For Birth Control "I rushed into getting an IUD. Didn't do enough research. I spoke to a few people who have IUDs and they love them. Well, I hate mine. It was the worst pain I've ever felt when I got it inserted. I've had it for about a month now and I haven't stopped spotting or bleeding since I got it. I have random cramps and back pains. I feel bloated and I have major mood swings. I have my monthly follow up appointment tomorrow and I'm thinking about having it removed, depending on what my doctor says."

For Birth Control "So this is my 90 day review I had my Liletta inserted 4/28/17. It took me a week to start bleeding after I got it installed since then I have yet to stop bleeding. It was heavy spotting for the first 2 months, and the past month its been flowing like a river. I've been going through a pack of pads per day. I gained 13 lbs... after just 3 weeks. I've since lost the weight with diet and exercise. My biggest concern is the bleeding, I just want it to stop. I've also developed a cyst on my right ovary since taking this. I'm going to talk to my doctor about other birth control options. I will give it another month but thats it. "

For Birth Control "Was very nervous for the insertion but it was all a breeze. It didn't hurt so much as just some cramping for like 2ish minutes and then a little achy for the hours after insertion. I did take 600mg of ibuprofen which was probably useful. I spotted for a couple hours after insertion but not to bad. Will see how I handle the side effects (if I get any). But so far so good! Love the idea of not having to worry for 3+ (if liletta gets FDA approval) years"

For Birth Control "Updated Review: I got Liletta inserted in Dec 2015 after being on problem free (for me at least) NuvaRing for 9 years but wanted less estrogen in my BC. I’m 27yo, 5’1”, approx 115 pounds, half marathoner. Pros: No weight gain, stopped periods Cons: daily headaches, chronic yeast infections (11 months!), diagnosed w/chronic migraines, severe anxiety, panic attacks, and brain fog so severe for over a month that Drs thought I was having seizures in my sleep/tumor/MS/etc. , strings made for occasional painful sex for my SO I saw my GP last week who is convinced Liletta has caused my issues. Had it removed 19Jun17 and I feel 100% better. No anxiety, panic attacks, brain fog, nothing. Took about a 1.5 weeks to feel a difference."

For Birth Control "I got the Liletta November 2016. I had gone off birth control when I was 21 after being on the pill/nuva ring for 6 years. I am now 27 and am in a serious relationship, so I decided to get an IUD. I don't like it. I am going to get the strings trimmed in a few weeks when I go in for my annual. My boyfriend can feel it almost every time we have sex, and the strings have CUT him. I had my period for the first month straight, and then regular/heavy spotting till April. I get random pangs of discomfort pretty regularly in my uterus/cervix. It honestly feels like my body is just angry and rejecting the IUD. I also experience mood swings and I have never been so emotionally sensitive in my life."

For Birth Control "I had the insertion on April 19, 2017. As expected, the procedure was uncomfortable and caused some cramping that lasted for the day. I had been struggling with acne breakouts prior to getting the IUD and the breakouts have definitely subsided. Only downside is that almost 2 months later, I am still bleeding. Although it is light, still very inconvenient and annoying,"

For Birth Control "Got my Liletta at Planned Parenthood in early December 2016. I'm 22, never been pregnant or had a pap before. My doctors were very nice and the procedure wasn't that bad. They even gave me a heat pack to put on my tummy. It was uncomfortable and the insertion felt like a really bad cramp for a second or two but nothing I couldn't handle. Afterward, I bled constantly for 30+ days, heavy at first but then a medium-light flow. After that I didn't get my period for about 3 months. Then it returned but it's now VERY light but WAY longer, about 10-14 days when it used to be 5-7. During my periods I now don't have cramps, but a couple of days before I get horribly painful random cramps that last 10-60ish seconds. Still not Prego though."

For Birth Control "I have had 2 rounds (5 years each) with the Mirena and never had a problem. This round they used the Liletta IUD which was inserted on June 1st. It was supposed to be better. It is not. I have had my period for 37 days straight. They should advertise that it's effective because you won't have sex since you will have your period EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have resorted to buying pads and tampons in bulk. I'm over it. Biggest mistake and wish I spoke up and insisted on the other brand. Stay away from this one. It's not worth it. I gave it the one star because I will take part blame for not doing more research."

