"I’ve been on and off Sprintec for two years. Even after missing multiple pills, I have still never gotten pregnant. I must say that it has doubled the size of my boobs, even my boyfriend has noticed. They are sore and full. I’m also always hungry, but I haven’t ever gained any weight. Would recommend."

"I was on Sprintec for over a year. I took it religiously because I have never wanted kids. I never missed a dose and took it at around the same time every day. I am now 16 weeks pregnant. So just warning some of you, be careful, don't completely rely on birth control pills. I gave my doctor a list of any medications I had taken while I was on Sprintec, and she told me that nothing that I was taking was known to affect Sprintec."

"Pros - Regular cycle - No cramps - No acne (other than a couple bumps a month) - Decreased period strength Cons - Morning sickness (felt nauseous anytime I had an empty stomach) - Decreased sex drive - Painful sex (unless there was a lot of foreplay) - Remembering to take a pill on time, if you didn't, your period could last 2 weeks Notes - Period would start 3 days after taking the white pills."

"Gives me pretty clear skin, other than a pimple or two on my forehead during my period. Slightly larger breasts, shorter and lighter periods, and I'm not pregnant. Very happy with this pill, and it's my first time on BC, so I suppose I got lucky. This was great for me, but everyone's body is different, so I don't think reviews for birth control pills are super smart in actuality..."

"Been on this Sprintec pill on and off for about a year for secondary amenorrhea (period loss). Taking in an attempt to balance out missing hormones. Trying to lose weight right now, and despite eating at what I calculate to be a slight caloric deficit, been steadily gaining weight, ~0.3 pounds a day. So distressing to see the number on the scale go up every single day despite doing everything 'right.' Already gained 5 pounds in the past 2-ish months due to binge eating but suspect that a chunk of that weight gain was from the birth control. Praying to God that it's only water retention. Also, weight gain isn't in 'right places' (though don't really want to gain weight in butt or chest either). IT'S LITERALLY ALL IN MY STOMACH AND THIGHS??? Why? Look like a whale with a watermelon-ass stomach and elephant-ass thighs. Cries. Other stuff: - Have acne, believe the pill worsens - Don't think I get mood swings/depression - Periods on the pill lighter than 'real' periods back when I got periods."

"I just finished my third pack of pills. Although I was skeptical about putting hormones into my body on a daily basis, this medication has worked out for me. I started it mainly because I was tired of the constant worries I have as I am very sexually active. Since starting the medication, I have received the benefits of lighter, shorter, less painful periods, larger breasts, clearer skin, and no baby scares! I have also had the added benefit of slower facial hair growth (yay for less tweezing and waxing!). For myself, the negatives that come with this drug are the feelings of a slower metabolism, bloating (although I haven't gained weight), and a huge decrease in my sex drive, which I actually prefer because now I play it coy in dating ;)"

"I'm a 33-year-old, healthy, petite female. I eat extremely healthy, do not smoke or drink, and lead an extremely active life. I've been taking Sprintec for over 4 years. I started feeling sick and went to the ER, all COVID and flu tests came back negative. Due to my cough and other symptoms, they did blood work and did a scan of my belly. Good news, no COVID, bad news, you have a pulmonary embolism. The doctor found several small blood clots in my left lung. I literally cried myself into a panic attack. They kept me in the ER for 3 days, an IV of Heparin in 1 arm, saline in the other, had blood withdrawn every 6 hours, and then was placed on another oral blood thinner called Eliquis when discharged. As of now, I have to take blood thinners for 3 to 6 months, maybe longer. You don't think it'll happen to you until it does. I caught mine early, and I hope this saves my life. But I'm writing this to warn others. My life has been thrown into chaos and fear. Find something safer."

"Fortunately, my insurance covers Sprintec! I’ve taken Sprintec for only 2 weeks. It hasn’t caused anything but some mild acne. It’s not bad at all. So far, it hasn’t changed my mood, sex drive, or anything serious. I’ll give another update after 2 months passes."

"This is my third month, and honestly, I love it. It's perfect for me, but you know what they always say: 'birth control does work differently on different women,' mainly because we all have different reactions to Sprintec. BUT! The 'Cons' about this pill. Yes, ladies, your breasts will be sore most of the time! Well, that's for me basically, but other than that, I haven't been feeling nauseous as much though, but that's only when it's close to my period. I don't get headaches, no swelling, no gain in weight, it's just perfect for me. Oh, and the most important thing I love, love, love about this pill: ladies, if you have bad cramps, let's say, 1-10, an 8-10, I highly recommend this pill because by the first month, my cramps weren't bad at all, it went to a 5."

"I love Sprintec! I've been on it for about 6 months and have had no side effects. No weight gain-in fact, I lost weight. No headaches, nothing. Regulates me very well and is effective birth control when taken correctly."

"I've been on Sprintec for about 3 years, and I take it around 1 pm (midday). Side effects were minimal. Cramping I only get when I'm about to start my period, but that's normal for me. My face did seem to clear up, but I do have outbreaks every now and then, but again normal for me (tends to be closer towards my cycle). One thing I did notice is I do tend to have a lot of vaginal discharge. So, for the most part, I've had no problems with this pill."

"I've been on this since 2015. My doctor recommended it over my previous Ortho Tri-Cyclen since it is the generic form, which I was on for about 3 years before. I have had severe acne flare-ups, but I rarely get any pimples nowadays. Also, very effective birth control. I take it every day around 9 a.m. when I wake, so it's easy to remember."

