For Birth Control "Horrible side effects! I'm super moody, terrible acne, mild to excruciating cramp pain, I'm having outbursts at work, and crying myself to sleep. Just stay away from this. All birth controls are bad, but this one tops the cake."

For Birth Control "Horrible BC. I have never in my life experienced any skin problems, but once I got on this pill, I had pimples all over my face. I got my period almost twice a month and a lot of spotting. Also had mood swings on it. At least my cramps stopped and breast tenderness stopped, but other than that HORRIBLE!"

For Birth Control "18 years old. 4th month. Some symptoms: sickness (worse right after taking the pill and more around 1-4 am), migraines, bad cramps (on and off period), nausea (I still haven't vomited, but there are times when I think it'll be more satisfying than feeling like it), my stomach sticks out like a balloon, I've been pretty emotional (I get really sad and have no idea why), I fainted twice and get dizzy often, my body feels weak and I bruise easily, both knees cramp up, but my period is regular and light, and my acne has gone down. Also, I'm not pregnant, so that's good too."

For Birth Control "As someone who has always struggled with severe hormonal acne that I’ve been able to tame with good skincare, diet, exercise, etc., this helped so much in balancing my hormones and preventing hormonal breakouts. I didn’t gain any weight, but my breasts did get bigger and firmer. I used to get some bad cramps, but I haven’t had any since starting Aubra, and my period is so much lighter now and was only about 4 days. Most importantly, I haven’t gotten pregnant. I got a few headaches when I first started and some mood swings, but it wasn’t anything crazy, so I’d say the side effects for me have been very minimal."

For Birth Control "Okay, so I thought the side effects would leave, but I'm nearing the end of my second pack and they've not gotten any better. My first period on the pill (aside from when I started) came four days early, had worse pain than any of them before, my menstrual flow had tissue in it, I could barely eat, I threw up, and had to sleep constantly because I was so weak and lightheaded. I'm hoping the next one is better, but if it's not, I'm going to have to switch. I'm nauseous, fatigued, and get cramps constantly. I'd say a pro is that I'm not pregnant, but I don't even have sex, so... I got on Aubra to stabilize my cycle and reduce the effects on me every period (I've missed school because of it), but it hasn't done anything good for me yet."

For Birth Control "I like this birth control. I hardly ever get cramps on it, and I don't really get any side effects on it. Also, my boobs got bigger, which my boyfriend likes. I've always had clear skin, and that's stayed the same on this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for almost a year, I have noticed my behavior towards my relationship. I tend to get emotional for no reason, cry all the time. My mood swings switch a lot, I lost my personality. I push people away and want to be alone. I have noticed I will get my period in the middle of the month when I’m not on my sugar week. I get bad cramps, I am now starting to gain 10 pounds more than what I weighed a year ago. I’m going to the doctor today and hope to get a different brand."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for about six months. At first, I felt a lot of side effects like nausea, headaches, sore breasts, but also an oddly increased libido. My periods became light and only last a max of four days, which is a plus, as I used to regularly bleed through pads and tampons in a couple of hours. However, I have experienced random clusters of acne on my chin, forehead, and neck since taking the pill. Another upside/downside for me is the cramps. I used to have excruciating cramps during the week of my period, but now I have persistent cramps for one, sometimes two whole weeks before my period."

For Birth Control "Was on this for about 3 months, normally the time frame for deciding whether or not your body reacts well to a medication. Periods were fine and normal, lasted about 5 days, light to moderate. Still got cramps around the second day and acne about a week or so prior to my period. I started to get inter-menstrual cramping and sharp pain in between periods. Normally, if I miss a pill, or a few, I can take them all, up to 4, shit happens, and be fine. With this, I felt really sick and crampy if I took more than 2. I gained about 15 lbs in 3 months, but I also had moved across the country and started a new desk job, so can't account that all to the medication. No mood swings or headaches. Definitely increased discharge though."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for 3 months. It's effective but major negative side effects. I've been bleeding pretty bad between periods (seems to be worse when I drink coffee, for the record). Along with the spotting, I've been getting cramps that feel worse than my usual period cramps. I've also been getting headaches much worse than I'm used to that seem to last forever. Periods have been lighter, which is a plus, but obviously, all the blood that should be draining isn't because of all the spotting. It isn't all bad, but I'm switching for sure."

For Birth Control "I have taken birth control pills to make my body have a period since I was 15. I switched to Depo for almost a year and then to Implanon before it became Nexplanon and switched back to the pill because my periods were too irregular and painful. Aubra has not helped my irregular periods or cramping. If I miss a pill, my period is so light it doesn't seem like a period. If I miss 2, I won't have my period but still get insane cramps. I can't tell if I have a cyst or not, but it hurts more than a normal period, and it's really scary because follicular cysts are when your body doesn't release the egg and instead the sac it sits in fills with fluid until it pops or damages your internal organs, and you can get sepsis. And I'm getting the worst acne of my life. The pack says Aubra, not Aubra EQ or whatever, so if they changed their formula, it was before they changed their packaging. I have taken this pill for 8 months hoping it would stabilize, but it's getting worse."

For Birth Control "On my second month and period is light to nonexistent! Only PMS I had was slight cramping and nausea. I've never been on the pill before, but this has been a true blessing. Sex drive seems to be normal as a lot of people say otherwise. Lost 3 lbs so far, not sure if that is pill or not, though. Do seem to be very gassy, though, and wasn't before starting. Hope to be able to get this for years."

For Birth Control "Well, I've been on this birth control pill for about a year now. When I first started this pill, I broke out really bad. Acne was horrible! My stomach hurt so bad from cramping. I felt nauseous a lot. About two weeks after starting the pill, my symptoms got better. Everything was normal. My cycle was lighter. Cleared acne. The only time I would get acne was close to my monthly cycle. The pill does work against pregnancy, which is great, but the emotions and weight gain are the bad parts about the pill. Within this year of being on this pill, I packed on at least 25 pounds. I'm thinking about switching off birth control completely, though. I'm always ready to cry about everything!"

For Birth Control "I took it for 6 months. Worst 6 months of my life. I felt sick EVERY single day. After taking the pill, 1-2 hours later I felt like vomiting. I would NEVER recommend this to ANYONE. I had severe cramps & headaches."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for a year and a couple of months now. Before I took the pill, I rode the train every day to work and school with no problems. Now I get sick and nauseous every time. I get very emotional about the simplest things. I cried on the train once because I got off at the wrong stop. On top of that, my period lasts 8 days, whereas they were lasting 3-5. I have the same amount of cramps. Breasts are very tender 2 days before my period. Acne seems like it's never going away. Weight gain. Bloating of stomach, kind of. I want to change pills but don't know what to switch to."

For Birth Control "I was on Loestrin/LoMedia for close to 10 years, never had an issue, never had bad periods with it (my periods before BC were debilitating, I would always get sick and have heavy, long periods with death cramps). I had to switch to Aubra because my hospital kept getting back-ordered months on Loestrin. Aubra is supposed to be of similar formulation, the progesterone component is a different chemical than I'm used to, though, despite it being the same micrograms. I'm on week 3 of active pills and on a heavy period that started 4 days ago. Have had painful cramps and back pain since I started it. Still have the mild cramps, but bad back pain. Hate these pills, miss my old ones. Granted, I am getting older, maybe that has something to do with."

For Birth Control "I've been on for 3 months, and each month my period has been horrendous. This month it came a week early. I've had excruciating cramps and huge clots. Needless to say, I won't be taking these anymore!"
