For Urinary Frequency "I took this medication for two weeks. It did nothing in reducing OAB. I had a horrible reaction of severe drowsiness! It was so bad I almost went to sleep in traffic a couple of times before I realized what was causing me to feel that way. I lost all my energy and gumption to get anything done. I just wanted to sleep. Then, in week two, I got to the point where, when I went to the restroom, I would just sit there. I could not start a flow without thinking about it for what seemed like five minutes. I stopped taking it and called my doctor. I am calling in another medication to try. I pray it works without all the side effects!"

For Urinary Frequency "I started on a low dose, 5 mg of Vesicare for OAB. Worked by third dose. It's working really well for me, no more accidents, no side effects. I take mine with dinner as the evening was when I was up and down to the toilet, which was difficult as I have rheumatoid arthritis and by the evening I don't want to be getting up and down and cannot do so quickly. Also, my Goldie dog tends to somehow always be laying in the wrong place when I'm in a hurry, LOL. I notice it can make you drowsy, and I have been sleeping really well, and that's not because of not having to get up at night when in bed, as that wasn't much of a problem anyway."

For Urinary Frequency "I've been on this medication for one week (10 mg) and have found it to work quite well. I'm not running to the bathroom constantly, and I am able to hold my urine until I can get there when I do have to go. I am experiencing dry mouth, which I hope will go away, and I have been a little drowsy, but neither of these side effects are unmanageable. I started taking Metamucil 2x daily and have not been constipated yet. I will keep taking it but may try cutting the pills in half to make the prescription last longer (expensive!)"

For Urinary Incontinence "I've had stress urinary incontinence for over 2 years and never considered taking meds, pissed myself like every week and never slept good because it made me wake up like 2 or 3 times a night, plus having pain in my bladder. Started taking VESIcare 5 ml 5 months ago. Honestly, it's really good. I started seeing changes since the first month. I piss myself rarely now and don't wake up at night, maybe just once a night. I'll continue using it for 5 more months, maybe more. The only bad thing is the side effects, which are so annoying to me: really bad constipation, blurred vision, stomach pain, bad headaches, bad drowsiness, and fatigue, which affects my life because it makes me unable to do anything in my day, plus dryness. Me and my doctor still can't figure out the reason because it started when I was only 15. But anyways, it's a good med, just bad side effects."

For Urinary Incontinence "Prescribed for urinary incontinence, notably stress incontinence. I started with 5mg (eventually began 10 mg) of VESIcare, and it worked overnight. When I am running low on tablets and payday is off in the future, I have good success with taking 10mg every other night. Side effects: 1. Very dry mouth, but a good excuse to drink more water, keep TicTacs handy, over time, it has greatly diminished. 2. Drowsiness: I started taking it at night. 3. Constipation: drank more water and took a daily stool softener until my body readjusted."
