For Birth Control "I had a missed miscarriage almost 3 months ago, and my body has been having a hard time getting back into the swing of things, so my Dr. prescribed this pill. I'm only two weeks into it, and it is one of the best pills I've ever had. My fiancé has noticed that I become more irritable lately, and I have a bit of acne, but my bloating and cramping have gone away, and I have had no problem with cravings or weight gain. I just increased my intake of water, and I feel fine. So far, I can tell that it is helping tremendously by regulating my cycles and hormone levels again. Everyone's body is different. Don't trust the reviews. Be open with your doctor and let them decide what's best for you."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed the Estarylla pill to control my bleeding on December 9th. I was told to take 3 daily and then 2 for two days. Then 1 until the pack is all gone. I’ve had abnormal bleeding, and my periods are irregular. This was supposed to help. I’ve had nothing but brown and black blood. I’m constantly wearing panty liners. Acne is starting to occur. I thought I was pregnant because my cycle was supposedly late. I’ve bought over 30 pregnancy tests, all gave me false positives. The blood work said I wasn’t. It’s all a big headache. NEVER AGAIN!! Find something else. It’s made me nothing but emotional, more than I’ve ever been. My doctor doesn’t know why I’ve had false positive pregnancy tests. I’m just annoyed."

For Birth Control "I am in the fifth month of taking Estarylla. The reviews are scary, but just like a restaurant, most people only post when they are upset. Most people also have underlying issues. So let's start. PROS: you will always know when your period is, and you can even plan your period, which is nice for birthdays, vacations, etc. You will always have your period during the last week of the pills (the green row). Periods are lighter. Easy to swallow. No mood swings, or weight gain, no cravings (with my last birth control, I was munching every 2 hours, even waking up in the middle of the night with my stomach growling), no breakouts, and no annoying doctor appointments to get injected with something, or have something removed/adjusted. Most importantly, you can stop when you want, and my favorite, you still get your period. Now that I'm older, I feel like a period is needed to detox your body. This pill is pretty easy, you have to let your body get adjusted to the hormones, so of course the first weeks or even months, there are little things."

For Birth Control "Estarylla is the worst BC ever! My pharmacy filled this instead of my normal BC because they are generic. They have done this a few times, and this is the fourth time I have used this brand. I have my period since day one (every time they switch me to this)... and my cycle is never off with my normal BC. I am emotional, super dehydrated, having panic attacks, weight gain, my acne cleared up, but I am not myself. Very depressed, and my kids and my BF noticed. I'm refusing to take the rest, and I'm already three weeks in. Never again will I take these."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on Sprintec, but I guess my pharmacy changed the distributor. Anyway, these pills gave me really bad acne, nausea, and random bleeding and pain. I stopped taking them before I could even finish 1 month of the pack. I do not recommend!"

For Birth Control "I went from my regular Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo to this version. It is by far one of the worst pills. While it did prevent pregnancy, I have been very moody, I could get angry or cry over the smallest things. This pill has had me depressed. My blood pressure is also unusually high, on top of that, I've broken out on my face. This pill has me feeling unlike myself, I've never had problems until I started this pill. Never again!"

For Birth Control "I've been on birth control for about 3 years now. My doctor first put me on Previfem. About a year later, I was switched to Estarylla. I've always had mild acne, so I can't tell if it is from this pill or not, but I constantly have pimples on my face and a few on my chest. It's nothing super noticeable or major, but I feel as Previfem did a better job in keeping my skin clearer than Estarylla. On Previfem, I gained about 10 pounds, and on this new pill, I have lost it all. I get HORRIBLE cramps the day before my period and the first day that it starts. But it always starts on the same day around the same time, so it is very regulated. It is also very effective as I have not gotten pregnant from either of these pills I have been on."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Y’all... this pill is the worst experience I have ever had with birth control, and I have tried many pills in my day. Started taking BC at 15 to treat acne, extremely painful and irregular periods. Throughout the years, I’ve switched for one adverse side effect or another trying to find the right pill for me. Fast forward to 22, starting Mononessa. It was terrible, didn’t hate it though. Then out of the blue, I’m switched to Estarylla. Called my doctor due to concern I had from others' reviews. She assured me it’s just the generic version, same exact ingredients. Totally not true for me. I have been bleeding for two straight weeks, rapidly gained weight, and been having breakouts on and off. I’m on my third month and going in to see my doctor on Friday to discuss getting an IUD because clearly the pill is not for me. Stay far away from this pill, ladies! Seriously. Two weeks straight of bleeding."

