"I am about to receive my 3rd injection. After the first injection, cholesterol went down, but triglycerides went up. Upon questioning my cardiologist, I was told that happens occasionally, but it should level out by the next injection. I had to go for a new lipid panel which showed my cholesterol was up again, but not as high, and triglycerides were down somewhat. Is this like a rebound effect? I don't know. The only side effect I had was a burning sensation as the medication was going in, and some minor aching at the site of the injection. I felt fine within 20 minutes."

Inclisiran for High Cholesterol "I am 76 years old and female and eat a heart-healthy diet. I am scheduled for a 3rd injection in March. To begin with, my cholesterol levels were not much over the suggested limits, but since I have hereditary high blood pressure and a family history of heart attacks, Leqvio was prescribed. I didn't want to take another prescription pill since I was already taking 5 (3 for high blood pressure, 1 for thyroid, and 1 for acid reflux). I preferred an injection 2 times a year. It is given in the fat of the arm, not the muscle, so uncomfortable side effects were minimal and brief. The only other possible side effect was cramping from my calf to my foot, mostly at night. This subsided after about a month. My bad cholesterol dropped significantly, and my good cholesterol remained very good. Although it does mean another trip to the doctor's office for the nurse to give the injection, it is very quick."

For High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "I was told it had not thrown up any side effects, but in actual fact, there are many documented. I've had a lot of musculoskeletal problems, aches, pain, unable to function well in the day, confusion, sleeping like a log, can't get up in the morning. I'm going to have one more injection. If the same happens again, I'm stopping it."

Inclisiran "Has lower overall count to < 110 and ratio is in range first time in life, received my 7th injection on November 24, but 3 days later dry skin patches popping out on my nose and around my mouth, on the sides of my head, back, and legs. Firmly believe Leqvio is the reason. Believe cholesterol is too low in my body and is having a negative impact on my immune system."

Inclisiran for High Cholesterol "Started first injection 2 weeks ago. A week later, very loose bowels for three days. I don't have any muscle and joint pain like the statin drugs caused. But I am very fatigued during the day, my legs are weak. Even after sleeping 8 hours. But if it lowers my LDL and I don't have to have bypass surgery again, I can live with it. I plan on starting strength training with weights to see if I can counteract the fatigue, plus B12 supplement."

"I have high congenital LP(a) and a genetic intolerance to statins. Repatha was effective, but caused severe back pain. Took a one-year medication break and tried to self-regulate cholesterol, but it didn’t work. Shortly after receiving the first dose of Leqvio – experienced right leg pain and lower back joint pain. Felt like a clicking motion w/sciatica and didn’t resolve for two months. About 3 weeks after the first dose, major hair loss began. Now coming out in patches. Also experiencing extreme eye dryness, and the eye doctor says formally successful treatments for Sjogren’s are no longer working. Seeing some increased skin hyperpigmentation and excessively dry skin. Do not have the overall joint muscle pain I had with statins and Repatha. Have not yet tested the cholesterol-lowering effect. Some increase in migraines. I really want this medicine to work, so I’m seeing multiple doctors next week to discuss the side effects. If they continue, may have to stop before dose #2."

"I have been on the study for about five years, having an injection every six months. I have not felt any discomfort apart from the last year when I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis and random itching, mainly on the torso. I do not know if I am on the placebo, but will ask at the end of the program."

Inclisiran for High Cholesterol "Nothing seemed to work to lower my cholesterol to acceptable levels, but using Leqvio along with a statin and ezetimibe brought my total cholesterol to 126. I have had no side effects from Leqvio. My only criticism is the cost."

For High Cholesterol "I have found inclisiran to be extremely debilitating. Blood pressure became very unstable. The pain in my pelvis and legs is very difficult to conduct a normal life with! I took this drug as I had a dreadful reaction to statins. I am now three months into my second dose and have a constant kidney infection. Terrible lymphatic problems in my legs. Deeply regretting having taken it; even though it lowered my cholesterol. It is all about quality of life! Mine has been very adversely affected by this drug. I certainly will not be taking it again."

Inclisiran for High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "The side effects listed are about right. Had some periods of dizziness too. I have had bouts of big-time fatigue, and I think that is a result of the Leqvio. The side effects are aggravating, but in general, are worth it for the results."
