For Birth Control "I've been on Estarylla for about 3-4 months. I have tried to give my body time to adjust to this pill, but I really am not a fan. I have horrible mood swings, worsening anxiety and depression, spotting, cramps, bloating, and nausea after taking the pill - sometimes to the point where I throw up. The only 'pro' is that I'm not pregnant. Can't wait to get off this medication."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Was on Sprintec for years and recently started having increased nausea and increased nervousness. GYN switched me to Estarylla. I've been on it for a month now, and I feel really good. No nausea, headaches, less cramping, but it takes about 3 months to regulate in your body, so the breakthrough bleeding has been unpredictable. With Sprintec, I didn't have a cycle for 3-4 months (taking it back to back), but now I've had some spotting and 2 episodes of heavy bleeding with clots unexpectedly. Don't like that, but cramps are much less and emotions are constant, so I will just wait it out the 3 months, hoping my body will regulate. Other than the bleeding, I actually love this pill so far."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "For the first 3 months, I experienced terrible cramps and extremely heavy bleeding, but then again, before I started taking this BC, I was on my period for a month straight with terrible cramps and heavy bleeding as well. This BC does a good job regulating my period, and around month 4, bleeding was a bit lighter and cramping was not apparent at all. I am now on month 5 and I have been breaking out more-a lot of icky whiteheads on my cheeks. Not sure if it's cause of the BC, but my period is extremely light and I have no cramps whatsoever. At first, I hated Estarylla, but now I adore it because my body just had to adjust after 4 years of abnormal menstrual cycles and menorrhagia."

For Birth Control "First time taking Estarylla, and it is not good. I started taking birth control to help with my cramping I get in my thighs only. I'm not sexually active, no kids. First day of taking the pill yesterday, it helped my mood swings but brought on the cramping and made it worse. Very intense pain. Will probably go to the doctor to switch if it doesn't get better. Worst first-time birth control using experience."

"First, I know everyone reacts differently to birth control. When I first started BC, I had migraines so bad, but soon they went away, as well as had bad acne, and that cleared as well. I switched to Estarylla from Sprintec. I’m currently in my 3rd week of the pill and have had weird mood swings, stomach bloating, and cramping (while I’m not on my period), and have had no appetite, but when I do eat, I feel nauseous. I’m hoping that I have the symptoms now, but like my acne and migraine on Sprintec, they go away after the first month. Everyone reacts their own way. I have a sensitive tummy, so I make sure to take my pill in the evening and to eat with it. I’ve also come to the conclusion that while on this pill, to drink LOTS of water because I feel drained of energy all the time, and the water seems to help."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control that I have ever used. I was switched to this when my pharmacy stopped carrying Sprintec. I experienced three and one-half weeks of spotting and horrible cramping while on the pill. I did not experience these symptoms while on any other birth control pill."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Estarylla last month after Mononessa was discontinued. It has been absolutely horrible. I have had the worst backaches, my acne started to come back, and my cramps have become as bad as they were before I was put on birth control. Although I have not tried Sprintec yet, I will be switching immediately."

For Birth Control "I have currently gained the most weight I’ve ever had. I work out every day because I am a collegiate D1 athlete, so I know that I’m gaining weight from this pill. I feel nauseous every time while taking this pill. My period was even more painful than it has been before when I was on Monessa. Everyone is different, but this pill is not for me. I will stop taking it immediately so I can get back to my normal self."

For Birth Control "Was on Monenessa for 2 years. I'm 47 with a 4-year-old, definitely needed birth control. Pharmacy changed to Estarylla. I'm going on my 2nd month. My hair is falling out and breaking off horribly. I have no sex drive, and when I do try, I get absolutely nothing out of it. My skin is now developing brown spots on my face. My foot went into such a bad cramp I fell! I'm changing ASAP."

For Birth Control "I was on Mononessa for years. Walgreens switched me over to Estarylla, and I have had nothing but problems: spotting between periods, mood swings, and cramping. It has been awful. I felt like I was sick or had a medical problem until I read the other reviews. I called Walgreens and lodged a complaint. I will have to find a new pharmacy. I have been on this medication for 2 months, and I can’t take it anymore."

For Birth Control "I absolutely love this birth control. Before I started taking this pill, my periods usually were either on time or up to a week late. They would last for a week, and they were very heavy. I also experienced a lot of cramping. After I started this pill, my period has come every month at the same time like clockwork. My periods now last roughly 3 days, and I don’t have any cramping symptoms anymore. I struggled with acne a lot through my teens and early twenties (2 rounds of Accutane), but now I have it mostly cleared up. This pill had no effect on my acne. I occasionally get one or two pimples a couple of days before my period begins."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm fairly new to this pill. I have had very heavy, painful periods for the past few months, so my doctor prescribed me this. I'm only in my first week, but very hesitant on staying with it. I started the day of my period. I've had little cramps and light bleeding, so that's great and all, but for the past four days, I've had the most annoying headache. Not sure if this pain in my head is worth being cramp-free."

For Birth Control "This is my second month on this pill, about to be on my third. I've been on a different birth control before this one for two years. I don't remember the name, but I was super moody. I had bad depression every night. I would cry for no reason, it was so bad. So, they put me on a low hormone, and it was this pill. And so far, I haven't been moody at all. Just one time, I got all my emotions in one night and cried for two hours. But other than that, I've been okay. I have gained weight, but most birth controls do that. But my only problem would be that I get really bad cramping stomachaches about every day. Like after I eat or before I eat. And it's just a terrible pain. But I like this pill 10 times better than my last."

