For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I ever went on, and it worked great. No side effects! No child! After a year (March '19), Planned Parenthood gave me Aubra EQ. If this happened to anyone else, I would like to know. I was unaware it was different and took it. Immediately, I had symptoms such as mood swings, cramping, and nausea. I got the worst cramping I’ve ever had. At the end of the month, my period did not come. I have taken many tests, and they say I’m not pregnant, but yet I have not gotten my period. PP says they do not carry Aubra anymore, just Aubra EQ, and according to them, it’s the same. But obviously not."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. A week into it, I got horrible anxiety and depression. I cried terribly for no reason, and I always felt like I was going to throw up when really it was a burp. I go to the gym almost every day and I eat super healthy, and I noticed weight gain. Nausea, headaches, sweating all the time. Do not, I repeat, do not take this birth control. It will ruin you. I’ve been the most social person my entire life, and this past week has been terrible, and all I want to do is sleep and ignore my friends. Sure, it helps with pregnancy, but it is 0% worth the intense side effects. Don’t even bother getting it, trust me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Aubra for about 2 years now. I got prescribed this birth control in Planned Parenthood. The nurse never told me the side effects about this pill, and let me tell you, it gave me really bad side effects. I have anxiety, gained weight, really bad mood swings, I feel nauseous. Most of the time, I am crying. I never thought this pill would make me lose myself. I have really bad depression where it has gotten to the point where I don't want to get out of bed and not even go out. I haven't gotten my period for the past 2 months. I don't recommend using Aubra."

For Birth Control "I just started this pill this past week, and so far, I love it! I only was nauseous the first few days of taking it, and then that disappeared. Right now my only complaint is my breasts are really tender, but other than that I have more of a sex drive, which my fiancé and I aren't really complaining about, lol, so I really recommend this pill if nothing else has worked. I tried the Depo shot, and it was terrible, I was always moody and tired, but with this pill I have so much energy it's unbelievable. Hopefully, it stays this way. I'll update you more if things change. Good luck, ladies!"

For Birth Control "So I am 30 years old, two kids. Never been on BCP before. I got on it to make sure not to get pregnant as I am content with just having two kids. I have only been on it for two weeks, and it has been horrible. Been nauseous and have been having severe headaches, which I never get, and to top it off, oh boy, I have been emotional! Has not been fun at all. Figure I'll try it for a little longer, but if these symptoms continue, I will not be able to handle feeling like this every day."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra for around 4 months. The first 3 months were very smooth. I had light periods at normal times. It never really affected my stomach or appetite. The only time it made me feel nauseous was if I took the pill on an empty stomach. But anyway, recently I’ve been noticing it really taking a toll on my emotions and mental health. It’s hard for me to go a day without feeling down or shedding tears for really no apparent reason. It’s causing me to have tensions in my relationship because I’m so emotional over small things. If it lasts much longer, I think I will find another pill."

For Birth Control "This is the third brand of birth control that I’ve taken in the span of ten years, and it has given me the fewest side effects. I had some mild nausea in addition to spotting, but my mood swings and depression have actually improved on this pill! No weight gain or noticeable sex drive change. Initially had some acne breakouts, but now my skin is the clearest it’s ever been."

For Birth Control "I have been on almost every kind of birth control over the last 20 years, starting at 16. The best so far has been the copper IUD, but I'm someone who has gotten pregnant with both the Mirena and now the Paragard. Hopefully, I can get a tubal ligation. During my 20s, pills and hormones didn't bother me. Now that I'm older, I notice anything with hormones affects me physically and mentally. The Aubra has made me very nauseous, but I'm certain it's just me being sensitive to hormones. That being said, it seems like a great pill. I got it through Planned Parenthood at $26, so that's a huge plus. It's generic, so that helps if you don't have insurance. As my doctor told me when I mentioned how often I see bad reviews on certain pills, 'No one complains on online forums when they are happy.'"

