For Birth Control "Honestly, Estarylla has been the best birth control I have ever used. I have tried six others! I have never had irregular bleeding, have no cramps, and very light bleeding! I am just wondering how many people have gotten pregnant on this pill while taking it correctly!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Could not say enough bad things about this medicine!!! Abnormal bleeding, oily skin, mood swings, headaches, weight gain, racing heart, shortness of breath, cramping, night sweats, and nausea just from taking this pill for less than a month. Do not understand why anyone is even getting prescribed this pill, especially after reading all the reviews I’ve read on it. Absolutely ridiculous!!"

For Acne "The only good thing about this drug is that it cleared up my acne around my cycle time. The bad thing is I cramp like my cycle's first day for two weeks. Period was a week late, and then stayed on for a week and a half, and I spot/bleed constantly. If the spotting seems to stop, and I go to have sex, here comes the period back on. And the spotting comes back. It messed up my body so bad. I don’t think the irregular bleeding is worth keeping a few pimples away. And not to mention that you will be nauseated and will have a queasy stomach all the time. It gets worse after you eat. Every single time."

For Birth Control "I was originally on Sprintec, then switched to Estarylla so I didn’t have to pay every month for birth control. I experienced weight gain at first, but once my body got used to the hormones, my weight dropped down back to normal (but my boobs did get bigger, so that’s a plus). I was so shocked to read all the negative reviews. I haven’t really ever had any problems on this birth control, no pregnancy scares, and my period is extremely regular. The only thing that’s annoying is that my period continues for an extra 3 days, and it’s just really light spotting, but that also happened before I started birth control. My periods were extremely heavy, I’m talking bleeding through an ultra tampon after 3 hours, and now it is so much better. I do still have cramps, but they are so much better than they were prior to birth control."

For Birth Control "This medication does prevent pregnancy for me. It cleared my acne and made my periods lighter. However, it gave me mood swings, extremely sore nipples, high irritability, loss of sex drive, and decreased my appetite. I've been miserable. I don't get cramps during my period, but now during ovulation, I get slight cramps. Every month I swear I'm pregnant because of the side effects, but I get my period. I'm almost done with month 4, and I'm thinking of stopping."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The pharmacy said my old BC was no longer covered and gave me this, saying the ingredients were the same when I asked. Obviously, there's varying degrees. I bled for over two weeks. The last week, I questioned whether I had a ruptured cyst or miscarriage. The cramps were so horrendous I threw up. HORRIBLE!!!!"

For Birth Control "Absolutely the worst BC I’ve been on in my 13+ years. I will refuse to accept this when I go in for a refill. This has given me horrible cramps, headache, breast pain and tenderness, mood swings, nausea, and has killed my sex drive. Definitely no way to get pregnant on this if you never want to do anything, so I guess it works in that aspect. STAY AWAY. I wish I would have known before leaving the pharmacy. I can’t wait for this to be over!"

For Acne "I began taking this pill for my acne. I switched to this one because I was getting horrible cramps. I am 3 months in and have noticed a few side effects. 1: My period is ridiculous. I thought BC was supposed to help regulate, and I have no idea when my period is coming or how long it will last. I've had a period for 2 weeks on, one week off, and then back to when my period should be again. Awful. 2: It has not helped my acne and may have actually made it worse. It is still early, and it might just be getting used to my system still, so I am unsure. 3: My sex drive is dead. Absolutely, positively, birth control causes the idea of having sex (or even kissing) to make me sick and uncomfortable. On the bright side, I don't have cramps anymore, but I have no clue when my period or spotting will happen or for how long. I do plan to switch ASAP."

For Birth Control "I was on Estarylla for 3 1/2 months. I had never taken any birth control before starting it. I got bad cramping and heavy spotting in between periods. In the short amount of time taking Estarylla, I gained about 30 pounds without changing my diet or exercising or any other lifestyle changes. I literally went up two pant sizes, and I was so bloated. My moods were completely uncomfortable, and I didn’t even feel like myself. I am still trying to lose the weight, and it’s been 8 months off of all birth control."

