Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I am going crazy on this drug. I have been on several BP meds and none worked. Put me on Bystolic 10mg, numbers were not good. Felt like I was going to die most days. Severe ear pressure, ringing, and sensitivity. Insomnia, numb hands and feet, headaches constantly, severe fatigue, anxiety, shaking, stopped doing everything, stopped meds on my own. Will I ever feel better? Feel like I'm gonna die!"

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "37-year-old male, extremely fit, 2-time Iraq deployed, still Active Duty Army. Blood pressure skyrocketed after my first deployment in 2004/2005. VA prescribed lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide. Struggled from the start with severe headaches and a very high pulse for over 10 years and through a second deployment in 2010/2011. VA refused to change meds even though my BP and pulse were never stable. Finally manned up and switched to a civilian doctor a month ago. He immediately told me to cease the VA's medicine and put me on Bystolic. I've never felt better. BP during exercise hasn't been over 124/71, pulse around 105, lowers to 115/60 throughout the day, and my pulse is a beautiful 58-70 at its highest during the stresses of daily Army work."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "Bystolic works for me with very 'few' side effects. Aged mid-40s, female. Typical reading prior to taking was 175/120, pulse 125. Now on Bystolic 5mg for 2 months, my BP is 125/65, pulse 60. A major difference, and my headaches went away that I previously had (due to HBP). I think it depends on the chemistry of the individual and pre-existing health conditions that one may have. Based on my own experiences while taking this medication, I feel so much better, minimal reactions (NO anxiety or depression, actually much calmer, and I am a very hyper individual constantly on the move). It definitely helped me! ❤️ One time, accidentally overlapping the time frames that I normally take it, I experienced an adverse effect taking it 2 hours earlier one day (by accident) than the usual time, and my pulse decreased to 45 BPM, and my BP actually increased! I experienced dizziness, almost fainted, mimicking an overdose. Taken the same time daily, it is very effective!"

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I have had extremely high blood pressure (195/100 - 259/105) since January after an injection I received, which landed me in the emergency room 3 times and 19 doctor visits since then. I used to have elevated (130/98 - 138/99) blood pressure, but nothing like this. Five medication changes since this episode and nothing helped. Finally, a new MD switched me to Bystolic yesterday, and within minutes, I felt tremendous relief. I even slept the whole night through without a pounding heartbeat in my ears, no headache upon waking, for the first time since January 26th after the injection experience. It’s been pure anguish for a few months. I still have many tests to go through to find out what caused this. I’m usually very active, riding horses, doing yoga, riding my Peloton bike, walking 8 miles a day on the ranches. But all came to a screeching halt since that day. But today, I even did yoga without dizziness! Praying for continued success with this drug, and I will update if things change."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "Bystolic 5 mg for hypertension has made me extremely sleepy, with considerable fatigue. I want to lay down all the time. I also have occasional diarrhea, headaches, and have a lot of trouble with dizziness. It has not lowered my blood pressure, but I am afraid of more side effects if I take a stronger dose. I am tired, tired, tired all the time."

