Moxifloxacin for Bacterial Infection "First of all, I'm so saddened by so many horrified stories on this blog. My heart goes out to you all. I am on day 9 with Avelox. My doctor prescribed other medicines for this bacterial infection and bad cough that I have had for three months now. The first 2 days were horrible for me on Avelox. I was throwing up all night, heart beating fast, severe itching. By day 3, I felt great and my side effects now are not as bad, minor itching now. But I must say this medicine does work for me. It also has cleared up my skin on my face and I had blisters on my hand, big ones that also have cleared up. So I'm going to do a refill on this and continue this medicine for another 10 days. Good luck to all that had a bad experience with this medicine."

Moxifloxacin for Bacterial Infection "I did get a bit dizzy, so I would take this at bedtime, and did at first get a faster heartbeat, but may have been because I read all the crazy side effects online. This medicine did work for me. Had an awful case of tonsillitis. Be sure to read the package and how other meds (even vitamins) you may be taking can alter the effects and increase chances of side effects."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "I took a second pill and had a severe reaction to it in less than 25 minutes. It started with nausea, hives, extremely dizzy and lightheaded, slurred speech, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat and rise in blood pressure and heart rate, severe anxiety and weakness."

Moxifloxacin for Sinusitis "I had a severe allergic reaction within 1 1/2 hours of taking my first dose. Pounding heartbeat, redness, and fainted for the first time in 57 years of life. I was rushed to the hospital and given steroids and Benadryl to counteract the effects. My blood pressure dropped from a normal 135/80 to 90/45."

After feeling miserable for 2 weeks, my doctor then prescribed Avelox. Besides the jitteriness, rapid heart rate, and anxiousness, it worked wonders. For Bacterial Infection "I’m on day 3. Feeling extremely anxious, multiple panic attacks, diarrhea, fatigue, lightheadedness, some back aches, fast heartbeat. I’ll continue with it as these symptoms seem to come and go alongside the anxiety. The problem is I have no way of contacting a doctor for the next few days, so I kind of just have to push through."

For Bacterial Infection "Had a flu and then resulting bronchitis, laryngitis, and 2 ear infections. Was a total mess. Doc gave me these pills, and felt a little better the next day, and it's day 3 and improving lots. I did have some rapid heart rate (not too serious) and lack of sleep/appetite. Then again, that might be from the flu on the tail end. So happy I am feeling better."

For Sinusitis "My doctor prescribed me this medication because after a different round of antibiotics I still was not feeling better. I took 1 dose of this drug at 6 pm and within an hour my legs and arms were numb. I felt like I was having panic attacks with my heart racing, plus I was unable to sleep. It lasted for about 15 hours. During the morning after through about early afternoon, I was still feeling very anxious but completely exhausted from not sleeping, and I was in a complete fog. All I kept thinking to myself is when are these side effects going to end! I am not even thinking about taking the 2nd pill! Do not take this medication! The side effects are very dangerous!"

For Bacterial Infection "Day one of this medication was okay. Day two of this medication, after four hours of taking it, I started feeling like I wasn't getting enough oxygen in my head, then followed by a rapid heartbeat, which ranged between 104 and 115. But I feel a slight change in my breathing. Before the third dose, I am going to call the doctor and alert him of these effects."

Moxifloxacin for Bronchitis "This antibiotic made my heart race so much that I didn't sleep the first night. Called my doctor the next day, and he changed the medicine because that side effect wasn't one that I could live with."
