For Birth Control "In the last 10 years, I have literally tried almost every single method of BC. No matter what, I always end up coming back to Aubra. This was recommended to me by my Nurse Practitioner when I informed her I wanted a really low dosage of hormones so I wouldn't get high mood swings, weight gain, bad periods, etc. And she was right. Even on top of not getting any bad normal side effects with most BCs, this cleared my skin up AMAZING. My skin seriously glows when I'm on this, it's smooth and literally like baby skin. I hardly ever break out, and when I do, it's around my end of cycle, and it's very mild. It did, however, make my boobs grow a cup - two cups bigger, which can be a good and bad thing depending on you. :p Hope this helps! :)"

For Birth Control "I would advise taking caution when reading other people's comments. Like any doctor will mention to you, all medications affect others differently, and they will have side effects. To give my short story: it was my first birth control, and I have been taking it for 1.5 years. Pros: less to little acne, no headaches, less cramps, prevented pregnancy every time, lighter periods (this was a plus!) Cons: more emotional during period, 5 lb weight gain (I am also in college, so that could be an aiding major factor), sometimes less sex drive EXCEPT around my period. Again, just because some people had issues with it doesn't mean you'll have the same. Try it out for yourself if you're considering this BC brand and talk with your doctor!"

For Birth Control "Aubra was my very first birth control, and I loved it! My first week of taking Aubra, I experienced some cramping, and it made me cry. But after about 2 weeks, everything was normal. My periods were normal. It helped with acne. No bad symptoms or anything. I am currently on Lutera, and I hate it. I will be talking to my doctor about switching me back to Aubra."

For Birth Control "I love this pill! I had pretty bad acne before starting, and my face cleared up within the first pack or two. I have had no weight gain, and no cramping. I get slightly more emotional the week before my period, with 1-2 bumps popping up, but other than that, this pill is great."

For Birth Control "It's great. I've been on Microgestin Fe 1/20 before, and I was a train wreck. But now my periods are controlled. They last only 5 days compared to the 1.5 weeks when I wasn't taking anything. I haven't gained weight like I did with the other one, and I am not so emotional. I feel normal, except my sex drive really lowered, and I get horrible cramps and bloating on my period, which I never got before. But I don't mind because I don't bleed as much."

For Birth Control "I would NOT recommend Aubra to anyone. The entire six months I was in it, I constantly felt depressed and exhausted. Staying awake was a constant struggle. I also experienced crazy mood swings that caused major problems in my relationship. I also developed extremely bad acne, which I never had before. Also, I never felt hungry, and whenever I did eat, I always felt so bloated and uncomfortable afterward. On top of that, my periods actually got worse: heavier bleeding, really bad cramps, etc. I wish I would have talked to my doctor sooner about getting off this birth control and would strongly discourage anyone else from ever taking it."

For Birth Control "I took Aubra (the generic of Vienva, Sronyx, Larissia, Lutera, etc.) for about 6 months. I didn't want to continue after the first month, but doctors urged me to see if things changed and wait a few months before stopping. I had (and now still have) TERRIBLE mood swings, bad cramping constantly (on and off periods), constant nausea, and, like someone else mentioned, weight gain - while eating healthy AND exercising (like... 50 lbs in 3 months, literally). This Aubra contraceptive pill is rubbish. My doctors now don't even believe me and won't consider my issues as due to this at all anymore because they just think I'm an overweight liar now, and NONE have ever heard of this medication."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I’ve ever tried. I had every side effect known to man: monthly yeast infections, violent headaches. Also didn't get my period for months with this stuff, yet I still had VERY painful cramps. It gave me depression and made me antsy. I also would have episodes where I’d shake uncontrollably. I’m convinced someone evil handcrafted this stuff. Stay away."

For Birth Control "Honestly, it has been great! I get very light periods now that last two days with little to no cramping. No difference in mood swings and emotions. My skin cleared up. I was very skinny, unable to gain weight, and this allowed me to finally get curves. Overall, so happy I made the decision to take this."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for a month and a half, and my skin is breaking out like never before. My mood is totally irrational, and I had 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding that finally stopped 2 weeks ago, and now I’m getting a full-on period (cramps, back pain, actual bleeding) in the middle of a pack. Do not take this pill. It’s garbage and not worth the side effects. There are better pills out there - I was on the pill for 12 years and was fine. I went off it for a few years, and this was what Planned Parenthood gave me when I decided to go back on. Big mistake."

For Birth Control "Aubra was the first and only birth control pill I have ever tried, and I love it! I've been on it for about three years now and have not experienced any problems with it at all. It improved my acne significantly, pretty much got rid of many of the symptoms I have when I get my period (cramps, breast tenderness), and I have shorter periods when on this pill. I haven't really noticed any change in sex drive or mood swings. I haven't really gained weight on this pill either. This pill has worked beautifully for me, but every person's experience might be different."