For Birth Control "So this was the second birth control pill I've tried, and I LOVE IT! The first one I was on made me depressed, gain weight, and have a period for a MONTH. After changing to Estarylla, I have had no problems at all. My cystic acne went away, I haven’t gained weight, and I do not cramp. This pill does still make you have a period, but mine is much shorter than it was before. I don’t want to use any other pill!!"

For Birth Control "I started this birth control almost 6 months ago. I'm switching next week, I can't take it anymore! I have experienced about 15 lbs in weight gain, I have horrible mood swings the week before my period and terrible cramping. I get very sensitive for about the first hour after taking the pill. My periods were shortened, usually 3 days max... until last week, I was spotting for about 2 weeks. The only positive, my skin cleared up, but broke out faithfully during period week. I would highly NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "My girlfriend just got done with her first week, and she has had to take 2 days off of school so far because her cramps are so severe. Not to mention, the highly abnormal bleeding leaves her woozy and without strength. I absolutely do not recommend it at all! I implore you to look at other options and to tell your doctor no if he mentions this brand whatsoever."

For Birth Control "I have been suffering from terrible mood swings, anxiety, and depression for a few months now and couldn’t figure out for the life of me what was wrong. It came on very suddenly. I am incredibly paranoid, anxious, irritable, sad most of the time, and just feel empty and not like myself at all! After reading these reviews, I now know why. Additionally, I had near-perfect skin before I started this BC, now I experience painful cystic acne and have nasty breakouts all over my face. My hair falls out in clumps. And I still get bad cramping before my period, which I thought this was supposed to help with. Getting rid of this immediately and trying something different. Only giving a 2 because I didn’t get pregnant, but my sex drive went down to below zero on this pill, so I guess that isn’t saying much anyways!!!!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Mononessa for two years and loved it. Never had a side effect. When I got this one, I was so nervous because of the reviews. I got sick over it. I’m on day 5, and so far, so good. I leave for my cruise in two days and pray to God I do not get breakthrough bleeding. I’m cramping as if I’m about to get my period. But other than that, I feel fine, and I’ll post something once I’m done with month one! It’s worth a shot, everybody is different, and people only ever post bad reviews! So try it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started taking this on December 28th of 2016 or so... I was on my period for an entire month, and it was extremely heavy with blood clots, the BC cleared it up about 5 days later. For that, I love it. I had no side effects until my period started this week. I have very bad cramps, much like the ones I had when my period was more regular, and I've been passing large blood clots and have had heavy bleeding. To cut my period short, I'm starting my next pack. Honestly, a really cruddy week-long period is better than a pretty cruddy month-long period, so I'm happy."

For Birth Control "I have only been on Estarylla for 2 weeks now. I was on another birth control pill for a very long time, it was the generic brand of YAZ (they stopped making my original birth control, can't remember the name). Anyway, I couldn't be on that birth control pill that I was on anymore, so I switched to Estarylla, and I got my period 4 days earlier, which I thought, okay, wasn't a big deal until my period was EXTREMELY HEAVY, really bad cramps, and mood swings, in just 2 weeks from being on this pill. Don't get me wrong, everybody is different, and pills will react differently to each person, but seeing all the bad/same reviews on this pill, I would not recommend it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Honestly, it did its job in regulating my period, but I was a completely different person. I had mood swings, slept for long hours during the day, and was always so drowsy. One of the good things was that it did help with my headaches as well. My acne also got way better, and I never had to worry about cramping and heavy bleeding when I was on my period. I think the hormones really affect one's mood and feelings. Like I said, I didn't like the fact that I slept so much and didn't feel like myself, but I appreciate the good things it did. Weight gain-wise, I'm not sure, I think my appetite got stronger and I gained a few pounds on my own, but I'm starting a new BC (Mili), and I hope the only side effect is mood changes!"

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec for 2 years and then got randomly switched to Estarylla. I was worried I would have a bad reaction, but it looked exactly like Sprintec, and I took it at the same exact time every day that I did with my Sprintec. The first few days I felt light-headed, but then it was just like normal, no bad symptoms. For reference, I am late 20s, Mexican, 5'3, 140 lbs, no kids. I have always had terrible, heavy periods too every other month, even being on Sprintec. Now, being on Estarylla, I've only had one painful period, but no heavy clots yet when I bleed! So I think this is working better for me than Sprintec. I've been on Estarylla for about 4 months now."

For Birth Control "I just started my second month on this pill after having my second baby. I was on Ortho Tricyclen after the first kid and had weight gain, and my face broke out so bad. I haven't had either one of these problems with this pill. The only issue I have is, so far, instead of 4-5 day periods, my last one was 8 days, but I did notice my cramps were lighter. I would recommend it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Estarylla for about 2 years, I love it! My body is super sensitive, so I still do get cramps, and I opt to not skip months. I get my period monthly, and this pill works to ensure I do! I do not experience major mood swings or depression at all. Everybody reacts differently, but I recommend this pill. It decreased my acne and mood swings by far. Also, my insurance covers it 100%, so my medication is free."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have only been on this birth control for about 3 to 4 months. Prior to starting this, I had at least 2 weeks out of each month feeling sick, crying, severe depression, cramps that would keep me up all night, headaches, no energy-you name it. Since I've been on the pill, most of my symptoms have lightened up, and my PMS starts a few days before my period, not a week or more ahead. I will say this month I have been more emotional, but this is the first time I've noticed my flow being lighter. At my last check-up, I was told my symptoms would improve more the longer I've been on it, so fingers crossed it continues to get better each month!"
