Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "The medicine worked great to counter my sinusitis, and I was breathing better after just one dose. But the side effects are almost unbearable: nausea, dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, dry mouth, and constipation. The dizziness and lightheadedness kick in after about an hour of taking the pill and last for about 5 hours. Very difficult to function normally and trying to work while taking this medicine."

Moxifloxacin for Bacterial Infection "The next day after taking it, I began to have twitching in my hands and fingers, dizzy, could not walk a straight line, and was extremely tired, sleeping 20 hours (I usually sleep 6 hours). After being taken off, after 3 days, most of my strength has returned, still a bit lightheaded. Apparently, these effects affect 2% who take the medicine."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "If you take SSRIs (antidepressants) for anxiety and/or depression, watch it while on this medicine. In addition to the dizziness, lightheadedness, and stomach problems, it might reduce the overall effectiveness of your SSRI."

Moxifloxacin for Pneumonia "I am on my sixth day of Avelox 400 mg for pneumonia. I have noticed a big change in my breathing, and I do feel better. Still counting down to the last 4. Mostly because after I take it, I start feeling depressed, ill, tired, and still cannot eat or drink much. So I dehydrated to the point that I could not understand what people were saying. Nothing made any sense. That is better now, but still get confused, dizzy, lightheaded when I walk, depressed, and so on."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "I have chronic sinus infections that are not unbearable...mostly annoying. I was prescribed Avelox recently and am halfway done with my dose. I have had some seriously horrible reactions to this drug. Granted, it is obviously helping with my sinus infection, but the dizziness, nausea, lightheadedness, dehydration, and overall sick feeling are worse than the sinus infection itself. I am glad that I will no longer have an infection in my body, but isn't there another way? This is awful!"

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "I took a second pill and had a severe reaction to it in less than 25 minutes. It started with nausea, hives, extremely dizzy and lightheaded, slurred speech, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat and rise in blood pressure and heart rate, severe anxiety and weakness."

Moxifloxacin for Pneumonia "I felt good the next day after one pill. My chest felt better, but the side effects scare me. I get quick light-headed and dizzy the whole time on this drug. I could not sleep, I felt very restless. But the medicine cleared up my lungs."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "Yes, it works! However, the side effects are horrible. Light-headed and majorly dizzy, to the point where I was very uncomfortable driving. This is the 2nd time I've used it and the same results each time. Caused me to call out of work for a whole week until the side effects were gone."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "The only problem I have with this medication so far is how expensive it is. So far, the only side effects I have had are a light-headed feeling, similar to a feeling of an antihistamine with pseudoephedrine in the mix. I am already starting to feel better."

For Bacterial Infection "I’m on day 3. Feeling extremely anxious, multiple panic attacks, diarrhea, fatigue, lightheadedness, some back aches, fast heartbeat. I’ll continue with it as these symptoms seem to come and go alongside the anxiety. The problem is I have no way of contacting a doctor for the next few days, so I kind of just have to push through."

Moxifloxacin for Bacterial Infection "This past Wednesday, my right nostril was a little sore, figured I was a little overly aggressive with the allergy early morning blowing. By Friday, 3:30 a.m., I woke up to stabbing pain all on the right side of my face! Swollen, and the tissue was HARD, nasal passage (where the infection started) was 3/4 closed! Today is day 4, my face is pliable again, still a little stiff close to my right nostril, but my lips, cheeks, and eyes feel great, nostril very slightly tender in comparison to Wednesday. This Avelox works, only problem I've had is dry mouth (drinking plenty of water) and a little lightheaded/dizzy, but I'm not driving, so that's okay!"

For Bacterial Infection "Worst medication. Ruined me. Had 8 days of antibiotics, moxifloxacin, for a chest infection. I started to feel dizzy, and had heart palpitations, pain, tingling in my legs and arm, headaches, felt lightheaded, and losing balance. I also found it hard to sleep, felt anxious and nervous, and paranoid. Some weird feelings. Been off the medication for 5 days and still feel side effects. Might even be for life. Hope not."
