For Pain "Was on Vicodin for many years before switching to Hysingla. I take 30 mg a day and four 10 mg per day. Didn’t have my Hysingla for one month due to a manufacturing issue, and it was a nightmare. I love the 24-hour pain control of the Hysingla!"

For Pain "This is an update to my posting late Jan. Now, after 4 months of titration, I'm at 40 mg. But disappointed. I could sleep 12 hours each night if allowed to, constantly tired. And taking a new Hysingla pill every 15-18 hours for bleed-through pain. Definitely missing my old four times a day Percs, but I'd be doubling up on those too, I'm sure. So, Dr. says live with it. Pain level at 2. But never any better. And that's disappointing. Dr. won't go higher."

For Pain "At first, this was marginally effective, but only at double the prescribed dosage (20 mg). It stopped most of the pain for about 16 hours but took several hours to take effect. After being on this for about a month, it's doing almost nothing for the areas that are having chronic pain, and now is causing pain and stiffness in my hands, neck, and back, areas where I wasn't having any pain prior to this. Strange thing is, regular hydrocodone works pretty well, with none of the same side effects. Likely whatever is different with the formulation to increase the length of effect is what is causing the increased pain and stiffness. Really disappointing as I was hoping this would work."

For Pain "My 76-year-old husband was prescribed Hysingla ER last year and ended up in the ER with serotonin syndrome after taking one pill. He was admitted to the ER almost comatose. He was taking other serotonin-loaded medications and NEVER should have been prescribed this. After a week, he was put into a rehab facility. He contracted COVID and died."

For Pain "This medicine is a joke. They want to take you off Percocet and hydrocodone and put you on this medicine, which is supposed to be longer acting. But I’d rather take six Percocet 10 mg a day than one of these. They had me on 40 mg for four weeks, it didn’t help with my pain whatsoever."

For Pain "Update. Took Hysingla 30 mg for 1 month, with 10/325 Norco. Hysingla A.M. gave severe headaches and nausea. I switched to 10 pm and now I wake up less stiff, but can't tell the difference during the day. I still do Norco every 4 hours. I had a caudal epidural injection today. It was supposed to be my follow-up appointment too, but never had a chance to speak to the PA about the new Hysingla. She mentioned last month if I tolerated it well, she may increase the dose to 40 mg. I've tried to research 80 mg per day total, but can't find the answer, I know that's what she'll look at. I'd like to call and ask about getting Hysingla corrected to 40 mg for this month instead. I hate to waste money for no improvements again. I won't know if the caudal worked for a few days yet, all other injections only lasted 1-2 weeks. Answers??"

For Pain "My medical internist prescribed this medication for me. I've been taking it for three months or 2.5 months. I've noticed the medication doesn't work that much, and I would have to take Norco 10/300 for breakthrough pain because I could just stop taking this medication cold turkey, I would have serious withdrawals that could be deadly. So, he started me on Norco 10/300, 1 every four hours to prevent withdrawals. I noticed my weight had started to increase - I was 128 lbs, 5'4" and noticed my weight has increased to 140 lbs, and it's all butt and thighs. I'm so insecure about my body, I don't feel right. My husband told me it shouldn't matter just as long as he loves and likes my body. I love him so much, but there's me on the inside that yells out."

For Pain "I have had chronic pain since 2002. I have reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) in low back, both legs below the knee, both feet. Long story short, I have been on pretty much every pain med there is. Had over 200 nerve blocks. Had nerve endings burned off. PT, you name it. Now I have a medicine dosing machine inside my abdomen with a cath that runs directly into my spinal cord. I tried this Hysingla, it's worked great. I'm surprised so many people have not had relief from it. But if I didn't have the pump implant, I'm pretty sure I would be on the highest dose they make."

For Pain "Great for pain management. I had 28 years on opioids after 12 surgeries. Total disagreement with Florida wanting to regulate it to a 3-7 day supply when Florida allowed 'pill mills' to operate for years. Lost kin to Florida looking the other way, now want lawsuits against manufacturers? Absurd thinking, China is killing people by shipping opioids via USPS, buyers unaware of the potency of drugs such as fentanyl, oxy, etc., and Florida rehabs are milking my tax dollars with commercials showing resort living rehabs. Ignorance is bliss."

For Pain "Had great analgesia with OPANA 40 mg q 12 hrs. gradually upward over a three-year period. But not getting any pain relief (bilateral diabetic peripheral neuropathy) from 30 mg ER HYSINGLA for the last two weeks. Do I need to titrate higher quicker?"

For Pain "I started to take Hysingla ER last night. This morning my throat was bothering me and it felt like it was closing up. This evening I retook the medication, two hours later I'm breaking out into a rash. Has anyone had this experience happen to them? Does anyone know if this medication is derived from penicillin? By the way, it has done nothing for me pain-wise. They said this would last all day and 4-6 hours later I'm already taking morphine and/or Norco. It's so frustrating."

For Pain "Dr. started me on hydrocodone 20, and after being on Norco 7.5 for almost a year, the hyd 20 is a blessing. I take 1 tablet in the morning, and my pain is manageable all day @ 2-3 level. While on Norco 7.5 mg, I suffered from 7-9 daily! Physical therapy sessions are more productive, as well as gym workouts and gardening activities. I haven't experienced any unpleasant side effects."

"Because I am fast metabolizing all opioids, my meds need to be periodically either adjusted or changed to something else. I was switched to Hysingla ER 60 with Tramadol for breakthrough three times a day. The H worked the very few days, then, at least after midnight, I am in complete pain and withdrawal. It doesn’t work for me for more than 12-14 hours a day. And Tramadol is not strong enough, nor can I ever wait for 8 hours for a pill for break pain. These rules should not be so, for not everyone is the same. We are each individually different, and our bodies completely act differently to medication and pain."
