Lemborexant for Insomnia "This is the worst medication on the market, so overpriced but never does work. I take 5 mg and can't sleep, instead, I wake up with a heavy head and loss of memory. I can't recommend Dayvigo to anyone."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I have had years of on-off insomnia. It used to occur when I had important or difficult things to get done the next day or deadlines. I recognize that I must have some kind of anxiety, and I have tried to overcome this with therapy. I have given up things I would have liked to do, such as teaching. I used to ruminate every night about what I would say and do in the classroom. I used benzodiazepam on and off for years but was worried about long-term side effects. Later in life, I found that even without anxiety I was having trouble getting sleepy. My body was tired, but my mind was not. Reading at night helped, but after age 65, I started to wake up after only 5 hours. I was interested to try this drug as it might (in rats so far) prevent dementia. The 5 mg dose worked to keep me asleep for 7 hours, which was amazing. It also made falling asleep faster. I had none of the side effects (nightmares, headaches). Hopefully, more research will unlock what is going on in our brains."

For Insomnia "For the first few months, it worked well, lasting about half the night. I found a few problems, some serious: 1) I had trouble staying asleep, but not falling asleep. Since I found that Dayvigo would not last through the night, I took it at about 3 AM rather than going to bed. After a few weeks, I found that I no longer could fall asleep and needed it to fall asleep too -- so it caused a sort of dependence. 2) After about 6 months on it, I started having headaches and nausea during the day and didn't link it to Dayvigo until about 6 months later when I stopped the Dayvigo, and the headaches and nausea disappeared after a few days. 3) I developed some digestive issues. After a long search, I found I had histamine intolerance. I went on a histamine-avoiding diet, which is a huge pain. About 6 months later, along with problem #2, I found that after getting off the Dayvigo, the histamine intolerance went away. Now, if I try Dayvigo, about a week later, the symptoms restart. BEWARE!"

Lemborexant for Insomnia "I tried a sample pack from my PCP. I really like it and have not experienced some of the horrible side effects. I sleep deeply. I do notice I wake up feeling a bit shaky. I was scared to try it, but other than the aftereffects, I would continue. I can't get the discount to work, and insurance won't cover it, so I won't pursue it. Also, I have had a few headaches upon waking-not sure if related or not."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Oh man, where do I start? This drug was a lifesaver at first. I had gone through all the others, and this was the first one that I felt had no side effects and did not cause dependency. Fast forward a few months. I am always tired despite sleeping most of the night. The sleep paralysis has made me dread bedtime. I have very vivid dreams and talk in my sleep. I even sleepwalked once and almost burned the place down, although to be fair, I drank tequila that day, but I have never sleepwalked before. I don't know how I put the fire out because I have no recollection of the night except the evidence the following day. I have constant nausea and headaches during the day. I move like a sloth. My high energy is no more. I have my depression under control, this is the only new thing I have in my meds. I am going to stop taking it for a few weeks and see if I improve. I will report back. It's been two days already, and I feel better. Keep your heads up. It is what it is."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Got me to sleep but had terrible headaches during the day. Bad nightmares and kept waking constantly. Even though I had 8 hours of sleep, it felt like I only had 3 to 4 hours. Woke unrefreshed and lethargic."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "Five weeks into 5 mg of Dayvigo after 20 years of Imovane. I have suffered a lifetime of insomnia that impacts my having to sleep and be alert doing 12-hour shifts in a high-stress job. I'm not certain if the side effects I'm experiencing are all from Dayvigo or from withdrawing from Imovane. I found the first week I experienced dry mouth, headaches, and intermittent sleep. Since then, I am sleeping deeply, waking a few times during the night and sometimes going right back to sleep, on other nights, not being able to return to sleep. I am still finding vivid dreams, usually close to the morning when I should be waking up, and occasional restless legs and some hallucinations. I am very tired during the day and actually slept off and on until 3:00 in the afternoon yesterday. I have to nap during the afternoon, but being 69 and retired, it is worth sleeping at night. I was finding I was having memory issues on Imovane, and if Dayvigo is safer, I will continue taking it. Hopefully, the side effects diminish soon."

Lemborexant for Insomnia "This drug gives you sleep paralysis and nightmares and no sleep at all. 5 mg is enough to make you suffer all night. You literally cannot move, and at the same time, you are not asleep. Like you're in a coma with night terrors. They are horrible nightmares that will have you so horrified you will never take this drug again. I've been on Silenor, which did nothing. Trazodone, which gave me a headache and stuffy nose. Nothing prepared me for the physical and mental anguish after a 5 mg pill. Not sleeping all night is better than using this drug. Zopiclone still works best for me. The doctor wanted to change it up a little, but do not take this if you are not ready to star in your own horror movie where you are the one being scared the hell out of. You have been warned!"
