Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I took this 19 hours ago. I’m still too sedated to safely drive and too unsteady to stand in the shower. Plus, my eyes are itching from allergy. This stuff should be pulled off the market immediately!"

Levocetirizine for Allergies "Awful! I feel like I've had the flu for days... I've been vomiting, dizzy, shaky, run down, not been able to sleep, and had a sore throat since I started taking this. It is NOT worth all the side effects!"

Levocetirizine for Allergies "Bought the Xyzal yesterday morning as I had run out of my other allergy medication. Took ONE pill at 8 a.m. and was out cold and on the couch for the rest of the day. I am experiencing a loss of balance and can manage to stand up for a minute before I get really hot and nauseous. It's now been a little over 24 hours, I'm still on the couch, no balance, and feeling really fatigued. Will NOT take this again."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "I feel absolutely horrible. I ran out of Zyrtec, my son takes this, so I figured I'd try it. On day two, I feel a combination of having a concussion and a hangover all at one time. I'm fatigued, dizzy, and have a headache. This does not include the pressure I feel in my sinuses. I feel absolutely horrible. I'm done, I won't take this again. I'm honestly not even sure the FDA should have approved this drug."

Levocetirizine for Urticaria "Xyzal is horrible. I’ve spent the last 4 years of my life suffering due to side effects of antihistamines. These drugs are all the same thing. They make you feel annoyed, depressed, anxious, exhausted, dizzy, and just like absolute garbage! I thought Xyzal, being the 'newer and better' drug it was marketed to be, would be the miracle to save my life. However, it wasn’t. This drug is just as bad as the rest, possibly even worse. Also, keep in mind that Xyzal is no different than Zyrtec. It’s literally just the left half of Zyrtec, the part of it that actually works. It’s the same drug. If Zyrtec sucks for you, Xyzal will too. Honestly, I’m gonna go back to Claritin. It doesn’t stop my hives completely, but I am at least not a psychotic, depressed maniac on it."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "Will not take again! Up all night, frequent urination. Finally fell asleep and woke with awful migraine, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and muscle pain! I've been feeling awful all day! Can't wait to get this out of my system! Will go back to Claritin, which I tolerate. Ughhhh..."

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I took this medication prior to going to bed. I woke up with my head spinning. I could not function at all the very next day. It felt like it gave me the worst hangover of my life. I would rather suffer with allergies than feel exhausted and dizzy."

For Allergies "With frightening ease, levocetirizine gave me the most horrible side effects I've ever experienced from taking any drug, ever. It didn't suppress my allergies, and it gave me a headache like the one I had the days prior to being hospitalized with meningitis. I took it in the morning, being tired of cetirizine also doing nothing to help me. Typing this on the morning of day two, and I still feel awful. Yesterday was way hellish. Aforementioned headache, very dizzy, weak muscles, skin hurt when pressured, couldn't eat (still struggling to eat), eyes hurt, and while I didn't have an actual fever, I was absolutely burning (and yet cold at the same time). I got up every 45 minutes or so to splash cold water on my face, ears, and neck. Dry mouth, loss of taste, depressed, my spine still hurts. Nose running like a faucet all day, I sneezed so much it started to hurt my ribs. This is suffering in a pill. There. I'd give this a -10, but I can't."

For Allergies "I am taking levocetirizine, been taking it for 1 month. My doctor told me to take it in the morning. I can't even get out of bed, I'm feeling more like a zombie, dizzy all day, dry mouth, head hurts, and feeling depressed. I don't like the way I have been feeling, so I stopped taking it as of today, July 13, 19, going to see my doctor Monday morning."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "I normally take allergy meds, and I tried this about 10 years ago. It did not work for me. I decided to try it again yesterday, and it really worked on my allergies, but I had the worst nightmares and was tossing and turning all night. Then, all day today, I have felt sick to my stomach and have felt dizzy and have not been able to take a nap or anything. Finally, it is starting to wear off after about 20 hours from the time I took it."

For Allergies "I started taking this after my doctor recommended it. After taking it for about three weeks, I started having vertigo, pain and pressure in my right temple, visual disturbances, and chest pains. I had no idea what was going on, went to several doctors. All said I was fine. Looked up the side effects and stopped taking it immediately. Some symptoms have subsided, but seven weeks later, I'm still dealing with it. I hope nothing is permanent. It’s very scary. Wish I had never taken it."

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have seasonal allergies and decided to try Xyzal, taking 1 pill at bedtime. It worked well for my allergies, but I woke up feeling groggy and fought drowsiness all day. By the afternoon, I took a 2-hour nap. It’s evening now, and I still feel wonky. I think I’ll stick to Claritin."

For Allergic Rhinitis "So usually I take fexofenadine, but it's on the more expensive side for me, so I wanted to try Xyzal. I usually take my meds at night. About 2 hours after taking this medicine, I got super dizzy, enough to not want to drive. (Now this is on me, should have read the packet ingredients and instructions.) I can't take Cetirizine because I get ungodly drowsy, but after taking the medicine, I realized it's part of that family. It made me dizzy, dry mouth, and really tired. Should have read one here first, this was my first time ever trying it. I know you're supposed to take allergy medicine for 2 weeks to get used to it, but these side effects are a little too much for me."

For Allergies "I've been using this along with another steroid nasal spray for awful seasonal allergies. Because I'd taken Zyrtec in the past with no drowsiness, I took for granted that this med wouldn't make me drowsy either. Holy hell was I wrong. Fatigue is more like it, and bouts of vertigo every time I stand up. It's good for my allergies, but I need to switch back to Zyrtec because I can't function even on 12 hours of sleep plus naps (normally I'm a 5-6 hours of sleep kind of person)."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "I got insanely dizzy (where I couldn't walk in a straight line for much of the day), had horrible anxiety and depression, and couldn't sleep at night. I would wake up several times a night having intense panic attacks, and during the day would feel unreal (zombie-like and insane headaches). It did what it was supposed to and kept my rash under control, but was not really worth the side effects."
