For Birth Control "I have been on Kyleena now for a year after being on Depo-Provera for 5 years. I have extremely painful periods, and I stayed on Depo because I was scared of the pain coming back (despite my horrible depression, weight gain, and acne). I made the switch to this IUD, and the only bad experience so far was insertion. My doctor suggested prescribing a pain reliever for before the appointment, but I was dumb and didn’t accept it. Ask your doctor for pain pills for those first couple of days, and enjoy your pain-free uterus! I also have lost almost 20 lbs of Depo-Provera weight as well! Not every experience is negative."

For Emergency Contraception "I just want to ease everyone’s minds that have taken the Plan B while ovulating. I took the Plan B pill and took an ovulation test, and it showed 2 lines on it. So yes, I was ovulating. If you would Google it, it says it does NOT work while ovulating. It did work for me while ovulating, and the condom broke once after he finished, and then the next day he decided not to wear one. So girls, just give it some time to let the medicine do its thing. I ended up feeling some really bad PMS symptoms, though. I felt dizzy, hot flashes, fatigued, tired even if you did absolutely nothing, and some mild cramps. I experienced no breakthrough bleeding or any spotting. My period came only 1 day later than it should have. But while writing this on my period, I am super tired, have a headache, and I’m cramping in the front and on my lower back. This is the worst period I’ve had, but I’d rate a bad period over a baby for right now."

For Emergency Contraception "I promised myself I would write a review on here because these comments really calmed my nerves over the last week. So I had lost my virginity on May 25th around 9 pm. He did pull out, but I was still worried about precum because he did not wear a condom, so I went and got a Plan B and took it within 19 hours. I was supposed to start my period 2 days after I had intercourse. After a week of anxiety and waiting, I finally got my period today a week late! I did not have many symptoms other than mild cramping and some back pain as well. I also had some white discharge during that whole week. Take the pill as soon as you can! Take some deep breaths and pray. Everything will be okay. Good luck, ladies!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Mirena gave me my life back. It’s not perfect, but I gave it time, and it has been good for me. I tried controlling my endometriosis with oral contraceptives, with nasty side effects and little success. I was really scared to try the Mirena IUD because it’s invasive, and I was so tired of side effects, but I had few options left. I spotted a lot for 3 months with some cramping, but now, at the 6-month mark, I have very little bleeding and hence very little pain. This is a huge improvement. In terms of side effects, my skin isn’t great, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make. Without this IUD, I would have no quality of life."

For Emergency Contraception "Promised myself I would come back on here to ease the minds of many, as this was the only site that eased mine. Had totally unprotected sex on January 31, 2022, my husband fully came in me. I am not on any form of birth control. Checked my Flo app and was completely in my ovulation timeframe. Confirmed with white stretchy cervical mucus I was as fertile as I could be. Took Plan B less than 12 hours after and researched and panicked for the next 2 weeks. Stay off Google, it will make you sick with worry. Took 2 negative pregnancy tests on 2/11 and 2/15 and just started my period this morning, 2/17/22. Stay off other sites and trust these real stories. And yes, I had every “pregnancy symptom” in the book: tender breasts, nausea, slight cramping. The hormones from the pill can cause these symptoms too. Hope this calms someone down!"

For Emergency Contraception "Two days after my period ended, the condom broke during sex. I took the pill close to two hours afterwards and got cramps later that night. It has been exactly a week since my period ended and I just received my monthly after a long night of cramps. Weird, since I just had my period. I can't complain about the side effects because I would take cramps over labor pains any day. I am a college student and I am so relieved that I am not pregnant."

For Emergency Contraception "This pill definitely works!! I know you girlies are over here stressing as I was too! So I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend because the condom broke and he came in me fully! At this point, I was 13 days after my period and well into my fertile time! Freaking out because everyone says the pill doesn’t work if you’re ovulating or after ovulation. Not true! This is evident because I got my period today 3 days early, and it’s heavy and everything!! So happy!! And on top of that, I barely had any side effects, just sore boobs a couple of days before the period and my usual cramps! So girls, don’t worry!! You’ll be okay!! There’s a reason why this pill is so damn expensive because it works! Good luck!"

