For Birth Control "I really didn't like this Estarylla birth control. I was initially on Femynor (LOVE), but one day I picked up my prescription and I was given Estarylla. I called my gynecologist, and the nurse said it was a generic brand and shouldn’t affect me much, but it was AWFUL. I was on it for two months. I probably didn’t give it time to settle in, but Femynor never gave me this many issues so early on. I was very depressed, unmotivated, broke out, tired, experienced a lot of anxiety attacks, and super nauseated. I know everyone is different, but for me, it was the worst. My period went rather smoothly, I will say, but other than that, AWFUL! I recommend Femynor 10/10."

For Acne "I started this pill barely a month ago (I get my period next week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed), but I love it. I read so many terrible reviews before I started it, and I was super anxious, but now that I've been taking it, I actually like it more than the Mononessa that I had been on. I lost the weight that I gained from the Mononessa, my skin stopped breaking out aside from a few pimples here and there, and it doesn't make me nauseous like Mononessa did. I used to have cystic acne around my jawline and sometimes on my cheeks, and I've gotten 1-2 since starting, but they went away in literally a day's time. I was honestly amazed. I'm a pharmacy tech, so I knew it wouldn't be much of a change, but I didn't think it would be this much better! If you're unsure about it, give it a chance just because everyone's bodies are different. You could be one of the few like me that it works miracles on. :)"

For Acne "The first two months of use, I broke out bad. I read reviews that said this might happen as it's balancing everything out. I stuck with it. 14 months in and I'm a happy girl. Little to no cramping (used to be quite severe), 3-4 days of light bleeding, and my skin is so happy! Occasionally get a pimple or two, but absolutely no more cystic acne! My moods are balanced and I haven't experienced weight gain. I didn't experience any nausea or abnormal pain. I'm 37 and this is the right pill for me."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control pill I’ve ever been on, and I was a little scared when I read the reviews on Estarylla. Now I’m on month 6, and everything stayed normal or improved. My weight did not change at all that I am aware of, might be since I do workout 5x a week and/or have a “balanced” diet. At times, I notice that my boobs might be a little bigger than usual, but I believe it may be part of natural “pmsing.” My periods got so much lighter, usually, last 4-5 days at most, and only the first day is a heavier flow. No cramps like I used to experience and no mood swings either. I only get very small spots of acne a week before my period, but other than that, my skin is clear all month! Haven’t had pregnancy scares either."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My whole life I’ve had irregular periods, and without having some guidance, I didn’t seek medical help until now because I had abnormal bleeding (I bled for 2 months straight). My doctor told me to take Estarylla for the next 3 months to see how it would affect my flow. Once I started taking it, it immediately helped slow down and stop my flow. 2 weeks later, my period came back, but I expected it to because the birth control is to regulate my period. I had my period for way longer than I’ve ever had it (typically have it for 5 days, and then I’m good, but this time it lasted a week and a half). Then I got a 4-day break, and my period came back AGAIN. Called my doctor to ask what to do, and all I was told was this is normal. This medication also gives really bad gas and stomach pains, acne, and mood swings. DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING."

For Birth Control "I'm so glad I decided to Google this medication and found these reviews. I thought I was going NUTS! My hormones are out of control on this medication. Like others, my pharmacy switched me to Estarylla from Sprintec. I was fine on the Sprintec, but on this stuff - I've had HORRIBLE mood swings, my acne is out of control, spotting, nausea, weight gain, headaches. I thought I was pregnant! I'll be switching as soon as I can."

For Ovarian Cysts "I hate to write a review this awful, but I have to. People should know how life-altering this pill is. I started taking Estarylla a week ago and had to throw them in the trash. If you have, or have ever had, any bouts with anxiety or depression, do not even look at this pill. I don’t remember a time I have felt so low and lethargic, and then let’s not forget the cystic acne that popped up on my jaw and chin. If it works for you, that’s great, but it has torn me up!"

