For Chlamydia Infection "OK, had to write a review after seeing so many horror stories. My side effects were minimal, about an hour and a half after taking the 4 tablets at once, as prescribed, my stomach hurt and I felt only a little sick. I laid in bed and just rode it out by napping. When I woke up, I had one minor episode of diarrhea, and then, done. It was definitely nothing like some of the bad experiences I've read on here. Many folks review because they had a bad experience, and folks who have no side effects tend to not care enough to report their non-eventful experience. Keep that in mind if you're nervous! Definitely worth the 30 minutes of a little stomach ache to make yourself healthy. Just eat beforehand and after, you will be solid. It was no big deal."

For Chlamydia Infection "This is my first time having chlamydia and my last time. Went to the clinic, took the medicine around 3:50 pm. Last ate at 1 pm, and I started work at 5 pm. I was fine until I drank soda at work, and it's been hell since then. I'm gassy, having streaks of stomach pains, diarrhea, and trying to not regurgitate. Unprotected sex is not worth it. No one is worth it."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was reading the reviews for this medication 30 minutes after I had ingested it. I can't deny, I was a little bit worried while reading the side effects, especially because I took it with only having eaten two cookies and a banana. Surprisingly, I had not a single side effect. I was not throwing up, nor did I have diarrhea or an upset stomach. I was actually hungry. I ate peacefully and happily ate Chinese food and cheesecake without a single issue. I will say I noticed an increased amount of discharge, not yellow like I was having before, but it was kind of white/clear thick. My guess is my vagina is cleansing itself and clearing out everything inside. I would highly recommend this, it's quick, easy, and simple."

For Chlamydia Infection "Had my first ever one-night stand and 2 days later, tested positive for chlamydia. My first encounter with an STD at 31! I felt immediately guilty. Lesson learned, folks! Anyways, I picked up my script of 2 tablets, 500 mg each of azithromycin around 5 pm. Instructions read: take both tablets at once. No warning labels or anything. So I popped both in the parking lot of the pharmacy, chugged about 16 oz of water with it. I skipped supper and headed straight to my kickball game and played a double header. I had no side effects until about 7 hours later: mild diarrhea. Ate a normal meal at home. Went to bed. Woke up fine. No problems days after either. Hope this helps everyone against the negative comments!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 2 pills of 500 mg last Sunday. It’s now one week and three days later, and I still feel symptoms, mostly itching that’s driving me crazy. I hope this medicine works soon. Overall, side effects were not too bad, just a loose stool and a little bit of stomach cramps."

Azithromycin for Bacterial Infection "I love the Z-Pak! I am allergic to most every antibiotic out there, and so this is my go-to. I have three infections right now: double ear, sinus, and lung. I felt terrible two days ago, and now I am awesome. I am having the poops, and when I take it on an empty stomach, it hurts, but a bit of food and I am fine as wine. I have two days left of a five-day course, and I feel awesome. I love this antibiotic. Plus for me, as soon as I am done with it, I poop normally again."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I found out Friday that I had chlamydia, I was prescribed two pills (500 mg each) of azithromycin. I didn't eat all day, so I took them, then had a slice of pizza. Totally bad idea. About 20 minutes later, I felt dizzy, lightheaded, and ended up puking everything. Today is now Monday, I had the prescription refilled, ate a meal first, then took the two pills. Felt fine for about two hours, then suddenly my stomach started hurting. I was so afraid I was going to end up pining, so I forced myself to eat bread. Two and a half hours later, I had to run to the bathroom, ended up having diarrhea but felt so much better after. My stomach doesn't hurt anymore! So gross, I know! Just make sure to take these while at home!"

For Bronchitis "I took Zithromax for 5 days, 250 mg. Knocked out a horrible case of coughing and bronchitis by the time I was done, but have been experiencing diarrhea since I've been off it for the past week. I hope this ceases soon. I did not have the diarrhea while taking it, but I was also taking a cough syrup with codeine, and as I understand it, codeine causes constipation of sorts, so maybe that's why the diarrhea started after I stopped taking the cough syrup. No horrible coughing anymore or chest distress... just lower tract for now."