For Emergency Contraception "Ahhh. So on Sept. 29, my boyfriend came in me during sex. (I’m not on birth control.) So later that night, I got a Take Action from Walgreens. This was about 10 hours after the incident, and I took it immediately. This was also 13 days before my period, so I think that means I was fertile? Anyways, it’s been 2 weeks, and I still feel nausea, I have mood swings, worst cramps ever, changes in bowel movements, and just waiting for some sort of blood. My period is supposed to start around the 10th of every month, and I’m pretty sure my period is starting, but it’s a day late. I’ve taken several pregnancy tests every morning when I wake up, and they have all been negative, and it’s been 15 days now. I will add to this if anything else happens, but so far I think it worked?! Side effects are brutal though."

"It worked! Had sex without protection. He didn’t cum in me, but we went for a second round. I got super nervous because I soon found out that I was ovulating on that day (according to my period tracker). Took Plan B within a couple of hours. About five days after taking the pill, I got some minor cramps on the right side, and then it moved to the middle. My cramps went from minor to a little worse and then completely stopped after 4 days. Once it stopped, I got lots of discharge (cloudy white, lotiony) for two days. I got my period 12 days after taking the pill (3 days earlier than when I was supposed to expect my period). Don’t worry! I know it’s easier said than done, but I stressed so much for no reason. Do not stress until there really is something to stress about. Trust me, everything will be okay."

For Emergency Contraception "Just like everyone else in the comments, I promised that I would post a review if this worked for me, and let me tell you, this did the job! I had unprotected sex with someone and took Plan B 3 hours after it. I definitely experienced symptoms from Plan B. It made me extremely depressed for a couple of days, I got cramps and had an acne breakout. While having these symptoms, I was also stressing myself out thinking it wouldn’t work, and I would come on here and read some of these reviews, and it would calm me down. Well, 7 days after I took the pill, I started bleeding lightly, and then it got heavier. This lasted for a whole week. Needless to say, I also got my period for the month of August, and I’m so happy! This worked for me, so I give it a 10/10!"

For Emergency Contraception "Yesterday, my boyfriend had unprotected sex, we did two rounds with a 3-hour gap between the rounds. After the second round, like 15 mins later, I took a Plan B, and call me crazy, but the minute he came inside, I just felt it in my soul that I was gonna be pregnant. I've been having side effects of the pill such as nausea, constipation, tiredness, cramps, and pains. I'll be back in 3 weeks to update you all."

For Emergency Contraception "My girlfriend took this about an hour after sex (Condom Broke), but it was during her time of ovulation (the 14th day of the cycle). So as I'm sure a bunch of you are freaking out about what others say about it on the internet, but it does work. She was very moody and experienced some cramps the day before she got it. She got her period about 3 days early (yesterday) and we couldn't have been more relieved. I asked a lot of people about the pill and they told me that I shouldn't worry, but I did. And in the end I shouldn't have stressed out about it. So I'm so happy about the effectiveness of this pill and the fact that she is not pregnant."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex during the ovulation period. I was so paranoid that I decided to take Plan B. I took Plan B like 30 hours later. Well, let me tell you, let this be your last resort. I experienced so many pregnancy symptoms throughout this whole ordeal, I was freaking out so bad until my period came. I felt very sick. I had sore breasts, headaches, fatigue, horrible cramping, and the worst diarrhea. I felt depressed after taking this. The hormones are crazy and will make you feel insane. Not everyone has the same side effects though, so maybe it will be different for you."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex one night, realizing the next day that a condom was not in the picture. After lightly freaking out, I went to buy the Plan B pill. I've taken it once before, almost 3 years ago, before it was on the shelf. When I took it this time, I had some very noticeable side effects: cramping, stomach pain, tiredness, dizziness, nausea, lack of appetite, but I would go through all of it again if it meant no kids. This pill works, and I would recommend it to anyone."