For Birth Control "I'm at the Dr. now to refill this birth control medication, and I couldn't remember the name, so I called my pharmacy and then Googled it since I was waiting. I can't believe the bad reviews, but everyone's body is different. I've been on this BC for 2 years now, starting my third. I used to break out, and I haven't had one pimple since starting this medication. I haven't gained any weight or experienced any type of emotional side effects. I love it and will continue using it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was a little excited to say the least but nervous since I haven’t been on any medications since my tubal ligation 6 years prior. Within the first few weeks, I was already bleeding. I bled for 9 weeks straight. It was miserable, and then if to make things worse, I wanted to take out everyone around me for about 5 weeks. I had extreme anger issues, depression, my skin was breaking out. I talked to my doctor many times and was told to give it a little time to see how I adjusted. After 6 months, I decided I couldn’t take it anymore. I would have times that were okay, but I often felt like rubbish on this pill. The last straw was when I started a new packet of pills. I was fine the first week, started bleeding mid-2nd week, and by the third week, I was passing large blood clots for days, and then I got my period the 4th week. This pill isn’t for me, and now I’m starting something new. Hoping for better results!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on it for 3 years with 0 side effects. It's effective in that I've never become pregnant. I haven't experienced mood swings like everyone else posted about. I never get breakouts. The only reason I've gained 10 lbs in the last 3 years is from CrossFit, and it was muscle. I have absolutely no complaints with Estarylla."

For Birth Control "I have never in my life had acne, but ever since I have been taking Estarylla tablets 28s, I have acne, and my period doesn't come on time, it comes 4 days late. I always take it at the same time every day and never miss a day. I would NOT recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "For the love of God, do not take this medicine. MOOD SWINGS ARE NONSTOP. My poor boyfriend tried to tell me they started since I got on this pill. I didn't believe him until I read reviews and realized everyone who takes this has the same problem. I started this on the first Sunday, which just happened to be the first day of my period. I've been on my period every week since I started taking this, and I took the first sugar pill 3 days ago, and now the bleeding is severe. My acne is awful, and my boobs doubled in size from swelling. They don't even want to stay inside my bra. Do not take this. Please."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control about a month ago after switching from the generic brand of Yaz (Loryna, I believe), and I am about to finish my last pack. Before taking it, I was a bit hesitant because of the many bad reviews about it. But, after a month of taking it, I am happy to say I haven’t experienced barely any negative side effects. I haven’t felt depressed or anxious, I don’t believe I’ve gained weight (although I don’t have a scale to measure myself), and I haven’t had any headaches, stomach pain, etc. I have noticed a few pimples, but I also have been slacking on my skincare routine lately. All in all, I would suggest giving this birth control a try, and don’t let the bad reviews scare you. Yes, everyone’s body is different, but you don’t know how it will affect you until you try it for yourself."

For Birth Control "I took Estarylla for roughly 3 weeks. It was miserable. I experienced bad hair loss, limp and lifeless dried-out hair (nothing changed in my hair care but this pill), greasy skin/cystic acne, severe diarrhea, headaches, insomnia, yeast infection, brain fog/forgetfulness, my personality changed to be constantly grouchy/severely depressed/aggressive/full of rage. I was uncomfortably bloated and felt the immense urge to eat everything around me. I was a train wreck. I couldn't even finish the pack, I have to work full-time, and the way it made me feel hindered that from happening. (I missed work several times because of how awful I felt.) It affects everybody differently, so take that into consideration. I have a history of being intolerant to hormonal birth control pills, and I also have a history of anxiety and depression."

For Acne "Now it makes sense. I have had acne and nervousness lately and was asking myself what’s wrong. Why am I feeling so tired for the most part of my life? If I got a headache, drinking water was very much enough to take it away in the past, and then last month I got a migraine that won’t go away, I had to take Tylenol. I kept asking myself what has changed, but guess what, now I know - they changed my birth control from Sprintec to this Estarylla. It is crazy how I feel. I’m calling the pharmacy first thing in the morning. Thanks for everyone who puts down reviews, coz I would have never known what was happening to me."

For Birth Control "I started taking Estarylla after I had my baby because the pharmacy changed my prescription. It has been working for me even if I don’t take it at the same time every day. Also, my periods have been very regular and light. I don’t cramp as much and as badly as I used to. I might have a little acne, but nothing serious. I have not experienced any other side effects besides a little extra discharge. I would recommend this medication."

For Acne "I was on Monessa for about 1-2 years. I recently went to the pharmacy to pick up my regular prescription until they advised me that the manufacturer changed, which was why they gave me Estarylla. The only time my face would get a pimple or two would be when I would be getting my period. My period is not due for another 2 and a half weeks. I’ve only been taking Estarylla for a week, and my face has been breaking out like never before. I’m very high on skin care routines, and it isn’t helping my skin at all."

