For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for four months now. The first was the worst, I was irritable, frequently sad, lethargic, and just overall moody. It cleared up my face and didn't change much in the way of flow on my period but did make them shorter. My sex drive has also decreased, as well as my eating habits. I find myself less hungry, but my breasts have grown in size. Now, four months later, I've been spotting non-stop for the past two weeks, and my face is breaking out in acne that rests under the skin. Going to change my prescription soon, but for a while, it was definitely tolerable."

For Birth Control "This pill is great for preventing pregnancy, but not so great on your body. I’ve been taking this pill for about 2 months, and I’ve experienced, in my first month, such awful sadness, depression, and anxiety. I would have panic attacks at times I never would before because it all came to much to handle, but after a month, they died down, and that wasn’t a problem anymore. But now I am about to start my 3rd pack, and I’m honestly about to just get condoms and wait to get a new prescription, 'cause I’ve had my period like 3 times this month. And yeah, I know you’re thinking, 'Oh, you could just be pregnant.' Well, I’ve been to doctors and taken tests, and no!!! Just this BC!!! May be the one for y'all, but the worst kind I’ve ever tried for me!"

For Birth Control "Been on Cyred for 2 years now, acne clear! In the beginning, I had mood swings, depression went through a really bad time for about 7 months. I decided to put up with it, and now I don't feel like that anymore. Some side effects that were common for me were migraines. Also, with women concerned about weight, what happens is your appetite increases. That goes for any pill, so you really have to watch what you are eating if it does that for you. Other than that, I like my BC."

For Birth Control "Been on this birth control for about a year and a half and never really had any notable side effects until about 4 months ago when I started to notice something was different. My acne came back and was worse than it was before I even started the medication, I’m always stressed and have the worst anxiety, constant migraines, mood swings, complete loss of sex drive, depression, bloating and cramping, loss of motivation, you name it, I’ve gotten it as a side effect. More recently (these past couple of weeks), I’ve been constantly nauseous and have been throwing up almost nonstop. It’s been so bad I’ve had to call out of work. I do not recommend this birth control. DON'T TAKE THIS."

For Birth Control "Pt. 1: This birth control started ruining my life. I only took it for 3 weeks because I couldn't stand it anymore. Literally, on day 3, I started getting powerful migraines, I couldn't sleep from them, my eyes would tear up, I started taking at least 4 Advil daily for them to be bearable. Then, I started feeling like pure rubbish, even more depressed than before. I wanted to slap everyone around me. You couldn't even talk to me. Now, on to my face. My face broke out like pure hell. I've been off of it for a week, and the breakouts on my jaw (and even around my nose, which never happened) are plentiful and so red."

For Birth Control "I've been using Cyred for about three weeks now, and it's doing a great job at preventing pregnancy, which is its main use for me. But I've been having terrible mood swings and depression from this pill. I've been on two other birth control pills, and they never gave me the mood swings and depression that Cyred has. With this being said, I'm going to stick it out for at least 2 months, since it takes 2-3 months for your body to even regulate the hormones out. I'm hoping this gets better."

For Birth Control "I had previously been on the patch, but I decided to switch to the pill because I didn't like how visible the patch was. I was prescribed Cyred, and BOY, did that take a downhill turn. I assumed my body wouldn't have trouble adjusting since I had already been on BC for a while. I started taking Cyred, and immediately I had random nausea, but nothing too horrible. I was getting a little moody too, crying more and noticing I was getting sad more often...but then it got worse. I have never struggled with depression before, but about 3 weeks into this pill pack, I was feeling severely depressed. It started interfering with my day-to-day life so much that I just stopped taking the birth control in the middle of a pack. I know it is different for everyone, but this pill caused me to have a really rough patch in my life for a couple of months. Yes, it does its job in preventing pregnancy, but along with that can come serious side effects."

For Birth Control "The Cyred pill heightened my depression and anxiety. I've been on it for six months now. I was fine the first few months, but once I got to my fourth month using it, things got worse. It's a normal thing for me to cry myself to sleep now, and I am always so anxious. I know I'm not an angry person, but this pill has definitely made me one. Also, I never used to get cramps during my period, but now I do. It made me break out like crazy, but it's starting to clear up. The only thing I can't complain about is the fact that my periods are very regular now. Cyred was not good for me, so I have switched."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Cyred birth control for a little over a month, and the largest side effect for me is acne. I usually never get acne, but now I do. Occasional mood swings and depression, but that might be just me. I take it at night, so I don’t feel nauseous during the day. I was only nauseous for the first week or two. I haven’t had any other side effects with it."

For Birth Control "Do not get me wrong. I LOVED this pill. Cyred was the only pill I’ve taken that didn’t give me side effects of making me depressed, retaining water, or making me gain an unhealthy amount of weight, etc. I was happy as a clam. The only thing that drove me nuts is any last bit of libido I had... GONE. Also, I had brown discharge coming out for two months. The only time I didn’t have brown discharge was during sex. It stained all my undies, even my cute ones. :( I’ve had to wear a tampon every day. I really wish things were different with this pill 'cause I loved it, just wish I had libido and healthy-looking discharge. :("

For Birth Control "Moody, depression, lethargic, weight gain, and overall more emotional. Lost my sex drive completely, and my depression has taken over my life. It’s awful, and I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. Take anything else. I have been on 7 different types of birth control, and this has been the second to worst, the worst being the Depo-Provera shot. I am getting off of it as quick as I can right now. The only good things about this medication are that it decreased my cramping and cleared up my face in the beginning. Please don’t take this. I felt awful for so long because I was recommended to “wait it out” for 3 months to “get used to it.” I was on it for a year and a half, and nothing has changed. Don’t do it!"