For Birth Control "I gave Estarylla a 1 because of my side effects since starting it. The only good thing I can say about it is that I did not become pregnant while on it. Changed insurance last year, and new insurance changed me to Mononessa. Remained normal with my period right on track. Four months ago, insurance changed me again to Estarylla. Since starting Estarylla, I have had extreme weight gain, increased gas to the point of constantly being bloated, very dry skin and acne, mood swings, crying about things that wouldn't bother me normally, increased depression, anxiety, and cramping in my legs. My period became completely off track after years of being balanced. For 4 months, I have not known what day I would start, and either heavy or so light, from 3 to 7 days, and the worst cramps of my life. Went to my GYN last week, and she told me I should have called her sooner. Told her I was trying to give it a fair shot. She changed me to something else, and I can't wait to start it. Estarylla has made me miserable! If you have another option, try that first."

For Ovarian Cysts "On Estarylla, I have bad mood swings, fast heart rate, chest tightness, anxiety, diarrhea, throwing up bile, hair loss, leg cramps, excessive sweating, and my Dr. said my body needs to adjust. After 3 months, they have gotten so bad that I took myself off of it. Worst ever!!!!"

For Birth Control "I was on Mononessa for over a decade, I believe. Suddenly, the manufacturer stopped production of this product, and I was forced to take the generic, Estarylla. I am on my second day of the placebo pills, month one, and I have already noticed a drastic change in myself. I am extremely moody and emotional-crying at the dumbest things. I have never been so bloated before my period in my entire life as I have this month and have NEVER experienced such bad cramping while on my period and on any birth control. I have spent years getting my weight under control-I am very mindful of my food intake-and I am gaining a great deal of weight without changing my diet at all. I thought I would give this more time because I thought I was just being crazy about blaming this pill for all my issues recently. After reading these reviews, I am certain this pill has had all of these negative effects on me. I will NOT be starting another month of this pill."

For Birth Control "I was on this pill when my local Walgreens stopped selling Milli, and this is by far the worst birth control in the world! I would get super bad migraines near my period, I would always be angry and anxious. Also, my periods were 6 days and heavy? I had cramps throughout every single week of the pill pack except the week after my period. Absolutely terrible! I have had a high heart rate from this pill. I am switched over to another pill now, so we will see what happens. DO NOT take this pill."

For Ovarian Cysts "I’m not sure if I like this pill or not, I’ve been having irregular bleeding for years, and I’m at the point where I want to have children. My doctor prescribed me Estarylla in June. I just started my second month, but I’m still on my period. This period has been awful! My period is heavy, and I’m going through Super+ in maybe 2 hours, and the cramps were horrible. I ended up going to the ER after waking up with severe stabbing-like pains in my pelvic area. I could barely walk or sit or lay down. I also felt the sensation that a clot was going to fall out of me for about 4 days, and it never passed. I got a CT scan at the ER, and they told me I had a mass of blood in my vaginal canal (that was the clot!). I’m still seeing how this pill plays out because I want a regular period, however, this massive bleeding sucks. I can’t say don’t take it because our bodies are different. I have not experienced: - Weight gain - Loss of sex drive - Depression - Anxiety - Acne - Mood swings."

For Acne "I got on this medication to control my acne. For the most part, it is really helping. I don't get near as many deep pimples as I used to, and my back is starting to clear up. However, it's not as nice as I would like it to be. I suffered no side effects from this medicine. Weird thing though: my period will not shift to the 28-day routine. It comes early on the birth control, like on day 25. And the cramps are still the same, and I am still getting night sweats."

For Birth Control "I've been on birth control for about 3 years now. My doctor first put me on Previfem. About a year later, I was switched to Estarylla. I've always had mild acne, so I can't tell if it is from this pill or not, but I constantly have pimples on my face and a few on my chest. It's nothing super noticeable or major, but I feel as Previfem did a better job in keeping my skin clearer than Estarylla. On Previfem, I gained about 10 pounds, and on this new pill, I have lost it all. I get HORRIBLE cramps the day before my period and the first day that it starts. But it always starts on the same day around the same time, so it is very regulated. It is also very effective as I have not gotten pregnant from either of these pills I have been on."