For Birth Control "I have been on at least four different brands of birth control over the last 5 years of my life, and this has hands down been the worst one. I increased the amount of estrogen I was taking and started this birth control to help me with the hormonal acne I was getting around my chin and lips. It only got worse the week before my period. In addition, my anxiety got so bad I had my first panic attack. Everyone has different reactions to medication, and this was mine. At least it kept me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy doesn't carry the Sprintect birth control that I have been using for the past 5 1/2 years anymore and switched me to Estarylla and said, 'It is exactly the same thing.' I have been taking it for 12 days. The acne I have gotten in the past 12 days is out of control. Deep, cystic acne that I have never experienced in my life, all over my face and down my neck and arms. I am 26 years old, and I have pubescent acne all of a sudden. My mood swings have been horrible, and I am exhausted at the end of the day. My poor husband has been avoiding me. I called my doctor today and am switching to a pharmacy that carries the brand I used before Estarylla. I wish I would have done a little research on this pill before taking it!"

For Acne "I am 26 and have tried many different types of oral birth control. The main reason I am on BCPs is for acne. Overall, this pill is not bad. I have been on it for about 3 months now, and my face has cleared up from the last pill: minimal acne. My mood is stable, no changes. The first 2 months, I spotted for a week or two in between the middle of the active pills. Overall, a lighter flow and no cramping. I have noticed my breasts have been very tender. The major downside of this pill is that it has decreased my sex drive, vaginal dryness, and some painful sex. My boyfriend is not a fan of any of this, nor am I. The main reason I am giving it a 7 is switching next pack to low dose levonorgestrel."

For Birth Control "I gave Estarylla a 1 because of my side effects since starting it. The only good thing I can say about it is that I did not become pregnant while on it. Changed insurance last year, and new insurance changed me to Mononessa. Remained normal with my period right on track. Four months ago, insurance changed me again to Estarylla. Since starting Estarylla, I have had extreme weight gain, increased gas to the point of constantly being bloated, very dry skin and acne, mood swings, crying about things that wouldn't bother me normally, increased depression, anxiety, and cramping in my legs. My period became completely off track after years of being balanced. For 4 months, I have not known what day I would start, and either heavy or so light, from 3 to 7 days, and the worst cramps of my life. Went to my GYN last week, and she told me I should have called her sooner. Told her I was trying to give it a fair shot. She changed me to something else, and I can't wait to start it. Estarylla has made me miserable! If you have another option, try that first."

For Endometriosis "I was on Mononessa on and off for about 10 years. It got discontinued, they gave me Estarylla. I refused to take it, but they assured me it's 'exactly the same.' I have endometriosis, and I can confirm that this has helped those issues. I don't get bad cramping, heavy bleeding, back pain, or leg pain anymore. However, since starting it about 6 months ago, the side effects have been getting increasingly worse rather than better. The side effects I have are: migraines, bloating, extremely bad gas, diarrhea, breakthrough bleeding, hair loss, acne, sensitive vision, loss of appetite, sore breasts, and probably more that I can't think of. I would say the worst out of all of these is migraines. If you have a history with migraines, I would not recommend you take this. I do not have a history with regular migraines, but this has caused them for me. I do have a history with ocular migraines, though, and I went from getting 1-2 every year to getting at least one every month."

For Acne "Your acne will clear!! For me, it didn’t heal my acne the way I wanted it to, it just made me break out bad. Then it got better after a month or two! It does get better. Try not to touch your face. Really messed up my vision after taking for so long."

For Acne "I broke out pretty bad about two months ago. I had a lot of tiny bumps on my forehead and cheeks, so I got on Estarylla, and the first week it was clearing up my face pretty well, but out of nowhere, it made me break out even worse. I woke up one day and had four huge cystic bumps on my forehead. I never wanted to leave my house, my face just looked so beat up. After that, it just kept getting worse, and it felt like it would never end. But I didn't want to just stop taking the birth control right away, I read online that it could be my body getting used to it. I am now on month two, and my skin has cleared up immensely. I think my body purged all of the things clogging my pores and pushing everything to the surface. I know everybody is different, but if you're only on the first month of taking this, I would stick with it for maybe a couple more months!"
