For Chlamydia Infection "So my boyfriend and I went to get checked a week from today, and today we called to get back our results, and we both found out we had chlamydia. Either one of us could've given it to each other because we've only been dating 9 months, and this is our first time getting checked. They prescribed the little pink pills, 4 of them, and me thinking I was going to be fine. Two hours later, I find myself sitting on the toilet with massive pains and extreme diarrhea while my boyfriend just has gas. Ugh, I'm guessing these pills are working, so please, ladies, if you're going to get into a relationship, the best thing to do is get checked before any funny business or wrap it! For Chlamydia Infection "I got diagnosed for chlamydia, and the next day went and had treatment. If you are scared about taking them because the side effects, don’t worry about it. I ate some food and then took them about 2 hours later. I had four 250mg tablets all in one go, and it's the 4th day now, and I’m absolutely fine. I have had no side effects, no stomach pain, no vomiting. The only thing is I can’t stop farting for some reason! I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but if it does, that’s the least that has happened to me, lol."

For Chlamydia Infection "So hubby and I tested positive for chlamydia, kicking myself because I think we have both had it asymptomatically for at least half a year, him longer. Chlamydia is a silent, sneaky bastard! Anyway, we got prescribed the two-pill method to take at once. We had just eaten breakfast, him an omelet and I oatmeal. After taking it, I had a banana, some nuts, and later on dinner. I found I randomly had some sharp stomach pains that lasted about 30 minutes, but they were bearable. I've been gassy all day, which is annoying, but again, not the worst thing ever. Hubby hasn't been spared. He's been in and out of the bathroom all day! But he's had a sensitive stomach the past two weeks as it is, so it's hard to say what affected what."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed azithromycin for chlamydia. I was scared to take the medication after reading the reviews. I was prescribed two 500 mg to take in one day. I took it yesterday, the first pill at about 8 am after I ate breakfast (eggs). I’m not sure about everyone else’s experience, but the only thing I felt was a little nausea, gas, and headaches. (I hope I took it correctly.) I took the 2nd pill at about 8 pm, then I only felt tired. Instantly, no pain, I just wanted to sleep. I go back to the doctor January 7. I pray it’s cleared, Lord knows I’ll never do this again!"

Azithromycin for Chlamydia Infection "This is my first time getting Chlamydia. I can honestly say I cried so much because I didn’t know how I got it. My boyfriend had gotten tested 2 weeks before we had intercourse, and I got tested right after him and came up with nothing. He didn’t have any symptoms of it, and I didn’t either. I only had BV, and I don’t know, maybe that made me prone to get Chlamydia. But let me get to the point. With my anxiety and phobia of pills, it took me 3-4 days to drink the pills because I was scared of taking the 4 pills (1000 mg) all together. Reading these reviews of how people reacted made me anxious, but I reacted fine for now as I’m writing this sitting on the toilet. Yes, it does give you some stomach aches here and there. They were strong at first until I fell asleep around 1 AM, and it made me feel very gassy and nauseous. I hate it. But keep yourself hydrated at all times and take it before bed!! Don’t be scared to take it. Hopefully, I get cured from this, and it never comes back!"

For Bacterial Infection "I’m back to share another experience because I had to take this medication again and was terrified because of my first time taking it. This time was pleasantly different. I took two 500 mg tablets right after eating dinner, and then took a Zofran right after (definitely recommend asking for Zofran with this medication, as I believe that’s what saved me), but the only side effects I had this time were mild nausea and gas after about 2 hours that only lasted 30 min or so."

For Chlamydia Infection "So, I took a chlamydia test, thinking nothing of it because I’d never had unprotected sex and I thought the people I’d slept with were tested and had no STDs. Turns out someone wasn’t, and you can get chlamydia from oral and just genitals touching, so please be super careful with having safe sex. A condom can’t always protect you, so just make sure your partners are all checked between EACH partner! I took 4 white pills and was so nervous, but had no side effects apart from a little diarrhea about 7 hours later. However, my partner and I had sex with a condom before the 7 days you are supposed to wait were up (stupid, I know) and it didn’t stay on 100%, so instead of going back to the doctors, doing a test, and waiting to see my doctor and get a prescription, which would take about 2/3 weeks in all, I decided to order some from a high-street pharmacy, which was way more expensive but I picked them up in a few hours. (If you’re in the UK, it's about £8 at the doctors if you’re over 18, at a high-street pharmacy like Superdrug, it's £27-ish.) These are two blue pills and I took them 9 hours ago. Some mild stomach pains and gas, but that might just have been nerves and no vomiting or diarrhea so far. Make sure you eat before and drink water. Basically, don’t be afraid to take them because not everyone gets awful side effects, and make sure you and your partner are up to date with checks before having sex! Oh, and wait at least a week, but preferably two, before having sex again, even with protection, otherwise, it could be painful and costly! Good luck!"

