For Muscle Spasm "Dr. wants me to switch from Percocet to metaxalone for my herniated and stenosis of cervical nerves. It doesn't help with the pain in my neck or arms. It also makes me dizzy, headachy, and I get an upset stomach."

For Muscle Spasm "Unfortunately, Flexeril did nothing to relax stiff muscles from chronic spinal stenosis nor fibromyalgia. Side effects of nausea, headache, and unpleasant confusion and general dysphoria. Nowhere near as effective as benzodiazepines."

Metaxalone for Muscle Spasm "Skelaxin seems to be great. I have taken it for about 3 days (800 mg prescribed 3 times daily). I have even taken it on an empty stomach (bold move) and walked through a grocery store. It worked great. I was not 'foggy' or feeling drunk. I have taken it at work and have not noticed any adverse side effects except for a slight headache. Nothing good is without some trade-off. I recommend this for those who need daytime/night-time pain relief and do not want to feel 'doped up' like other muscle relaxers can do."
