For Birth Control "First few weeks, I was bloated, had extreme cravings, breasts were sore and still are. I went up 3 cup sizes and gained about 5-10 lbs. The only consistent issue I’ve had is nausea, but it’s subsiding. I started Cyred about 7 months ago, took it for 3 months straight with NO SIDE EFFECTS, and then I skipped about 3 months and went back on it, which could be why I’m now experiencing these side effects. Since I started Cyred the second time, I’ve only completed one month's worth. I notice a change in texture in my skin, though not large breakouts (I don’t have acne ever). I’ve tried 4 different BC, including this one, one also including the depo shot, which I DO NOT recommend. But so far, this OC is the only one that my body has adjusted to the weight gain, and I’m starting to gain in more “flattering” places. I’m confident my experience with Cyred will get better as my body gets used to it. Nothing too severe as far as side effects."

For Birth Control "HOLY ANXIETY AND MOOD SWINGS. I am on my 2nd pack and taking these pills has been something I didn't expect. The first two weeks are so awful for me. I know they say it takes 3 months for the body to adjust, but I honestly don’t know if I can make it that long on these. They make me feel like I am going crazy. I freak out about anything and everything now. Sometimes, I get really, really sad. Other times, I’m angry for no real reason. (This side effect only happened a couple of times, so it wasn’t that bad and hasn’t really come back.) I did not get the sore or tender breasts or headaches they report, so that is nice. I more so have nausea and the mood swings. The nausea didn’t seem too, too bad this time, but the mood swings are still very real and the worst thing about this. I wake up anxious, or one minute I’m happy, the next I’m anxious or sad and wanting to do nothing."

For Birth Control "I've been on this prescription for a month. It is my first birth control. My period came anyway at its normal time and doesn't seem to be slowing down a week later. I feel an increased sex drive, and I've been very moody (crying at nothing, getting unreasonably angry). Before my period came, I felt extremely nauseous, like I've never felt outside a hangover. It was awful. It's gone now, but if that happens again, I will stop taking it. My skin never broke out like it normally does before the period. One more thing: some of this could be attributed to me not taking them at the same exact time every day. I would do it within a 1- or 2-hour window."

For Birth Control "I have a couple of side effects, but I feel like it’s nothing you can’t handle. I get sore breasts for maybe 2-3 days. My period was 3 days, but now it’s 4-5 days. I have headaches here and there. Sometimes I lose my appetite and feel nauseous, but it only lasts 1-2 hours, and then I can eat again. I’m fine. I'd rather deal with this than deal with a kid, lol."

For Birth Control "This medicine has been in my life for 4 months, and in those 4 months, I’ve had the worst decrease in libido. Sex has become undesirable, and it’s impossible to get turned on. Not only that, I’ve been nauseous and moody. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "After 3 days of starting this new birth control, I was feeling nauseous. This lasted for a few days. Also, I've been bleeding for almost 3 weeks now. It's not heavy, but it's tiresome and getting costly to keep buying panty liners all the time."

For Birth Control "I was terrified to try this due to the reviews, but so far I’ve experienced absolutely nothing terrible, except nausea, but only on the first day, and my skin is starting to clear up, and I have severe cystic acne. I will update after taking it for a longer time."

For Birth Control "Been on this birth control for about a year and a half and never really had any notable side effects until about 4 months ago when I started to notice something was different. My acne came back and was worse than it was before I even started the medication, I’m always stressed and have the worst anxiety, constant migraines, mood swings, complete loss of sex drive, depression, bloating and cramping, loss of motivation, you name it, I’ve gotten it as a side effect. More recently (these past couple of weeks), I’ve been constantly nauseous and have been throwing up almost nonstop. It’s been so bad I’ve had to call out of work. I do not recommend this birth control. DON'T TAKE THIS."