For Chlamydia Infection "First time I took this, I had bad cramps from not eating enough and drinking water. I mistakenly took one a day instead of the two once daily, so when I got a refill, I ate a lot of food before and after taking the medicine, plus three bottles of water, and I only had bad gas and diarrhea. No cramps yet. So I’m happy as long as my stomach doesn’t end up feeling like knots!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Learned I was positive for Chlamydia. 2 weeks later, I received treatment for it. 4 Azithromycin 250 mg pills to take at once. I was extremely nervous taking this medicine because I always freak myself out by reading side effects. I am also 5'6, 105 lbs, so I thought the 1000 g dosage was going to be a bit much for me to handle all at once. Before taking the pills, I made sure I ate a full breakfast, then waited 2 hours to take all 4 pills, and then ate again an hour later, drinking lots of water. A few hours into the meds, I experienced stomach cramps and a little gas, which lasted a few hours and went away. I'm on day 3 now, and the only side effect I've been experiencing up until now is indigestion...thank goodness! Hopefully, this is all I have to deal with. It can be uncomfortable, but ginger ale has helped a lot. Because I'm not experiencing a lot of the side effects, it makes me worry about the effectiveness of the meds, but everyone's body is different. I go back to retest next week."

For Chlamydia Infection "Found out I had chlamydia from a yearly pap. I was very shocked because I had no symptoms. My doctor prescribed me one dose of 250 mg. I took it with a meal. It’s been about 5 hours. I had one BM, but I wouldn’t say it was diarrhea. I feel really nauseous as I type, so I’m just trying to take it easy. I feel a lot of weird gurgling, and I’m a little gassy. I’m hoping this will all be worth it once the infection is cleared. And I will never be this irresponsible again!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 4 pills, each 250 mg at around 6:30 pm, one after the other at the doctor's office. It’s now 10:37 pm. I’ve felt a little out of it, a little gassy. Overall, not too bad, but I think I’m doing so well because I took them on a full stomach, I also ate some leftover pasta a while ago. The only side effect I got from chlamydia was frequent urination, so I was shocked to hear that I had it. So far, so good, hoping to stay that way."

For Bacterial Infection "Got prescribed azithromycin for a tooth infection after Augmentin stopped working. I was so terrified to take it after reading all those reviews, but fortunately, my experience has been okay so far. Took my first 500 mg single dose yesterday after breakfast, didn't get any side effects except for diarrhea one time. Took my second dose today and I am okay! Mostly, I'm gassy and my intestines are a bit bubbly, but nothing that's overly bothersome. My infection is starting to clear up too after two weeks of pain. Don't be afraid to take your medication, see how you react to it, it's worth it to feel better!"

For Gonococcal Infection, Uncomplicated "I took the azithromycin tablets 5 hours ago. I've been to the toilet 3 times and have some stomach cramps. I don't feel sick. Just gassy. I wouldn't say I'm in a lot of pain, I have some cramps but feel fine in myself (if a little more tired)... but nothing major. I ate about 2/3 hours beforehand. Had a nap about an hour afterward and woke up like this. I've eaten some peanut butter and bread, had some water, and hoping it settles now. 5 hours in and I'm presuming/hoping this will be my only side effect. If it removes the infection, I'm 100% fine with a few side effects."

I went to get checked, and I came out positive for chlamydia. For Chlamydia Infection "My doctor told me I had chlamydia, so she wrote me a prescription for 2 tablets of azithromycin (500 mg). I took it earlier this morning since I’m nothing but 110 pounds. The side effects hit my little butt as soon as I swallowed my second pill. I was nervous, my hands started shaking and then boom! My stomach started to hurt, I had gas and not the type of gas you let out freely. Oh my God, I rushed to the toilet so fast. I spent most of my morning with diarrhea, felt nauseous as if I had to throw up, but I didn’t eat anything, so I felt very weak and my stomach kept gurgling. I peed a lot, even though this is day 1 and she only gave me 2 pills, I’m starting to feel better and I hope by next week I’m cured of this STD."

For Sinusitis "First time I've been prescribed azithromycin for my sinus infection, and it completely sucks for it compared to my typical amoxicillin. Three days in on the Z-Pak and nothing, still have a fever, no change in sinus pressure, and now a splitting headache with a large amount of gas. At least with amoxicillin by the third day, I would feel better, this, nothing. I'll continue treatment just to see, but highly doubt it."
