For Birth Control "Had to switch off this pill. Gave me cyst-like pimples all over my body. I've never had this many breakouts. The first month was OK because I had a very mild period week, minimal cramping. However, by the 3rd month, it's actually gotten worse. I have even more breakouts now. Switching off and never returning to this pill. Horrible reaction."

For Birth Control "It's my first time taking Aubra. During the active pills, I noticed I cry so much more than normal over the smallest things, but that's the only inconvenience. Once I started the placebo pills at the end of the pack, things got so different, my face is breaking out so bad. I get bad headaches so randomly, and I start to feel sick at random times of the day. And they make my appetite so much larger, so I'm sure I've gained a few pounds. Otherwise, it's preventing pregnancy, so that's great. Would recommend."

For Birth Control "This was my first BC, and I started taking it at 21 to prevent pregnancy. Been using it for 6 months and never had a scare. I had moderately bad acne before starting, and it reduced it quite a bit. My periods became extremely regular; 28-day cycles as opposed to 35-day ones I had prior. I didn’t gain any weight, but I noticed an increase of around one cup size. All in all, good BC, and I will continue using it."

For Birth Control "I haven't gotten pregnant after taking this for a year, and that is probably the only good thing I have to say about this. I am in my early 30s, and I now have acne again and absolutely no sex drive. It's to the point of ruining my relationship..."

For Birth Control "I switched over to this after having a pregnancy on my other pill. But I'm now 4-5 months in and my sex drive or desire is nonexistent completely. My acne is the same as it was, and my periods are rather light, which is not normal for me, and personally I don't like it because they don't feel regular anymore. I've had a hard time emotionally since I started this pill. I started it when a very emotionally traumatic event happened, so I'm not sure if it's the pill, but it has been a few months and I feel very eh most of the time still regardless of the event."

For Birth Control "The only good thing about this medication is that I'm not pregnant. I've been taking Aubra for about 3 months now, and the issues I was told would go away after the first pack are still truckin'. My period is nothing more than a day or two of spotting, which is pretty cool, but the constant moodiness and terrible nausea are not worth it. My relationship and health are suffering from this. I'm always feeling sick to my stomach, so I've only been eating healthier, simpler foods, but they still make me feel awful. I've been gaining weight, breaking out, and freaking out at my boyfriend, and having random bouts of depression that are usually controlled by other medication I take. Also, the IBS-like symptoms I have constantly throughout the month!!"

For Birth Control "Aubra was the worst birth control pill I've been on. Broke out more than ever, was depressed the whole time I was on it. Not until I switched to another birth control pill that I realized it was Aubra that was causing it."

For Birth Control "First birth control I have taken. Started off with frequent, irregular periods. I was informed that having frequent periods is normal at first and will return to normal in time, which was true, my periods over time became less frequent than my regular ones. I recommend being proactive and taking the pill every day, or else your periods may start to be irregular again. I have also noticed frequent breakouts around my chin and cheek areas, and I have been feeling very hormonal with frequent, minor headaches."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this whatsoever. I’ve been taking this for about 2 months, and I’ve never experienced this type of depression or loss of motivation. Ever since starting Aubra, I’ve woken up 5/7 days of the week with a headache and absolutely no ambition to get out of bed. Acne has never been this bad either. Do not take. I can’t wait to get off this."

For Birth Control "I'm on my 2nd pack of Aubra. I have tried two other brands of 2-phase birth control pills, and I tried progesterone-only pills (POP) too before Aubra. The POP gave me so many issues. Well, with all the issues, I went back to Planned Parenthood, and she gave me Aubra. However, I wanted to let you know what I've experienced with Aubra. My period came with the placebo pills. It was the best period I have ever had in my life. I hardly noticed it! No cramps, light, no bloating, good energy level, and exactly the right number of days. I was feeling great! Started the 2nd pack. As the days have gone by, my face, neck, and upper back have broken out in very painful acne. I am 28 and haven't had any major acne since I was 19. I'm going to finish out this pack. Then no more!"

For Birth Control "First birth control pill. Got a little acne before I was on it and get a little still. Plan on changing to a different BC though because it makes me extremely emotional and depressed. I messed up and forgot to take it for three days, and my period was affected, but once I got back on track and stayed on track, my periods were regular. Seemed to lose weight, but I still don't know if that's because of the birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for about six months. At first, I felt a lot of side effects like nausea, headaches, sore breasts, but also an oddly increased libido. My periods became light and only last a max of four days, which is a plus, as I used to regularly bleed through pads and tampons in a couple of hours. However, I have experienced random clusters of acne on my chin, forehead, and neck since taking the pill. Another upside/downside for me is the cramps. I used to have excruciating cramps during the week of my period, but now I have persistent cramps for one, sometimes two whole weeks before my period."

For Birth Control "Was on this for about 3 months, normally the time frame for deciding whether or not your body reacts well to a medication. Periods were fine and normal, lasted about 5 days, light to moderate. Still got cramps around the second day and acne about a week or so prior to my period. I started to get inter-menstrual cramping and sharp pain in between periods. Normally, if I miss a pill, or a few, I can take them all, up to 4, shit happens, and be fine. With this, I felt really sick and crampy if I took more than 2. I gained about 15 lbs in 3 months, but I also had moved across the country and started a new desk job, so can't account that all to the medication. No mood swings or headaches. Definitely increased discharge though."

