For COPD "I recently was changed to Anoro, and the first month was fabulous. I could breathe after being on Combivent for 8 years for COPD. Then I started having breathing issues, along with a cough and tightness in my throat. Totally disappointed since Anoro was so great in the beginning. I do live in Florida and walk my dog several times a day, which the weather is extremely hot and humid. Now back on my old inhalers until I see my doctor."

For COPD "I moved from Fostair and Spiriva to Anoro. Initially, it was a relief not having to take the drug twice a day, but the side effects are really bad for me. An hour after taking Anoro, I get a decent headache that lasts until mid-afternoon. Anoro also gives me constipation and shortness of breath (unless my COPD got worse and causes it), and walks of an hour are a thing of the past."

For COPD "I've now been on Anoro for a full three months, and I can truly say that it has changed my life. The first month was rocky-its effectiveness in alleviating my shortness of breath was variable, I had body aches for the first few days and generally felt unwell. I ended up in the local ER at the end of the first month with diffuse chest pain and shortness of breath, which was easily alleviated with steroids. It was not until weeks 6-7 that I began to experience consistent, reliable, comfortable breathing. As I start my fourth month, I'm walking two miles a day and feel very well indeed! I'm beginning to feel and act like I'm alive again. If you are prescribed this drug, be prepared to possibly feel unwell for a bit (my pulmonologist told me it would be a process, and I think that's the best way to describe it), but if you hang in there, I hope the payoff will be as huge as mine has been!"
