For Bacterial Infection "I have mycoplasma genitalium. I’ve had it for nearly a year now. Was given other antibiotics before, but they were not effective, so now I’m on a ten-day course with moxifloxacin. I was ridiculously scared to take the tablets after reading into it so much and seeing the possible dangerous side effects, but decided I would do whatever it takes to get better. 4/10 days, I’ve had dizziness and fatigue, muscle ache, headaches that come and go, a little bit of tingling here and there in the arm, have also found myself getting very agitated and have been quite emotional. It’s not the easiest course to go through, but things seem to be clearing up."

For Bacterial Infection "Worst medication. Ruined me. Had 8 days of antibiotics, moxifloxacin, for a chest infection. I started to feel dizzy, and had heart palpitations, pain, tingling in my legs and arm, headaches, felt lightheaded, and losing balance. I also found it hard to sleep, felt anxious and nervous, and paranoid. Some weird feelings. Been off the medication for 5 days and still feel side effects. Might even be for life. Hope not."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "I took a 10-day dose 1 year ago for a sinus infection, and only remember feeling much better in a short time. Since I was already miserable, I don't remember having any adverse reactions. Recently, I got a 7-day dose for another sinus infection and an ear infection, and I felt good on days 3 and 4 with only mild nausea and dizziness. Taking it on a full stomach helped. I started to feel poor on day 5 and developed a terrible headache that lasted 2 days. By day 7, I developed severe fatigue, muscle, tendon, and joint pain. I agree with other reviews, in that this is a very effective medicine, but the side effects can be severe. I am glad to hear that these go away in a few days."

Moxifloxacin for Pneumonia "This is an amazing medicine. By day 2, I was feeling significantly well. Notwithstanding, the side effects of the medication for me personally are not comfortable: sore kidneys in the morning, stomach upset, intestinal discomfort, headaches, and muscle soreness. However, I realize that it's really important to finish my dosage (7-day supply), and I'm on day 4. This feels like a powerful antibiotic in my system, and I'm aware that it is effective against resistant gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial infections. 3 more days... yay."

For Bacterial Infection "I took a 7-day cycle of moxifloxacin for an infection and had the worst side effects: extremely dizzy, agitated, tingling hands, tensed fingers, confused, severe panic attacks, depression, headaches, and just all around in a fog. I’ve been off the medication for a week, and I’m still experiencing these side effects. It’s horrible!"

Moxifloxacin for Bacterial Infection "My second time taking Avelox for pneumonia. The benefits outweigh the side effects. I had most of the side effects associated with this medication: feeling extremely weak and tired, anxious, fast heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, headache. However, it cleared up my pneumonia."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "I know everybody's body is different and reacts differently to medications, but after the second dose, I was tingly all over, had a headache, severe anxiety, muscle aches, weakness, tiredness, dry mouth, and impulsiveness. Just be careful!"

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "The medicine worked great to counter my sinusitis, and I was breathing better after just one dose. But the side effects are almost unbearable: nausea, dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, dry mouth, and constipation. The dizziness and lightheadedness kick in after about an hour of taking the pill and last for about 5 hours. Very difficult to function normally and trying to work while taking this medicine."

Moxifloxacin for Pneumonia "The first two days of taking Avelox were the worst for me; terrible headache and weakness. On the third day, the headache was not as severe. I ended up having an upset stomach for the entire ten days. However, I can breathe better, but I did look forward to taking that last pill."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "Numb hands for an hour, severe headache, blurry vision, rash on my arms. And this was with my first dosage. Doctor didn't even ask to see what previous antibiotics worked for me in the past. He just gave me Avelox and prednisone and said, 'On your way.'"

Moxifloxacin for Pneumonia "I'm on my 11th day (out of 20 days) taking Avelox, and it works. Besides having a headache and shortness of breath, everything seems to be working great. After 10 days of taking it, my pneumonia was 75% better."

For Bacterial Infection "An ENT prescribed me Moxiget 400 mg (Moxifloxacin) after I got a sore throat and fever. This medicine started giving me stomach cramps the moment I took the very first tablet. It also caused severe headaches, dizziness, gas formation, nausea, and loss of appetite. Although my mother and I only took it for 5 days, it caused these similar reactions in both of us. This is the most pathetic medicine ever."

For Bacterial Infection "I was prescribed this medication plus Cipro for a mild case of diverticulitis. Both are very heavy-duty drugs. After my third dose, I had a headache, nausea, I vomited, I was dizzy, and I couldn't hold down so much as a bite of toast, though I was supposed to start eating something after 24 hours of a liquid diet. The side effects of this medication are far worse than the condition for which I was being treated. Always question when you are being prescribed two powerful antibiotics."

For Bacterial Infection "Been taking it for 7 days of the full 21. First few days, vicious diarrhea and headache. No stomach problems. Muscles hurt anyways. Had cancer treatment over a year ago, left with severe anal inflammation and anal ulcer. No results yet... still waiting and hoping!!"
