For Birth Control "Keep in mind that most reviews are negative. This is because negative experiences motivate people to write comments more than positive ones. Each body responds differently to types of hormonal birth control (BC) pills. All BC pills have about a 3-6 month adjustment period, meaning you may experience some negative side effects during this time that will likely be gone after that. I had nausea and headaches during the first 3 months, which are now gone. You are also at risk of side effects if you do not take the pill correctly. If you miss pills or take them far apart/close together, you can have negative side effects. Take them at the exact same time every day. Negative side effects (first 3 months): headaches, nausea, increased appetite, light cramping. Positive side effects: extremely light bleeding on break weeks, no or rare cramping, acne gone, helped hormone depression, helped blood sugar, weight loss, no pregnancy. I love this pill, I've been on it for a year. It does so much good for me."

For Birth Control "I was switched from Junel FE to Blisovi FE due to a change in my prescription drug coverage. (Both are generic drugs for Loestrin.) I've been taking Blisovi for three months and have not experienced any negative side effects. No breakthrough bleeding, headaches, acne, nausea, or weight changes. I'm not sure if this is because I switched from one generic equivalent to another, but my experience has been very positive. My periods seem to be even lighter than when I was on Junel and come like clockwork. I was nervous to try Blisovi after reading all of the negative reviews, but I feel people tend to share negative experiences more than the positive ones. This drug works and is affordable. Give it a try!"

For Birth Control "My original prescription was for Microgestin, which I’ve been taking for 4 years. When I was given Blisovi, I asked my doctor, was assured it was the same formula, so I began my first month's supply without fear. I began waking up every morning so nauseous that I felt like passing out. I thought it was from skipping breakfast, so I made sure to eat every morning, no change. I waited it out and saw if it would pass in month 2 when my body fully adjusted. Nope, I was still nauseous and became very irritable. I started going to bed early, but still woke up angry. My mood swings started to affect my boyfriend’s mental health. I thought it was stress, so I sought out help to control my anger and anxiety. I got so depressed, I forgot to start month 3. Within a week, I noticed I felt less irritated and anxious, and my nausea disappeared. My mind was clear, and I started up month 3, and the next morning it started again. Seeing these reviews has given me so much relief to know I’m not the only one going through this."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Microgestin 1.5/30 and, like everyone else, received Blisovi. I never tried the Microgestin, but my doctor recommended I switch for acne and spotting. I took it at night the first day and woke up the next day so nauseated I had to call out of work. I still experience a little nausea here and there with it, but nothing to that extent. I feel like my moods are really evened out, and my acne is clearing, no spotting yet. Maybe I was just on a terrible birth control before, but I think Blisovi is pretty great. I don't think I'll even switch to the Microgestin. Not everyone has a bad experience with it, I guess! Don't worry about the reviews and try it for yourself."

For Birth Control "Have been on Microgestin for years. One day, the pharmacy just said they didn’t have any, but this one is “totally the same thing.” Absolutely not. The whole month I’ve taken this pill, I have been extremely exhausted nonstop, have felt nauseous every day, have had awful stomach pains for a week leading up to my period, and every little thing annoys or makes me sad. After reading the reviews, it’s obviously not only me that has experienced these side effects. Haven’t gotten pregnant, so that’s the reason for the couple of stars I gave this pill. Would not recommend. Anyone who’s been on Microgestin, please know this is NOT the same and will make you feel different."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control pill for about a year, and it caused incredible amounts of nausea for me. My body would attempt to reject it by curbing my eating habits because when I took it without food, I would throw up about 5 times every 20-30 minutes in the middle of the night. If I ate something small, such as a banana, I would begin to feel nauseous about 4 hours later. It did help prevent pregnancy, but many times I used backup methods because there were many times I didn’t want to take it because of the vomiting. I also had severe mood swings, mainly resulting in irrational anger. I do consider myself someone who is more prone to anger and mood swings, but never in the way this birth control made them."

