"Overall, I really enjoy this pill. I have not gotten pregnant. I have not had abnormal mood swings or a change in sex drive. In fact this pill seemed to clear up my hormonal acne pretty well! The only problem I've had is an increase in appetite. But, controlling what I eat is in my control so I don't really care too much about this side effect."

"I started taking Cyred in January of 2016. The first two months I was on it were the pits. I had constant dry blood (brown spotting), mood swings, sore breasts and increased appetite. It felt like a forever period. Once those two months passed though my period regulated itself out and it would only last about 3 days at most. I would still get pretty mood swingy around that time but thats about it. My appetite sadly stayed at the more increased level but eating healthy options helps keep the weight down! It definitely does its job because its been over two years now and I'm still pregnancy free. I have started taking only active pills to skip my period and on the first try it seems to be working! This pill may work for some and may not work for others but just because of a few bad side affects don't stop it right away, you could be missing out on something good in the long run."

"My last BC caused me to have acne and while it did prevent pregnancy it made me extremely moody. I switched to cyred and for the first 2 weeks I was a little bloated but nothing major and it cleared my skin! I only get a random small zit or two around my period and occasional breast soreness but it definitely does the job and it prevents pregnancy! It hasn’t made me gain any incredible amounts of weight or made me irritable or moody so I won’t be switching anytime soon!"

"I had seen the comments before I started taking this birth control and I was instantly scared. The first week I experienced random headaches, but nothing too crazy. My boobs did grow significantly, but no other crazy weight gain. Also my face broke out slightly, not really noticeable."

"First few weeks I was bloated, had extreme cravings, breasts were sore and still are. I went up 3 cup sizes and gained about 5-10lbs. The only consistent issue I’ve had is nausea but it’s subsiding. I started Cyred about 7 months ago, took it for 3 months straight with NO SIDE EFFECTS and then I skipped about 3 months and went back on it which could be why I’m now experiencing these side effects. Since I started Cyred the second time I’ve only completed one months worth. I notice a change in texture in my skin though not large break outs (I don’t have acne ever). I’ve tried 4 different BC including this one, one also including the depo shot which I DO NOT recommend. But so far this OC is the only one that my body has adjusted to the weight gain and I’m starting to gain in more “flattering” places. I’m confident my experience with Cyred will get better as my body gets used to it. Nothing too severe as far as side effects."

"I've been on this prescription for a month. It is my first birth control. My period came anyway at its normal time and doesn't seem to be slowing down a week later. I feel an increased sex drive and I've been very moody (crying at nothing, getting unreasonably angry). Before my period came I felt extremely nauseous like I've never felt outside a hangover. It was awful. It's gone now but if that happens again I will stop taking it. My skin never broke out like it normally does before the period. One more thing: some of this could be attributed to me not taking them at the same exact time every day. I would do it within a 1 or 2 hour window."

"I have a couple side effects but I feel like it’s nothing you can’t handle. I get sore breasts for maybe 2-3 days. My period was 3 days but now it’s 4-5 days. I have headaches here and there. Sometimes I lose my appetite and feel nauseous but it only lasts 1-2 hours and then I can eat again. I’m fine. rather deal with this than deal with a kid lol"

"Initial first couple months weren't pleasant - it worsened my anxiety, I completely lost my sex drive, and I was breaking out like crazy. Being at college out of state I didn't have time to switch so I stayed on it. I've been on it a full 3 months now and all my symptoms disappeared. I guess it just took that long for my body to get used to it because now my anxiety is back to normal, my sex drive is back, and my skin is clear. This medication must just take time."

"I DO NOT recommend thus birth control to any woman. I’ve only been taking this brand for a few weeks now and within the first week I was experiencing migraines like never before. I would be writhing in pain because my stomach hurt so bad and always felt like I needed to go to the bathroom. I was dizzy all the time just walking and my eyes were sensitive to light. Upon waking I would be extremely confused and even stutter upon speaking and my hand eye coordination was off. I’ve never in my life had such an awful experience with birth control."

"I have not been on birth control for 10 years, and have used Cyred for 3 months now. The only side effects I experienced was tender breasts. They actually grew, which I’m not upset about. Worth the pain in my opinion. I had no preference in brand because I haven’t been on it in so long, I have 0 allergies, etc. Cyred worked well for me, I’m not pregnant! Yay!"

"HOLY ANXIETY AND MOOD SWINGS. I am on my 2nd pack and taking these pills has been something I didn't expect. The first two weeks are so awful for me. I know they say takes 3 months for body to adjust but I honestly don’t know if I can make it that long on these. They make me feel like I am going crazy. I freak out about anything and everything now. Sometimes I get really really sad. Other times I’m angry for no real reason. (This side effect only happened couple times. So wasn’t that bad and hasn’t really come back) I did not get the sore or tender breast or headaches they report so that is nice. I more so have nausea and the mood swings. The nausea didn’t seem too too bad this but the mood swings are still very real and the worst thing about this. I wake up Anxious, or one minute I’m happy, the next I’m anxious or sad and wanting to do nothing."

"this is the second month I’ve been on Cyred Eq and it’s been doing what it should be. My provider said it was okay for me to skip the placebo pills and skip my period. I didn’t bleed the whole first month - yeah!! Now, I’ve been bleeding for almost 3 weeks and it’s not heavy, but annoying and questionable. I have no other serious side effects besides the fact that I’m ALWAYS hungry. But I don’t mind, I'm a Taurus (major foodie) and have a great metabolism. My sex drive hasn’t changed and my skin hasn’t broken out any more than usual, so this pill has done some justice. I just hope the bleeding stops soon."

