For Birth Control "I previously took Lo Loestrin and had depression, breakthrough bleeding, and just a general feeling of blah. My MD switched me to Beyaz, and those feelings are gone. And, as a benefit, somehow or another, I have lost like 8 lbs in the past month. Of course, I exercise regularly and eat right, but seem to have less of an appetite. Love this pill!"

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I have been on this pill for 3 months going into 4 and have had my ups and downs with it. The 1st month, I experienced intense mood swings, I was crying and angry all the time and just wanted to be alone. The 2nd month, I was wondering why my acne wasn't going away, but my moods had improved. Although I was experiencing breakthrough bleeding for 15 days, I continued to take the pill. My period also brought cramps like no other. The 3rd month, I have been feeling sort of depressed, but I think that's due to life, not the pill. My breakthrough bleeding still occurred (some days light, some days none), and my skin has improved. I lost weight on Beyaz. I am looking forward to what month 4 brings and hoping all of the negative symptoms are gone."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "One of the better experiences with birth control I've had. Granted, I still experienced side effects like some mood swings in the beginning (nothing too severe) and nausea, possibly some related constipation. However, it kept my PMDD symptoms confined to shorter periods of time (a day or two every month or so, as opposed to 3-5 days every month). Breakthrough bleeding was a problem on it after a while, but that could be related to skipping placebos. Compared to other birth control pills I've been on which have sent me into manic/depressive cycles, this has been the best for my body. For comparison, I don't do well with any birth control pills containing northindrone."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 2 weeks now, and let me explain I've never been on birth control before. I experienced just about no side effects so far, no unusual weight gain, headaches, or cravings. No bad mood swings, and it's already helping my acne (the reason I went on it). The downfall: I've been bleeding for the whole 2 weeks I've been on it. I started it the day of my period as instructed, usually, I bleed for 4-5 days, but I have had my period now for 2 weeks straight. I think it's getting light and about to go away, and then I wake up the next morning, and it's back again! If this side effect continues into the next pack, I may have to give up Beyaz. I am on the generic, by the way."

For Birth Control "It took almost 8 months, but it finally started to work. My periods were so heavy I would go through a Tampax Ultra in less than an hour and have to stay home during my periods. I would have to get up several times during the night. I would bleed some months for 30 days even on the Beyaz. My last two months, I have bled less than three days and can use a lite Tampax. It took a while, but I am so happy I stuck with it. No weight gain either!!!!"

For Birth Control "The only reason I got on Beyaz was because I developed 2 very large ovarian cysts. My doctor recommended the pill to reduce ovulation, which would only make the cyst bigger. I was scared that I was going to gain weight. At first, I hated the pill because I bled very lightly for an entire month. My doctor said that was normal for the first month. Then I noticed that my skin was clearing up really nicely. I didn't notice any weight gain, but the best part was Beyaz sorted my monthly cramps. I was so relieved. The only thing I can say that I don't like about Beyaz is that if I miss a pill and take it when I remember, it seems like over the next 2 or 3 days my acne flares up really bad, and I hate that. Just stay consistent, I recommend it 100%."

For Birth Control "Beyaz was my first birth control pill. I bled throughout the first month, and I got cramps, which really scared me because I usually have short periods and almost never get cramps. After the first month, the bleeding stopped, my face cleared up, and my sex drive increased. Sadly, after 6-7 months of being on Beyaz, I noticed my vaginal lubrication wasn't the same, even when my sex drive was high. For me, that was a huge upside down, and I decided to switch to another pill, but I would definitely recommend it since that was the only side effect I experienced."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for eight months. My skin is clearer than ever. I have occasional breakthrough bleeding, but it's just spotting, nothing big, no mood swings, but once a month my belly bloats a little bit. Didn't make me gain any weight, though."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I was on Jolessa for a year and bled for almost the entire time. The doctor put me on Beyaz at my insistence. Bleeding finally stopped in the 3rd or 4th week. Have not bled since. I have period symptoms, but no bleeding. My PMDD is so much better on Beyaz. On Jolessa, I had hard little bumps on my right cheek. On Beyaz, those don't break above the skin anymore, so aren't a problem. My only real gripe is the cost ($75 co-pay for the generic 3-pack), and the period symptoms that can last a week or more."

