Amphetamine "I’ve tried almost every single combo of ADHD meds imaginable from Ritalin to Dexedrine ER to Mydayis to Guanfacine to Qelbree. My goodness, I can’t even list them all. I have ADHD-PI possibly SCT. I have problems using my brain to think like feel so lazy, no motivation. Dexedrine ER makes me sit still, got rid of my anxiety but did not help with motivation to do stuff I didn’t want to do. I would just feel amped and happy and focus on procrastination. When I take more I get chest pains. Adderall XR/Mydayis made me tweaky and overfocused. I could no longer multitask. Evekeo with 50/50 dextro and levo combo was perfect for focus and motivation! It feels so smooth! No tweakiness for some reason like Adderall. Less focus but more motivation. The only problem is I experience a crash after 3 hours. I can't get timing of the pill right. They need to make an XR of this stuff!"

Amphetamine "15.0, then increased to 17.5 (I believe that’s the correct dosage, I know it’s 15 to 17)... Anyway, didn’t know I was so ADHD until I went off of it. ROCKY to transition onto the med—extremely emotional, but my God, I had an issue filling the script one day. I didn’t realize how inefficient I was before. I kept losing everything, it was so bad. Amphetamine "I never knew I had ADD until my daughter was diagnosed. During her interview, I realized I had all the same symptoms. I tried the 3.1 mg for three days and felt a lot better. I also noticed I slept really well. I have had insomnia my entire life, and for the last 6 years, I have been seeing a sleep specialist/researcher. We have tried so many different sleep meds, and my primary had me on Xanax for a couple of years. Nothing truly worked until I found this med. Now I take 6.3 mg, feel great all day with no side effects, and the best thing is I sleep with no aids and I don't take Xanax anymore. I feel great, and my sleep specialist was able to get me three years, yup that’s right, three years for free!! I have two insurances and neither was going to pay!!"

Amphetamine "I was put on this drug, and today was my first day. I appreciate these reviews and probably should wait before I review. I've been on Adderall XR 20 and one Adderall quick release 20 daily for the past two years. Before this, the dose was higher, but then I turned 50, so... I'm not anxious, and don't have the butterflies in my stomach. I am good so far and really hope those reports about messing up sleep don't happen to me."

Amphetamine "Disappointing, oh so disappointing. Used to be on Adderall XR and loved it. When the doctor told me I could not go up on the dosage anymore, I had to switch to Adzenys. Starts great at first, but after the second month, I started feeling very lethargic the next day. Then I started to oversleep for work. Started with 30 minutes, and then it jumped to 2 hours. He had to prescribe me another medicine with Adzenys for it to stop the lethargic response, which was Qelbree. So I take that at night. The Adzenys works, again, but it makes me more tired, and I don't feel like I am focusing on my priorities, but I focus on more fun things about me, and only things that I feel like doing."

Amphetamine "I've been on Adderall since 2004, and then there was the current shortage, which doesn't seem to be ending soon. Normally, I just take 1 20 mg of Adderall a day, but thanks to the shortage, my doctor prescribed me Adzenys XR-ODT as an alternative. I used to just have a $10 copay, and I recently paid $35, which I honestly don't care about. Maybe it's just me, but for someone that's hardened to Adderall over the years, Adzenys XR-ODT is just a placebo and a horrendous substitute, not to mention overpriced. I've been on it for a week now and feel absolutely nothing."

Amphetamine "I started taking Adzenys about a week ago, and so far, it hasn't been doing much for me besides me having side effects. I have diarrhea, and my heart rate increases/feels like it's beating harder. I'm worried about my heart because I have had heart problems in the past. I also feel like I'm not fully there, like I'm kind of in a daze/slow thinking. Also, last night I woke up with bad anxiety, and then today I feel like I want to cry all the time. I don't know if the anxiety/crying are side effects, but this is not how I usually act. I am going to take it for another week or so and only take half a pill to see if some of the side effects hopefully go away. I really want Adzenys to work because it is affordable. If not, I'll probably have to go back to using Vyvanse and just deal with the side effects."

Amphetamine "I was on Vyvanse 70 mg and switched to Adzenys because I felt the Vyvanse was not working as well. I take 18.8 mg and feel this medication makes me tired and does zero for my ADHD. I am 51 years old and found out 18.8 is for children, that 12 mg is the highest adults should be prescribed, so I will talk to my doctor, but Vyvanse worked much better."

Amphetamine "Evekeo is amazing! I've been on it for the past 8 years-I was one of the first people to do the trials before it became available. After trying nearly every type of ADHD medication, Evekeo is my favorite. It uplifts my mood more than Adderall, doesn't make me feel overly twitchy like Adderall does, and doesn't give me any anxiety like Vyvanse or Ritalin did. The only downside is sometimes I get chest pain; but I'm not sure if it's entirely related. All amphetamines can age your internal organs faster than people who don't take them, so keep that in mind."

Amphetamine "This medication works so well for me and my family. Easy to take, easy to transport, and little to no side effects. A little dry mouth initially, but after a week or so, that cleared up. For only $25, it can't be beat."

Amphetamine "Evekeo made me feel like I had the flu. I felt like I had stayed up until 5 a.m. drinking tequila. I had had no alcohol at all. My muscles ached, I was exhausted, I felt like I was going to puke, and I could barely move. I went back to Vyvanse after 2 days. It ends too early for me, but doesn't make me miserable."

Amphetamine "I had been off of medication for a while, recently went to a doctor for ADHD to get meds again -- was given a script for Adzenys XR-ODT. I have had experiences with Adderall in the past while sampling medication with my previous doctor and found success. "Elite, aka Lannett, has the worst IR generic Adderall I have ever had the misfortune of taking. It almost seems like they’ve forgotten to add the active ingredient. The medication has no medicinal taste to it. Someone needs to audit this company, their processes, and whatever lab they use to test for potency."

