For Emergency Contraception "I had sex the day after my period ended, and just my luck, the condom broke! I took this pill within 6 hours, and a week later I bled for 3 days straight, which was awful, and then it went away. I was super nervous ALL MONTH. Took a pregnancy test and everything. Negative, but try telling that to a scared girl! However, my period came on time this month, and the cramps are horrible! But the pill did its job. Relax, girl. You'll be okay. And stop reading these reviews! You're freaking yourself out. YOU WILL BE OKAY."

For Emergency Contraception "I am so thankful I am not pregnant and it did the job, but this pill seriously messed up my cycle and had me so anxious for about two months. I wasn’t due to get my period for another two weeks at the time I took the pill. Six days later, I started bleeding, and it lasted about four days. The first two days it was maybe enough to fill tampons, but the other days it was very light, like only there when I wiped. Fast forward to when my period was scheduled to come - still no period. I ended up getting my period ten days late, but I could have sworn I was pregnant. I had been having creamy white discharge for about two weeks and had been feeling bloated with cramps and headaches - this NEVER happens to me! My period is here now, but it’s significantly lighter than it normally is. I have taken Plan B once before in the past, and I never had any problems at all. Ladies, please spend the extra $10, or even better, get on regular birth control! Also, stay off Google to stay sane."

"Kyleena is the BEST THING I EVER DID!! There are a ton of bad reviews but don’t let them scare you. I was on the pill for three years but they made me depressed, I gained weight, I’d get migraines, they made my acne worse AND my periods were TERRIBLE!! When I’d get my period before I had Kyleena, I would bleed for 7-10 days and it would be excruciating for the first 4 days. I wouldn’t be able to even move! So I switched to Kyleena. The migraines went away, after the first month, my skin cleared up, I lost weight, my mood was better and my first period was miraculous. I literally was only in pain for an hour. Period lasted about three days, was super light, and the weirdest part is is that even though I was still bleeding, THERE WAS NO PAIN!!! The procedure hurt a little but not quite as bad as I expected. I was not lightheaded, I felt totally fine, and the light cramps only lasted about a week. I’m so thrilled I finally found the perfect birth control. Sex is also wayyy better!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex on my ovulation day (according to Flo app). My boyfriend pulled out, but we went for round two without cleaning up, so I decided to take the pill the next morning just to be safe. Five days after, I began to bleed lightly for three days. After the second week, I got hit with ALL of the symptoms. I had mild cramping, nausea, fatigue, sore nipples, and I broke out HORRIBLY. I took a pregnancy test 7 days after my missed period, it was negative. The next day I got my period (8 days late). Very heavy and bad cramping. I read pages of the reviews panicking about if the pill would work or not on ovulation, but it did for me, so just relax."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex and he claims that he didn’t cum, but the way he was moaning throughout our time together made me a bit nervous! I know that the chances of getting pregnant from pre-cum are slim to nothing, so I wasn’t too worried. However, the next morning when I realized that I had been ovulating according to my period tracker, I ran to the store and got Plan B! I took it 16 hours after the deed was done. A week before my expected period, I experienced lots of nausea, cramping, and fatigue but no period. Fast forward to when my period was 1 day late and I started freaking out. All the stress made me 4 days late, yet extremely grateful to not be pregnant."

For Emergency Contraception "You’re probably scrolling right now super anxious and stressed, so I say calm down and let the pill work its magic. I’m certain it was on ovulation day, the condom broke, he said he did a risky pull out but I honestly don’t trust the pulling out method at all!!! Lol I just don’t trust anyone enough to beat biology like that, and I don’t even want to think about children till I’m 30. I dragged him to immediately buy me Plan B afterwards (about 20 minutes later) and took it in the parking lot. About 5 days later, I started to get super bloated, loss of appetite, crazy mood swings, nausea, tender breasts, and a rise in temperature. Another 4 days and cramping arrived, I saw spotting (like literal red dots) on the 4th day, and that definitely made me panic, but the next day I saw clots and regular flow. Symptoms were awful, but it did its job, and that’s all that matters."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex last month on the 26th at 12 AM and according to my period app I was ovulating. I should’ve told him I wasn’t on birth control. The same day he brought me Plan B, and I took it right away. I was really anxious. I had a few symptoms. The first day it made me really sleepy. A week after I took it, the symptoms continued. I had mild cramps, felt bloated, and had mood swings. The waiting game was hard, seeing if my period was going to show up on time. Now today, my period started a day early, I was supposed to get my period on June 8th. I've never been so happy to see blood! I’ve seen a lot of people say the pill won’t work if you’re ovulating but that’s not true, so don't stress yourself out, the pill will work."