For Birth Control "Like everyone else, I was switched by my pharmacy from Monessa to this. I’m on the 3rd week, and in this time, I have developed a cyst in my ovary, then started my period while on the active pills with the most constant, horrible cramps. I have had absolutely no energy and have felt so depressed to where I start crying for no reason. For the life of me, I could not figure out what was wrong until this morning I decided to look up this pill (I figured it would be the same since it was another generic brand, so I didn’t give it much thought). Most everyone with negative reviews matches my experience to a T. I am relieved to know I’m not alone, but will not be continuing this pill. Horrible experience."

For Ovarian Cysts "Using Estarylla to treat PCOS has made my period somehow even more painful. My period is heavier, and the cramps are unbearable. Definitely going to have to try a different birth control to see if anything changes."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "At first, this medicine worked, but then I began experiencing severe migraines, and so my doctor modified the pills to best suit me. Which worked out better for about 2 months. Now I've back to having severe cramps, migraines, heavy bleeding, depression, and anxiety. I wouldn't recommend this medication."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for less than a month. I'm at the end of the 3rd active week, and this whole week, I've been spotting and cramping and some discharge that I never had problems with before. I was on Mononessa for almost 2 years previously, my pharmacy changed it without my consent. They told me it was the same, but it's not. While on it the first week, I got super depressed and was moody, and it's gotten worse now that it's the third week. I'm constantly annoyed and more moody than usual. I do take another script for PMDD that usually keeps my moods in line. But this birth control has screwed up my balance all around. I can't wait to get back on Mononessa for next month. I wouldn't recommend this to any female who is overly sensitive and emotional."

For Birth Control "Was fine the first two weeks but was very moody. My boyfriend and I got into some unnecessary tiffs, and he said I was moody. Then week three, I have been nauseated every day, 24 hours a day, and have had insomnia for a week. Also, some light spotting and cramping. I threw up once, but I think it is because I did not have enough in my stomach. Will keep moving forward, but gosh, I hope this gets better! My mood is better but still sticks to my stomach. At least I am losing weight versus gaining. I was also given this as a replacement to Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on a different birth control previously (can’t remember the name at this point). I took the original pill for years until my OBGYN said I needed a stronger pill, so she put me on this rubbish. On my original pill, I got my period like clockwork. It lasted 3 days, and it was barely even spotting. I only had to wear panty liners. Now that I’m on this one, my period lasts 2 weeks every month, I get horrible cramps, and my flow is heavier than when I originally started birth control."

For Birth Control "I wish I should have looked up the reviews for this before taking it. Like everyone here, Walgreens switches from Mononessa to this pill. Estarylla is the worst BC pill I have taken so far. It gives me the worst breast pain, cramps, and acne breakouts, and 2 weeks of bleeding. I’m on my second month now. I didn’t stop the first month because I wanted to give it a try. Second month, my breast pain is getting worse. I haven’t gotten my period yet. Yet weirdly, I got butt pain for several days. My breasts hurt so bad that I can’t stand it anymore. That’s why I wanted to check the reviews for it. I’m overwhelmed by the number of people who have the same experience as me. I’ll stop the pill ASAP tomorrow. This pill is the worst. I should have checked the reviews for it."

For Birth Control "This is my first BC experience. I went to the doctor, and she prescribed Sprintec, but the pharmacy gave me Estarylla. I went along with it. The first month was pretty awful, so I assumed all the bad reviews were true. My period lasted two whole weeks. It wasn't just spotting, it was medium to heavy flow. I was cramping every day as well. I decided to keep trying it because it was my first time ever taking birth control, so I blamed it on my body not being familiar with it. I'm glad I stuck it out because the second and third month have been perfect. Absolutely no spotting, my period was only 4 days, and it was lighter as well. Not as bad of cramps as I used to get. No abnormal weight gain. My skin isn't clearer, but it also isn't any worse (this may take a little longer to show results). As for mentally, there were a couple of days I felt a little more angry than normal, but it wasn't anything I couldn't control. Sex drive didn't change. It has also been an effective birth control."
