Levocetirizine for Allergies "After taking Xyzal for only 3 weeks, my quality of life has vastly improved. The first 2 days I felt a little sleepy. The only symptom I still have is a runny nose in the morning, but it goes away after several hours. I took Zyrtec D for over a decade while living in Los Angeles, and my allergy symptoms were controlled, but some days I could barely speak because my mouth and throat were simply too dry. After moving to Arizona, Zyrtec D was failing to control my allergy symptoms, and I was dry everywhere. My skin itched, my eyes and ears itched and hurt. I tried both Claritin D and Allegra D, which provided little to no relief."

Levocetirizine for Urticaria "I decided to try Xyzal when I was unable to calm the itching I have. A full tablet seemed to really dry me out. I was thrilled to see the tablets are scored! This means that it has the same dose on each side of the score. Much greater experience taking half. Lots of people don't know that is the reason it is scored. Half a Xyzal helps so much! The cost is better when you have twice the dose in a bottle! I'm really glad it's available."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "This medicine has severe side effects; that is, it causes irritability and tiredness. It does dry a person out, but the side effects necessitate cautionary awareness if you are going to drive or work with people. You have no patience. I do not recommend this product."

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have been taking Xyzal for nearly 1 year now, and it truly has been my lifesaver. I suffer from extreme seasonal allergies and indoor allergies with all the symptoms: itchy red eyes, itchy ears and feet, sneezing 5 times an hour, congested sinuses, headaches, congestion, hives, and frequent bloody noses. I tried over-the-counter and prescription drugs for nearly 10 years with no success. Xyzal has honestly relieved all my symptoms. I take my dose before bed because it does make me sleepy. I have no problems making it through my workday. I do have a little bit of a dry throat side effect, but that is nothing compared to the misery I was in before."

For Allergies "With frightening ease, levocetirizine gave me the most horrible side effects I've ever experienced from taking any drug, ever. It didn't suppress my allergies, and it gave me a headache like the one I had the days prior to being hospitalized with meningitis. I took it in the morning, being tired of cetirizine also doing nothing to help me. Typing this on the morning of day two, and I still feel awful. Yesterday was way hellish. Aforementioned headache, very dizzy, weak muscles, skin hurt when pressured, couldn't eat (still struggling to eat), eyes hurt, and while I didn't have an actual fever, I was absolutely burning (and yet cold at the same time). I got up every 45 minutes or so to splash cold water on my face, ears, and neck. Dry mouth, loss of taste, depressed, my spine still hurts. Nose running like a faucet all day, I sneezed so much it started to hurt my ribs. This is suffering in a pill. There. I'd give this a -10, but I can't."

For Allergies "I am taking levocetirizine, been taking it for 1 month. My doctor told me to take it in the morning. I can't even get out of bed, I'm feeling more like a zombie, dizzy all day, dry mouth, head hurts, and feeling depressed. I don't like the way I have been feeling, so I stopped taking it as of today, July 13, 19, going to see my doctor Monday morning."

"Incredible results. I've always had terrible allergies, even as a kid. Growing up with a large amount of animals, and increasing over time, I needed something stronger. I went to my doctor, and he gave me free samples of this pill. He said to take one before bed and get at least 8 hours of full rest. Upon waking, I didn't have the normal morning sickness I usually felt (congested, runny eyes, dry mouth). I woke up refreshed, energized, and without fatigue."

For Allergies "This has been the most helpful drug for managing my daily allergy symptoms when used accordingly. I’ve used all allergy drugs from Zyrtec to Claritin and Allegra. When I first started using Xyzal to manage my symptoms around 2 years ago, I took a whole tablet in the evening, every evening. I noticed I was having trouble waking up, feeling lethargic every morning, dragging, and my symptoms always starting back heavy around 5-6 pm every evening. I had a severely dry mouth/eyes throughout the day, which made me feel even more lethargic. I adjusted to a whole tablet first thing in the morning, which didn’t work either because this is a potent drug, so one hour after I took it, it would hit me hard! I had trouble concentrating at work and the dry mouth/eyes and feeling lethargic was even worse than before. What has worked the best for me is I started taking 1/2 tablet early morning (5:30-6:30 am), and I feel great. It’s the perfect combination for me!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "So usually I take fexofenadine, but it's on the more expensive side for me, so I wanted to try Xyzal. I usually take my meds at night. About 2 hours after taking this medicine, I got super dizzy, enough to not want to drive. (Now this is on me, should have read the packet ingredients and instructions.) I can't take Cetirizine because I get ungodly drowsy, but after taking the medicine, I realized it's part of that family. It made me dizzy, dry mouth, and really tired. Should have read one here first, this was my first time ever trying it. I know you're supposed to take allergy medicine for 2 weeks to get used to it, but these side effects are a little too much for me."

Levocetirizine for Allergies "If you are looking to sleep night and day, this is a great sleeping pill. As far as allergy relief, none, only very dry mouth and throat. Threw the whole bottle down the toilet."

Levocetirizine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have been on Xyzal for a few years now for seasonal allergies. I am on the 5 mg dosage. I take it at night 20 minutes before I go to bed, and I sleep like a baby. When I wake, I have allergy relief all day: no runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, and hives during ragweed season. When my allergies are not bad, I cut back to a half pill, and it keeps my sinuses clear. If I come across a friend’s dog or cat, the small dose in my system keeps me in good shape in those situations too. It definitely works for me. The only cons for me are: sometimes a dry mouth, and it will make you sleepy if you take it during the day."
