxious about pregnancy. The first month or two I was on it, I had headaches and nausea, as well as random bleeding. As soon as that ceased, I immediately began packing on pounds and became very depressed and had no desire for intimacy with my boyfriend. This all has negatively affected my relationship. It's so bad that my boyfriend offered to go back to condoms, which neither of us loves. Unfortunately, Aubra is not good for my body and mental health, for some people it is likely great, but not for me. Only good parts were zero cramps, lighter periods, zero acne, and no babies."