For Birth Control "I was on ortho cyclen for over 15 years. I am 38 & was pushed to an IUD by a family planning clinic, which I'd been considering but wasn't sure. They only carried Liletta for $600 so I went with that. They didn't tell me to take any meds beforehand, but I had taken 7.5 mg oxycodone and 100mg Tramadol (I have spine issues). At the office they gave me 800mg ibuprofen right before. I have had 2 kids (12 years ago), am very petite & this pain was WAY worse than labor or childbirth. I almost fainted & begged her to stop. They did not give me any instructions on checking the IUD & acted like I was being dramatic. Had I known how painful it would be, I would have never done it! EXCRUCIATING. If the cramps don't go away, I'm getting it out!"

For Birth Control "Alright, I got Liletta in December of 2016, about 5 months after I had my son. After reading some reviews I was terrified. But let me tell you, the insertion wasn't terrible. Yes, it hurt. But I'm sure the placing of anything in your uterus isn't exactly pleasant. I had cramping for about 24 hours, and also had a bit of leg pain which I thought was odd, but that too subsided within 24 hours. Very mild spotting for about 48 hours after insertion. Then, nothing. Haven't had a period since (7 months), no cramping, no crazy breakouts or weight gain or anything like that. If anything, I lost weight and increased my sex drive. Now, that being said, I do occasionally have an increase in vaginal discharge. Which isn't a big deal."

For Birth Control "I got my liletta May 28th, 2017. I have never been pregnant or had sex before, so insertion was uncomfortable and painful. The pinch on the cervix hurt, but the foreign object holding open my vaginal opening hurt more for me. Post insertion, pain subsided after about 45 minutes and I felt fine. I was mid-menstrual cycle when I got mine inserted. Days following, cramps began to develop every day and light bleeding followed. I lost my appetite, and felt sleepy all the time. Light bleeding (only had to use light tampons) was consistent and cramps got worse and occurred every day. (Cramps are the worst part by far) At about 2.5 weeks after insertion, I began to feel some mood swings and had acne breakout. Symptoms still occurring 5 weeks out."

For Birth Control "I have had liletta for almost three months now. I really like it. Insertion was painful, be sure to take ibuprofen prior to. I think I have had a couple periods since, but nothing note worthy, they are short. There has been some seemingly random cramping that I went back to the Dr. To check out, but everything is fine, I'm well on my way to no periods, period! I will say, I have been breaking out, and that's unusual for me. I had a group of pimples that didn't go away for a long time."

For Birth Control "This birth control insertion wasn't painful at all for me. I got it inserted May 31 2017. I spotted after it got put in and I've been bleeding ever since. I don't know when I will stop bleeding but I hope it's soon. I love it so far. It's like it isn't there. It doesn't bother me. I just wish I would stop bleeding."

For Birth Control "Since there are so many negative reviews, I wanted to share my experience. I had Liletta placed on 6/9/17. It was not the most pleasant experience, but my uterus is not shaped or positioned normally, so it was more difficult (had to do it twice). However, while it was uncomfortable and a bit painful, I think if they hadn't had to adjust so much it would've been no huge deal. After insertion, I had cramps that were more like contractions for a few hours, then they slowly calmed down, and I felt kind of uncomfortable for a couple days. I also bled moderately for the week after, then spotted daily the second week. Now, all has cleared up, so I'm hoping it continues, if it does this is awesome! So far so good! Everyone is different!!!"

For Birth Control "Updated Review: I had Liletta inserted at the end of March and had high hopes for it, as this was my first time using birth control and it seemed like a wonderful idea. The insertion was painful and I did have light cramping for the next three days or so but nothing I couldn't handle. However, two weeks after insertion, I started noticing extreme bloating, followed by excruciating stomach pains, back pain and strong stabbing pains under my ribs. These symptoms landed me in the ER three times, while various blood tests and a sonogram were conducted with no abnormal results found.I had the IUD removed a month later and my body has gradually reverted back to normal.I would not recommend this device due to the extreme side effects I experienced"

