For Acne "From someone who is new to birth control - I tried Yaz and legit almost had a meltdown. I was super depressed and gained weight. Estarylla SAVED me - there is more ethinyl estradiol and a different progestin (norgestimate). I feel like my normal self. My skin is GLOWING. I didn’t gain a pound, I’m actually losing weight. And I don’t have any headaches or nausea. I’m starting my 4th month now! It really is true that different birth controls work for different bodies. My body has always been extra messed up and extremely sensitive and odd. For some reason, this pill, that everyone else hates, has been my savior!!! Anyone with cystic acne, PCOS, and oily skin might wanna give this a shot. Don’t immediately rule it out."

For Birth Control "I will say, I was very hesitant to try this after reading all of the negative reviews, especially since this was the first time I've ever been on birth control, but keep in mind that not everyone reacts the same to medication and contraceptives. I am currently on my 4th pack, and my period starts at the same time every month and is a lot lighter, and I also don’t cramp as bad as I used to. As far as the birth control aspect of it, it definitely works if used correctly. On my first pack, I did experience a little bit of nausea and mood swings, but now that I’m used to it being in my system, I don’t experience any side effects. I recommend it."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I really enjoy this pill. When I first read the reviews, I was terrified, but I still went through with taking this pill for the first few months. In the first month, I found myself getting slightly nauseous every time I took the pill and that I was getting moodier. But after the first few weeks, everything balanced out, and I'm completely fine. I'm sexually active, and my partner and I have unprotected sex regularly. No baby here! I'm currently on my fourth month taking it, and I feel fine. I've had no significant changes in acne (actually, I think it's improved my skin), my weight has stayed the same, my mood is under control, and my libido is the same as it's always been. Just wanted to leave a good review here for Estarylla."

For Birth Control "I took Mononessa for years and never had a problem. One month, my pharmacy gave me Estarylla, and I immediately noticed a difference. When I called my doctor to let her know I didn't want the Estarylla and wanted the Mononessa back, like I've always had, they just acted like I didn't know what I was talking about, since it is 'basically the same drug.' Once Mononessa was taken off the market, my doctor started prescribing me Estarylla on the regular. It does what it needs to when it comes to birth control, but the side effects are absolutely awful. I have major nausea, headaches, and depression when taking this birth control. I also found it had heavily decreased my sex drive and has given me severe mood swings. I quit taking the drug for a month or two, and all symptoms went away. I don't think I'll ever take it again after I finish this month."

For Birth Control "I really didn't like this Estarylla birth control. I was initially on Femynor (LOVE), but one day I picked up my prescription and I was given Estarylla. I called my gynecologist, and the nurse said it was a generic brand and shouldn’t affect me much, but it was AWFUL. I was on it for two months. I probably didn’t give it time to settle in, but Femynor never gave me this many issues so early on. I was very depressed, unmotivated, broke out, tired, experienced a lot of anxiety attacks, and super nauseated. I know everyone is different, but for me, it was the worst. My period went rather smoothly, I will say, but other than that, AWFUL! I recommend Femynor 10/10."

For Acne "I started this pill barely a month ago (I get my period next week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed), but I love it. I read so many terrible reviews before I started it, and I was super anxious, but now that I've been taking it, I actually like it more than the Mononessa that I had been on. I lost the weight that I gained from the Mononessa, my skin stopped breaking out aside from a few pimples here and there, and it doesn't make me nauseous like Mononessa did. I used to have cystic acne around my jawline and sometimes on my cheeks, and I've gotten 1-2 since starting, but they went away in literally a day's time. I was honestly amazed. I'm a pharmacy tech, so I knew it wouldn't be much of a change, but I didn't think it would be this much better! If you're unsure about it, give it a chance just because everyone's bodies are different. You could be one of the few like me that it works miracles on. :)"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This has been the worst experience! I am 39 and just got put on birth control for the first time due to PCOS. I took Junel for 3 months with no major side effects other than almost constant bleeding, so I was switched to this to control the bleeding. I’ve taken this for one week and can’t get out of bed. I’m getting hot flashes/chills and very nauseous. I have no appetite, and thinking about food makes me gag. I’ve alternated between constipation and diarrhea. My anxiety is through the roof, and it takes effort to leave my house. I get dizzy/shaky and feel faint every day, and my heart is racing. I am going to stop taking this and hope I can get back to normal."

