For Seizures "I think cenobamate has brought down the level of my seizures (I'm only having absence seizures now). Yet the side effects are annoying. I have been awake for 2 hours with a twitching/spasming foot. I get the whole dizzy, drowsy, and tiredness side effects, which I'm not happy with but am trying to live through it."

Cenobamate for Seizures "I have a brain tumor and experience simple focal seizures in my left foot/leg. Prior to medication, I was experiencing a seizure every other day. When I started taking Xcopri, I was taking Keppra and Vimpat. The main symptom that I have experienced with Xcopri is debilitating dizziness for about an hour after taking my daily dose in the AM (50 mg). I eat a large meal to mitigate the effects, but the dizziness is so bad that I cannot safely stand, even with a cane. The effectiveness of controlling my seizures is worth it, but that is the side effect that is most clear to me. I have to schedule my day around this side effect."

Cenobamate for Seizures "Made my already bad memory worse, was extremely dizzy, and it started giving me horrible rage and anger issues. Talked with a doctor, lowered the dosage, took B6 to help with the other side effects. Got the dosage right and it worked wonders in stopping the seizure onset."

For Seizures "I started taking cenobamate last August, starting slowly until maximum dosage 200 mg. I also have autism. I started initially with balance issues, though my seizures were getting under control. But later on, I started to get very aggressive and have nightmares and feel really tired. Things haven't improved much, though I have reduced the medication to 125 mg, but my life has changed for the worse."

Cenobamate for Seizures "Let me start by saying: ask your doctor to be honest about side effects and then list the pros versus the cons. My experience has been terrible, side effects that include nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, headaches, double vision, and severe dizziness. Add the fact that certain migraine medicines (Qulipta, Nurtec) interact with Xcopri was the deal breaker, but I tried to push through the first 3 weeks and failed. I was unable to do so because the side effects weren't worth adjunctive therapy. New isn't always the best."

Cenobamate for Seizures "Seizures are great, but lots of side effects: slurred speech, off balance when I walk, constipation, weight gain, and tiredness. And these are some that I can think of."

Cenobamate for Seizures "Fantastic! The only drug that has worked for me. It's my 5th drug. I'm taking it with Lacosamide. Side effects are dizzy and sleepy, but I'll take it."

For Seizures "I am a UK patient. Currently titrating up from 12.5 mg to 200 mg daily of cenobamate (Ontozry) - a three-month program. Also on 1200 mg eliscarbazepine (Zebinix) daily, and downward titrating from 175 mg lamotrigine to 100 mg twice daily (3 months). Awful, awful daily memory problems, dizziness, somnolence, indescribable lethargy. My hair has thinned. Focal seizures the first two weeks of introducing cenobamate and withdrawing from lamotrigine. Very frightening. These have settled. I feel safer on cenobamate than I have in years, but the side effects are adversely affecting my work and personal life. Lots of adjusting. Will keep updating."
