For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B on February 9, an hour or two after the deed was done - no protection, and he came inside. I was scheduled to ovulate on February 15. I spotted exactly 1 week later, lasted around 2 days, and it was a dark brown color. I felt completely normal 2 weeks after I took Plan B. After that, I started to feel extremely emotional and anxious. My scheduled period day (March 2nd) came by, and she didn’t show up, I have NEVER been late. Pregnancy tests were negative, thankfully. 11 days late, I started feeling some pre-period cramps. I was hopeful, these came and went for 5 days. It took a total of 16 DAYS for my period to finally come through. The pill did its purpose. I would take it again, but believe me, I learned my lesson. For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex 2 days before ovulation. He came inside of me so I freaked. 16 hrs later I went to Walgreens &amp, they were out of Plan B, so I resorted to Take Action. It was my first time taking it. I read awful reviews, so I was terrified. 3 days in, I felt nauseous. 4-7 days after taking it, I felt nauseous, incredibly tired, had mood swings, and an increased appetite. Day 8, I experienced extreme boob tenderness &amp, severe back pain/cramping. I looked up symptoms &amp, they all pointed to early pregnancy, so I freaked out. Day 9, I still had boob tenderness, and when I went to the bathroom, I saw pink discharge (another early pregnancy symptom). I was so scared, I prayed &amp, cried every night. Finally, 11 days later, I got a full period. My flow is heavier, and I'm more bloated than normal, but I got it! This pill definitely impacts your hormones, but try not to stress out. Let your body adapt and react, all you can do is wait and pray. Take a pregnancy test if you are a week or two late, before you stress. I hope this helps calm someone."

For Birth Control "I previously had the Mirena and loved it. My Gyn said they switched to Liletta and it would be the same experience. WRONG! I’ve gained 10+ lbs & am constantly bloated. I’m more active & have a better diet than I’ve ever had. My skin looks like I’m going through puberty. I’m emitting a smell that is god-awful. I have no energy, no libido, constant mood swings, reflux, nausea, and I just feel like an alien in my own body. I chalked it up to turning 30 this year coupled with the weirdness that COVID has brought, but in the back of my mind, I’ve known there is something wrong beyond that. I’m so glad I found this forum and know that these changes are caused by the IUD. I would rather manage periods than become a different person like I have been. Everyone is different but for me, there is a HUGE difference between the Mirena & Liletta IUD and I cannot wait to get this thing removed & get back to being myself."