"I’ve been on Cyred for about a month now, I just finished the first pack. I started taking BC to avoid pregnancy and to regulate my period because I wouldn’t have it for months at a time. The first week my breast started to get tender, but nothing unbearable. I would get some cramps and constipation, but again nothing too bad. I did notice some weight gain and an increase in appetite. My breasts have noticeably grown, but I guess that’s a plus. I had clear skin before starting Cyred and I still have clear skin now. I had moments where I was more emotional and irritable than normal, but it occurred around the time I would start my period. Before Cyred, my heavy periods would last about 5-7 days, but now I would bleed heavily the first day and have a light period the following two days. I take the pill at 8 pm everyday (sometimes 1/2 an hour before/after) because I don’t usually wake up at the same time every morning but I am at least awake at 8 pm everyday."

"Moody, DEPRESSION, lethargic, WEIGHT GAIN, and overall more emotional. Lost my sex drive completely and my depression has taken over my life. It’s awful and I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. TAKE ANYTHING ELSE. I have been on 7 different types of birth control and this has been the second to worst, the worst being the depo provera shot. I am getting off of it as quick as I can right now. The only good things about this medication is that it decreased my cramping and cleared up my face in the beginning. Please don’t take this. I felt awful for so long because I was recommended to “wait it out” for 3 months to “get used to it”. I WAS ON IT FOR A YEAR AND A HALF AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Don’t do it!"

"So a lot of these reviews really scared me, but this pill works great for me. It’s easy to take because it’s small and I haven’t had any crazy mood swings, it’s been a little strange sometimes, and I might have gained a little weight but that’s all. If you’ve been prescribed this I would say just go with it."

"I haven't had a problem with this BC! The first month taking it I had some more headaches than usual, but nothing too terrible. It lightened my periods (which used to be AWFUL) and prevents pregnancy. All in all, I recommend trying it!"

"WORST BIRTH CONTROL EVER!!!! Takes away your sex drive COMPLETELY and even when you stop taking it, sex drive is still off. I read a review about a girl who had this symptom for years after stopping. I HOPE that isn’t my case. It’s been 4 months since I've stopped taking this and STILL dealing with it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! If it were up to me, Cyred wouldn’t even be sold anymore."

"I have been on it for over a month and the only side effects I have had is that my breasts were sore for a week or two but it went away , I got very anxious more than usual , lost my sex drive and won't have sex unless he is basically begging for it. I was very irritable. But it also helped a lot with my acne and I'm not pregnant so it does the job I guess."

"This is the worst birth control pill I really recommend not even trying it. The first week was okay no side effects but after the second week I got the worst anxiety and I’ve never had anxiety in my life. I was worried I was gonna die with any little thing. I kept going to the doctor thinking I had a blood clot and chest pain when I later realized that it was the pill giving me so much anxiety. I stopped taking it and after 3 months I’m barely getting back to normal really don’t recommend it to anyone I would rather be pregnant than ever take this birth control again."

"This medicine has been in my life for 4 months and in those 4 months I’ve had the worst decrease in libido. Sex has become undesirable and it’s impossible to get turned on not only that I’ve been nauseous and moody I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone"

"After 3 days of starting this new birth control, I was feeling nauseous. This lasted for a few days. Also, I've been bleeding for almost 3 weeks now. It's not heavy, but its tiresome and getting costly to keep buying panty liners all the time."

"I have been taking this birth control for four months now. The first was the worst, I was irritable, frequently sad, lethargic and just overall moody. It cleared up my face and didn't change much in the way of flow on my period but, did make them shorter. My sex drive has also decreased as well as my eating habits. I find myself less hungry but, my breasts have grown in size. Now four months later I've been spotting non-stop for the past two weeks and my face is breaking out in acne that rests under the skin. Going to change my prescription soon but, for awhile it was definitely tolerable."

"This pill is great for preventing pregnancy , but not so great on your body, I’ve been taking this pill for about 2 months and I’ve experienced in my first month such awful sadness and depression and anxiety. I would have panic attacks at times I never would before because it all came to much too handle , but after a month they died down and that wasn’t a problem anymore , but now I am about to start my 3rd pack and I’m honestly about to just get condoms and wait to get a new prescription, cause I’ve had my period like 3 times this month and yeah I know you’re thinking oh you could just be pregnant well I’ve been to doctors and token test and no!!! Just this BC!!! May be the one for y’all but the worst kind I’ve ever tried for me !"

"I've been on this birth control since September, and I haven't noticed too many side effects. I would get maybe a couple zits a month before I started this, and it's about the same now, if a little better. I haven't gotten any increases in appetite, or decreases in libido. One alarming (and EXPENSIVE) side effect I've noticed is that I've been hardcore spotting for the past almost 4 weeks. If it doesn't stop soon, I'll have to go in and switch to something else."

"I started taking this pill about a year ago and it's been complete hell since I started. The first week and half, I'm unbearable nauseous and hardly have an appetite. At first I thought these symptoms would subside, but they never did. The next week and half, I'm cursed with almost extreme PMS symptoms. Ridiculous bloating, awful acne, breast pain; you name it. My periods last an entire week and I get debilitating cramps, so bad to where they make me sick the first few days. I tried to wait it out the year but it's only gotten worse. This birth control has given me the worst anxiety, migraines, heart palpitations, and I'm dizzy constantly. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even my worst enemies. Please be cautious when using this."
