For Birth Control "I had Mirena inserted in 2011 due to endometriosis, which is aggravated by estrogen so an IUD was the way to go at the time. Did not have any problems whatsoever. No weight gain or skin problems. Absolutely nothing. My 5 years with Mirena ended. I had Liletta inserted July 2016 only b/c my doctor suggested it. BIG MISTAKE! I have gained almost 30 lbs. I work out, watch what I eat and any other thing you can think of to lose weight. I'm STILL gaining & I now have really bad acid reflux because of it! It reminds me off the Depo experience I had years ago. On top of the extreme weight gain, my skin looks like I'm going through puberty. Heck my skin wasn't this bad during puberty! Not to mention the never ending cramps! Got to get it out ASAP!"

For Birth Control "I got Liletta placed in 2 days ago and while the insertion process wasn't comfortable at all, I only had cramps the day of insertion and haven't had any since. My doctor said I would have a period 4-6 weeks but I stopped this morning, only 2 days later, so overall I would say that I like this IUD but I will update in a month to tell if it has gotten better or worse."

For Birth Control "After several failed attempts by two different ARNP's in the same day at a PP clinic, I finally got my IUD placed by an MD at a larger PP location yesterday. First off, the difference between a nurse and a doctor is amazing, ladies. Nurses can't use drugs--doctors CAN. Bear that in mind if you're going in for a first time placement! And yes, going in while bleeding probably helped. Not sure how I feel about it yet. Cramps were almost non-existent prior to yesterday evening. They have been sort of going in and out now, very sharp for several minutes, then gone for about an hour or so. At this point, I'm just hoping my body doesn't completely reject it."

For Birth Control "Just had it inserted today, and holy crap the pain. it was a 15/10 when she put it in. I came home and threw up from the pain. After napping with a heating pad i felt a million times better though. Even though the pain was awful, I'd do it again if it means not having to worry about BC for 3 years."

For Birth Control "I had this crap inserted four hours ago and am still hurting. I had to pull over on the way home because I was sweating from pain. I threw up my lunch and almost pooped my pants. THAT'S PAIN.. I had my mirena removed because it expired and tried this one. I wish I had not changed because my mirena insertion did not hurt at all. I will be having this taken out IN a few months. I'm still hurting.. this was a bad idea. Getting this thing put in brought tears to my eyes. I rather have a baby."

For Birth Control "I had Liletta inserted today, the middle of November 2016. I did not do too much research because I'm a scaredy cat with doctors. I had a friend that got one a few years back so I thought, why not. I definitely was NOT ready for the insertion process. It wasn't unbearable, but it was definitely more than I was ready for. I am experiencing light cramping and bleeding. I'm taking 600mg Ibuprofen and it is doing just fine. So far so good. I am hopeful for the future."

For Birth Control "I guess most people only review when they have a bad experience. I personally love it. I had the copper IUD which gave me headaches and hurt like heck. Liletta does not give me headaches and I don't feel it at all. No acne - at all. No weight gain. Actually I feel a bit slimmer, but I eat right and work out. Sex drive - increased. The only possible negative may be mood swings, but I've always had an attitude."

For Birth Control "Well it has now been about 18 days since insertion and the spotting comes and goes as it pleases and I'm cranky some days. Some days I don't bleed at all other days its bright red spotting other days its like a Brown color spotting. Getting frustrated with the a spotting, but my Dr. says its normal and in having more acne than normal. So thats the not so great. Heres the great my sex drive has went up ALOT lol and I have lost about 5 lbs. And my migraines have cut down over half of what I normally get I don't know if its the liletta or not but its nice not to have migraines every day (been dealing with them for 10 years) So there's an update on my liletta experiance. Ill post another update in a month or so hopefully with better news lol..."

For Birth Control "I got the lileta in me in February 2016 it wasn't painful at all. I did bleed almost every day for a couple months. The blood wasn't heavy it was very light but it was still annoying. I am now frustrated because every time I have sex, I start to bleed which kills the mood. And sex is painful for my partner. If I exercise my abdominal area I start to bleed as well. If I take a bath I start to bleed. I'm tired of bleeding! This has to go!"

For Birth Control "I had my Liletta inserted February 2016 and could no longer take the bleeding at random times. Always bleeding during intimacy. I had it removed October 2016 two days after my partner and I were intimate. I experienced light bleeding the week following for 2 days and no clotting. Yesterday I passed one clot and nothing else. I'm wonder if anyone has had this happen? If so, when can I expect my first period to come as it will be 3 weeks next week."

For Birth Control "Just had Liletta put in today, The procedure didnt take long the pain was bearable but definitely did not feel good. Had some intense cramping for the first few hours been taking 800 mg. Ibuprofen every few hours. I was already on my period when it was inserted so not sure if i bled with insertion or not. Hoping for the best. I did not read up on it at all before hand because I didn't want to chicken out and not get it, and now I have read up on it and I'm seriously hoping I did not make a big mistake I don't need any more weight gain or acne or longer periods."

