Levocetirizine for Allergies "After taking Xyzal for only 3 weeks, my quality of life has vastly improved. The first 2 days I felt a little sleepy. The only symptom I still have is a runny nose in the morning, but it goes away after several hours. I took Zyrtec D for over a decade while living in Los Angeles, and my allergy symptoms were controlled, but some days I could barely speak because my mouth and throat were simply too dry. After moving to Arizona, Zyrtec D was failing to control my allergy symptoms, and I was dry everywhere. My skin itched, my eyes and ears itched and hurt. I tried both Claritin D and Allegra D, which provided little to no relief."

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I took this 19 hours ago. I’m still too sedated to safely drive and too unsteady to stand in the shower. Plus, my eyes are itching from allergy. This stuff should be pulled off the market immediately!"

Levocetirizine for Urticaria "I broke out in itchy red welts that the doctor first thought were insect bites. It continued even after I stayed indoors. I also have alopecia areata, which is autoimmune. I took Xyzal, and after just 2 days, the itching and welts lessened, and by day 5, I did not form any more welts."

Levocetirizine for Urticaria "Hives and itchy skin and very bad hand itch that caused me to scratch. I used to get them every other day for 2-3 hours. I used to lock myself in the room and itch and itch and itch then. I was told about Xyzal by my father-in-law. Life is so good with Xyzal. I only wish this medicine were known to more people who suffer from itch and hives that make life so painful. But when medicine like Xyzal is created, it's very good medicine that can cure allergies or itchy skin. I just take one tablet every 2 days and sleep like a baby and feel the best next morning."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "Shortly after taking Xyzal because I wanted to try a different allergy pill than Zyrtec. My throat, nose, and eyes began to itch and burn really badly, and I think it's because of the lactose monohydrate ingredient, but it's not for me at all!"

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I'm 90% allergic to dogs and 95% allergic to cats. Guess what? I have a cat and a dog... the dog sheds more than the cat, but if the cat scratches me, I break out into hives/welts. If a dog hair gets on my face, especially around my eyes... I get symptoms of pink eye. My eyes get red, itchy, and swollen. That being said, nothing but Xyzal has worked for me. I take this at night about 1 hour before bedtime."

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have had chronic allergies, and nothing has helped. It would be normal for me to go through a box of Kleenex in a week. The major frustration with my allergies was my itchy feet and ear canals. Although Xyzal is very expensive (my insurance doesn't cover it), it is worth not having the itchy feet and ears that no one thought about."

Levocetirizine for Urticaria "I started developing an outbreak of rashes all over my body about two years ago. Since then, my GP has prescribed the usual antihistamine, cetirizine, and hydroxyzine. I noticed my rashes didn't subside totally after I took them both, but when I was prescribed Xyzal, I noticed it lowered the inflammation of my skin, and the itchiness level was greatly reduced too. Since then, I have been taking Xyzal together with Atarax, and I find it to be quite effective as a combination. I have been taking Xyzal on a daily basis ever since. My rashes come back sometimes, but I have no choice since there are no newer antihistamines other than Xyzal. My doctor has never prescribed me Allegra."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "I never tried this product because I am allergic to microcrystalline cellulose. The cellulose can cause gut pain, inflammation, and sometimes itching. Watch for products that use this filler. Even some prescription drugs use this filler. Be aware of the inactive ingredients in what you take."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "I started Xyzal in late August due to repeat sinus infection and allergies. Last week, I skipped two doses by mistake, and that was the worst thing that I could have done! I had a full-blown panic attack in the truck while on our way home from running errands. I literally jumped out of the truck while it was still moving because I felt like my head was about to explode! It was the worst day ever. I am now only taking half a tablet to wean myself off this drug. Had I known these severe side effects after wanting to stop them, I never would have started them. Since halving my dosage, I have been having anxiety, joint pain, itching, and swelling in my sinuses. I am hoping to be off of these within 2 weeks since I only took them for around two months."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I have been taking levocetirizine for a few months now. It works well for my sinuses. The drowsiness is not so bad now that I have been taking it for a while. My issue is when I go a couple of days without taking it, I start to itch so badly. My legs and hands itch terribly. Other body parts start to itch badly also. Then as soon as I get a couple of doses back in me, the itching stops. Is this weird? Has anyone else experienced this kind of side effect? Any similar information would be helpful. Thank you."

For Allergies "I have year-round allergies, and they are generally worse in the spring when the trees start to bud out and pollinate. I was prescribed levocetirizine to take daily several years ago. This is the first year when I've had only partial relief with spring allergies. Lots of sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes. Luckily, I have an appointment with my primary care physician next week, so I can discuss this with her and see if she wants me to try something else."