For Birth Control "I have been on Safyral for 2 months. I like it a lot so far. I have had some breakthrough bleeding, but I think that is because I started the pill in the middle of my cycle when I had an IUD (Mirena) removed after 4 years. My skin looks great. I get mild bloating and breast tenderness just before my period, which goes away with the start of my period. Nothing majorly inconvenient. I think that after a few months of use, when my hormones get back on a normal cycle, things will even out."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for 2 years until it started giving me bad cramping and breakthrough bleeding on the active pills. I think my body was starting to reject it, or the dosage just wasn't high enough anymore. Then my doctor suggested trying Safyral and gave me 2 free samples. I just finished my first month, and it wasn't too bad. The worst side effect I had was nausea. My breasts felt fuller, but they went back to their normal size after my period. My period was lighter, and the cramping wasn't that bad. I didn't gain any weight or feel bloated. I will have to see how this next month is... I plan on staying on this pill!"

For Birth Control "This medication is absolutely terrible. I was given the generic, Rajani, and for the last three months my face is completely broken out. It hasn't handled my PMDD, and I've had breakthrough bleeding. This medication is the worst, and my skin is so bad I'm embarrassed to go out in public."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medicine to help with my erratic periods. It was great, at first. About eight months into it, I became anemic from heavy bleeding and had nine-day periods instead of four. I've also experienced spotting eight months into taking it."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 2 to 3 months. I have terrible menstrual cramps, acne did clear up. Heavy bleeding during the period, but no breakthrough bleeding. Not pregnant! Very moody and cry over sad songs and sad commercials. I'm going back to the doctor in a few weeks and changing."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for about a month, and the first week was great. But then I started to bleed heavily, and it hasn't stopped for two weeks. I've got bad back aches and terrible acne, as well as bloating. I'm looking forward to switching off this and onto Lo Loestrin Fe."

For Birth Control "I switched to Beyaz about 4 years ago, after being on OrthoNovum. The first 3 months were tough. I recall having irritability, fatigue, discolored complexion, breakthrough bleeding during sex, etc. After that transition, I felt fine. About 2 years ago, my period began being lighter and lighter and eventually went away. I asked my GYN if it was okay, and she assured me that Beyaz may eliminate my period. At first, I was displeased because I wanted a period to prove that I wasn't pregnant each month. But when my gyno told me she could put me on something else to force a period, I told her no! Now with the new year, I discovered that my new RX plan doesn't cover ANY of the BEYAZ/RAJANI/SAFYRAL contraceptives. I'm DOOMED!! :-("

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for two years. I switched to this from Ortho Tri-Cyclen because I was having breakthrough bleeding. One month into it, I was having terrible cystic acne, two months into it, I had a severe panic attack. Two years later, I am incredibly depressed and bloated before my period, along with crazy migraines for 3-4 days straight. I am unable to lose weight even with running 4 miles a day. I am switching to Lo Loestrin 24 Fe and will try a lower-dosed pill. I have also experienced terrible leg cramps and fatigue like never before."

For Birth Control "I switched to Safyral two months ago after losing my insurance and needing free samples to carry me until my new job provided me with coverage. I have been on Ocella and Yasmin, depending on which was free at the time of refill, since I was 15 (now 26) and have had a great experience. My periods were always regular, minimal breakthrough bleeding (only occurring when I missed a pill or two), no cramps, 3-4 day periods with very light bleeding. Since switching to Safyral, I experience consistent breakthrough bleeding. Three to four days before I expect my period, I get nauseous, dizzy/faint, and get horrible cramps. I'm really looking forward to going back to Ocella. This is not similar to Ocella and Yasmin as I was told previously."

