"Day two out of three. So far, so good. Light green discharge disappeared the morning after the first dose. The itchiness is still very much here. I can’t sleep. Other than that, no other symptoms so far."

"It is my first diagnosed yeast infection. I went to the doctor after one mild and two extremely itchy nights (itch started on Saturday and I saw the doctor on Tuesday). I decided to wait for a few days before using the medication, and although itching was never as bad as nights 2 & 3, I decided to try the medication as my quality of life was going down and my days consumed by this matter, and I was having a bit of discharge, although I had none at the beginning. I started the medication exactly one week after I first felt itching. I was prescribed 7 nights of Taro terconazole 0.4% and two doses of fluconazole -150 (one tablet to be taken 14 days later). This combination has worked for me, and now, 13 days from day 1 of itching, I feel completely normal."

"I had no side effects with this medication! I had the three-day dose, and it was a little intimidating due to the size of the applicator, but it didn't hurt or burn at all. Cleared my infection right up. Would definitely recommend! But just make sure to do it right before bed because it will come out a little."

"I was disappointed when my midwife prescribed terconazole cream for my YI. I've never had success with OTC creams like Monistat before, so I expected the same. I prefer fluconazole because the pill always works for me, but I'm pregnant and can't currently take it. My cream was the 3-day, 0.8% intravaginal suppository. By day 2, most of my symptoms were gone, and by day 3, I had no symptoms. The leaking of cream after insertion was not an issue for me, not much actually drained out anyway, and besides, I'd rather deal with cream drainage than itchiness and burning any day. I did experience nausea in the mornings, but again, I'm pregnant, so it could've been unrelated to the medication. Terconazole worked great for me, I'd use it again if needed."

"I’ve had chronic yeast infections for years, and for me, this is the only medication that’s worked for me. My doctor did a 6-week treatment of Diflucan, 2 other creams, and Monistat, only to find they kept coming back. Now, after having had surgery to fix the damage the infections did over the years, I always request Terconazole if I have one. Recently, I got another because of too many antibiotics (other issues), and I asked for Terconazole because after years of suffering, that is the only cream I know works for me. I will say, though, that the first few days create a burn/irritation quite a bit, the tube likes to overflow almost uncontrollably after filling the applicator, and the feeling of walking around for 7 days as if I was on a very heavy period with something there isn’t fun, but it is bearable. Definitely plan on using this again if ever need be and recommend it!"

"Was prescribed 3 days after Diflucan didn't work for me. The first night was fine, but on the second day, I began feeling feverish and a severe headache. I thought that would be the worst of it, so I used the second dose, and in the middle of the night, I woke up shaking, sweating, with a high fever and chills. Thought I was dying, felt like a horrible flu. Could not continue this medication - the absolute worst. I NEVER have side effects with medication, and this was a nightmare."

"I was prescribed 2 doses of the metronidazole pills, then the cream after months of having recurring BV. It never worked... Creepy, swollen vulva, it felt like I had dead tissue. Itching was unbearable. My vagina no longer produced moisture, just rubber-like discharge that seemed to be greenish-yellow (no STDs)... Needless to say, I've never seen anything like it before! But after just one day of using this cream, I'm practically back to normal. I will continue my treatment until it's gone. I personally had no side effects at all. The only thing is that the cream does come out, so I suggest wearing a pantiliner and changing it once it becomes soiled."

"I am 7 months pregnant and had a YI. Last time (4 months ago with my last infection), I took Monistat 7 days, it was torture. It burned and kept me awake for hours. Fast forward to Terconazole. I told my doctor about the torture, and he prescribed me this instead. I'm on the 7 days. So far, no burning, and my YI symptoms are gone. Yeah, it's messy. But all the 7-day creams are messy. I'll take the mess for the soothing, reaction-less healing of Terconazole."

"I was scared from the reviews of terconazole at first, so the first day I only inserted a little of the cream to see if it was gonna burn like the Monistat, but it didn’t. Love it... took my symptoms away by day 2... currently on day 5, and I would use this cream again for a yeast infection that was stagnant and won’t go away with the pill."

"It is 2 am, and I’m in agony! I used the terconazole cream as directed for a yeast infection before bed and woke up to my vagina on fire. I took a shower to try to get the cream out of me, still in major pain. I may go to the ER. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!"

"I haven't had many YIs in my life. But lately, it seems I've had them more frequently. I am on birth control and am 41 and figure my hormones are changing. This last time, I tried the usual Diflucan pill because that has always worked in the past. It seemed to clear up all of my symptoms until a week later, I tried to have sex and the pain was just horrible. I went to my gyn, and he prescribed 3-day terconazole 0.8% vaginal suppositories. I was nervous because I have had horrible experiences with Monistat and other suppositories, but the terconazole didn't bother me much at all! A little stinging the first night, but nothing unbearable. Two days have passed now since I finished the 3-night script (5 days since I began the medicine), and I feel 98% better! Praying it doesn't return (the only reason I didn't give a 10 rating is waiting to see if it completely goes away)."

"I got the 7-day terconazole. I had tried using Diflucan, but it would go away and come back after taking some antibiotics. Started taking probiotics as well, but after the first night of using, I woke up to no burning or itching. I was worried because of the reviews, but so far no side effects, and hopefully this gets rid of my problem for good."

