For Birth Control "I had seen the comments before I started taking this birth control, and I was instantly scared. The first week, I experienced random headaches, but nothing too crazy. My boobs did grow significantly, but no other crazy weight gain. Also, my face broke out slightly, not really noticeable."

For Birth Control "First few weeks, I was bloated, had extreme cravings, breasts were sore and still are. I went up 3 cup sizes and gained about 5-10 lbs. The only consistent issue I’ve had is nausea, but it’s subsiding. I started Cyred about 7 months ago, took it for 3 months straight with NO SIDE EFFECTS, and then I skipped about 3 months and went back on it, which could be why I’m now experiencing these side effects. Since I started Cyred the second time, I’ve only completed one month's worth. I notice a change in texture in my skin, though not large breakouts (I don’t have acne ever). I’ve tried 4 different BC, including this one, one also including the depo shot, which I DO NOT recommend. But so far, this OC is the only one that my body has adjusted to the weight gain, and I’m starting to gain in more “flattering” places. I’m confident my experience with Cyred will get better as my body gets used to it. Nothing too severe as far as side effects."

For Birth Control "So a lot of these reviews really scared me, but this pill works great for me. It’s easy to take because it’s small, and I haven’t had any crazy mood swings. It’s been a little strange sometimes, and I might have gained a little weight, but that’s all. If you’ve been prescribed this, I would say just go with it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Cyred for about a month now, I just finished the first pack. I started taking BC to avoid pregnancy and to regulate my period because I wouldn’t have it for months at a time. The first week my breasts started to get tender, but nothing unbearable. I would get some cramps and constipation, but again, nothing too bad. I did notice some weight gain and an increase in appetite. My breasts have noticeably grown, but I guess that’s a plus. I had clear skin before starting Cyred, and I still have clear skin now. I had moments where I was more emotional and irritable than normal, but it occurred around the time I would start my period. Before Cyred, my heavy periods would last about 5-7 days, but now I would bleed heavily the first day and have a light period the following two days. I take the pill at 8 pm every day (sometimes 1/2 an hour before/after) because I don’t usually wake up at the same time every morning, but I am at least awake at 8 pm every day."

For Birth Control "Moody, depression, lethargic, weight gain, and overall more emotional. Lost my sex drive completely, and my depression has taken over my life. It’s awful, and I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. Take anything else. I have been on 7 different types of birth control, and this has been the second to worst, the worst being the Depo-Provera shot. I am getting off of it as quick as I can right now. The only good things about this medication are that it decreased my cramping and cleared up my face in the beginning. Please don’t take this. I felt awful for so long because I was recommended to “wait it out” for 3 months to “get used to it.” I was on it for a year and a half, and nothing has changed. Don’t do it!"

For Birth Control "Cyred seemed to be a very good option at first. No weight gain, no effects on acne (I saw no difference regarding breakouts), and I was able to stop my periods altogether, this led me to being hospitalized. This pill in particular contributed to the formation of a large blood clot, which was almost fatal for me. So for the reasons mentioned, I wouldn't recommend this one."

For Birth Control "This birth control ruined my life. I developed extreme anxiety that went away after stopping it. I would break out in pimples that looked like hives under my eyes, got worse every month. I gained a dramatic amount of weight. Stay far away. It’s a generic brand, and according to a doctor I spoke with, it has inactive ingredients that cause all the side effects. Apri is the only one that works for me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking birth control for about 2 years now, and I've taken probably 5-6 different pills. This experience was so bad that I wanted to write a review. I never had any side effects with any other pill; my body tends to adjust to the hormones well. This pill was another story. Three weeks in, I noticed the mood swings: depressed, fussy, and grumpy for a few days when nothing is wrong. And not to mention, weight gain was real with this one. My appetite has increased so much. I honestly cannot stop eating. I've gained probably 5-10 pounds in the last week or two."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I've ever been on. I am 25, and for 11 years, I never had side effects. Cyred made me extremely sick; my entire body was constantly swelling and aching. I had breast discharge, my moods were more unstable than they had been from any psychiatric medication before. My skin broke out and hurt; I gained a lot of weight."

For Birth Control "Pt. 2: My face still hasn't calmed down. The last bad side effect... I've gained weight. In the matter of 3 weeks, idk how it can work so fast, but my mother sat me down one day and asked me why I look... like a balloon, and I just started crying. On the other hand, I had no spotting, my sex drive was still fine. I wish I could rate this -2000 and not just a 1."

For Birth Control "I was using a form of Cyred for 1 1/2 years that I LOVED. I could skip taking the placebo pills, and I wouldn't get my period or spot. It helped clear my skin, and I didn't notice any mood swings, weight gain, or anything like that. About 3 months ago, when I went to get a replenishment, my gyno said Cyred had changed to Cyred EQ or that was just what they had now, something like that. Anyway, for the past three or so months, I've been taking the 'EQ' version, still skipping the placebo pills in hopes of not getting a period. I did get a period the first month but thought whatever, to be expected when 'switching' birth controls. For the next month and a half, no period, no spotting. Now, for the past three weeks, I've been spotting regularly. It's not heavy, but I do need to wear a panty liner. It'll even stop for a day and then come right back, so it's been pretty annoying, and I'm really hoping that passes with time. Other than that, my skin is still okay and no abnormal moodiness."

For Birth Control "Took this as pregnancy prevention, but mostly because I had really bad acne. I changed my routine and took this birth control, and now my skin is clear. Only negative is lately it causes me to be bloated almost 24/7! I’m almost positive it is from this birth control. I’m very sad to have these symptoms after 2 years on it. I'm switching to IUD. I also gained about 10 lbs (not in my boobs, unfortunately:)."

For Birth Control "I have been using this birth control for about a year now. From the very beginning, I would have the worst mood swings. At first, I thought it was just my body getting used to the pill, and then after a few months, I thought maybe it was just me. But here we are, a year later, I get constant acne in places I never had before. I am a college track athlete, so I run and work out every single day, and I have gained 16 pounds since last year. I get horrible anxiety, mood swings, and cry almost every day over small things."

For Birth Control "I've been using Cyred since 2017, and it definitely works because I'm not pregnant. It's an amazing pill, but don't get me wrong. The side effects that I've experienced are weight gain, sore breasts, and my libido drive went away. I did manage my libido drive, but it does get some time to get regulated with the pill. Besides that, it has cleared up my acne and has allowed me to not have any periods (instructed by doctor). I 100% recommend."