For Birth Control "Beyaz didn't work for me. My GYN put me on this pill because I wasn't ovulating. This pill turned out to be my worst nightmare. The first week, I became very emotional and had light menstrual bleeding and cramps. The second week, my bleeding became heavier and cramps turned into pressure in my lower abdominal area. The pressure made me so uncomfortable. No medicine helped. I called my GYN office and spoke with her nurse. She suggested doubling up on the meds I was currently taking. That helped some, but not much. The third week, the bleeding became extreme with large blood clots. Having to wear 2 huge pads at a time was awful. And the pressure turned back into pain. I called my GYN back, and they advised me to stop the pill immediately."

For Acne "Started this medicine for acne. I was on Tri-Sprintec previously, which was doing okay, but I began to have breakthrough bleeding for 3 weeks, so we switched, but the acne was improving great. One month into taking Beyaz, and I was shaking a lot, and my hands were very noticeable. My heart was beating out of my chest. I ended up sick and in Urgent Care (unrelated) and found my blood pressure was high. I began to follow this closely and found it stayed high, and the shaking, heart palpitations, and high blood pressure all come hand in hand as rare side effects of this medication. I stopped it, and by day 2, returned to normal. I began to have horrible migraines from stopping the medicine, though, and my acne wasn’t as clear on this as Tri-Sprintec."

For Birth Control "I was on Safyral for 4 months. I had breakthrough bleeding the first month, then it stopped (which was very fast for me! It was great). However, my acne increased, and I was tired all the time. Also, I had terribly sore breasts and white vaginal discharge every last week of active pills. My periods became much lighter with fewer cramps. When I stopped taking the pill, my acne was 90% gone the next day! I couldn't believe it! My face looked cleaner than before I started this pill. I was off the pill for a month, and my acne still is very small (which is good because I used to have bad breakouts). A couple of days ago, I started taking LoEstrin 24, we'll see what it does."

For Birth Control "I'm 29 and have been on Safyral for 3 months now for irregular bleeding. I have breast tenderness, bad cramps, acne, and I am also very moody! My anxiety level has raised a little, and the bleeding is heavier than normal. This is also my first time ever taking the pill. This is my last pack I'm taking."

For Birth Control "So I'm barely on my first pack of this, but I'm a little worried. I've been on probably five different birth controls: Sprintec, Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, Lomedia 24 L, Amethyst, etc., etc. With those, I would eventually have breakthrough bleeding that wouldn't stop, so I kept switching. Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo was awful, I broke out so bad. So my doctor suggested a higher hormone dosage since I kept having breakthrough bleeding. Since I've started this, my stomach hurts a lot, kind of like cramps. I have headaches, my breasts have gotten a lot bigger, and they hurt to barely be touched. I also seem to have gained weight, obviously with my breasts being bigger. I'm scared kind of, but I read to give it a few months, and hopefully, it goes away. No bleeding though."

For Birth Control "I started Beyaz a year ago, and wow, it's been a trip! First 3 months, I bled non-stop. I started the pill at the beginning of my period, so naturally, I went the first few days with my period. But after my usual 3-4 day cycle, I wouldn't stop bleeding. It wasn't period bleeding, but there was definitely spotting to the point where I had to wear a liner or pad. For 3 consecutive months, I spotted non-stop. When I went back to the doctor for my next packets, she said I just needed to adjust. As soon as I started my 4th month, things were normal. I stopped spotting, I bled only during my period, and things were fine. I also broke out only on my chin during the first 2 months. Eventually, it cleared up and everything was good. I haven't had a pregnancy scare, my boyfriend and I never use condoms, so I think it's been really effective. The only thing I will say is that I used to rarely get cramps before, and now I get some, usually on my first day, and now my periods are about 4-5 days instead of 3-4."

For Birth Control "I've been on Yaz for years, and like most people, I switched to Beyaz because of the saving card. I've only been on it for a month. I have not stopped bleeding/spotting since I got my last period. I've tried different birth control over the years, and I never had this problem before. If this is the same as Yaz, I don't understand why I'm having this issue. I thought about trying it another month, but I'm not sure I can handle bleeding for 60 days if this continues."