For Emergency Contraception "Sharing my experience because I promised I would to calm others' nerves if it worked for me. I'm a 20-year-old college student who had sex during my fertile window and the condom broke!! He finished completely inside of me. I had been on and off birth control, but was off it for a couple of months with plans to change to another form. I ran to the pharmacy and took Plan B within an hour of this happening. Reading reviews that said that Plan B was ineffective during ovulation made me want to DIE. I was an anxious mess for two weeks. I did have some side effects after taking it, including swollen breasts (the first sign of pregnancy which sent me off the deep end) and mood swings. However, after much waiting, my period finally came... and four days early! My cramps are unbearable, but it's better than being pregnant... right? Plan B DOES WORK. For Emergency Contraception "Let me just tell y'all that these past two months have been a roller coaster of a ride for me. So babe and I did the deed on May 22nd, the day after my period. Honestly, I don't know if he came in me or not, but to give me peace of mind, I went and bought Plan B on May 23rd, approximately 26-28 hours after the deed was done. I was beating myself up because I didn't use any contraceptive and I felt really silly. The day after I took the pill, I had a slight headache. Four days later, I began to have spotting. For Birth Control "I have issues with hormones any time I have been pregnant or been on birth control. I get every bad side effect possible. I was hopeful for this one. I had it in for a month and had severe headaches, cystic acne (literally all over my face & no wash would make it go away), constantly felt light-headed/dizzy, nauseous, zero sex drive, horrible mood swings, my period lasted 12 days and I was constantly bleeding, horrible stomach pains randomly when I moved certain ways. This medication made my anxiety & depression worse. So bad that I couldn’t be around my 4-year-old son because I’d get so anxious I'd have a panic attack. For Birth Control "I got the Mirena IUD placed 7 weeks after my second son was born. I heard good things about it from the girls I worked with. They told me they loved it. Placement was pretty painful, even though I just gave birth 7 weeks prior to it. I bled constantly for 2 and a half months. After that, the bleeding only happened when my monthly flow was coming. When it came, it was pretty heavy and would last 7-8 days. My periods were right on schedule monthly. Then I started feeling fatigue, anxiety, massive mood swings, depression, insomnia. I had to push myself to get out of bed and take care of my children. Around month 9, I started getting blurred vision. I had blurred vision when I was on the pill after my first child was born. I knew it was the IUD causing all this. I had it removed 2 days ago. I spotted a little after removal. But now have a full heavy flow. My mood has changed a lot already. I’m calmer like I used to be. Anyways, while using Kyleena... my mood swings were crazy. I was super mean to my husband, I had severe depression and anxiety, and acne. For Emergency Contraception "You’re probably scrolling right now super anxious and stressed, so I say calm down and let the pill work its magic. I’m certain it was on ovulation day, the condom broke, he said he did a risky pull out but I honestly don’t trust the pulling out method at all!!! Lol I just don’t trust anyone enough to beat biology like that, and I don’t even want to think about children till I’m 30. I dragged him to immediately buy me Plan B afterwards (about 20 minutes later) and took it in the parking lot. The same day he brought me Plan B, and I took it right away. I was really anxious. I had a few symptoms. The first day it made me really sleepy. A week after I took it, the symptoms continued. For Birth Control "I have seen a ton of 10-star reviews from girls who made the review a week after getting it inserted. Please give it more time until you leave a review because the side effects come in the long term. I had the Kyleena for 2 years, and at first, I convinced myself I loved it, but I was so wrong. The insertion was god-awful and inhumane. After insertion, I had my period for 90 days straight. A few months went by, and I loved the IUD, but then the real side effects started coming. I became extremely irritable, had terrible mood swings, and had suicidal thoughts. I became depressed, had horrible insomnia, had trouble concentrating, and really bad brain fog. I gained a lot of weight despite eating the same amount, and my boobs grew 2 sizes, and when I got the IUD, they deflated, and now look horrible. I got an ovarian cyst, had bacterial vaginosis, uterine spasms, and cramps so bad I would scream. The doctor cut my strings too short, so I had to pay $3000 out of pocket to get it surgically removed."

The insertion was fine, mild cramping, but for the last year and a half I have experienced depression, bad acne, weight gain of about ten kilos, mood swings. Six months ago once my periods stopped altogether the symptoms got worse. A few days before my period was due, I experienced major mood swings, bloating, cramps, and sore breasts. For Birth Control "I guess most people only review when they have a bad experience. I personally love it. I had the copper IUD which gave me headaches and hurt like heck. Liletta does not give me headaches, and I don't feel it at all. No acne at all. No weight gain. Actually, I feel a bit slimmer, but I eat right and work out. Sex drive increased. The only possible negative may be mood swings, but I've always had an attitude."

For Emergency Contraception "I wanted to tell my story to all girls who are going through a pregnancy scare. I had sex (WHILE OVULATING) with a guy I barely know, and the condom broke, and he finished inside me. I took Plan B within an hour. I was nauseous for 3-4 days, wanted to puke, didn't eat at all due to stress, had to go to the toilet more, and had light pain in the abdomen. After maybe 5-6 days after Plan B, I had brown discharge which was more like a medium period, but it lasted for 3 days. After 2 weeks after intercourse, my period should have started, but because of Plan B, I was sure it would come later than usual, and exactly after 2 weeks, I got my period symptoms: severe breast pain, severe abdominal pain, and mood swings. But after a week, I got my period, and it is so heavy like never before. So girls, don't stress like I did and just trust the pill, it really will do its job."