For Emergency Contraception "Trust the pill!! I literally took it around 4 hours after the condom slipped and he came inside. This was a day before my ovulation. The next three days, I had very light pink spotting, and I thought this was ovulation spotting, as I always spot during ovulation, and I freaked out! After a few days, the worst cramps started. Backaches, abdominal pain, dizziness, and my boobs were SORE!! Experienced every single pregnancy symptom for three whole weeks!! The cramps were persistent, and I panicked so, so much! But my period came RIGHT ON TIME!! I’m so, so thankful and happy that it worked! Please don’t make the mistake of searching the internet, it will make you go crazy! Calm down and trust the pill, it works!!"

For Birth Control "I am VERY pleasantly surprised at my Skyla IUD experience. I'm a small woman (5' 100 lbs) & previously partially expelled a Paragard IUD due to the small size of my uterus. I always wanted to avoid ANY sort of hormonal BC out of fear of side effects. When the Paragard was taken out, I decided to take a chance on Skyla (smallest IUD size, lowest hormone dosage). My next form of BC was going to be FAM, that's how much I wanted to avoid hormones. Well, after insertion (which felt awful, but that's not surprising), I've been GREAT. I felt virtually no cramps post-insertion. I've had zero hair loss, acne, or mood swings whatsoever (and trust me, I've been paying close attention). My first period post-Skyla was normal but with ~2 weeks of light brown spotting afterwards. I'm guessing this will diminish with time since the uterine lining will continue to thin. A recent ultrasound confirmed everything looks great. If things stay the way they are, I'd happily get another Skyla in 3 years. Yay!"

For Emergency Contraception "Listen up, beautiful ladies. I know you are reading reviews and about to lose your mind. I will be as detailed as possible to ease your mind. I had a period on 11/4. I had an accident with my boyfriend, and he ended up coming fully inside me smack in my fertilization window. I took this pill within the initial 24-hour window (about 18 hours). For almost two weeks, I FELT PREGNANT. My boobs grew and were in an immense amount of pain. I'm talking couldn't bear to wear a bra. I had cramps. It has been the most stressful time of my life. One and a half weeks after I took the pill, I started my period and felt a huge hormone drop. This pill worked. But I have never felt so terrible in my life. Be careful, lovies."

For Emergency Contraception "Okay, so I also said I was going to write a review if everything went well! I had sex on April 18th around 8 a.m., not to mention my period ended on the 15th of that month. The condom slipped off, so we weren’t sure if cum got inside of me. That day, I got the Take Action pill and took it at 11:45 p.m. I started spotting on the 25th until the 27th, it was slimy, and I had a bunch of clots. I was kinda scared because I started to Google stuff up, and it was a sign of pregnancy, so please don’t Google stuff! I had cramps, and I would get disgusted after I ate most of the time. Also, sometimes headaches. I also started to get really watery discharge. My period was 18 days late! I took a bunch of pregnancy tests from Clear Blue and 1st Response, so I wasn’t sure if the tests were just wrong, I was so paranoid. My period came on May 28th and ended on June 2nd. I also don’t recommend this pill. I've taken Plan B, and it never did this to me, making my period so late!"