Nebivolol for Mitral Valve Prolapse "I have mitral valve prolapse, female, 42. I started Bystolic, 5 mg, a couple of weeks ago, no palpitations, no dizziness, no headaches, no fatigue. My sleep is off a bit, but other than that, I feel great."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I just found out I had high blood pressure in April 2011. From April until August, I tried seven different BP medicines, and they were all too strong, to say the least, and made me sick to the point that I could not function and gave me severe headaches. My BP was all over the place, way high, then it would bottom out. My cardiologist suggested I try a beta blocker since I started having panic attacks as well, and it would help my heart rate slow down a bit. I started Bystolic 5 mg on August 1 and found out that one was way too strong, so they lowered my dose to 2.5 mg and I started taking it at bedtime. Taking it at night really did the trick and the lower dose is much better for me, and my BP is staying steady at about 117/72. So far, so good."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I started Bystolic in October of 2011 after using five other medicines over the past two and a half years with drastic side effects and little relief. I was on Cardizem for a week when they switched me to a month's supply of 5 mg Bystolic. It was the answer I had hoped for. My blood pressure was at a normal level, with no palpitations. About week three, they started-the side effects. The first was swelling in the legs, ankles, and hands. Then came the headaches, joint pains, and difficulty breathing. By week four, my blood pressure rose again, the palpitations began again, and the side effects worsened. I went back to Atenolol, figuring that if I was going to have palpitations, the side effects were less painful than the discomfort of the palpitations."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "It was effective in lowering my blood pressure from 150/95 down to 128/83 on average. However, this drop came at a tremendous expense to my lifestyle. I've felt very low energy, occasional dizziness, headaches, and a general lack of interest in anything. My appetite dropped, and I stopped feeling life inside me. In a nutshell, harmful side effects make this drug ineffective in solving BP problems."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I trialed Metoprolol, Diltiazem, and Coreg prior to Bystolic (for treatment of PSVT, atrial tachycardia, PAC's/PVC's). Metoprolol made me ill, Diltiazem was ineffective and caused me to hear my heartbeat all day and night long, and Coreg was great at lowering my HR but inefficient at preventing my palpitations and SVT events. I've been on Bystolic (lowest possible dosage) for 2-3 months and my palpitations/events have drastically been reduced. My HR has gone from 115 resting to about 90, which I am so thankful for. I was hesitant to take this medication because of other patients' reports of headaches, but I take mine before bed and have had no issues. I can't say that I've had any side effects, to be honest. I'm really impressed with this drug. It's given me back a bit of normalcy in my life."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "25 years old, sensitive to most medicines, and this was another one on the blacklist. Headaches occasionally, insomnia, loss of sexual desire, heart palpitations, depression, dizzy when standing up or squatting down, tired when sitting down, and short-term memory was terrible."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I have been on Bystolic for two months. I was previously on metoprolol and had to discontinue due to the shortage. My blood pressure immediately stabilized while on Bystolic and is running now in the 120/80 range, which has not been in 10 years. I experienced some dizziness the first couple of weeks, but that has gone now. My PVCs are controlled but slightly more than on metoprolol. The most significant thing is that headaches and eye twitching I was having disappeared within two days of being off metoprolol and on Bystolic. I never realized they were being caused by the metoprolol. I have also switched from Naprosyn to Advil. While contraindicated with a beta blocker, I could not do without an anti-inflammatory - Advil had less negative effects on blood pressure."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I am a thin lady in my mid-forties who has had issues with increasing blood pressure over the last few years, but worse the past year, as readings were around 175/105 daily. I know most people report no symptoms with high BP, but I feel bad when mine is up - headache and just an overall ill feeling. I finally went to the doctor and was prescribed 10 mg Bystolic, and although it has only been one week (so I can't give a long-term review), I feel SO much better. BP is now 123/83, and HR has gone from around 88 to 62. Apart from helping the BP, I also feel less anxious and no longer get those jolts of stress-related adrenaline rushes. So calm and just feel 100% better overall. The only side effect I can report is occasional shortness of breath about 2-3 hrs before my next dose. Then after the medication, it goes away. I have headaches too, but I frequently have headaches and doubt it's related to the medication. Overall, I am thrilled and thankful to be on this medication!"

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I encourage you to try this drug. I had tried at least three other B.P. meds before this. They all had bad side effects or didn't work. This one is a keeper. After three days, my blood pressure was considerably lower. I am calmer. Headaches GONE! Makes you pretty zoned out while getting used to it. I am having some sleep issues that I will consult my doctor about. Other than that, I am very pleased. Dose: 5 mg. 71-year-old female. Hypertension and fibromyalgia. I am on the generic. Hope this helps somebody!"

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I have been on 5 mg of Bystolic for 3 weeks now, and it has changed my life. This is my 4th beta blocker to try out; the other ones gave me terrible side effects. I have more energy than ever, friends and family notice my mood is cheerier, and as a 38-year-old female, I eat way less, which is helpful for my overall health. I had a horrible headache the first week, but that went away after about a week or two, and so far, that is the only side effect I have encountered. Most importantly, my blood pressure is already improving/lowering, and my resting heart rate is significantly lower!"

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I am a 43-year-old female, 5'7", 130. Been on Bystolic for about a month. BP went from 160/113 down to 93/58 in about 2 hours in the doctor's office. Went to the doctor due to dizziness and ended up with high blood pressure. Naggy little headache, but I also had oral surgery in the last month, so not sure which one it could be. I walk every day for 70 minutes, 14 miles. No side effects so far."