For Chlamydia Infection "Taking this azithromycin medication is no joke. My advice is to make sure you eat something before taking it. I experienced loose stools and stomach aches, but it subsided with time into the morning. I’ll forever have more respect for using condoms. Good luck with taking the medication."

For Sinusitis "I have taken this medicine many, many times before, and it has always worked with no problems. I have had serious stomach issues this time around... slightly since day one. Tonight is day 4, and I just experienced severe abdominal cramping and pain... loose stools (TMI)... so severe I thought I would have to go to the ER. It started about 10 minutes after taking the pill, not on an empty stomach, I ate about 1 hour prior. Maybe just a freak thing, but very scary. A few hours went by, and I'm starting to feel better... not sure if I will take the last pill tomorrow."

For Chlamydia Infection "After going about a year with symptoms, I decided to get tested. I was diagnosed with chlamydia. I had a sense of relief knowing it was something easily treatable but worried because I read that if it's not treated, it can prevent fertility (I guess I will find out when I try and get pregnant. I am only 20, and kids are nowhere near my future.) I took two 500 mg tablets of azithromycin after eating (you can take it with or without food). I began having hot flashes and stomach pain within 30 minutes. It was nothing too serious. A few minutes later, the stomach pain got worse. I knew it was time to hit the restroom. I had diarrhea, it went down pretty easy. I feel a lot better now, just a bit dizzy. I recommend taking it in the comfort of your home."

For Sinusitis "The first day it caused me very bad nausea. However, I think it's because I had to take 2 pills on the first day per the instructions. On the second day, I had a bit of diarrhea, but the nausea went away. I learned that I had to eat a lot to get my stomach full in order not to feel the nausea. Overall, this medicine worked in clearing up my sinus infection. I feel that on the third day the medicine did its job, and I started showing much improvement. (My fever had gone away after the first dose of medicine.)"

For Chlamydia Infection "I want to point out that I'm 20, 5'4" and 125 lbs, so effects will likely vary. I waited till bedtime to take the (2) 500 mg pills because of the listed side effects. Immediately after, I felt dizziness and a tad queasy. I slept way longer than usual, so I assume the medicine was doing its job. Typically, I'm up by 6:30-7, but I didn't get up till almost 10. I had diarrhea that morning. The sluggish, drowsy feeling lasted the entire day, along with a slight headache. I felt an awful pain in my abdomen on my way to class too, but that went away after about an hour. That's pretty much it, my partner took the same medicine that had been prescribed by his doctor and didn't experience any of this. I'm just super glad that it's treatable."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took two of the 500 mg pills. I felt fine and took them with food. Two hours later, I was extremely nauseous and dizzy and had diarrhea. I then felt fine, then another hour later, I got extreme chills and was shaking and had a fever. The experience with this medicine sucked, so I hope it's all cleared up, and I am always using condoms now :/"

For Chlamydia Infection "I started getting symptoms late last night, so I went to the doctor's this morning, and I was given a shot of Rocephin and two tablets of azithromycin. Once I took the tablet, I was actually feeling a little bit fine, only had a small stomach ache, and then some diarrhea, but that passed quickly. But four hours later, an hour after I had eaten a meal, I just started to experience the worst abdominal pain and diarrhea imaginable! It literally felt as if my insides were being turned inside out! It was the absolutely worst, but I am better now, the infection seems to be gone, and I am never having unprotected sex again until I get married!"

For Bronchitis "Had bronchitis and mild asthma with a cold for a week, and the doctor immediately prescribed me this med when I told her that my chest started to hurt every time I coughed. After a day of a strong dose, I felt much better, and I'm no longer coughing up yellow phlegm. However, the side effects after 3 days are kicking in. My body feels weak, and I have mild diarrhea. It's a strong, effective med, and it works if you take it immediately before it could get worse, as for the side effects, they are bearable and not that bad."

