For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking the starting dosage for 5 weeks, and it's working pretty well so far. Not a lot of weight loss. I've only lost 8 pounds, have not dropped clothing sizes yet. I am on metformin also, so I was already experiencing a little stomach distress, other than that, it's okay. My reading for my A1c went down. I do have indigestion sometimes, but not bad. So overall, it's a go for me."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Trulicity has been great thus far. I started on metformin but had stomach aches and diarrhea all the time, it was hard to function like a normal person when you're always on the toilet. My doctor got me started on Trulicity. I've been on it for almost two full months. I was on a small dose for the first month-I was nauseous the first 4 days after injection and then I'd snap out of it. The last dose I took didn't really seem to have any side effects. After 4 weeks, my doctor upped my dose to 1.5 mg. I have one injection left to do. Again, the only side effect I'm coming across is nausea that is off and on throughout the day, lasting the entire week. I have good and bad days. It has changed my eating habits, I haven't noticed it being worse with anything in particular that I'm eating. I have lost about 10 lbs in two months, so nothing significant for me. Everyone is different. Just try it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Took my first dose of Trulicity Friday morning along with my metformin as advised by Dr. Late evening, my glucose started dropping and I started feeling nausea. Ate a sandwich and drank OJ to keep glucose up. Saturday was awful - nausea, vomiting, and stomach discomfort. I found old meds for nausea and that has helped except it makes me groggy. I’m eating small meals through the day and waiting to see how my body adapts. Keeping an eye on my glucose level; at night I keep a sandwich by my bed in case I wake up with a low number - under 100 interrupts my sleep. Hope side effects improve because I need to get this 7.5 down. Back to work on Monday and can’t be feeling sick all day."

For Type 2 Diabetes "This is day 2 for me. I had a little nausea today. I am trying really hard to get off of insulin. I hope this works. I was on Victoza for 4 years, so I am used to nausea and stomach issues."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Horrible! Worst medicine ever. I got the injection on Monday, it’s Friday, and I’ve been 3 days without any sleep because of the stomach ache, gas, and reflux."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My blood glucose was in the high 300s for about 3 weeks, and my A1c was 13. My sight went blurry as well. I went to my Dr. He put me on 2000 mg of Metformin a day. The worst stomach flu I have ever had is the only comparison! I was so sick I couldn't leave my house for fear of not getting to a bathroom in time! After 4 weeks, he took me off that and went to 0.75 Trulicity, and I freaking love it. I take mine first thing in the AM with nothing on my stomach, followed by water. I had some nausea, gas, and a little sour stomach the day I take the injection. It usually subsides that day, and I am good the rest of the week unless I eat greasy or super rich. My hunger and cravings are almost nonexistent. I have consistently lost 2 lbs a week. My sugars stay in the low 100s and my A1c is a 6! I have been on this dose for 6 weeks, and now I have just gone up to the next dose, and I am so very happy with it! Good luck, all."