For Birth Control "Had my Mirena inserted about 2 weeks ago. I am 22 and haven't had any kids. I wanted an alternative to the pill as I've been on it for 6 years. I have to say that I was pretty nervous after reading so many bad comments. I was on the 3rd day of my period and, for me, the insertion hurt like a couple of pinches and a really bad cramp that gave me all hot and made me nauseous. But it only took about 10 minutes, and then it was okay. The rest of the day I had fairly strong cramps but nothing unbearable. The next day I felt back to normal. My period lasted another couple of days and stopped like normal. Since then, I have had very minor spotting with an odd little cramp here and there. Very happy so far."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had Mirena placed a couple of weeks ago for major Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding, with moderate Endometrial Hyperplasia (14mm), and Iron Deficiency Anemia with megaloblasts. I was bleeding for 3 months straight. I was soaking through Ultra absorbency tampons every hour the week of getting the Mirena. I had it placed on a Wednesday, and by Friday, my bleeding had almost completely stopped. I have not had any spotting since. The insertion felt like a quick cramp and a fluttery feeling as the Mirena was being placed, not painful. I was very uncomfortably crampy that evening. But so far, moods are good, energy is coming back. My normal headaches are gone. I probably won't need a blood transfusion. I am liking this Mirena!"

For Birth Control "I chose Kyleena because I wanted an extremely effective, low-maintenance, long-lasting, and hormone-low form of birth control. So far, my experience has been incredible. While the insertion was uncomfortable, I took ample pain meds and drank plenty of water, which really helped. The only pain I have experienced is abnormal and unpredictable cramping and some headaches. I have barely bled, but there has been a lot of discharge. I have not gotten any acne-the hormones have seemed to help my skin! I have had some bloating, but nothing too extreme. I gained maybe a pound, if any weight at all. Neither my partner nor I have felt the IUD during sex. I am still experiencing a very, very light period. Overall, I am very happy with my choice and encourage anyone who is considering Kyleena to get it."

For Emergency Contraception "IT WORKS! I took it one hour after the condom broke and had my period 5 days later! If you take it sooner than 24 hours, you're absolutely guaranteed that it'll work! So stop worrying. You may have more discomfort than normal, but actually, I had no cramps at all and no aching! I always had them for the first two days. Lucky me! Ladies, it works."

For Birth Control "I had the Liletta IUD inserted to replace using birth control pills. It is amazing! I am 22 (no kids) and have seen absolutely no change in my weight, mood, acne, or sex drive. Don’t let these negative reviews scare you away, people often write about negative experiences, and everyone having a good experience doesn't think about doing a review. Insertion was painful for 30 seconds and then mild cramping for about 2 hours, but it has been so worth it! I had sex the next day, and my boyfriend and I did not notice the string at all. It is a huge benefit to not use a condom or have to worry about any accidents happening. The only negative would be my one period lasting 2 weeks, but the second week was really light. I haven’t had a period since. Highly recommend Liletta!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've had the Mirena for about 3 1/2 years. At first, I experienced bleeding for about 4-6 months with only a few days of not bleeding in between (like some have said). I got it inserted after I gave birth to my son. After those first months of bleeding passed, my periods became light and only lasted a few days. I love this because before I was a heavy, heavy bleeder! But recently, I've noticed way more acne, along with bleeding (spotting) every 2 weeks. Now all of a sudden, I had a heavy period again along with cramps and the same old stuff! I'm kinda scared because it has always worked extremely well for me! I wonder if all this is because it's getting closer to the 5-year mark! Can anyone relate?"

For Emergency Contraception "I want to share my experience because I know if you’re reading reviews, you’re probably obsessing and stressing yourself out. I know that I did! Anyway, had protected sex to completion on day 10 of my cycle. When he pulled out, we realized the condom broke. I was days away from ovulation day. My cycle is very regular, and I also track it on an app. I freaked out and went and purchased Plan B and took it about 30 minutes after the sex. So, if you Google, you get all this information and stories and reviews of people getting pregnant when they were set to ovulate. My advice is not to read any of them!! The side effects I experienced were some mild cramping the first day, and then for about two weeks, my mental state deteriorated. Like it was awful. About four days before my period was due, I started spotting brown and had some cramping. Today, my period started one day early. It is a little bit heavier than I’m used to, but overall, things are normal and I’m not pregnant!!!"
