For Birth Control "I started Mili about 4-5 months ago. It has been the worst months of my life. I used to be on Previfem for 5 years, and they discontinued and switched me to Mili. I have always had slight anxiety but have never been truly depressed before until now. I had no idea it was related to the pill, but my boyfriend noticed that I had been acting differently, and so he found my BC and Googled it and told me that it had really bad reviews, with people often complaining about being irritable, anxious, and depressed. I was having trouble getting out of bed in the morning and was not able to get excited or happy about anything! I then realized that on my off week, when I have my period, I feel great and back to normal (because I am not receiving the dose of hormones that week). I finally made the connection after reading the reviews and called my pharmacist today to switch me to something else."

For Birth Control "This is the worst experience I've ever had with a birth control, or any medicine for that matter. I've been on it for two weeks, and it's making me miserable. I haven't eaten in 3 days because the nausea is so severe. Cold water is the only thing I can even think about keeping down. I've become very depressed and am much more anxious than I was before. I've had these problems in the past, but they were well controlled, and this medicine has set me back. I've stopped taking the pills and cannot wait for it to fully leave my body."

For Birth Control "Oh my goodness, I swear this birth control is terrible, terrible, and I’m not exaggerating. Before I took Mili, I was originally taking Mononessa, but then it got discontinued, and I went on Estarylla (they are all supposed to be generics of each other - same hormones, same strengths). When I took Mili, though, my acne went crazy and went back to the skin I had before I ever started birth control. The main reason why I take birth control is for my hormonal acne, and oh boy, I would never, ever recommend Mili. The anxiety and a bit of depression I got after having to suffer crazy breakouts again was disheartening to see. I literally had a new breakout every day I was on Mili. But now, after being on it for 3 months, it’s kind of improved, but I’m still not happy at all with my skin. Mili ruined my skin once again."

For Birth Control "Hoping this review will help someone avoid this discomfort. Echoing what many others have said, this is NOT the same as Sprintec, regardless of what your pharmacy tells you. This gave me headaches, increased anxiety and depression, insatiable hunger, and the worst diarrhea and stomach cramps that came and went and lasted for DAYS like an illness. Do not take this poison!"

For Birth Control "I was switched over to Mili from Sprintec without notice and assumed since they were the same dosage and interchangeable. After a month of taking Mili, it clicked that it was causing me all my painful bloating and cramps, as well as my random crying and anxiety. Highly do not recommend switching to Mili from Sprintec! Luckily, I was able to call my CVS and they switched me back to Sprintec on request."

For Birth Control "I took Mili as prescribed to regulate my hormones due to PCOS, and it caused me to lose 30 lbs in 4 months, made my hair thin and brittle, worsened depression, worsened anxiety, caused my feet and armpits to smell terrible (and that's never been a problem for me), lowered appetite, made me more angry, and completely demolished my libido. It did, however, regulate my period, so I didn't menstruate for 3 months straight, and it helped with unwanted hair growth."

For Birth Control "After insurance changed, I switched to this pill for about 10 months. I’ve always had trouble up, but this pill definitely heightened it. I had to stop taking it because I was throwing up every meal and ended up in the hospital after severely throwing up nine times in one day. I was also gaining weight faster than normal. It’s also caused my anxiety to spiral, and now I’m on medication for it. After stopping this pill, I’m starting to feel better, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Mili after being on Sprintec for 2 years, and it was the worst! I started having terrible chin acne like never before, and it still hasn’t gone away after being on Mili for about 6 months. Now I'm 2 months back onto Sprintec and still can’t fix my acne from the pill. I had nausea, spotting here and there, and my moods were terrible. I was so irritable and anxious my boyfriend thought something was seriously wrong with me. I don’t recommend this pill at all."

For Birth Control "I wonder if Mili even works or if it's defective. I was on Sprintec first for my upcoming IVF treatment, and Sprintec caused horrible side effects like twitching and extreme anxiety. I then got Mili because the pharmacy was out of Sprintec, and it seemed better, but I was to take only active pills to prevent a period. Yet, 2 weeks in, I got a heavy period that has lasted for 4 days now. I was supposed to have some light breakthrough bleeding/spotting at most. I don't think this product actually contains active birth control. Be careful."

For Birth Control "I can't even believe how many negative reviews there are about this pill. I relate to so many. I was 21 taking Sprintec as well for a long time, and it was the best pill I ever took. I am now 22 and have been taking Mili for a little close to a year now because Planned Parenthood on a telehealth call told me that it's the same exact thing. WRONG. Cramps, mood swings, cluster headaches, migraines, bloating, irritability, my anxiety is so high. I never felt this way before. I've been depressed to no end, so insecure within, no motivation. I feel so defeated by this and the doctors who are giving this out. But I guess this is how they get paid, ya know? To keep us coming back. Now I know we shouldn't be taking BC, but I'm 22, trying to be safe until I'm ready, and was told this birth control helps with PCOS patients. I am done. I deserve better. 12/28/21 is my appointment with a real GYN. I can't wait to get this problem fixed up. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL, LADIES... PLEASE. THIS IS NOT A “GENERIC” OPTION AS THEY SAY. THIS IS TORTURE."

For Birth Control "I have been on birth control for a few years. When I started taking Mili, I didn’t notice anything drastic. Months passed, and now I feel like a crazy woman. I cry all the time, get irritable very fast, and get anxiety. My bleeding is still heavy, and I get terrible cramps. This pill does nothing but make me down on myself. Please do your research."