"I was 6 weeks pregnant when I started having burning and itching of my privates. My OB-GYN prescribed terconazole, 3-day regimen. It worked like magic, by the second day of use, I was feeling relieved. Less itch and burning sensation. Now, a year after, the yeast infection returned, I'm currently using it again, and hopefully will be better."

"After my first dose of the 3-day suppositories, the next day I was hit with high fever, chills, headache, and body aches. I didn't think it was the medicine, so I continued. The next day was worse. So bad I had to go to the ER. I did finish the medicine and still have symptoms. Will not use again."

"I have had a constant struggle with yeast infection during pregnancy. I used it for 10 days. It burned for a few days for me because I was raw and irritated from how bad the itching was. As soon as I applied and inserted this cream, it burned and itched for a while but cleared up my yeast infection fast. Personally, I like the pill one-time dose better but wear a pad or liner. Don't have sex while using this, it will burn your partner!!!!"

"I’m using terconazole in the 3-day dosage form. Immediately felt cramping and then had bloody discharge. The pain and burning did not subside, rather, I became more sensitive and inflamed. I’m taking my 3rd dosage today, but so far I hate this product and wish I took a pill instead (which used to work for me in the past)."

"After reading these reviews, I was very skeptical to try this once it was prescribed. I’ve tried over-the-counter Monistat for yeast infections, and the burning was almost unbearable, so I was scared to use another vaginal cream. But to my surprise, this did not burn at all. There was an irritating tingling feeling on day one, but a yeast infection is already irritating, and it went away in like an hour. Day two, I woke up a little itchy. Once I took the cream, the symptoms went away almost immediately, and I was good all day. Today is day three, and I’m excited that I almost feel back to myself! I would recommend this. I have had no side effects, the only thing is some of the cream will come out, so wear some panties you don’t care about or a liner, lol!"

Terconazole topical "Terazol 3 works for me every time, especially if I have to take an antibiotic for a UTI. Diflucan does not always work. No side effects, except maybe the first day, I get a little slight burn, but it goes away pretty quickly, and the medicine starts working immediately. After 48 hours, I feel great, but take the day 3 application, and I feel 100% cured."

"I was put on Terazol 0.8% after my results came back showing I had a yeast infection. My GYN had noticed some discharge prior to prescribing me Terazol. The first day went okay, but my second day I noticed some discomfort. I had a little bit of irritation/burning, but was told by my provider that's normal and to continue the medication. By my third day after inserting my last dose, I still noticed the same symptoms as day two. I hope this last dose of it zaps this YI away! I will come back with an update."

"Itching has gone down after the third dose, but I have a burning sensation when I put the medication in. I also started having a headache and nausea, but it could be from the oral antibiotics I was put on."

"Currently 4 months pregnant, the doctor found “traces of yeast” in my vagina and prescribed me this. Took my first dose yesterday. For the first 10 minutes, I was completely fine... then after that... I got a weird sensation that didn’t want to make me get out of bed. I curled up in a ball just to make it stop. Skip forward to today... I felt fine until I peed... Now before taking this medicine, I wasn’t feeling any type of burning or discomfort... it felt like a burning sensation with what looked like light spotting. I didn’t take another dose... will be talking to my doctor about this."

"This is my first time using the cream. I had never heard of it, but I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. I've had a yeast infection for about 2 months, it cleared up, and then it keeps coming back, so my OB prescribed me this. This is my first night using it, and so far, it's working really good. I'm glad it doesn't burn like the other ones that I've gotten. Hopefully it continues to work and take this itchiness away because it's really aggravating. Especially since I get swollen. I normally just take a warm bath, that seemed to help. I didn't think I had it still until I went to the OB today and explained, and he prescribed me this. It does tingle a little, but I guess that means it's working. I just wish it goes away as I am sick of it."

"I don't usually post on these, but OMG, this cream is a lifesaver because I really wanted to blow my head off after all the itching that occurred tonight and the night before. I applied or inserted the cream and made a call to my gyn at 2 am. After laughing at me, they assured me I would be fine after a visit from the doctor. The itching stopped maybe 5-7 minutes after use. Was so unbelievably, I pray it don't come back tonight."

"My yeast infection from the antibiotic Azithromycin (I took it for a bad sinus infection) did not go away with 1 oral dose of fluconazole, so I went to the doctor for a solution. She prescribed this and said it is strong. It is so strong my head feels like it was crushed under a car. Very painful headache. Yeast symptoms all gone after day 2 of 3. I wouldn't recommend this med, I've had better results using plain yogurt (have a dairy allergy though, so unable to use any longer). Cost was $10 at Walgreens with United Healthcare insurance."

Terconazole topical "I started having an itchy mouth/throat with ulcers developing on day 5, not realizing I was having an allergic reaction. On day 7, I went to bed and woke up at 5 a.m., then almost blacked out while lying in bed, sweating, and my whole abdominal area swelled up from below my breast area all the way down. It was the weirdest feeling I've ever had and thought I was literally going to die. I grabbed 2 Benadryl immediately (thank goodness I had it) and got to the doctor immediately. This happened 4 weeks ago. And I am still not over the itchy roof of my mouth and still have a few ulcers. I am 42 years old and I have used this medicine several times over the years, so I don't know what happened, but I want to tell other women to please be careful."