Azithromycin for Pneumonia "Started 5-day dose pack on 1/17/18 at 8:30 pm. I had been running a fever for 6 days by the 17th. I finished my pack the evening of the 21st. I am still spitting out green every 20 minutes or so when awake, but no fever today. I had diarrhea the first evening only. The last evening dose, I noticed a tiny blister-like rash about the size of kosher salt on my chest and back. I still have them today, the 23rd, and am still sick."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was scared as anything to take it because of the reviews, but I went head-on and took it at 8:00 pm after eating. I waited about 10 mins and dozed off, then woke up, went to work at 10 pm - still didn’t feel anything, no cramps, no diarrhea or nothing .... I just woke up at 1:00 am and I still feel nothing. I felt like I took ibuprofen ... TAKE IT AFTER EATING CLOSE TO BEDTIME, YOU'LL SLEEP RIGHT THROUGH IT ..."

For Chlamydia Infection "18, first gyno visit, and I tested positive for chlamydia, BV, and a yeast infection. How embarrassing. For chlamydia, doc prescribed 1 dose of a 1000 mg pill of azithro. I had zero side effects. I got retested 2 months later and results came back still positive even though I abstained from sex. Treatment must not have worked :( this time around I was prescribed two 500 mg azithro pills. Take these pills at night before bed. The side effects only lasted 2 hours max. If you feel nauseous, take deep breaths and lay on your left side. I have no advice for diarrhea lol I'm still running to the bathroom. Fingers crossed it works this time."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed 2 azithromycin pills to cure my chlamydia. I took the two pills together, followed by water, and at least 15 mins later, I started to feel nauseous. So I laid down, however, I felt like that was only making it worse. So I sat up, the nausea went away, but then I started to get stomach cramps through the lower part of my stomach. I’m now having diarrhea and a slight headache. I’m going to continue staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water, hopefully, it’ll help. I’m just glad I was able to get the pills to get this over with. Considering everything, I don’t mind the side effects as long as I’m cured."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I took the 4 pink pills at the clinic, was feeling great that I was getting rid of this infection. 1 hour later, I had eaten a sandwich, like 30 mins later, man, did I feel nauseous, as if I had eaten something really greasy. I felt it in my throat, it wasn't like I had to throw up, but I had the sensation. I didn't want to throw up, 'cause hey, I already took these pills, don't wanna ruin the effect. Then I got the sensation I had to poo bad. I got diarrhea. Let's just hope these pills work!!! Side effects caught me off guard, 'cause this is my first time experiencing this. But hope my review helps others going through the same!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I usually don't do reviews on medication, but I felt the need to write a review because of all the horrible experiences people say they had. After Googling about azithromycin, I was so scared to take it. I have a phobia of vomiting, so reading about how almost every person who wrote a review claimed they threw up made me so nervous to the point of tears. To reassure everyone who has the same phobia as me or is concerned, I felt no nausea whatsoever. I took the liquid azithromycin at 2:00 am after a small meal last night. I will admit about an hour after, I got minor stomach cramps that subsided after eating a few saltine crackers. That was the only side effect I experienced: no diarrhea, no nausea, no 'labor pains.'"

For Bacterial Infection "Took all 4 pills for vaginal discharge, no STDs. I had just eaten dinner, so I took the pills. Slight nausea for an hour or 2, so I took some anti-nausea medication. By bedtime, super nauseous and had stomach pains. I took 2 more anti-nausea pills throughout the night as I couldn't sleep for waking up every 5 minutes feeling like I needed to vomit. Then at around 4 am, all the pills kicked in and the nausea went away. Now 5 days later, I got diarrhea all day. However, it did clear up the vaginal discharge, though."

For Chlamydia Infection "Found out at my 6-month checkup that I had chlamydia, asked for the 4-pills-at-once deal. This is my first and ONLY time I will ever contract this again, so I was very eager to get this over with. I was prescribed 4 pills of 250 mg azithromycin, took them around 2:00 pm, and around 5:00 pm, I started experiencing diarrhea to the max. Haven't gotten off the toilet since, and it's now 6:30 pm, but I'm confident it will go away and just thankful I no longer have chlamydia."

For Sinusitis "Every fall going into winter, I get a bad sinus infection and it starts in my chest. Zithromax is the only thing that works. It started working after the first dose of 2 pills on the first day. Mild diarrhea on the first day. Augmentin has worse side effects for me and does not work as well, causing nausea and stomach cramps. I can handle the mild side effect of Zithromax because the end result is feeling better and fast."