For Birth Control "I have taken birth control pills to make my body have a period since I was 15. I switched to Depo for almost a year and then to Implanon before it became Nexplanon and switched back to the pill because my periods were too irregular and painful. Aubra has not helped my irregular periods or cramping. If I miss a pill, my period is so light it doesn't seem like a period. If I miss 2, I won't have my period but still get insane cramps. I can't tell if I have a cyst or not, but it hurts more than a normal period, and it's really scary because follicular cysts are when your body doesn't release the egg and instead the sac it sits in fills with fluid until it pops or damages your internal organs, and you can get sepsis. And I'm getting the worst acne of my life. The pack says Aubra, not Aubra EQ or whatever, so if they changed their formula, it was before they changed their packaging. I have taken this pill for 8 months hoping it would stabilize, but it's getting worse."

For Birth Control "I experienced little to no side effects on this birth control. I did experience some spotting and nausea when I first began, but that subsided after a few days. I began to feel very nauseous during my first non-hormone week (which I confused as morning sickness), so be aware of that. I had acne before starting, and Aubra neither cleared this nor worsened my skin. Overall, very effective and a great choice!"

For Birth Control "This birth control isn't really good or bad in my opinion. I originally was on Depo and decided to switch to the pill due to some friends saying it took their acne away and all cramps. Well, big mistake. Don't ever take anyone's opinion on medicine for you. I have scars all over my face from acne, it gets worse certain times of the month. I have IBS-C (irritable bowel syndrome with constipation), and I'm currently on medicine for that as well. It messes with my stomach and makes it act up, which is why I was worried about having to digest a pill. The Depo made me gain around 6 lbs in the 3 months, and I've gained 12 lbs so far being on this pill for 5 months. I'm 18, about 5'8" and was 105 lbs before I got on BC. I've never been able to gain weight, but wow, this was all at once and kind of a lot for me. Aside from that, I have no sex drive, I get headaches now, and I'm thinking of going back on Depo because I still get TERRIBLE cramps. It has reduced some bleeding, but it still hurts to stand for 2 days, which isn't okay since I have a job."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for almost 3 years. Mood swings were horrible at first, then got manageable. Started developing horrible acne, which I have never had before, and I know it's from the pill :( it comes on a week before my period every month and lasts 2 weeks. Hoping to switch and find something better for me."

For Birth Control "Pretty good so far. On month three. First month, I was very emotional and felt sick. Second and third feel completely fine. Periods are short for me (I have always had 3-day periods) and not heavy. Still not pregnant, so that's great. Skin is fine, do get 2 or 3 zits but very tiny. No weight gain either."

For Birth Control "Well, I've been on this birth control pill for about a year now. When I first started this pill, I broke out really bad. Acne was horrible! My stomach hurt so bad from cramping. I felt nauseous a lot. About two weeks after starting the pill, my symptoms got better. Everything was normal. My cycle was lighter. Cleared acne. The only time I would get acne was close to my monthly cycle. The pill does work against pregnancy, which is great, but the emotions and weight gain are the bad parts about the pill. Within this year of being on this pill, I packed on at least 25 pounds. I'm thinking about switching off birth control completely, though. I'm always ready to cry about everything!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for a year and a couple of months now. Before I took the pill, I rode the train every day to work and school with no problems. Now I get sick and nauseous every time. I get very emotional about the simplest things. I cried on the train once because I got off at the wrong stop. On top of that, my period lasts 8 days, whereas they were lasting 3-5. I have the same amount of cramps. Breasts are very tender 2 days before my period. Acne seems like it's never going away. Weight gain. Bloating of stomach, kind of. I want to change pills but don't know what to switch to."

For Birth Control "I hate this birth control. First month of taking it, and my face completely broke out like I've never broken out before. My depression and anxiety were off the charts, also, I had a low sex drive. I was not happy with this. Don't take this BC, you'll regret it!"

For Birth Control "This is my first birth control ever, and I really love it. I used to have a horrible period and break out very, very bad. I have cleared, and my period is much lighter and shorter. It seems like for this to be a person's first birth control, it works fine."

For Birth Control "I couldn't even wait a few months to stop taking this, it's been a little over a week, and this pill has begun to make my skin worse than ever before. I've broken out in tiny, under-the-skin, rough whiteheads on my forehead, along my cheekbones, and heavily concentrated on my jawline."

For Birth Control "18 years old. 4th month. Some symptoms: sickness (worse right after taking the pill and more around 1-4 am), migraines, bad cramps (on and off period), nausea (I still haven't vomited, but there are times when I think it'll be more satisfying than feeling like it), my stomach sticks out like a balloon, I've been pretty emotional (I get really sad and have no idea why), I fainted twice and get dizzy often, my body feels weak and I bruise easily, both knees cramp up, but my period is regular and light, and my acne has gone down. Also, I'm not pregnant, so that's good too."