For Birth Control "After years of being on this birth control, I just finally figured out that it’s what’s been making me sick all this time! This pill gives me debilitating nausea and vomiting for the first couple weeks of my pack every month. This pill has major side effects compared to other birth controls. My girls will be SO sore for a whole week, I’m like an emotional roller coaster, and as mentioned before, the nausea and vomiting. If you’re looking to switch birth controls or are just looking at this because your insurance changed your brand, run. DO NOT TAKE THIS."

For Birth Control "I'm so glad I decided to Google this medication and found these reviews. I thought I was going NUTS! My hormones are out of control on this medication. Like others, my pharmacy switched me to Estarylla from Sprintec. I was fine on the Sprintec, but on this stuff - I've had HORRIBLE mood swings, my acne is out of control, spotting, nausea, weight gain, headaches. I thought I was pregnant! I'll be switching as soon as I can."

For Birth Control "In April of 2019, I started Norethindrone. I experienced bleeding almost every two weeks, so I asked my doctor what I should do. She changed me to Estarylla in September. Within two months, my periods were regular again. Like clockwork, my period starts on the Wednesday of my “period week” and usually lasts until Sunday or Monday. Also, I used to get migraines very often, and now I rarely get them. I do have to say that I take my pills in the morning at 7:30 without eating, and I do experience slight nausea around 2-3 occasionally. Other than that, I’ve had a positive response to this medicine."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I really don't like this pill. I feel sick all the time. Headaches, blurred vision, motion sickness, hot flashes, and depression. My vagina is always dry and itchy. I am so sick to the point of leaving work and lying in bed all day. The weight gain is horrible. I was on it for period control."

For Acne "So, I started Estarylla in May 2020. Previously, I had switched my insurance and did not get a new script to continue what I was taking, which was Blisovi Fe. So, I had a lapse of birth control from Jan to May. I wanted to try something that would help my cystic acne. I started this and I'm a wreck. I'm breaking out worse than I did in high school, and I'm 26. That's not even the worst of my symptoms. I'm miserably nauseous and having diarrhea most mornings waking up for work. Don't have much of an appetite. My boobs have just recently started hurting and becoming more sensitive. I'm losing a significant amount of hair. I know spotting can occur, but I just finished a random 2-week period and NOW I'm getting to that spotting they talk about. Everyone's joking that I'm pregnant. I took my first pregnancy test and no, I'm not prggo. I'm irrationally emotional more than normal and just feel MISERABLE. I'm taking myself off this tomorrow."

"I’ve seen the negative reviews on here, and I have only been on this pill for a short amount of time, but my experience has been almost 100% positive. As someone who has struggled with gaining weight and with anxiety for a very long time, I was worried about starting birth control. However, since starting, I have been able to gain and keep on 3 pounds so far, and my anxiety has been at an all-time low. The only thing I can say is that for about an hour or so after taking it each day, I will get slightly nauseous, but if I eat before, usually I am fine. This pill has been an absolute lifesaver for me. Every person reacts differently to medication, so I cannot speak for others, but I personally would recommend this pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Could not say enough bad things about this medicine!!! Abnormal bleeding, oily skin, mood swings, headaches, weight gain, racing heart, shortness of breath, cramping, night sweats, and nausea just from taking this pill for less than a month. Do not understand why anyone is even getting prescribed this pill, especially after reading all the reviews I’ve read on it. Absolutely ridiculous!!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Estarylla about a month ago, and I had been taking birth control for almost 6 months now, but my brand got changed. I was taking Femynor with no problems at all, but about a month ago, I experienced very bad bloating, stomach pains, constipation, nausea, and loss of appetite. When my period came, the symptoms didn’t change. Now, on my second month, the symptoms are starting to ease. I’m still taking it. I read about the side effects on the box, and nothing I’m experiencing is on the box, but reading all these reviews, I should talk to my doctor about changing my brand."

For Acne "I am about three weeks into my first pack of Estarylla BC, and my acne is worse than ever before. I was on Trinessa for five years and still had some annoying hormonal acne, and I was beginning to spot in between periods, so my gyno switched me to Estarylla. What I like about Estarylla is that I haven’t had any nausea from the pill like I have had with Trinessa in the past. I’ve read other reviews saying to just stick with Estarylla for a couple of months since the skin should clear up as the body adjusts. I sure hope that is right. I’m 22, and I’m at my wit's end with this acne!!!"