For Emergency Contraception "This has totally been the most stressful almost two weeks of my life. So, my boyfriend and I were having sex, and the condom broke, but we didn’t realize that it broke until after he finished in me. I looked at my Flo Period app, and I was two days past the main ovulation day but still in my fertile window. I immediately started crying and panicking, so the next day I went and got Plan B. We then realized on Google it says it won’t work if you're already ovulating, so I was even more freaked out. I didn’t have super extreme symptoms, but my boobs were sore and I had horrible mood swings. For Birth Control "First, insertion was extremely painful. I am comparing it to a Paragard insertion about 10 years ago, a breeze. I had Paragard for 8 years with no issues, and do not have kids. I opted for Liletta last month. I've noticed such a dramatic shift in my mood and personality for the worse, as well as bloating and weight gain. What makes the side effects even more dramatic is that I have been working out really consistently (running 10 miles/week, yoga, strength), which would normally lift my spirits and mitigate any winter blues, but nope, I'll get off the treadmill and feel on the verge of tears for no reason. It's affecting my work and my relationship, I want it out asap. I've also been crampy and spotting for the entire month since it was inserted. I realize that part is meant to be normal, but it's like insult to injury taking all the other side effects into account. The pros are: I'm not pregnant. Worth it? Not at the cost of my relationship and mental health, and physical well-being."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex on November 23, it wasn't until after we realized the condom had broken. I went to the pharmacy and managed to take Plan B about an hour and a half after sex. I realized after that I was about 3 days before ovulating, so I was at a high chance of getting pregnant. And of course, I had read that Plan B doesn't work if you have already ovulated. On November 30, I started bleeding, this went on for 5 days. I thought it was implantation bleeding because my nipples were also sore and sensitive. But it was a very light flow compared to my regular period, with few blood clots. My period was not due for another 2 weeks as well. A week after this, I had a thick, white, creamy discharge. I had to wear a pad for this. This went on for a week. My period was meant to be due on the 12th of December. I experienced breakouts, cravings, mood swings, extreme bloating, and mild cramps. I was convinced I was pregnant. I got my period today on December 20, eight days late, and I couldn't be happier."

For Birth Control "I had the Liletta inserted shortly after my second child was born. While on Liletta, I did notice an extreme uptick in my sex drive, which has been great. But, like others, my anxiety was out of control, moods were up/down, there was an odd odor all the time. But the constant bleeding was what had me mostly concerned. I literally bled nonstop. It would be consistent for three weeks, wane off for two, back for a few days, away for another few days, etc. It was awful. I complained to my OB, and he chalked it off to "your body is getting used to it," etc. Finally, one and a half years after insertion, I’m two days post-removal (had a Mirena put in on Wednesday after getting the Liletta out), and I feel awesome. No pain, physically lighter. My jeans fit better-no bloating, my mood is incredibly brighter-no odor, and NO BLOOD! My experience with the Liletta was not a favorable one."

For Emergency Contraception "My last period was on Jan 18th. I had unprotected sex on January 30th and 31st. Later that day, I checked my tracker and realized I had sex on the day of ovulation, my most fertile days. He stated that he pulled out every time, however, you can't be too sure since I'm not on birth control. I ordered a Plan B, it got delivered the night of the 31st. Now I know that if you take it during or after ovulation, it does not work. I was stressing out. For Emergency Contraception "Ahhh. So on Sept. 29, my boyfriend came in me during sex. (I’m not on birth control.) So later that night, I got a Take Action from Walgreens. This was about 10 hours after the incident, and I took it immediately. This was also 13 days before my period, so I think that means I was fertile? Anyways, it’s been 2 weeks, and I still feel nausea, I have mood swings, worst cramps ever, changes in bowel movements, and just waiting for some sort of blood. My period is supposed to start around the 10th of every month, and I’m pretty sure my period is starting, but it’s a day late. I’ve taken several pregnancy tests every morning when I wake up, and they have all been negative, and it’s been 15 days now.
