"I just started this medication, and I like it for the hyperactivity side of my ADHD. I have tried almost every ADHD medication, but most recently was on Vyvanse. With Vyvanse, I had great concentration, but the hyperactivity was not controlled well, so she had me try Adzenys. I've only been on it about a week, and the taste is not that bad for being a dissolvable medication. But I will say that I can't take it immediately and then go to work because I become almost spaced out. I know I probably need to adjust to it, and it's great once the first hour has passed. I'm still unsure whether I will stay on Adzenys or switch back to Vyvanse, but so far, so good."

"Adzenys is the first stimulant medicine I've ever tried. I went through a very bad depression from a car accident, and working out, eating right, and trying every antidepressant just made me even more depressed. Since taking Adzenys, I'm back to my old happy, energetic self! I don't have ADD or ADHD, so I can't comment on that, but I do know this has helped me get over most of my depression and helped me to get back to working out and just got me off the couch and out of my rut. The energy was so immense the first week, and then I started to get used to it, which I've quite enjoyed. I'm not running around like a madwoman, but I have the energy and the drive to be my normal self again. At first, I had insomnia for a week, but Benadryl helped for sure!"

"My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago (she's 13 now) and was on Adderall XR 25 mg for a few years. She was never hungry and had a hard time sleeping. We switched her to Adzenys XR 12.5 (lower than her Adderall dose equivalent). It doesn't seem to last as long -- but then again, it's not as strong. The good thing is her appetite is back, and she doesn't have trouble sleeping. She also doesn't complain about not feeling like herself (she is usually a pretty happy kid but complained the Adderall made her withdrawn). She's doing fairly good in school, though she has some learning challenges in some areas. Although she's only been on it a few months, I am relatively happy with the results."

"This is the only medication we've tried so far for my 11-year-old son, but it works. His schoolwork has done a 180-degree turn since we started on Dyanavel. The only downside is the flavor, which he hates, but he's motivated, so he takes it anyway. We haven't had any negative side effects other than reduced appetite in the first few months of taking the medication. He's back to raiding the fridge 24/7 now, though."

"This medication didn't come close to helping me the way my regular Adderall does. That being said, I am going to stick with what I know works, but that's just me. Now I've heard others swear by Adzenys and wonder where it's been all of their lives, which I think is great. Just like any other drug, what works for one may be rubbish for another. Adzenys is a fairly new drug on the market, so of course, doctors everywhere are going to be pushing it right now. I've worked in the medical field, and I've seen doctors promote medications that they weren't even crazy about. It just depended on what the drug rep looked like for that particular medication and how they themselves were going to benefit by writing the drug. I'm not saying Adzenys is bad, I'm just saying for me it didn't work."

"I may not be the right demographic for this medication, but it works well and better than lugging around a pill bottle and swallowing a pill with water. Comes in individual blister packs and is easy to transport for ADHD traveling business professionals like myself."

"After both Ritalin and Adderall aggravated my anxiety and caused my heart to race, my doctor suggested Evekeo. It did not cause my heart to race, but I was only on 5 mg, and it did not help my symptoms. My doctor upped me to 10 mg, but I was unable to afford it even with the copay card because I don't have very good insurance. I'm trying to find a way to afford it because it was so great to find an ADHD med that didn't cause my heart to race like others."

"I'm on day 2 of Adzenys. I like that I take it once. But the texture is gritty once dissolved. It's a dissolvable pill, so what do you expect? I do experience dry mouth and a slight decrease in appetite, but it's nothing serious. My doctor started me on a pediatric dose of 6.3 milligrams once a day. Another problem I see is that I'm having a hard time falling asleep. It could be because I take the medication around 11 o'clock in the morning, but that's the time I get up. So it's honestly too early for me to tell. We will see once I get a routine going and school starts again."