For Birth Control "This birth control gave me horrible anxiety to the point where I almost couldn’t even function. The first few months I was on it, I was getting headaches, feeling nauseous, and it gave me terrible acne (I never had bad acne before). The headaches and acne went away after a while, but I still felt nauseous after taking the pill almost every day, and my anxiety never went away until I stopped taking Aubra."

For Birth Control "I took Aubra (the generic of Vienva, Sronyx, Larissia, Lutera, etc.) for about 6 months. I didn't want to continue after the first month, but doctors urged me to see if things changed and wait a few months before stopping. I had (and now still have) TERRIBLE mood swings, bad cramping constantly (on and off periods), constant nausea, and, like someone else mentioned, weight gain - while eating healthy AND exercising (like... 50 lbs in 3 months, literally). This Aubra contraceptive pill is rubbish. My doctors now don't even believe me and won't consider my issues as due to this at all anymore because they just think I'm an overweight liar now, and NONE have ever heard of this medication."

For Birth Control "I tried 4 different birth control pills before Aubra. Aubra helped lighten my period and only made me feel slightly nauseous after I took it. However, when it became Aubra EQ (changed manufacturer), my sex drive plummeted and I started getting stomach issues. I feel nauseous all day (sometimes I even come close to vomiting in the morning), and my periods have become heavier. My doctor was perplexed when I told them my issues because it's supposed to be exactly the same thing, just an updated package. I have no idea why I'm experiencing side effects now. I'm switching to Azurette, and I hope it works for me."

For Birth Control "This Aubra is the worst pill I have taken so far. Extreme abdominal bloating and pain. Really bad nausea, and it gave bad diarrhea. Weight gain by the second day. I was always in pain and in discomfort. My stomach and ovaries felt so tender...never taking this stupid pill again."

For Birth Control "Disclaimer: Birth control effects vary from person to person since we are all slightly different. That being said, my experience has been very positive. I have had almost zero side effects since I started taking Aubra 2 months ago. The first week I started taking it, I had some nausea that would wake me up while sleeping (I take it at 5 pm), but after my body adjusted, I haven't had any nausea since. My weight has stayed the same, my skin and body hair have stayed the same. I did spot a bit for a week during my first pack, and then my first period was super light with zero cramping and lasted 4 days. If this is the norm, then I'm a happy Aubra consumer!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Aubra about a month and a half ago, but had to stop mid-pack due to the side effects. I had no side effects and felt great except for minor mood swings during the whole first month. By the time I started the second pack, I began to have chest pain and extreme nausea. I could barely eat and had such bad anxiety all day I couldn't leave my house. I had to miss 4 days of work and almost went to the ER every night because of how bad I felt. I had no control over my body and had to stop taking them just to live a normal life again. It got to the point I couldn't even make it to my doctor's appointment due to my anxiety."

For Birth Control "I've tried other BCPs before this one, and they made me more emotional than this one. I would be hysterical, and with Aubra, I felt more like myself. It definitely had its cons, but the fact that it didn't give me emotional panic attacks like my previous BCPs, it wins. I really like this one. Pros: For me, less emotional and lighter periods. Effective in preventing pregnancy. Cons: Nausea, I was told to take my pills at night for this reason. And most nights, I don't feel this symptom. Less sex drive."

For Birth Control "Just finishing up my second pack, just got my period after being two months late. I had a little spotting Saturday, no pain. Sunday, a little more blood, severe pain like never before. Monday, back pain was insane, and my cramps hurt so bad I ended up in the ER. Today is day three, and my cramps are horrible, as well as back pain. I read comments it's just your body adjusting, but man, I have never had this pain before, it's the absolute worst! The first two weeks, I took mine every day at 7:30 a.m. I noticed it made me so nauseous like never before, so now I take it every day at 11:30 after I have eaten food, and that really helped. I will say it did control my acne, and it does make me eat a little bit more than usual, however, my cramps are so bad I'm thinking of getting off them."

