For Birth Control "Keep in mind that most reviews are negative. This is because negative experiences motivate people to write comments more than positive ones. Each body responds differently to types of hormonal birth control (BC) pills. All BC pills have about a 3-6 month adjustment period, meaning you may experience some negative side effects during this time that will likely be gone after that. I had nausea and headaches during the first 3 months, which are now gone. You are also at risk of side effects if you do not take the pill correctly. If you miss pills or take them far apart/close together, you can have negative side effects. Take them at the exact same time every day. Negative side effects (first 3 months): headaches, nausea, increased appetite, light cramping. Positive side effects: extremely light bleeding on break weeks, no or rare cramping, acne gone, helped hormone depression, helped blood sugar, weight loss, no pregnancy. I love this pill, I've been on it for a year. It does so much good for me."

For Birth Control "I was very nervous to start this pill due to the large amount of negative comments about it. I was originally on Taytulla, but that pill caused me to spot each month, and I had terrible cramps almost constantly. I was prescribed Blisovi, but I put off taking it for three months because I was so nervous. However, I am now on my third month of the pill, and I have had no negative side effects, and I honestly really like it. This pill has made me feel normal again. I was emotional at the beginning of taking it, but my hormones have balanced out since. The only thing besides that that has happened is that I have lost 10 pounds, which is honestly very nice. For me, this pill has definitely decreased my appetite. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away, it reacts differently for everyone!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking birth control pills since I was 17. I'm 50 now. All those years, and never had a problem with the pills I took other than some bloating with Junel. Then started Blisovi when my pharmacy was back-ordered for Microgestin. Didn't know what was about to happen... Started the first week - and continued to bleed, have cramps, and massive bloating in spite of the pill. Also started to notice grumpiness and general unhappiness. Let me tell you, everyone describes me as 'super happy' and 'smiley' and 'fun.' Who knew the next 7 days after that would have me spiraling down into deep depression, insecurity, paranoia, and general nastiness. Felt awful no matter what was going on. I could have won the lottery and been miserable about it. This drug is a nightmare. Consider yourself warned..."

For Birth Control "If you're asking me, absolutely do NOT under ANY circumstances take this birth control. I cannot begin to explain to you how badly this medication screwed my body over. Supposedly, I talked to my doctor about how painful my period was (I have absolutely no recollection of this event) and got switched to this off my old brand back in 2017. I cannot tell you how much it ruined my life, honest to God. I got the worst cystic acne I've ever had in my life. It was mortifying. I wore a surgical mask to classes because it was so unbelievably bad. I had the most intense cramps I've ever had to the point I was actually crying when I've never had issues with cramps before. I was on it for 3 months and it never got any better until I told my doctor and she switched the medication. Immediately it cleared up. My skin is still horribly dented from the acne scars. I'm taking the time to write this now because my skin is breaking out again, it's reminded me: DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS."

For Birth Control "This is the only birth control I’ve been on (6 months now), and my acne is more clear, my period is regular, I no longer find myself crippled on the floor with cramps, I have not gained any weight, I love it!"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever been on. I have been on many different brands and also other generics for Loestrin Fe, and I have never had side effects like this. I’ve been taking this for 4 months now because I was trying to give it a fair chance, but I have never had worse cramps in my life (which is saying a lot considering I have endometriosis), they even wake me up when I am sleeping. I bled like a normal period for half of my second and my whole third month, which resulted in my having a decidual cast that is rare and was extremely painful. (Google it.) Aside from that, I have had bad bloating, brain fog, and headaches. I never review things, but I felt it important to share my experience since I read these similar reviews and didn’t listen."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication after finding out that Gildess FE 1.5/30 had been recalled. I feel so much better on this pill compared to Gildess. I've been taking Blisovi for about 8 months and have periods that are light and last 2-4 days. Cramping is more mild compared to not being on birth control, while the bloating I have in my lower body before periods is comparable to not taking birth control. I experience slight breast tenderness toward the end of the pill pack and headaches for a couple of days when beginning a new pack. All the side effects I have had are mild and easier to deal with than not taking birth control, plus it prevents pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Microgestin for 10 years (I didn't have a period, I didn't have cramps), when out of nowhere my pharmacy filled my script with Blisovi. For the first 3 months, I didn't notice anything... UNTIL I had a period for the first time in 10 years, and I started to get the worst cramps that would last 2 weeks. I also started to get the worst cystic acne on my jawline, neck, and around my mouth. My gynecologist had to write a new script that specifically spelled out 'Microgestin brand name only to be filled.' Long story short... These two birth controls are NOT the same."

For Birth Control "I've been on the Blisovi pill for 7 months now, and it recently got bad. I started the pill due to my very long and irregular periods. At first, it seemed as if nothing had changed, but then over time, my periods shortened and have been the most painful they have ever been. I'm still very irregular and still having painful cramps (that kept me up all night), as well as my emotions, which have gone through the roof. Crying every night, bad mood swings, and weight loss (I was already 10 pounds underweight). I'm constantly angry at the people I love for no reason, and the only explanation is the pill. My acne was never really bad, but I did find that my chest and back broke out more than usual. I plan to stop taking this!!!"

