For Birth Control "It’s been only 3 days, and I’ve woken up each night with the most intense nausea and vomiting I’ve ever experienced. Haven’t felt like myself at all - anxious and crying for no reason. Going to stop taking this immediately."

For Birth Control "Started this medicine 11 days ago, and like most others, it was due to Walgreens no longer carrying my previous birth control. All last week I have felt dizzy, nauseous, anxious, and felt like I had a racing heart. I feel so out of it, I ended up going to the ER ($250 copay :( ). My blood pressure was 180/105!!!!! I have been on blood pressure medication for 2 days, and it has come down, but my bottom number is still ranging from 90-101. I honestly did not think anything of it because Walgreens stated it was the exact same, but when my friend specifically asked about birth control tonight, I put the two together. I will be calling the doctor tomorrow to try to get this switched. I just wanted to review so people knew to check their blood pressure considering this may be what caused mine to get to a very high level for me. Again, not 100% sure this is the cause, but it is the only thing in my life this past week that has changed."

For Birth Control "I got put on this birth control because they stopped making Mononessa, and so I decided to Google it and read the reviews for it, and let me just say these reviews scared me!! I was so hesitant to take Estarylla. The first week I took the pill, I was overly emotional, crying at everything. That soon passed, and the second week on this pill, my boobs were so sore and got so much bigger!! I woke up feeling like I had bricks on my chest!! But now, I have been taking this pill for 3 months, and both of those symptoms have passed, and I love this pill!!! Mononessa used to make me feel nauseous if I did not eat dinner when taking my pill, but this pill has never made me feel sick. I get my periods like clockwork and actually prefer this pill over Mononessa. I have had no breakouts either, my skin is actually the clearest it has been! I also have not gained any weight. I recommend taking this pill and trying it for yourself, because everyone is different."

For Birth Control "I have currently gained the most weight I’ve ever had. I work out every day because I am a collegiate D1 athlete, so I know that I’m gaining weight from this pill. I feel nauseous every time while taking this pill. My period was even more painful than it has been before when I was on Monessa. Everyone is different, but this pill is not for me. I will stop taking it immediately so I can get back to my normal self."

For Birth Control "Things this medicine has done to me or made worse: sudden severe headaches, anxiety, nausea. I have symptoms of depression-sleep problems, weakness, tired feeling, mood changes. Feeling of warmth in one or both legs."

For Birth Control "DO NOT take this pill. I’ve been on it 3 months, and almost immediately I was noticing side effects of irritability, nausea, breast tenderness (really, really tender like they’ve never been before). My breasts would be tender all the time, not just before my period. I was getting annoyed at EVERY THING and snapping. My poor boyfriend experiences most of the wrath, but I’m officially stopping it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND."

For Birth Control "First review I've ever posted about anything, but I felt like it was important to inform others. This pill was so horrible I could only take it for one day. I immediately was extremely nauseous for 6 hours, got terrible shakes and anxiety. Didn't speak to my boyfriend the whole day and almost backed out at a dinner with my best friends because my anxiety and depression were so bad. All within 12 hours of taking it. Which is not typical behavior for me. Not to mention my eyes and my mouth were so dry I could barely see driving with contacts. I know most reviews are negative, but I felt as though people were more inclined to write bad reviews, so I took it anyway, terrible mistake, definitely don't recommend although I know everyone is different."

For Birth Control "Would not recommend this pill. I was taking Mononessa, but the pharmacy said the manufacturer changed, and that’s why I was getting this one. The first week, I was nauseous all the time, like every waking moment felt like I could vomit. I tried to press on and continue since I read that for some people the symptoms subside, but the nausea persisted. This pill also has not helped with acne or my bad period cramps, which is my main goal with BC, but I’ve ended up with bloating, nausea, and extreme moodiness."

For Birth Control "From the first day I tried this BC, I've had complete nausea and loss of appetite. I got on the pill for weight gain, and still no change. I'm not pregnant, however, the nausea is unbearable and I will stop taking it."

For Birth Control "Since starting this medication, I've had horrible nausea and the need to drink a lot of water. I thought maybe I'm becoming diabetic since diabetes makes you feel so thirsty, but we have glucose meters and it's always in normal ranges 90-120. Yet, I feel like I haven't drank water all day, and my lips are dry and chapped. I called my OBGYN to get it changed, but they claim it's not a side effect from the pill, and I haven't seen this side effect on here. But what a coincidence that I decided to stop taking the Estarylla pill, and I'm not compelled to drink as much water as I did when I was taking it. I don't recommend it."

For Birth Control "Firstly, I should provide background info on my current health. Birth control pills affect everyone differently. I had a very timely period with heavy bleeding the first 2 days and terrible cramps some cycles. I also have the tendency to be iron deficient. Initially, I experienced a lot of nausea on this pill. I was told to stick it out for 3 months and then decide if I wanted to change. Within those 3 months, I dealt with a lot of nausea and vaginal discomfort (itching, odor, discharge). I never had those issues before. It was enough for me the day I had to stop what I was doing on the job and sit near a window before I threw up. I took the pill at night and had a meal with it. The only time I felt relief was on the sugar pill."

For Birth Control "It works well as a birth control, however, I have been on different forms of Ortho Tri-Cyclen for 10 years, and the insurance company just recently switched me to this after I had my daughter. I have NEVER had any side effects from any other pill, but these make me nauseous and lightheaded about a half hour after I take them, and it lasts all day. I've tried taking them with food, water, at night. Nothing helps. Privifem and Sprintec were SOOO much better."