For Emergency Contraception "I told myself I would share my experience if it worked because these reviews were the only thing keeping me sane. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 14th, which was when I was ovulating. Keep in mind I’m not on any birth control, nor did we use a condom. I know, dumb. We bought a Plan B, and I took it an hour after we finished. For two weeks, I was a mess. Especially when I found out it doesn't work during ovulation. I had extreme nausea, my boobs hurt, I had chills, lower back pain, bloating. I was convinced I was pregnant. But I got my period today, a day late. It’s heavier than usual, and the cramps are unbearable, but now I can relax. So please, for the girl reading this, take a deep breath. This pill really works."

For Birth Control "I have seen a ton of 10-star reviews from girls who made the review a week after getting it inserted. Please give it more time until you leave a review because the side effects come in the long term. I had the Kyleena for 2 years, and at first, I convinced myself I loved it, but I was so wrong. The insertion was god-awful and inhumane. After insertion, I had my period for 90 days straight. A few months went by, and I loved the IUD, but then the real side effects started coming. I became extremely irritable, had terrible mood swings, and had suicidal thoughts. I became depressed, had horrible insomnia, had trouble concentrating, and really bad brain fog. I gained a lot of weight despite eating the same amount, and my boobs grew 2 sizes, and when I got the IUD, they deflated, and now look horrible. I got an ovarian cyst, had bacterial vaginosis, uterine spasms, and cramps so bad I would scream. The doctor cut my strings too short, so I had to pay $3000 out of pocket to get it surgically removed."

For Emergency Contraception "I am a teen, and if you are one too, you might want to read this if you're stressing and want to know how this works. I had sex with my boyfriend, he came in me with no condom. We bought Aftera about 1 hour later. My boobs were sore for about two weeks, it first started the day after I had taken the pill. The pain may get really bad, but just breathe and relax, it's a side effect. I got cramps here and there, but it would feel like a little kick to my stomach. Then I had spotting for one day. I thought I was pregnant because of the dark color, but that is also a side effect. Just breathe and let the pill do its work. Plan B and Aftera are the same thing, same ingredients. Don't dig through every website trying to see if you're pregnant or not, it's okay."

For Emergency Contraception "Okay, I promised myself that I would do a review once I started my period to calm some of you ladies who are freaking right now. I took the pill probably about 45 minutes after unprotected sex. A week later I started spotting, so of course, I was freaking out thinking it wasn’t my period. It was very light spotting, but my cramps were AWFUL! I was shaking, they were so bad. The bleeding lasted 5 days, so I was hoping it was my period. A few days later, I experienced every pregnancy symptom in the book.. headaches, nausea, exhaustion, sore boobs/nipples, weight gain, cravings. You name it! It felt like the most stressful few months of my life.. this month I was 6 days late on my period and FINALLY started! This pill does have side effects for some people! Not all.. but! If you take it before 72 hours, I promise it works! You’ll be okay, I promise.❤️"