"My son has been on this for a year. I love this medication since little to no side effects. His focus and constant going have improved dramatically, yet not a zombie and can sleep and eat with no problem. No crankiness when it wears off either. He hates the taste. Only issue is the coupon for $20 a month just expired. They gave a new number, but the price really went up. This month is now $228!!!! May have to find a new type, and I’m quite sad about that!!! I was denied even with prior approval from the doctor. Darn it!!!"

"Tried all these different medicines and found Vyvanse XR worked perfect until insurance didn’t cover it anymore, so I took Concerta, and that basically made my heart rate go up to 170 BPM, and it was ridiculous. So I tried a newer medication, Evekeo, and it’s good but causes a hell of a withdrawal, including anger, diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, and loss of appetite, but for the most part, it’s good."

"My son started taking Adzenys XR-ODT about 18 months ago, at the age of 8 years old, and it has been the best option so far. Prior to that, he had been on Adderall, Adderall XR-ODT, and Cotempla XR-ODT (which made him incredibly moody in the afternoons as it wore off). He's maintained the 9.4 dosage for 18 months, and we are pleased with it. It dissolves, so I give it to him about 45 minutes before he needs to wake up - which makes mornings so much smoother in our household! We still have to make sure he eats enough - although he is usually ravenous at bedtime once it's worn off - but it's worth it."

"I was switched from Adderall 20 mg tablets that I was taking PRN, so not every day, to the Evekeo. I asked to try something else because the Adderall would wear off quickly, and I felt like I needed to take several pills back to back. I'm not a fan of taking meds in the first place, so this was a problem for me. My doc made the switch to Evekeo 10 mg once a day but advised me to taper myself until I felt it working. I'm in healthcare, so no problem tapering and keeping track. Being that it was new to me, I started by taking 2.5 mg and tapering up over the span of several days. I didn't feel a single thing all the way up to when I finally tapered to 20 mg all at once. The only things I think I felt from it were paranoia/anxiety (that seemed to come out of nowhere) and craving beer... I hate beer! During this trial, my productivity and focus tanked. I waited a day and took one of my old Adderall, and it worked like a charm. In conclusion, I can't say this is bad for everybody, but it's definitely not for me."

"Excellent medicine for those who just want to have focus without the euphoria or racing thoughts that often make us anxious. I've been taking Adderall IR generic from (Teva) for over 5 years. I changed a few times to Adderall XR brand when I couldn't find Teva's on the market anymore. I came to the generic by (Lanette), which works, but it makes me much more agitated and anxious than focused with tasks. Evekeo won't give you that euphoria that Adderall gives, but it will give you the results you need from your treatment because I just changed it, and I soon realized that I was finally able to do things without overthinking and not knowing where to start. Evekeo is purer than Adderall because it is amphetamine sulfate only, with the composition (levoamphetamine) 50/50 (dextroamphetamine). Adderall is a mixture of salts containing 4 types of salts, and the composition is (levoamphetamine) 25/75 (dextroamphetamine). I take 10mg 4x a day = 40mg. If 20mg pills were made, it would be great."

"Was prescribed Concerta, Adderall, Strattera, and Vyvanse. All worked for a bit and ceased to work and gave me awful side effects. At least with Evekeo and the generic kind, I have control of dosing and it’s always persistent."

"Evekeo has been great for the first time. I am doing a lot better in my school, and I understand it better. When it comes off, it's smooth, and I don't stay up all night. I use the discount for my prescription and my insurance card, and it is not that expensive. But without all of that, it definitely will be."

"I was a little skeptical to try a new drug, but when my Daytrana went on backorder, I listened to my doctor, and I'm glad I did. I hate to swallow pills and didn't want to carry around any syrup with me, so this works perfectly for me. It actually tastes like orange! Which, as you know, most drugs don't actually taste like the flavor they say it should, so I was pleasantly surprised. I got to try it out free for the first month and will be continuing to use it in the future!"