For Birth Control "I've taken this for four days. All four of the mornings following, I have been extremely nauseous, and two of the mornings, I have thrown up. I also had a total emotional breakdown last night over nothing and sobbed for like two hours. Would not recommend."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking Estarylla three months ago because I needed to take a birth control with a higher estrogen dose in hopes of getting rid of my ectropion cervix. The first month I was on Estarylla, I was very nauseous all the time, and I bled for about a month straight. My period normalized after that, but my periods during the placebo week were extremely heavy, and I was bleeding through ultra tampons. I am now on my third month, and I am experiencing breakthrough bleeding all the time. The only positive about this birth control is that it cleared my skin."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Previfem for years with no problems: I had flawless skin, light periods, no weight gain. My pharmacy randomly switched me to Estarylla, and it’s been THE WORST. I now have the most painful cystic acne, and every pore on my face is visible! I’ve had random bleeding, embarrassingly strong and weird odor, bad nausea/vomiting, and abnormal food cravings too. I’ve thought I was pregnant so many times on this because of these side effects. I am extremely anxious all the time and paranoid on top of it all. For those still considering it: IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK!! I have more left of this pack, but I’m throwing it out, I can’t take it anymore! I’d rather prevent pregnancy by being abstinent than to keep suffering on Estarylla."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this pill. I was switched to Estarylla after my drug store discontinued Mononessa. I called every drug store in town, and nobody has it anymore. They assured me Estarylla was the same, it is the generic for Mononessa, Ortho-Cyclen, Sprintec, etc. I’ve taken it for 3 days, and all 3 days I have had excruciating headaches and nausea. I skipped a day of taking it just to see if it was causing the headaches. I had no headache the day I skipped. Took it the next evening, and headache pain woke me in the middle of the night, and I feel like I could throw up. Absolutely horrible. I will be trashing these pills. Everybody responds differently to medications, just be cautious with this one!"

For Birth Control "I was switched to it after Sprintec was discontinued. It is one of the generics, so it's supposed to be the same strength. Estarylla is awful! My periods are heavier and longer, and then I get 2-3 days of just 'lining chunks.' So gross. I also think the hormones are not a good mix for me. I am always bloated and nauseous, yet having crazy cravings. Worst of all, I get depressed and am just so down the first two days of my cycle, and I know I am not either of those things normally."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medication for only 12 hours, and I have the worst nausea ever. I took the pill at about 9 pm last night and didn't sleep very well, but I did feel normal until about 7:00 this morning. I woke up with what feels like terrible morning sickness. I've been on the toilet with an upset stomach, and I'm extremely nauseous. I'm nervous to even continue this medication because of how crappy I feel in just 12 hours of taking this medication!"

For Birth Control "My PP thought I needed a higher dose of estrogen in my pill, so I was switched to this pill. I’ve been totally not myself recently. I have given this pill the suggested amount of time and I feel as though it’s getting worse. I’m EXTRA moody, unhappy, extremely irritable, zero patience, nauseous a lot of the time on top of already having acid reflux, anxious. About 10 days before my period, these symptoms flare tremendously. It affects my career and my relationships. It’s almost scary. I’m looking to get off of this pill ASAP. So not worth it!"

For Birth Control "Please, please do not take this. This specific birth control pill put me in the worst depressive state. I didn’t even recognize myself or my feelings. They were so dark and scary. I was also nauseous every night, I would wake up multiple times a night and was always tired at work. I would also cry every day out of the blue. I would also have panic attacks. My poor boyfriend, family, and roommates had to go through this horrible time with me. The morning after I stopped taking it, I felt a drastic change, I felt like myself again. I’m scarred from this, will never trust a pill again."

For Birth Control "4th day of taking this pill, I felt nauseous, tired, and lazy! There was one point where I felt like I couldn’t stand up. 5th day of taking the pill, I was an emotional wreck. I was so irritated and tried so hard to hold back my tears, but I cried like a baby... for no reason... I’m so annoyed."

"I started taking this pill after the birth of my son in September. The first 2 months were fine, and my periods were great. It's now December, and I need to quit taking this pill. Horrid acne right before my period. I have now had 2 bouts of diarrhea and nausea so bad that I thought I was getting the stomach flu. I really hope it's this pill because this nausea is causing me to lose weight, and I can't deal."

For Birth Control "Started taking this medication a month ago, and I can say I hate it. The pharmacy switched my birth control brand to this from Monenessa. I was confused why I was put on this until the pharmacist told me that day insurance switched brands. Within the first month of taking this brand, I broke out in hives. Every time I take it on an empty stomach or full stomach, I feel nauseous, like I'm going to throw up. And it's also changed my mood swings. I would not recommend this pill for anyone, not to mention I broke out in acne as well. The brand I was on before worked wonderfully, and I want to go back ASAP. On a lighter note, this medication did make my menstrual cramps a whole lot lighter, and I'm not as heavy with bleeding. I still want to go back to my old brand."

"I was on Mononessa for about 6 months for my PCOS until my pharmacy suddenly handed me this pack. I read online they had the same doses, so I didn’t mind about the change. Ever since I’ve been on Estarylla, I’ve been getting TERRIBLE nausea and headaches about one week before my period, and the nausea persists until my period ends. This month I had those two symptoms with dizziness added. I have also been having terrible mood swings, and I’ve been really irritated about small things. I will call my pharmacy in hopes to get Mononessa again because even though they have the same active ingredients in equal doses, they are NOT the same for my body."

For Birth Control "It has been an okay pill for me so far, but reading these reviews makes me wonder. I have been depressed, strong anxiety, and random cries while taking this pill, but I thought it may have been postpartum depression. I also have random feelings of nausea and have thrown up for no reason at least three times with this pill in the five, almost six months."