For Birth Control "This birth control is probably the worst I’ve taken. I used to be on Microgestin and was switched, and upon taking my first couple of pills, suffered horrible nausea. A little nausea is normal for me, but the nausea was so bad I could barely move and was vomiting all day. It also made me break out all over my chin, and I couldn’t get it to clear up."

For Birth Control "I started taking Microgestin in 2014, and just this year in March, I went to pick up another pack and was told they no longer had it, but they gave me a new BC Blisovi and assured me it was exactly the same. Well, it’s not. My anxiety has been at an all-time high, as well as my depression. I have gained 15 pounds just from taking this pill from March to August. This pill has made my life awful, I am always so nauseous and irritated. Would not recommend whatsoever."

For Birth Control "I haven’t had many problems with Blisovi other than bad headaches and nausea when I take the pill wrong (miss a day or take it late). The Blisovi is great for me, it helped my periods regulate and not be so heavy. Also, it cleared my acne right up."

For Birth Control "I was afraid I'd experience some of the adverse effects some of the reviewers on here have gone through, but the ones I've had are definitely minor and manageable. During the first few months, I would randomly experience a bit of nausea in the middle of the night and sometimes immediately after waking up in the morning, which rarely happens now. I take this BC a few hours before bed and have never experienced nausea during the daytime. The only other difference I've noticed in the beginning was my emotions going from 0 to 100, which would end up with me crying for no reason (only happened about once a month?). I've had no changes in weight or acne amount (still kind of slim with little to no acne). Used to experience bad cramps and incredibly heavy periods, and now no cramping and normal periods! Worth the minor side effects for me."

For Birth Control "This pill has not helped me from the start. Just writing this comment to tell you what happened to me. I have been nauseous (to a serious extreme), depressed, anxious, tired, dizzy (I fainted). Yeah, I fainted, passed out on the ground, peed my pants while it happened too?! At 23 years old, perfectly healthy human. Might work differently for you, but just sharing my experience. Also, been on it for 4+ months because I know your body needs to adjust. Well, people, that did not happen for me, everything just kept getting worse. This pill's a no-go from me. Time for me to try my 4th birth control, starting to think birth control just isn’t for me."

For Birth Control "I was having bleeding and cramping issues while on a low-dose hormone pill. My doctor insisted it was because my hormones were not balanced, and she switched me to this full hormone pill. Not only did my symptoms not go away, but now I'm experiencing headaches, nausea, depression, suicidal ideations, GI problems, anxiety, constant bloating, rashes, weight gain, and massive mood swings. This is by far the worst birth control I've ever been on. I'm 36, and I've been through the patch, Paragard, Isobloom, Ortho Tricyclen Low, along with a number of generic versions. I do not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I just recently switched to Blisovi Fe 1.5/30 from a different birth control, and I can say this one isn’t much better. I switched last time for throwing up at night, however, now I have extreme nausea every morning. I wake up with this one. It’s getting worse and worse each morning."

For Birth Control "Just recently started taking birth control for the first time. So far, it hasn't been that bad. A little bloated, tenderness in the breast area, slightly nauseated at times, but honestly nothing unbearable. It comes with the territory of having a menstrual cycle. Hopefully, it works, and unlike most people, I don't have to try many to find one that works well. Best of wishes."

For Birth Control "I started taking this medicine for a month, and then I stopped for a few months and then I started taking it again. The first time I took it, all I experienced was a little nausea. However, the second time I took it, I experienced the worst stomach pain in my life. I was debating whether to go to the ER or not. I couldn’t sleep, and I was throwing up. I couldn’t eat or move. I am not sure if the pill caused this, but it happened when I started taking it again, so I believe it is from the pill. I experience extreme nausea now, and I barely eat. A lot of people say it can take 2-3 months for nausea to stop, so I will continue taking it. If I experience the pain I experienced last time, I am going to stop taking it. Don’t let this review determine whether you’re going to take this pill or not, everybody is different."