Amphetamine "I've been on ADHD medication for a very long time. My body had built a pretty strong tolerance to stimulants. I combine normally IR Adderall, Vyvanse, and XR Adderall, and now I combine Zenzedi (great, btw), IR Adderall, and this medication, and the only thing I noticed is no increase in focus at all, but some weird increase in insomnia, which is unusual because it's not like an anxiety insomnia, but a strange almost increased ADHD insomnia I had growing up. Normally, after taking my ADHD medications, I can sleep without issue, but this one causes me to just stay awake without jitters, focus, anxiety, or anything. I don't care for it."

Amphetamine "I was prescribed this after my pharmacy was out of Adderall. Well, I felt so spaced out and just stuck. I literally couldn’t get one thing done. Couldn’t even hold a conversation! After a couple of hours, the feeling subsided, but because it was an extended release, a few hours later I felt the same. Only took it for about seven days. I have a pretty busy job, so there was no way I could remain in that state of mind. Awful. Waiting for the next appointment for a different prescription. Hopefully back to Adderall."

Amphetamine "My son's doctor gave him this to try. It's pretty much the same as Adderall. I didn't see a big difference in his behavior compared to generic Adderall. There's not much point in paying a premium price (no generic) for the same effectiveness as his usual med."

Amphetamine "My 9-year-old has been struggling with staying focused at school. I gave him a very small dose of Dyanavel XR, and it had no effect on his focus. I increased the dose to 3.5 ml, and I received a message from his teacher informing me that he had a great day at school. He finished all work in class on time, raised his hand to answer questions, and participated in class discussions. I cried happy tears. He has only been taking it for a few days, but I can't wait to see what he does for the rest of the school year. He did say that he wasn't very hungry at lunch, so it may possibly affect his appetite."

Amphetamine "I've had ADHD since childhood. When I got to high school, it became unmanageable. I went on a low dose of Adderall. When I turned 18, I stopped going to the doctor. When I started working, my ADHD disrupted my work, so I went to a psychiatrist and was prescribed Adzenys. Another reviewer described it as an 'otherworldly feeling,' which sounds about right. After about 6 months on the medication, I fell into a psychotic episode. I was taken off Adzenys. The psychosis subsided after a couple of days. It was determined that the psychosis was a side effect of Adzenys and not a symptom of a mental health condition. Now I'm not allowed to take any amphetamine medications (besides Strattera, which doesn't work). Adderall worked for me for years with no side effects, but it just so happened that my new psychiatrist prescribed Adzenys as ADHD medicine for all patients. This medication ruined my treatment of ADHD for life and has given me a poor prognosis for the future."

Amphetamine "Okay, so I started taking this medicine after switching around meds since I was about 7, but this medicine is by far the worst. When I forget to take it in the morning, I suffer and have terrible tiredness. I have no energy. It’s especially bad since I’m a lifeguard and have to be alert. I wouldn’t recommend taking it. You could go to bed at regular hours and still wake up with no energy at all. Don’t get it twisted, the medicine was great at first, but as time has progressed, I notice more and more side effects. The most prominent one is having a lack of energy during the day."

Amphetamine "My child was just recently diagnosed with ADHD, and first we tried Adderall. It seemed to just make him tired, but it helped a little bit, but not enough. So then we tried Dyanavel - this stuff turns my kid into a possessed little... (mmm, what word would be good here? He definitely wasn't nice!). It started off very good. He was listening, and everything was going well, then about 4 hours after he took it, he got in a little trouble for not closing a door. It was just a simple 'Hey buddy, come close this door...' and he FLIPPED! He looked at me like he was going to stab me in my sleep and started throwing a little baby tantrum. And ever since then, he acts like this every time he gets in trouble. He whines and throws a huge tantrum. He is 7 years old and does not do this without his meds. I know it's different for everyone, but from my experience, if your child has ADHD and has trouble focusing and listening like mine does, I do not recommend this medicine. We will be trying something else."

Amphetamine "This is for my 4.5-year-old boy. He started after awful side effects coming down from Quillivant. Those issues were better than this med. On Dyanavel, he calmed down for the first couple of hours and then seemed to have little control of his body and words. Extremely difficult, defiant. Not his usual self at all. Going to try something else. I, too, was a mom against meds, but until you have a child with these challenges, you are willing to try anything for a “normal” life."

"I am on Dexamphetamine, got diagnosed with ADHD only at age 40. I self-medicated with alcohol for 20 years and was on 5 mood stabilizers. I feel like a reborn person, detoxed of alcohol and all meds, replaced it all with Dexies, and WOW, I am alive! It took me 4 months to get used to them. They are a real pain in the neck to take every 2 hours. In the 1st 4 months, it was hell, I became so incredibly depressed, wanted to jump off a bridge. The interval was too big: 4-5 hours. I pushed it to 40 mg a day every 2 hours. He said, 'You won't sleep if you take them after 5 pm.' I sometimes take them at 9 pm and sleep at 11 pm. Side effect: big headaches if I dare to forget my pill after 2 hours."

Amphetamine "My son is 7 and has been on Dyanavel XR for less than a month. He was switched because of the shortage of Quillivant XR. While my son was taking the Quillivant, he was doing great in school. I was not getting any calls from the school or anything. Overall he was doing great. In this last month of taking the Dyanavel, my son has been suspended from his after-school program, and just today he was suspended from school. He totally flipped out on the teacher, the principal, and the police at the school. I will be switching medicine."