For Emergency Contraception "Honestly, reading these reviews really helped me get through it so I promised myself I would write one too. I am 19, and it was probably the day after my period ended, around Nov 4th. My boyfriend and I were having unprotected sex, and he came in me. I didn't take the pill until 2 days later. I had every symptom. DO NOT GOOGLE ANYTHING, you will convince yourself you are pregnant like I did. Just remember, even though the symptoms are the same, they wouldn't show up so early. It's just a side effect of the pill. I was nauseous, cramping, had weird discharge, and about 4 or 5 days later, I had light spotting that I thought was implantation bleeding. My period was late, and at the same time, I started throwing up, I thought it was morning sickness. Two weeks after my missed period, I took a pregnancy test because they are most accurate 7+ days after your normal period, and it was negative. I was SO RELIEVED. Just now, almost 3 1/2 weeks later, I got my period. Just relax and don't think about it the pill definitely works."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex and I took the pill 30 hours later. I felt a bit drowsy within the first few hours, however, over the next two weeks, I experienced cramping. The cramps were really bad. 10 days after taking the pill, my breasts completely swelled. My nipples were always hard, and the pain was unbearable. I was convinced I was pregnant. The cramps continued, and I was experiencing back pain. Then the pain in my breasts finally began to subside, and I got my period the next day, exactly when I was supposed to. It was a little bit heavier than usual, but I've never been happier to be on my period. The pill messes up your body due to an increase in hormones. I've read it makes you feel exactly as pregnant women do, so don't panic over the symptoms!"

For Emergency Contraception "DO NOT STRESS!!!! So, I took Plan B after the condom broke during sex, one day after my period (day 6 of my cycle). I took the pill about an hour after. Sometimes my period comes on day 21, so I wanted to be safe just in case I ovulated early. About 5 days after I took the pill, I started spotting (but kinda heavily) a dark brown color. That progressed into a decent amount of blood, enough to warrant a tampon. The bleeding lasted for about 3 days, but wasn't super heavy. I also had cramps for about an hour, but they were very light. I've taken Plan B twice before, and only had light bleeding one of those times. Some time passes, to about a week and a half before my period is supposed to come. I start feeling pain in my lower back, very light. I'm getting bored of writing this, to be honest, but I just got my period on day 31 of my cycle. DON'T STRESS!!!"

For Birth Control "First off, I was 25 and childless. I had tried the pill, but I am a poor, forgetful soul, and that was unacceptable. The patch left an icky mark that hurt my skin. I am married, so we are beyond condoms. My Mirena insertion, a year and a half ago, was somewhat painful, so I took a nap. I had some cramps for the first two weeks, probably due to getting used to the hormones in the IUS. My first cycle afterward, the blood seemed thin and only lasted a few days. I have not had a period since. I really like Mirena because it's easy and I don't have to think about it. My sex drive is still great, and I don't have to pay every month for birth control. I just wanted to explain all of the side effects I experienced so others could be informed."

For Emergency Contraception "I took this approximately 48 hours after unprotected sex while I was ovulating. I felt fine after taking the pill. A few days before my period was due, I experienced major mood swings, bloating, cramps, and sore breasts. These symptoms lasted for the few days before I was due, and then the symptoms stopped on the actual day I was due. But no period. Needless to say, I was freaking out! (This is why I am writing this to help others from freaking) -- I was supposed to start on a Friday. Then Saturday rolls around, then Sunday and no period... Just really, really sore breasts on Sunday. That Monday evening, I finally started and had breast tenderness, cramps, headache, tiredness... But at least I started - 3 (longest days of my life) days late."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had the Mirena IUD inserted on Feb 4th. It took 5 mins to insert, and they used an ultrasound machine to ensure it was done correctly. I have an extremely high pain tolerance, but must say the insertion was probably the worst 5 mins of my entire life. The pain was ridiculous! After that, I had mild cramping for 24 hrs and light brown bleeding for 3 days. On the 4th day out of nowhere, I felt sick to my stomach and had horrible cramping pains. Lasted for 30 minutes. I was almost in tears, but it subsided with 800 mg of Advil and a hot water bottle. My period was supposed to start on Feb 14th, but I had brown spotting 3 days prior and am still menstruating! It's been 11 days straight; it's light but enough to need a panty liner or tampon. I'm exhausted, cranky, and frustrated. My next doctor appointment is on Mar 7th to check that the IUD is still in the same position. I'm thinking if I bleed all of March, I'm getting this thing taken out. I had no idea I'd bleed for this many days in a row."