For Birth Control "Made my resting heart rate raise 20 beats per minute over a 7-day period. That can't be healthy. I stopped this medicine immediately, and my heart rate soon returned to normal. Also gave me acne, mood swings, and anxiety. I got switched to this because the pharmacy stopped carrying Monessa."

For Birth Control "I have been on 3 different birth control pills in the past with 0 side effects from any of them. I trusted CVS when they switched my brand again to this one and didn't look up any reviews until now. After taking it for almost 2 weeks, I have been extremely emotional and depressed. I've never had issues with depression before, but this pill made me an emotional wreck. Every moment has been spent fighting back tears. I've also never had problems with my skin (maybe 1 pimple every month), and I now have 4 pimples on my face and some on my body and back. This birth control is the worst pill I have ever taken. Every person is obviously different in how they react, but it's not worth the risk!!"

For Birth Control "I had to switch from Sprintec to this because my doctor didn’t have my prescription. On Sprintec, my acne was cleared up and I was fine. When I switched to Estarylla, I have had SO MUCH ACNE. Painful acne too, which never happens. I feel like I’ve been more moody on this kind too, which is annoying. Estarylla is the generic of Sprintec, supposed to be the same hormones and same strength, but I def. reacted differently to them."

For Birth Control "I switched my pharmacy. But I was taking the higher version, I guess, which is Tri-Sprintec, for a year. I never had a single issue with it, I might've gained 5 unnoticeable pounds. But when I changed to CVS, they gave me this. It is my second month, and I have only had my period on the active pills. I got my period 2 1/2 weeks ago on active pills. I took my sugar pills, then this week, I got my period again. My skin's broken out, I gained 10 lbs. I work with little kids, so I thought I was getting sick from them, but I've had headaches and stomachaches almost constantly. The reviews made me realize it's the birth control. It's seriously the worst experience I've had with medication."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have an irregular menstrual cycle, and I went almost 5 months without having my period, so I went to seek medical help. Soon after that, my Gyn recommended I take Estarylla BC pills. On the first week, I had mild nausea (which is normal if you are a first-time BC user). I also had a lot of acne, and within that first week, my face cleared out perfectly. On my second week, nausea was non-existent, and my acne wasn't there at all. I also had a few mood swings, but nothing too crazy. By the third week, I started to notice my acne coming out only on my chin area (which is where I normally would get it when I would start my period). It was there for about 3-4 days until I finally got my period on the 14!! Lucky me. As soon as I got my period, I experienced a really heavy flow, but it's totally understandable since I haven't had it for 5 months. Right now, I am still on my period and just officially finished my first month, and I have no acne at all. Everyone's body reacts differently, don't be scared to give it a try."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about a year and a half now. I was originally on Mononessa but was switched to this generic one out of nowhere. I had suffered from anxiety and depression before, but I had removed myself from the situations that made me tick. I was completely fine for months on Mononessa. Happier, healthier, and in a way better position. I started taking Estarylla and everything came back. I never used to cry, but now sometimes I cry up to 3 times a day! This pill completely reverted any progress I had made, and it makes me extremely irritable. Originally, I thought it was just me, but after some research, my boyfriend and I found out it was this pill, so I’m switching ASAP. Not only is it emotionally unhealthy, but it also caused me to get terrible breakouts a week before my period until a week after. It is not worth it to go on this for clear skin! Do not do it!"

For Birth Control "I was switched to Estarylla from Mononessa due to Walgreens, as well as everyone else, it seems. I was on Mononessa for 9 years with absolutely no problems and loved it. Being on Estarylla, my period has become completely irregular, I never know when I’m going to get my actual period because I basically have it the entire month. I never get a break from spotting. There was a change in my mood, I’m extremely unhappy and withdrawn from everyone. I suffer from depression, but this is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. I also noticed weight gain and breakouts, which neither are normal for me. This has been such a bad experience for me, I finally asked them to change it to a different generic, and they are giving me Sprintec for next month. I hope it works better for me."