For Birth Control "I started this birth control, Estarylla, after I got my IUD out. I hated the IUD, so after 2 years, I got it removed. I wanted a birth control that helped with acne because I have PCOS, and with that comes stupid hormonal acne. :( I am on month 3 of Estarylla, and I think I’m starting to hate it. The first 2 months were good, it actually helped my acne. Now, on my 2nd week of the pack, my chin broke out so bad! My boobs are sore, and I’m super depressed. I don’t take any other meds, so I know it has to be this birth control. I also get nauseous. Honestly, I think the side effects outweigh the benefits! Everyone’s different, but for myself, I do not recommend this med."

For Birth Control "These reviews definitely gave me mixed feelings, but I'm already one week in. The only side effects I've had so far is during my 2nd-4th day I was EXTREMELY nauseous, especially a few hours after I took the medication, but that resolved itself within a week and I'm having no current side effects. I'm taking it for hormone regulation to ease PMS symptoms because they worsen my psych issues (mainly BPD symptoms and ASD overstimulation) LIKE CRAZY. I also wanted a more regular period, so I'll leave another review within the next few months. Also from what I've read, it seems like a lot of people who had a bad experience was given it as a replacement for another birth control pill. This is the first one I've ever taken. I'd say give it a try because it might work out for you."

For Acne "The only good thing about this drug is that it cleared up my acne around my cycle time. The bad thing is I cramp like my cycle's first day for two weeks. Period was a week late, and then stayed on for a week and a half, and I spot/bleed constantly. If the spotting seems to stop, and I go to have sex, here comes the period back on. And the spotting comes back. It messed up my body so bad. I don’t think the irregular bleeding is worth keeping a few pimples away. And not to mention that you will be nauseated and will have a queasy stomach all the time. It gets worse after you eat. Every single time."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This was my first time getting on the pill. My doctor put me on Estarylla, and everything just went downhill from there. I was aware of the side effects, granted this is my first time being on the pill. But I have never felt so awful in my life. By the third week, I hit a wall with depression, so uncomfortably bloated, tons of nausea that never went away and abdominal pains. I finally called and told them what’s up, and they are wanting to switch me to Sprintec. Everyone’s bodies are different, but Estarylla made me feel the lowest of lows."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started Estarylla 3 months ago due to prolonged bleeding caused by my previous pill. Estarylla stopped my month-and-a-half-long period almost immediately. Unfortunately, this is the only good thing that I've found since being on the pill. I have severe nausea and vomiting weekly, loss of appetite, extremely sore, swelling breasts but no change in size, spotting, heavy bloating, and mood swings. Little things seem to make me irritated and angry. It seems like the side effects are beginning to die down going into the 4th month, but it's hard to tell. The only reason it has 3 stars is because it stopped my prolonged bleeding and I'm not pregnant. I will not continue use if my body doesn't adjust soon."

I bled for over two weeks. The last week, I questioned whether I had a ruptured cyst or miscarriage. The cramps were so horrendous I threw up. HORRIBLE!!!!"

For Birth Control "Absolutely the worst BC I’ve been on in my 13+ years. I will refuse to accept this when I go in for a refill. This has given me horrible cramps, headache, breast pain and tenderness, mood swings, nausea, and has killed my sex drive. Definitely no way to get pregnant on this if you never want to do anything, so I guess it works in that aspect. STAY AWAY. I wish I would have known before leaving the pharmacy. I can’t wait for this to be over!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Estarylla for about 4 months now. Before this, I was taking Sprintec, and it seemed to be working just fine for me. The pharmacy changed the prescription, saying that it was the same birth control with no different side effects. Wrong!!! I am a little bit of an emotional and sensitive person as it is, but this birth control has turned me into the worst emotional wreck that I have ever been!!! I am constantly nauseous with relief very rarely. Headaches come and go, but it’s mostly the nausea, anxiety, and depression. I definitely would not recommend this birth control to any girl who wants to keep their happy spirit alive and kicking. It’s terrible."

For Birth Control "Please listen to these reviews! The worst BC pill ever. I'm 18 and was getting terrible migraines, so my doctor prescribed this pill in order to help with them. The pill did help with them, but that is about the extent to which these pills did something good for me. The first 2 months of taking these pills, I experienced nausea EVERY morning. I also started experiencing actual panic attacks, which I had never had before. The first 3 months, I didn't experience weight gain, so I thought I lucked out, but nope. In about 3 weeks, I gained over 8 lbs without a change in my diet or lifestyle. For the past month, I have been eating healthier and exercising to try and shed the lbs, but nothing seems to work. I am also bloated all of the time. My anxiety and depression have been crazy lately, and I just do not feel like myself. Tomorrow is my last day on this pill, and I could not be happier. Please do not take this pill."