For Birth Control "I had previously been on the patch, but I decided to switch to the pill because I didn't like how visible the patch was. I was prescribed Cyred, and BOY, did that take a downhill turn. I assumed my body wouldn't have trouble adjusting since I had already been on BC for a while. I started taking Cyred, and immediately I had random nausea, but nothing too horrible. I was getting a little moody too, crying more and noticing I was getting sad more often...but then it got worse. I have never struggled with depression before, but about 3 weeks into this pill pack, I was feeling severely depressed. It started interfering with my day-to-day life so much that I just stopped taking the birth control in the middle of a pack. I know it is different for everyone, but this pill caused me to have a really rough patch in my life for a couple of months. Yes, it does its job in preventing pregnancy, but along with that can come serious side effects."

For Birth Control "I switched to Cyred after my last cycle. I’m almost done with the package, and my skin has broken out. I personally usually have very clear skin. I started getting nauseous in the second week, but it has gotten a bit better. I get anxiety every now and then and have several mood swings. Even though I have migraines, I haven't experienced headaches. Overall, it’s affecting my mood and skin in a bad way, so I don't think I’ll even open my next pack that I got. It also makes my stomach hurt really bad at times."

For Birth Control "I recently started Cyred. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen (spelling? Lol) for a few years but realized it severely affected my depression and anxiety. I felt hopeless and decided to stop taking it. Now, taking Cyred, I have not had any issues with my depression and anxiety worsening (so thankful!!). The only side effects I have noticed were within my first 4 days of taking it, I would randomly get headaches or nausea. When I wasn't nauseous, I noticed an increase in my appetite, but nothing too out of control. Oh, and my acne is starting to clear up more."

For Birth Control "I absolutely hate this birth control. Before I switched to this, I had been on Tri Linyah (Ortho Tri-Cyclen) for 5 years, and it was great! However, I wanted to switch to a new pill because I felt breast tenderness more often, and I wanted the ability to skip my period (my old pill had different dosages each week, which made this difficult). I went on Cyred, and my skin has been awful from the beginning (like so bad), my boobs are still very sore, and I experience nausea constantly. I'm currently just stopping this pill even though I haven't been a day without BC since I was 15. I am abroad right now, and I am tired of what this pill is doing to me. Can't wait to visit a doctor back home to get my old pill back or start IUD."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Cyred birth control for a little over a month, and the largest side effect for me is acne. I usually never get acne, but now I do. Occasional mood swings and depression, but that might be just me. I take it at night, so I don’t feel nauseous during the day. I was only nauseous for the first week or two. I haven’t had any other side effects with it."

For Birth Control "I just started Cyred and I went on it to not get pregnant and to regulate my period and help with my acne. I have only been on it for a week so far. My skin has been pretty much the same, my acne isn’t terrible, but I still have a pimple here and there, which I’m not complaining about. But I didn’t start feeling the side effects until the end of the week. I already struggle with headaches and got a minor headache on my 8th day in, so I just took Advil. Then on the 9th day, I threw up in the morning due to the birth control. I’m not quite sure why because I take it at night after I eat. So I’m going to try and stick it out for as long as I can, but if I continue to get nauseous and throw up, I will switch to something else."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control a month and a half. The most bothersome side effect is my breast soreness. It even hurts to hug. No migraines or skin issues. I eat well and have been working out a lot, so I actually lost weight. I do get nauseous and loss of appetite occasionally, but I am able to skip my period, which is great. I did spot a bit after skipping two periods, so I took the placebos just to balance my body out. I have way less menstrual pain than normal. I'm going to stay on at least 3 months to see if the breast tenderness goes away!"

For Birth Control "I'm 18 and just got on this over a month ago. For the first couple of weeks, I had sore breasts, and I got nauseous at times. Threw up in my mouth once. But the rest actually wasn’t too bad."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill about a year ago, and it's been complete hell since I started. The first week and a half, I'm unbearably nauseous and hardly have an appetite. At first, I thought these symptoms would subside, but they never did. The next week and a half, I'm cursed with almost extreme PMS symptoms: ridiculous bloating, awful acne, breast pain; you name it. My periods last an entire week, and I get debilitating cramps, so bad that they make me sick the first few days. I tried to wait it out the year, but it's only gotten worse. This birth control has given me the worst anxiety, migraines, heart palpitations, and I'm dizzy constantly. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even my worst enemies. Please be cautious when using this."
