For Osteoarthritis "I received the Synvisc-One injection 3 months ago, it did not help my pain. It caused me more pain and suffering. I can barely walk or sleep. The back of my knee, after waking up to start my day, I can't bend my knee without extreme pain. A week after the injection, I had started dragging my leg because the pain was unbearable. How can I have this injection removed from my knee? I can't live with this very, very, very bad pain from the Synvisc-One injection. The back and front of my knee is agony."

For Osteoarthritis "55-year-old male with arthritic knee. Had one Synvisc-One injection July 30th, 2018 (lot number 8RSLO11). I was in the hospital with infection 2 days later, with 3 arthroscopic surgeries to clean out infection. I contracted staph aureus bacteria in blood from injection. I can't walk, I have horrible pain, swelling in thighs, myositis (muscle inflammation) due to infection. In hospital 20 days. May not be able to have knee replacement in the future due to this infection."

For Osteoarthritis "I had a Synvisc-One shot 10 days ago. Was so looking forward to it as the cortisone shot I had gotten before it lasted a short 2 months. I had tried earlier to have the shot, but Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield would not approve it 'til I tried other options. So then the cortisone was done. Then they approved it. It was a pain through Wellmark. And a bigger pain when the Synvisc-One was done. Excruciating pain! Thought I was gonna pass out! Barely made it to my car. I am in much pain. Can't bend my knee. Shooting pain from the tip of my toe to my butt. I am waiting impatiently. Some people say they got theirs done with ultrasound guidance. I did not. I question if he hit the spot. He is one of the top orthopedists in Cedar Rapids. Said may take 30 DAYS!"

For Osteoarthritis "The first two nights, I could sleep on my side without pain, but the third night I could not, and the third and fourth mornings I woke up with sharp pain in both knees, making it difficult to walk. This is actually worse than before I had the injections. Am I expecting too much? When can I expect the pain to go away or at least not be present with every step I take?"

For Osteoarthritis "I have severe arthritis in my right knee. I had arthroscopic surgery 20 years ago, and now I am in need of a knee replacement. I have been getting cortisone injections and thought I might try Synvisc. I had the first injection Monday, September 11, and the next day I had swelling and severe pain. I have been in pain since, I can barely walk. I didn't know I had this kind of pain before I had this injection. And due to get another one Monday, but I'm not going to do it, I'm in too much pain, it's not worth it!"

For Osteoarthritis "Could barely walk. Osteoarthritis in both knees. Swelling all the time. Did the 3 injections in each knee. The pain was severe for 3 weeks. After that, knees are loosened up, swelling went down. I have a bit more movement, a bit more endurance, and a bit less pain. I'm not sure I will go through the 3 weeks of severe pain for the amount of relief. If my insurance didn't cover it, I would not have done it. Almost $3000.00 Canadian."

For Osteoarthritis "I am allergic to a lot of medicine but decided to try the 3 shots for osteoarthritis. For 3 weeks, I had sharp pains in my knee and hip. About 5 days after the third shot, that sharp pain went away. I walked my dog two days in a row - little guy, maybe 20 minutes. I woke up the next day with my knee so swollen and three inches above my knee. My doc removed fluid, super painful. This did nothing. It’s now been three days using a walker and being totally immobilized. I’m waiting to see if it’s an infection, but he doesn’t think so. I think it’s from the gel. I never had this happen to me before. Hoping after the weekend, he can do more to help. I won’t get this medicine again."

For Osteoarthritis "I had two prior series of Synvisc-One injections and had some relief. I get a lidocaine shot before each injection to help with pain. This third series has been awful. I have been in agony and have not been able to walk. My left leg calf muscles felt like they were being ripped apart. I was literally in tears daily. I did tell the medical staff of my pain. Third injection was almost two weeks ago and I am still in agony much of the time. Only when I have a full dose of prescription and OTC pain meds, plus lidocaine and other topical applications, in my system do I get relief. And I have to be very careful as to how I move, so as to not jar the leg and start the pain. I have been worse off than I ever was before."