For Birth Control "I am 5'4", 150 lbs. I've been on Aubra for almost 2 months. Haven't had a pregnancy scare and cramps/bloating are lessened, so that's good. However, I am having issues with large single pimples. They aren't really a cluster of acne. These large single pimples are more like mini welts. They're under the skin and painful when touched. There is no pus or anything, so it's not like you can 'pop' them. I'm getting them on my neck and chest as well as on my upper back and shoulders. It's summer, and I'm forced to wear uncomfortable turtlenecks and high necklined shirts to cover them. Foundation is not enough to cover these beasts :/. I wish I could upload a photo for you all to see. I thought birth control was supposed to help you NOT break out :/. My diet has not changed in 5 years, and I started drinking much more water. I also have resorted to using medicated acne wash once a day and daily acne spray three times a day. They have gone down in size, but are still there. NOT CUTE!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for the past year. I didn't have any symptoms that I know of. It has cleared up my acne drastically. I used to get huge pimples on my forehead, right between my eyes, and it wouldn't go away, even after months of acne face wash and spot treatments. I also used to get a huge one on my chin. I still get a little bit of acne, but not nearly as bad as before. I take it every morning at 7 a.m. My periods used to be irregular and would come every other month for the most part, and sometimes three months. They have been more regular and lighter than before. Pros for me: prevents pregnancy, reduces acne, makes period lighter, period is more regular. Cons: have cramps during period more often than before, somewhat lessened sex drive."

For Birth Control "I hate Aubra! It has been effective in preventing pregnancy, which is obviously the great part. However, my sex drive has drastically decreased, I've been cramping since week 2, I've been extremely emotional, and now I've been menstruating longer than usual (it has always been 3-4 days, now I'm on day 6). My appetite has definitely increased, especially closer to my menstruating. I'm just not enjoying this birth control at all! I will not be starting a new pack!"

For Birth Control "No weight gain. Actually lost weight because this pill made my appetite smaller, and I get full faster. No acne, just broke out little bumps along the jawline, but no one can notice except me. I have crazy mood swings or depression like I got on other birth control pills. Regular period, no pain. First day light cramps, that's it. No spotting. Happy with this pill. Almost on my third pack."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for 3 years, and God, have I been patient with this! It started off good, I had no side effects at all, but then after 2 years, I started to have cramps every month. Two weeks prior to my period, I would get severe cramps and bloating. Sometimes my breasts would be tender and sore, and my legs felt so heavy and sore as well! The only good news from it is that I haven't gotten pregnant, and my skin glows! Now, after 3 years of taking it, I'm considering switching from it."

For Birth Control "I was on Lutera, but I changed doctors, and he only had Aubra, so I started taking that, and horrible, I bleed non-stop, and it gave me horrible cramps. Anytime my boyfriend and I had intercourse, it caused me to bleed even more, like I had my period again. Worst birth control ever, didn't agree with me, so I went back to my doctor and told him to give me a prescription for Lutera, and I just got my Lutera and started taking it. Already I feel better."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on the pill for almost a month now, and I’ve been getting bad cramps. I always feel bloated and nauseous, and I’ve gained some weight. And I wouldn’t recommend it, but it has made my skin clear up."

For Birth Control "Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this pill. I read all the terrible reviews and still went for it. I was previously on Microgestion for 6 months, it did me wonderful. When it came time to get my new packs, Planned Parenthood supposedly didn't carry it anymore. I was told Aubra was the exact same thing and wouldn't affect me differently. What a lie that was. Two weeks into my pack and I got my period again for the month. Third week and I'm having terrible cramps accompanied by more bleeding. My appetite has changed, I'm not eating much. Grateful I haven't experienced acne, mood changes, nausea, or headaches. But don't even want to chance it. Contemplating if I should throw out the pack or finish and just drop. DON'T RECOMMEND!!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Aubra for about 6-7 months now, and I have had no major side effects. The only thing I can really complain about is before, when I got my period, I would never get cramps. Now, when I do have it, I get cramps, but they are very minor. I had little to no acne before taking it, and I have noticed I only get a few pimples here and there. My sex drive has not changed at all, still pretty good. Mood swings are a bit of a problem to where I will get upset with my boyfriend for not replying in a timely manner over dumb stuff I get upset. And no weight gain at all. But other than that, Aubra has gotten me on a regular monthly period, before, I only had it maybe 3 times a year."

For Birth Control "Love this bc! It made my periods lighter, my skin clearer, and no pregnancy, of course. However, I still get cramps, and occasional mood swings occur. I’ve been taking this for almost 2 and a half years now, and it’s worked great for me."

For Birth Control "I'm on my third pack of Aubra, and so far it hasn't been well. I've been on one other OC pill, and this one was worse. I have experienced extremely painful cramps and weight gain. And my face (normally pretty clear) has broken out with so much acne, and I've experienced vaginal dryness. But I'm not pregnant, and it does its job. My period hasn't gotten lighter or heavier, so it's pretty normal. I'm debating just continuing this pill to see if my face clears up."

For Birth Control "I started this pill because for whatever reason, I had a menstrual period for over a month. This awful pill slowed it down, but I'm still bleeding, almost 2 months now. I have awful migraines, acne, gained weight, terrible mood swings, and the worst cramps. I need off this ASAP."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for 3 months now and have had several negative side effects. I'm experiencing acne, bleeding, and cramping between periods, severe anxiety, headaches, moodiness, and weight gain. However, it has prevented pregnancy thus far."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I ever went on, and it worked great. No side effects! No child! After a year (March '19), Planned Parenthood gave me Aubra EQ. If this happened to anyone else, I would like to know. I was unaware it was different and took it. Immediately, I had symptoms such as mood swings, cramping, and nausea. I got the worst cramping I’ve ever had. At the end of the month, my period did not come. I have taken many tests, and they say I’m not pregnant, but yet I have not gotten my period. PP says they do not carry Aubra anymore, just Aubra EQ, and according to them, it’s the same. But obviously not."
