"I was having 2 to 3 sinus headaches per week, and my doctor suggested this allergy medication. I have never regretted it. So far, I have had only 2 sinus headaches in the past 4 months that I have been taking it. It is expensive, but well worth the price of being virtually headache-free."

Levocetirizine "The one thing that reliably works for my year-round 'seasonal' allergies. At most I'll need a Sudafed when pollen counts are at their worst, but Xyzal has been my go-to for years and I haven't even noticed any side effects. Using the generic version OTC (5 mg), it only costs $10 per month."

"So usually I take fexofenadine, but it's on the more expensive side for me, so I wanted to try Xyzal. I usually take my meds at night. About 2 hours after taking this medicine, I got super dizzy, enough to not want to drive. (Now this is on me, should have read the packet ingredients and instructions.) I can't take Cetirizine because I get ungodly drowsy, but after taking the medicine, I realized it's part of that family. It made me dizzy, dry mouth, and really tired. Should have read one here first, this was my first time ever trying it. I know you're supposed to take allergy medicine for 2 weeks to get used to it, but these side effects are a little too much for me."

Levocetirizine "Felt very groggy. Hard to wake up. After 2 days experienced chest tightness, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations. Stopped for a few days and restarted. Same symptoms came back."

Levocetirizine "This is the best med for allergies ever! It will cause some sleepiness, so I wait until I'm at work, take the Xyzal, and drink one cup of coffee. Talk to your allergist about this stuff!"

Levocetirizine "I take 1/2 tablet in the morning. I am very sensitive to drugs, and this is the only one of many that causes no bad side effects. It’s a keeper!"

Levocetirizine "I take Xyzal, which is good, but I’ve noticed that I get extremely depressed when I take it. I’m going to try and lay off it till I see if this is what’s causing my mood swings."

Levocetirizine "Wonderful so far. Had to stop Zyrtec (cetirizine) because it dried my eyes. So far, Xyzal doesn't dry my eyes, and I have had zero side effects. Not sleepy, no other problems. Hooray."

"I've been told by at least two doctors that levocetirizine is for hives and skin-type reactions to allergies and not so much for sinus and rhinitis."