For Birth Control "This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had taking a medication. I only took it for two days, and I am still sick! I was put on Mili to help regulate my periods, and I was a bit skeptical...the last time I was on the pill, it made me a little sick, but nothing like this. I can't sleep but feel exhausted and drained, severely anxious, awful stomach pain and nausea, and have a tight feeling in my chest. Please, ladies, do your research before you start this medication, and if you are smart, please do not take it!!!!"

For Birth Control "I started taking the Mili pill at the end of January after having an incredibly bad period that month, with horrible cramps that I had never felt before. I started birth control so I could pretty much immediately offset that, and so far it hasn't been too bad. I have definitely noticed mood changes; I'm crying, which I don't really do, and my regular anxiety and irritability levels were increased. I'm about to start taking the sugar pill week, and I'm hoping my cramps subside, but even the week before, I have been feeling very slight cramps and have had some breakthrough bleeding over the past few days."

For Birth Control "My daughter was on Sprintec, and the pharmacists put her on Mili, saying it was the same. IT IS NOT THE SAME. At this moment, my daughter is upstairs in her bed, struggling with severe anxiety and depression. Her face is completely broken out with cystic acne. She cannot stop crying and cannot figure out what's wrong with her. She says, 'She just can't with life.' Mili is an awful drug. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. This should be taken off the market, and those taking it should be prepared and understand the impact on women."

For Birth Control "I started Mili about 2 months before I got married. My mood was affected immediately. I became very sad and anxious. I also began to gain weight very quickly. Nothing in my diet had changed, in fact, I was eating healthier than normal. Overall, I just didn’t like how it made my body feel. The only plus was my periods were regular. And I didn’t spot when I started it."

For Birth Control "I was previously on the NuvaRing, and my provider switched me to Mili for a new hormone combination. I took Mili for three months before switching myself back to the NuvaRing. I had more spotting randomly throughout the month than I ever have before, and the spotting lasted longer than my normal period. I could have handled the spotting if it wasn't accompanied by the mood swings! I wanted to cry every day, felt anxious all day, and was easily set off into mood swing spirals. I felt like I was emotionally out of control and going insane. 10/10 would suggest finding another birth control because Mili is hands down one of the worst I've taken. I didn't get pregnant while on it, though, so there is a plus!"

For Birth Control "I have been on it for 2.5 months. I have had long cycles: 7 normal days and 5+ spotting after that, as well as random spotting between packs. My anxiety is out of control as well. I'm looking into a different pill now."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control exactly a week ago. Since then, I’ve had nothing but issues. I was prescribed Sprintec but was given Mili as a generic. The first day I started the pills, I had a migraine, and I’ve felt awful. I’ve been having heart palpitations, and it honestly feels like my heart is beating out of my chest. It seems like it skips a beat. I’ve never had heart issues before, and I've done nothing different, so I’m assuming the pill is causing this. My blood pressure stays pretty normal, but it’s been high since starting the pill. I feel very nervous and anxious as well. I tried to give it a couple more days just to see if maybe my body was just trying to get used to it, but I physically couldn’t. I don’t recommend this birth control to anyone."

For Birth Control "Like the other women who were given Mili in place of Sprintec, I truly feel it is not the same thing. Mili threw my body and hormones completely out of whack! After switching to this pill after being on Sprintec for about 8 years, I became depressed and all of a sudden had very high anxiety. I was crying all the time and just didn’t feel like myself. I couldn’t figure out why, and then it was like a light came on when I made the connection. Shortly after they switched my script to Mili is when my mood shift occurred. I’m so glad I figured this out and did some searching around me to see which pharmacies still carry Sprintec (Kroger carries it). To anyone given this script instead of their usual pill, I recommend trying to find another pharmacy first before accepting a substitute product!"

For Birth Control "I did not take any birth control before taking Mili. It made me terribly anxious and depressed. I did not even recognize myself in the mirror. I could not stop throwing up, no matter what. I had zero desire to eat and could go for an entire day without a single meal. I was following all the rules of taking the pill and still had the worst experience of my life. Would never recommend this for anyone."

For Birth Control "I've been on and off BC for many years. I chose this because, though Yaz gave me weight loss, I experienced suicidal thoughts and extreme depression while taking it. I don't want to get pregnant right now, so I informed my family that I'm starting a new BC and to let me know if I don't notice a mood problem. To my surprise, this pill has improved my mood. I have mild depression and anxiety but have never taken any meds for it. I feel great now. During the first two weeks on it, I felt like I had so much energy. It was pretty bizarre. I also have high androgens, and this pill is a no/low androgen option, which is perfect."

For Birth Control "This was the worst birth control I’ve ever been on. I’ve been taking birth control for 4 years, and this was the worst one I’ve ever been on. I’ve been on it for 4 months because I had to transfer my prescription over to the pharmacy at my college. Mili has no benefits. I have constant headaches. I’m always anxious and depressed because of it, especially right before I take the placebo pills. It has made my chin break out, even though I normally have very clear skin. My breasts are always tender as well. Worst birth control experience of my life. I just called my doctor to switch me because it is terrible!!"

For Birth Control "I was first taking Sprintec for three months with no problems, but when I went to the doctor to renew my medication, I was given Mili. Since taking them, my anxiety has gotten worse, I have been getting dizzy every day, and every time I’m on my period, it gets longer and longer. I am currently on the 16th day of my period. I took BC to shorten my periods, not make them longer, so I won't be using them anymore."

For Birth Control "Mixed feelings. It greatly improved my skin and didn't make me gain weight, which was great. However, it did not help my bleeding, by the 4th month, I had my period for 16 days. In addition, it made me feel anxious and not myself (as someone who doesn’t suffer from anxiety or depression, this was incredibly unusual). I noticed within the 2nd week of getting off of it, my sex drive increased."