For Birth Control "I’m only on day six, and I’ve been having extreme nausea. Throwing up and being very uncomfortable in my own body. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone. So far it hasn’t extremely affected my emotions, but I have been getting more upset over little things. Gonna stop taking birth control overall because I’ve tried three other brands before this one, but Aubra takes the cake for the rate of nausea I’ve been experiencing. Usually, the other brands would take about a month or two before I get extremely nauseous, but like I said, I’ve only taken six days' worth of pills before it started to affect me."

For Birth Control "First time on birth control (BC) and I am relieved to not have had any major side effects after taking this BC for a month now. The first day I took it, I felt a little nauseous but switched to taking it before bed and now don't feel anything (even if I forgot the night before and have to take it in the middle of the day). I did get two pretty big pimples the first week but no physical changes besides that. I think I'm on my period now (end of first pack) but very, very light bleeding and no cramps."

For Birth Control "Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this pill. I read all the terrible reviews and still went for it. I was previously on Microgestion for 6 months, it did me wonderful. When it came time to get my new packs, Planned Parenthood supposedly didn't carry it anymore. I was told Aubra was the exact same thing and wouldn't affect me differently. What a lie that was. Two weeks into my pack and I got my period again for the month. Third week and I'm having terrible cramps accompanied by more bleeding. My appetite has changed, I'm not eating much. Grateful I haven't experienced acne, mood changes, nausea, or headaches. But don't even want to chance it. Contemplating if I should throw out the pack or finish and just drop. DON'T RECOMMEND!!"

For Birth Control "I gave it a 5 because it did its main job-- 8 months in and I'm not pregnant. Even with me taking it late a few times. Otherwise, I am not a fan. The first few months were okay, except lack of sex drive. Now I feel nausea, my boobs feel and look like they do during pregnancy, and it caused me to gain some weight. I want to switch, but they all kind of suck."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control I've ever taken. It makes me super depressed and emotional. I have no sex drive. It started at first to clear up my acne, but now it has increased. I thought the Depo was bad, this is worse. I have been taking it for about 3 months now, and the symptoms have been getting worse: severe nausea, headaches, and the depression has only gotten worse than before. I hate this birth control, have given it a fair shot, and it has only been making my life miserable, as well as my boyfriend's."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for over two years, the first three months I was a bit emotional and felt nauseous, but after those three months I felt better and it wasn’t a continuous thing during those three months! It was bearable! I feel good. I'm not pregnant. I used to cramp so bad on my period that I would cry, but after taking Aubra my cramps are light and easier to deal with. Sometimes I don’t even get any, and my period is shorter! So far everything’s good and hope it’ll continue to be like this. Hopefully have a child in the future."

For Birth Control "Aubra, Aubra. Where to begin? So I was recommended this pill after my insurance stopped covering Aviane, which I was accustomed to for years (highly recommend Aviane). Anywho, a week into taking Aubra (which is supposed to be exactly the same), I started feeling nauseous all the time, and I really mean ALL THE TIME. While driving, I'd make myself carsick and oftentimes had to stop driving and let my stomach settle before continuing on. I'm a huge foodie, and I completely lost my appetite for food, which made me just not eat out of fear of just puking it out moments later. I was on this pill for about 4 months, and I lost a whopping 50 pounds. Finally, I decided to switch insurance so that they'd cover Aviane, and I couldn't be happier. I was finally able to live normally again. Aubra was absolutely terrible for me, and I never want to go back to it, so no, Aubra and Aviane are not the same for me!"

For Birth Control "This is the first brand of contraceptive pill Planned Parenthood recommended to me after being on nothing for 6 years. I didn’t feel nauseous, and I don’t eat much anyway, so it didn’t affect my appetite. However, this pill has made me cry every day intensely. I am depressed and could not feel any more sad without being sad. I do not recommend unless you aren’t emotional from the start."