For Birth Control "Absolutely horrific. Walgreens switched me to this after my original birth control was discontinued. I tried it for 3 months to give it a fair chance. My anxiety and acne are worse, and I have to wear a tampon every single day of the month because of excessive spotting. The first month, I thought this was just my body getting used to it, but now, after 3 months, I’m done! I contacted my doctor to prescribe something else."

For Birth Control "I wish I should have looked up the reviews for this before taking it. Like everyone here, Walgreens switches from Mononessa to this pill. Estarylla is the worst BC pill I have taken so far. It gives me the worst breast pain, cramps, and acne breakouts, and 2 weeks of bleeding. I’m on my second month now. I didn’t stop the first month because I wanted to give it a try. Second month, my breast pain is getting worse. I haven’t gotten my period yet. Yet weirdly, I got butt pain for several days. My breasts hurt so bad that I can’t stand it anymore. That’s why I wanted to check the reviews for it. I’m overwhelmed by the number of people who have the same experience as me. I’ll stop the pill ASAP tomorrow. This pill is the worst. I should have checked the reviews for it."

For Birth Control "I started taking this to prevent pregnancy, and so far, it has been awful. Although I'm not pregnant, it has given me EXTREME mood swings. One minute I'm fine, and the next I'm crying my eyes out for no reason, and I get irritated very easily. I was on my period for nearly 2 1/2 weeks when I first started it. My sex drive has increased a significant amount. I used to have sex maybe twice a week with my boyfriend, but when I got on the birth control, I was constantly wanting to have sex. My acne has decreased slightly, not much. My boobs have not grown at all. I have experienced a huge amount of weight gain-15 pounds in a month. It's honestly been so awful taking this pill. The only good thing is I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "This was the worst birth control ever. Like most people, I was on Sprintec and Monessa before Walgreens switched me to Estarylla. I have always suffered with depression and was on a depression med to stabilize my mood. Around the same time my birth control got switched, I noticed how I was breaking out in cystic acne, and I never have had acne. I am angry and sad all the time. I am unmotivated, and at this point so upset with this birth control I could cry. It ruined my face, my self-esteem, and is beginning to affect the relationships around me. I go to the doctors tomorrow to get on a new form. I am so ready to just stop taking it, all this to avoid getting pregnant?"

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec for about 9 months before I was switched to Estarylla, and I noticed the change almost immediately. I developed anxiety, lost my ability to concentrate, have frequent mood swings, go in and out of depressive episodes, and my mental state near my period is so overwhelmed that I feel like I'm a different person. My friends and family have noticed the change to a point where they think I don't seem like myself anymore. On Sprintec, my whole face was clear, and my skin glowed. On Estarylla, my skin glows (with oil), and I get hormonal breakouts on my chin that I never had with Sprintec. I know Estarylla is the 'chemical equivalent,' but there must be a difference in the two because Estarylla has deteriorated my mental health in a way no birth control ever has before. Everybody is different, and for some people, Estarylla may be great! But if you are on Sprintec and love it, if your pharmacist or doctor gives you Estarylla instead, DO NOT TAKE IT."

For Ovarian Cysts "Do not take this! I have been on it for a few months, and it has done nothing but make me depressed, gain weight, and be incredibly moody. My eczema has gotten worse, my skin is breaking out, and overall it just makes me feel terrible. There are better options out there."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "For the first 3 months, I experienced terrible cramps and extremely heavy bleeding, but then again, before I started taking this BC, I was on my period for a month straight with terrible cramps and heavy bleeding as well. This BC does a good job regulating my period, and around month 4, bleeding was a bit lighter and cramping was not apparent at all. I am now on month 5 and I have been breaking out more-a lot of icky whiteheads on my cheeks. Not sure if it's cause of the BC, but my period is extremely light and I have no cramps whatsoever. At first, I hated Estarylla, but now I adore it because my body just had to adjust after 4 years of abnormal menstrual cycles and menorrhagia."

For Acne "I am now almost done with my third month of this pill, Estarylla, and I have seen improvement in my skin, but I am still breaking out and lots of scarring! My doctor suggested I switch my pill, but I don’t want to go through another three months of acne. If I wait another month, will my acne fully clear?! I need answers."