"I have been using Sprintec for almost a year now, my acne has cleared up but not fully gone. My periods are shorter from 7 days a week to 4-5, and the bleeding is a lot less with no cramps! I didn't really get any bad side effects in the first few months of taking it, like everyone else says, and never had a pregnancy scare. Would definitely recommend!"

"Can I say... awful cramps? Never in my life have I had cramps like these! I've only been on Sprintec for a month. My first period was this past weekend, and it was bad! I had to take muscle relaxers to get the pain to lessen, and those barely touched it. Also, I'm still bleeding four days into my new pill pack. I'm ready to be DONE with this ridiculously long period! My moods are insane. I'm emotional. One positive: my face is amazingly clear. That's it."

"I have been taking this pill for about 6 months. At first, I was fine, but then after a month or so, I started to notice that I was unbearably tired. I would constantly feel the need to sleep. I also felt bloated and gained several pounds. This pill has not only made me feel tired and depressed, I have also no sexual drive, and sex is often very painful now. It's effective because I'm not pregnant, but warning, it makes you feel crazy."

"I just want to start this by saying not everyone's bodies are the same and different pills can react differently. I've been on Sprintec for two and a half years now, starting when I was a teenager, and I love it. I used to have extremely painful cramps during my period and 7- to 8-day long periods. Since starting Sprintec, my periods are much lighter, much shorter, and way less painful! My overall acne has improved, I do break out around my period, but I think that is normal. I did not gain weight from this pill. You only gain weight if you give in to cravings that changes in hormones can bring. Just be aware of what you are eating and how much. I did not notice any change in my cravings, however. I love this pill, and it has worked great."

"I'm almost onto my 3rd week of this medication, and so far I'm completely almost satisfied with it. It does leave tons of breast soreness I NEVER had before. But it did relieve my cramps and heavy bleeding, which is the reason I started taking it. No weight gain or breast growth, though!"

"I LOVE Sprintec! This is my 5th month being on it now. At first, I was a bit moody and went back and forth from having a large to nearly no appetite. My breasts were also more tender, but that has passed. My sex drive also had its 'mood swings' as well, and that went away as well. The only thing that has continued is mild acne. I haven't gained any weight since on this (which was my main concern), but everyone will be different. My best friend is also on Sprintec, and she gained 20 pounds, so it really is a case-by-case thing. Also, I have had migraines my whole life, and they are GONE. I have tried everything, and this has truly saved my life! So if this is an issue, consider it!"

"I was nervous to start taking birth control after reading up on all of the side effects and being the worrier that I am. However, I've been taking Sprintec for 5 months now, and it hasn't had any negative side effects. I'm very relieved. I would recommend this brand to anyone looking into birth control. It has helped my minor acne greatly and also lightened my very heavy period so that now it is average and doesn't last 8 days! I would recommend setting an alarm on your phone for the same time every day so you remember to take it. It was definitely a great decision to start taking Sprintec. Best of luck!"

"I have been on this pill for 3 weeks. At first, everything was okay. But now I have the worst cramps ever. I guess different people, different effects. I have been so moody. Motrin doesn't help either."

"I just finished my first pack. I was so afraid since this was the first birth control pill I have ever been on. I was majorly concerned with gaining weight, but from what I see, my appetite may have even decreased a little. I want to eat more often, but I cannot eat nearly as much as I used to. My breasts already have grown about half a cup size bigger, which I am okay with. Normally, right before my period, I would break out just a little, but this pill has eliminated almost all of my acne except for maybe one minor blemish here or there. I do feel a little more emotional, but nothing so drastic that it would affect my relationship with others or my mental state. Overall, I am in love with this pill, no true negative side effects for me."

"'Studies show no connection between the pill and weight gain...' I went over 15 years on a steady weight, steady diet, and activity level. Started this pill and within 4 yrs 25 lbs gained. Yes, this pill caused me to gain weight. PROS: Reduced period cramps/pain, period on a set schedule, lighter, shorter flow, clear glowing skin (in combination with CeraVe and women's vitamin), calmer mood, no mood swings, less anxiety, no babies. CONS: No sex drive, weight gain, occasional feeling of morning sickness, recurring bacterial vaginosis (while being sexually inactive)."

"I was put on this birth control for polycystic ovarian syndrome. I am 27, 5'4", and 115 lbs. My entire life has been mostly period free. No pregnancy either. I am only on my second week of the pills, but side effects I've experienced so far include: blurred vision, very swollen breasts (32 naturally... My cleavage is spilling out of my cups now), sore nipples, mild nausea with hunger, strange dreams, blah attitude the first few days, and indigestion. I have never been on BC before, so this is gonna be interesting. Will update after a while."

"I had a bad experience with Trinessa, so I was scared to try another, but this has been great. No side effects except breast tenderness the first month, but it went away. After the first pack, periods were on track. My moods have been great, and no PMS mood swings. Also, no weight gain or nausea, and acne has finally stopped after years of struggle. That was the main reason for this pill."

"It's great for birth control (trust me, I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend several times a week, sometimes several times a day). HOWEVER... I have gained so much weight, and I've seen my sexual desire go completely absent from time to time. My main concern is the weight gain. About 15-20 lbs. in a year that I've been using them, the pounds snuck up on me around 6 months ago or so..."