For Emergency Contraception "I want to share my experience with this drug. I had sex on ovulation day (day 13 of cycle) but the condom broke and he finished inside me. I panicked because I was not using any regular contraceptive pill, IUD, or anything, and coming from a religious family, getting pregnant without marriage would be a disaster! So I took Plan B after 1 hour. I had mild cramps and a headache only after a few hours... then I developed panic attacks, but it could be from me being so anxious. Days after, my breasts were swollen, and I was very moody. I also had a mild headache. On day 18, I had major panic disorders, became very moody, and had crying spells. My breasts became sensitive and hurt a little. Of course, I went through depression thinking of what might happen if I got pregnant. However, I started having PMS like usual. On day 26, I had my period :)))))) Ladies, believe in this pill. It works. I know it causes a lot of anxiety, and this is normal. It's effective even after ovulation. Relax and let the pill do the job."

For Birth Control "The Mirena seemed like a great option for me as I had negative experiences with other forms of birth control. Insertion was fine but I had severe cramping for a few days after. My moods were up and down for the first few months, and I wanted to have it removed, but my doctor recommended trying it for 6 months. It has now been 6 months, and my mental health is the worst it has ever been. I'm constantly on the verge of tears and cannot cope with everyday life. I have a history of anxiety but I've never felt this low. I would not recommend the Mirena if you are sensitive to other birth controls (pill, implanon). I still have bad cramps on the Mirena, and my periods are heavier. Can't wait to have it removed!"

For Birth Control "I got Liletta about 3 years ago. Very painful insertion but pain went away about 1 hour later. My next two periods were unbearable. Like I thought an ovary was exploding and I couldn't walk or breathe. I have been having pain on and off every week that is similar to endometriosis pains with light bleeding. I have PCOS and I told the doctor and they said it would be fine, but I'm starting to wonder about it. I have no sex drive, feel tired all the time, and have a mental fog that I specifically remembered starting around the time of my insertion. I also gained about 15 pounds. The cramps radiate out from my ovaries to my back and down my thighs. My doctor keeps telling me it's normal... I want to get it removed as soon as possible."

For Emergency Contraception "My experience with Plan B has been stressful, to be truly honest. I have used this pill more than 5 times in my life. This year I used it like 3 weeks ago just to be cautious because I was not ovulating, but I was 5 days away from ovulating. I took the pill after 42 hours, and the side effects are awful. I have nausea, I feel tired, I have mild cramps, and worst of all, EXTREMELY SENSITIVE BREASTS! That got me thinking for the past 3 weeks that I might be pregnant, but my period has not arrived yet. I took a pregnancy test, and the results are negative. I know that my period will eventually show up because it isn't the first time I have experienced this. Last time I had very few side effects, and my period arrived 2 months late, so I guess this time it will also take a while, but this pill messes up your body big time."

For Birth Control "I have had the Mirena in for nearly 2 years. It was okay for the first few months, odd cramp here and there. 6 months after insertion, I got my first (of many) bacterial infections. Cramps, pain during sex, brown smelly discharge. It always cleared up with flagyl and cream. I can’t even count how many I have had since then. It’s awful. I have 0 sex drive which makes my partner and me feel awful. Every time I get spotting, it always puts fear in me that it could be something more sinister, which escalates my anxiety. I have made an appointment to get it removed, as I can't live like this anymore."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex and he fully ejaculated inside of me during my 'most fertile day' on Flo, my ovulation app. I took it about 8 hours later. I had a week of heavy bleeding, cramps, basically a period. It was just withdrawal bleeding. Like many women, I was petrified that I was not safe because I had already ovulated. After I found out the bleeding was withdrawal bleeding, I thought I could be pregnant for sure. I was already pregnant once 3 months ago and I had an abortion. It was horrible. I never ever want to go through that again, but I thought I might have to. I had light bleeding and brown blood for days, pain that felt like implantation bleeding (which I have felt before), and other early pregnancy symptoms. My period came 2 days late. This drug works even if you are ovulating. The symptoms are so torturous, however, and you can feel like you are insane. But it does the job. You're not pregnant, girl. Be grateful!"