For Birth Control "I had lileta inserted Oct 2015 and now 1 yr later. I'd say I do like this form of birthcontrol. The only things I hate is the weight gain and acne I've always had some acne but now my skin is super oily so its gotten a bit worse. other than them 2 things I love this . My sex drive has gone up. hubby loves that."

For Birth Control "I got the liletta put in May 2016. A little discomfort at the time of insertion. Light spotting and cramping the day after. Over all, for me and my husband, he doesn't feel a thing. I Totally hate the spotting. Literally bleeding for 3 weeks. Then normal for 2. Maybe a little exaggerated on the 3 weeks. But I've figured out the process. 2 weeks of daily, consistent spotting. 1 weeks menses. Normal the week after menses and the week of ovulation. Trying to wait the 6 months. My doctor says it stops around that time. Wish me luck"

For Birth Control "I've never been on birth control, but decided to try lilletta since our insurance covers it. I got it inserted 8 weeks after having my daughter. Sex was painful for both my husband and I. We had to get the strings cut and the iud fell out and had to do it again. I've been bleeding for almost 6 months now off and on. This birth control is very annoying"

For Birth Control "I got the Liletta inserted on October 3rd. I was expecting the insertion to be excruciating after reading tons of reviews but it wasn't bad at all. It was definitely uncomfortable but it was just mostly cramps and I have a very low tolerance for pain. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate the insertion pain a 3. I did take 800mg of ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer a hour before my appt. I've had pretty intense cramps off and on everyday. My doctor prescribed tramadol which I just started today. I take ibuprofen and that helps a lot, as long as I take it before the pain is really bad. I bled every day but it stopped 3 days ago. It was regular bleeding and then brown discharge, which is annoying. Overall I think it will help me in the long run."

For Birth Control "I got the liletta inserted in August 2016. I have never had children so the insertion process was horribly painful. I cramped afterwards for about 3 days. My first period with liletta was unbearable! I went to my doctor because the cramps were so bad I thought something was seriously wrong. It also lasted 2 weeks which a normal period for me is about 2-4 days. She said with it being my first period with the IUD it was completely normal. My second period I had no pain but was still bleeding for about 2 weeks. It starts out as brown spotting for about 4 days and then bright red bleeding for 4 days and back to brown spotting for another 4-6 days. It's been so annoying!!! Totally interferes with my sex life. I also am experiencing alot of acne."

For Birth Control "I have had this IUD for a little over a month. The insertion was okay not that painful I took medicine for the first day after that it was over. I have had non stop brownish bleeding off and on since I had the IUD. I've only had sex once and he couldn't feel anything. I had head and neck pain for three weeks straight but now it is over. Yes I was ready to take it out and still debating about it...the nurse said that it will last for about 6 months so I'm trying to hold out until then. I don't really know about the weight gain but if I can't lose weight starting my diet on Monday I will let everyone know. My doctor said u are not suppose to gain weight but I feel like I am out of breath all the time."

For Birth Control "I got the Liletta in 08/2016 after experiencing a miscarriage. I've had cramping the first week which went away but now I have a low sex drive, acne and weight gain. I went a dermatologist, she prescribed facial wash, antibiotics and suggest I remove the IUD. She also said progestin based birth control can make acne worse. I will remove next week. Don't use if you don't have to."

For Birth Control "I had liletta placed in February 2016. It was very painful. Heavy bleeding for two straight months . then my period became lighter and regular. Its is now October 2016. 8 months after having it placed I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant with the iud still in place. I got the iud removed right away."

For Birth Control "I had the liletta IUD inserted two months ago. Insertion was very painful but the experience took 5 mins altogether. The pain following didn't last longer than a day. So far, I've noticed my periods last a lot longer, before the IUD they would last 5 days now they last 8-10. I also spot almost every single day. Both of these things are manageable but if I wasn't single this would interfere with my sex life. Benefits: I don't get crazy mood swings like I used to on the pill and I don't have a lot of hair growth on my body it seems like my hair doesn't grow as fast. Cons: I'm very frustrated this month because I've developed cystic acne along my left jaw and cheek and forehead and i can't lose weight whereas before I could"

For Birth Control "It's now been about 6 weeks since I got Liletta. I had heavy spotting until the middle of last week when it finally lightened up! Now I've had 3 days spot-free. I'm hoping this means my cycle has started to regulate. I'm still very nervous about using it without a condom, but so far it's been a decent experience! I'm still a little emotional and am really hoping that will subside."

For Birth Control "I got it inserted in December 2015, I spotted for about a week with minor cramps. For the first 3 months I had a cycle, but after that I may spot here and there. The only thing is that I keep gaining weight. I have tried eatin better and working out."

For Birth Control "I had the Liletta put in July (almost 3 months ago) with the initial insertion a sharp and intense pain. I had about a week of intense pressure or cramp-like symptoms. I have had a constant light period, acne on my forehead (which I never have had) and weight gain.. I'm not sure if this IUD is best suited for me at this point. I will call my doctor and ask her opinion."