For Birth Control "I got switched to this somehow in the transition to Nurx, and my pharmacy gave me this-I'm still trying to sort it out and not blaming anyone. I had been a couple of days without birth control because my old prescription, Lo Loestrin, which I love and have taken for years, had expired. So I started taking this anyway since I'd been without. I've been taking it for two weeks, and my skin on my chest and back has broken out with acne. I haven't experienced this since my teen years. My breasts have been swollen and tender, and I swear I feel like I've gained 5-7 pounds. I'm also getting cramps that have disrupted my sleeping. I wasn't expecting this medicine to be any different from my Lo Estrin, but it's awful. I had actually forgotten how bad the wrong birth control can mess with you. I'm trying to sort out my prescription and have stopped taking this. Thank goodness my husband has had a vasectomy. I take BC because it causes me not to have periods and regulates hormonal fluctuations."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi Fe 1.5/30 because my periods were so heavy and painful. The only positive thing this medication has done is pretty much taken away my period cramps and made my actual period so light I only needed a liner. I’ve been on it for two months, but I’m going to switch to a more mild birth control because my boobs are killing me! For the past week or so, I can’t even sleep on my stomach! This has never happened to me before. They’re also swollen. It made my acne much worse as well, and I’m getting random cramps at night."

For Birth Control "I was taking a different brand of birth control before Blisovi. That birth control had me on my period for about 2 and a half weeks, and it drove me insane. My doctor then prescribed Blisovi, and luckily it caused my period to stop. But ONLY FOR 1 AND A HALF DAYS. I’m currently still bleeding. I’ve been bleeding for almost a week. I log my periods, but for the past few days it would be weird. One day I’d be bleeding, the next day I wouldn’t. Last night I didn’t bleed at all, this morning I have severe cramps and major blood clots coming out."

For Birth Control "I was afraid I'd experience some of the adverse effects some of the reviewers on here have gone through, but the ones I've had are definitely minor and manageable. During the first few months, I would randomly experience a bit of nausea in the middle of the night and sometimes immediately after waking up in the morning, which rarely happens now. I take this BC a few hours before bed and have never experienced nausea during the daytime. The only other difference I've noticed in the beginning was my emotions going from 0 to 100, which would end up with me crying for no reason (only happened about once a month?). I've had no changes in weight or acne amount (still kind of slim with little to no acne). Used to experience bad cramps and incredibly heavy periods, and now no cramping and normal periods! Worth the minor side effects for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for three months now, I've noticed the first day of my period I have annoying headaches all day. I'm very moody, everything angers me. I also noticed I have a lot of acne when I've never had a problem with acne before. My breasts are so super sensitive. As for the periods, they are light, but the cramps still hurt pretty bad, and it worsens at night when I'm trying to sleep. Probably going to switch to a new birth control."

For Birth Control "I appreciate everyone else's reviews of this medication, it validates me where I thought I was alone. The pharmacy advised prior standard birth control was no longer available and it was 'the same,' and thus I was provided Blisovi. After 3 months, I've gone up 2 pant sizes and look pregnant with a distended belly! I have had abdominal cramping and terrible PMS. My flow used to last 2-3 days, it's up to 5 days on this terrible pill. I would not recommend anyone even trial with this medication. I gave it two stars since it does prevent pregnancy -- oh, my sex drive is lower, so that can impact pregnancy too."

For Birth Control "I was having bleeding and cramping issues while on a low-dose hormone pill. My doctor insisted it was because my hormones were not balanced, and she switched me to this full hormone pill. Not only did my symptoms not go away, but now I'm experiencing headaches, nausea, depression, suicidal ideations, GI problems, anxiety, constant bloating, rashes, weight gain, and massive mood swings. This is by far the worst birth control I've ever been on. I'm 36, and I've been through the patch, Paragard, Isobloom, Ortho Tricyclen Low, along with a number of generic versions. I do not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I was very nervous when my pharmacy switched my brand of birth control from Aurovela to Blisovi because I didn't have any noticeable side effects with Aurovela and was scared that would change, but it actually turned out noticeably better than Aurovela. I still have no side effects but now have ~4-day periods while I had ~6 days on Aurovela and ~8 without any, and my cramps are much better with both Aurovela and Blisovi."

"Comparing this to the Microgestin I used to take, it SUCKS. I have PCOS, so I really have to take some form of birth control. Since my pharmacy never has Microgestin available, I have to take this. Before, I would take any birth control at all, I never had serious issues with acne. It was fairly normal and stayed that way, if not better, with Microgestin. I would only break out before my period. Blisovi is awful, I have had painful, annoying acne pop out of nowhere! It doesn’t help that I’ve had an increase in anxiety and depression. Also, I notice before each period I get severe lower back pain and cramping. I’m disappointed. I don’t have to worry about any copay because I don’t even want this for free."

For Birth Control "I was first on Loestrin from March to June, and I recently hopped on Blisovi Fe 1.5/30 because I changed pharmacies and they didn’t carry my original. Since I’ve been taking this pill, it’s good but not as great as Loestrin. I sometimes cramp and spot here and there, which I am not used to. I still continue to have no period, but it’s alright. No major weight gain or acne. It’s okay, nothing really wrong with it, but I do wish I had my old prescription."