"Been on this for about 3 months now. At first, it was great in keeping me focused on tasks at work and at home, but it is starting to not be as effective, I feel. My doctor prescribed me the 18.8 mg variety based on my weight and also because I am a gastric bypass patient, as I digest and absorb things differently, which is why we didn't go the more known route of Adderall. As I've taken this medication, especially over the last month, I've noticed I have more anxiety, and I'm not my normal happy-go-lucky self. I have a follow-up in April with my doctor and will address these issues then to see what other game plan we can come up with. I've heard from a friend that also had gastric bypass that she takes Vyvanse."

"My doctor suggested switching me from 70 mg of Vyvanse to 10 mg of Evekeo (2x per day) to see if that eliminated the insomnia issue I was having with Vyvanse. After a week on Evekeo, I'd go back to Vyvanse in a heartbeat. I've been taking stimulant medication for ADD for almost 30 years, and I have never had one be utterly ineffective at helping me focus. With Evekeo, it's like I took nothing at all. Zero ability to focus. To make matters worse, I'm experiencing 6 of the main side effects, one of which is a raging headache that sticks around all day (and feels like a migraine when the med first kicks in). It makes me feel very wired and shaky, too. I just called my doctor and asked to be squeezed in ASAP so I can switch to something else (might go back to Adderall), as I cannot keep taking Evekeo for another 20+ days."

"We switched from Vyvanse in the morning and Focalin in the afternoon because the cost was getting way too expensive for both, and insurance wasn't allowing us to get name brand so we could use a copay card. After switching to Evekeo, my 11-year-old son started having major anger and frustration problems in school. His teachers said it worked well the first couple of days for his focusing, but then it was like he wasn't on it at all. He started becoming extremely defiant in school, hitting himself in the face because he was mad and frustrated. Calming him down was next to impossible. We were getting calls on a daily basis. Not sure how we will do it, but we are more than likely going back to his previous medication."

"Adderall XR became less effective, so the doctor wanted me to try Adzenys XR 15.7. I do not like it. Terrible headaches right after I take it, then I get nauseated. Even though the Adderall XR has become less effective, at least it gives me some concentration without side effects. Also, I hate the blister pack it comes in, and it tastes terrible with a gritty bad aftertaste."

"ADHD daughter, age 6, was prescribed this after bad temper, audio hallucinations from Adderall. Has been on 4 ml for almost 2 years. It's worked wonderfully, no crashes or any side effects. As little as 2 ml on weekends helps her focus. She has kept her appetite. After over 2 years, we're going to discuss increasing her dosage, and I think she has built up a tolerance. The drug now tapers off after 4 hours almost, whereas before it would last 6-8."

"Today was the first day of use (15.7 mg), after switching from Adderall 30 mg daily. Could not tell I had taken anything at all. My thinking is no more clear. I have zero energy. Vyvanse caused a taser-like spasm down my spine when I tried it a few years ago. Adderall has become less effective, but does still help me to focus."

"I have been on Adderall 20 mg 3x/day for a couple of years. My doctor switched me to this med because I was experiencing increased anxiety. I have a lot of issues at home, which I think is the cause of the increase in anxiety. My doctor, however, thinks Adderall might be the cause. I know my body, and this new medication just is NOT working for me. I wanted to switch back, but she wants me to try 18.8 mg instead of 12.5. I don't have much hope because it didn't do a thing for my focus or attention, and my energy is completely depleted. I feel like I have been given a placebo."

"I had tried everything and didn't like how all of the other stimulants made me feel. My doctor mentioned this and that it was new, and it blew my expectations out of the water. It's incredibly useful, but you don’t feel like you’re on medicine, you don’t feel the highs and lows that even Adderall or others cause. It’s extremely smooth, and it got me back to normal."

"I enjoyed Evekeo. It was great when it came to improving focus. I also have shift work disorder, so for me, stimulants are great as they help me overcome the hump I hit every morning when I just want to go to bed and sleep all day. My wife complained that I was getting really hard to live with compared to normal. I knew I was more irritable than normal. Over the 5 months I took it, I did feel like the level of irritability and argumentativeness was steadily increasing. I stopped taking it when my wife told me I was starting to become unbearable. I usually get 2 migraines a year, but while on Evekeo, I had 3 in 5 months."