For Birth Control "I'm 35, with 3 children (all cesarean deliveries). I had Liletta inserted 3 days prior to my period starting (I had planned to be on my period, but I was a little late). I literally had no pain just the expected uncomfortable feeling any time you have an exam. I took 3 Advil prior to the procedure and Cytotec the night before to soften my cervix. But literally no pain. I had some very mild cramping for a couple days but nothing worse than during my monthly cycle. I had a follow up ultrasound +1 week to confirm placement. The biggest side effect is that I've broken out pretty badly but I'm hoping it will calm down in a few weeks (I'm only +2 weeks)"

For Birth Control "I took 1000mg of Ibuprofen, inserted two pills the doctor prescribed me the night before to dilate my cervix, AND was on my period like the doctor said. I am 24-years-old and never had children. OH MY GOD - this was the *WORST* pain I have ever had. It was paralyzing pain. I cried out, shook, immediately began crying. It literally knocked the air out of me. My boyfriend had to drive me home because the cramping and pain in my cervix was so excruciating. The pain was gone by the next day, but I bled non stop for a month. At my one month check up, I was told my body was expelling it and that I was the 1% of the population it wasn't working for. They said it hadn't been protecting me that entire time, and they removed it that day."

For Birth Control "I received the Liletta IUD on March 1, 2017. For the first two days, I had severe cramping but no bleeding. However, since having it in, I have experienced almost every side effect, except losing my hair. I also think that it has moved out of place because at times, I can feel it and it is painful. Especially, during my periods. I am considering having it removed."

For Birth Control "I got liletta in July 2016, with two shots of toradol I still had a horrible experience with the insertion. I have never felt anything so painful. I constantly have mild cramping, pain with sex, and made me break out like crazy. The only nice things I have gotten from this is obviously no pregnancy and I've had one period since July that lasted 3 days. I'm getting this taken out on Thursday due to the painful cramping everyday."

For Birth Control "Had mine put in June 15, 2017 the insertion was a bit painful I had it put in two days before my period which made my period off 17 days so I was scared I was pregnant, finally get my period three days ago cramping is kind of bad but I had the copper IUD before this one so I'm used to it but my periods are much lighter then with the copper IUDI mean I only need a liner which is nice so this is my first. After having it inserted I will update to let you know how long my period last."

For Birth Control "I just left my Ob-Gyn and had Liletta inserted. I can't say much for side effects yet (obviously) but insertion wasn't not nearly as painful as anticipated. Maybe a 3 out of 10. Mind you, I have had 2 children. The pain after the procedure is worse most definitely. About a 5 out of 10."

For Birth Control "Hello you guys. Shortly after giving birth to my last child in October, I had liletta placed in December 2016. It was a bit painful , but mine was inserted while on my cycle. I felt cramps as my doctors deployed the liletta but only for a few minutes. After I left the doctor, I went to pump gas and went home . When I got home, my cycle was completely off. It stayed that way until day 5 and then it was like a crime scene. I bled consistently for 2 months and my body adjusted. Even after my body accepted it I still felt cramps when I worked, cleaned , or sat down. Today, June 23,2017, I got it removed because for the past couple of weeks I've been dealing with unbearable pain! Cramps none stop but It did prevent pregnancy."

For Birth Control "Okay, so I've only had Liletta for 5 days now but let me tell you it is like it's not even there. I feel like a lot of the bad comments are due to the gyno that they choose to go to. Do your research first, call the office and ask if they have experience putting IUDs in, what you should know beforehand, and how long the doctor that will be doing the procedure on you has been doing it. During the procedure, it HURT like a lot, and it kept hurting. But me not having kids and not being on my period didn't really help. After, I took some Tylenol 3, put on a pad, and drove home. That day, I had mild cramping and spotting. The day after was like nothing happened. 5 days later and I don't even remember that it's there."

For Birth Control "Today (6/21/17) I went into planned parenthood where I scheduled a change in birth control. From the depo shot to mirena. The depo shot has so many side effects that I had been dealing with for 3+ years now so I was ready for a change. I go in expecting to get mirena when the Dr tells me they don't carry it anymore but that Liletta was pretty much the exact same. Another option was I believe Skyla. I haven't had a period in 3 years being on the depo shot and wanted to keep it that way which was why I wanted mirena. Many women end up not having one at all. She told me skyla I would have a period for sure but Liletta there was a possiblility I wouldn't. Getting it inserted was the worst pain I've ever endured in my life. Honestly."
