For Birth Control "Keep in mind that most reviews are negative. This is because negative experiences motivate people to write comments more than positive ones. Each body responds differently to types of hormonal birth control (BC) pills. All BC pills have about a 3-6 month adjustment period, meaning you may experience some negative side effects during this time that will likely be gone after that. I had nausea and headaches during the first 3 months, which are now gone. You are also at risk of side effects if you do not take the pill correctly. If you miss pills or take them far apart/close together, you can have negative side effects. Take them at the exact same time every day. Negative side effects (first 3 months): headaches, nausea, increased appetite, light cramping. Positive side effects: extremely light bleeding on break weeks, no or rare cramping, acne gone, helped hormone depression, helped blood sugar, weight loss, no pregnancy. I love this pill, I've been on it for a year. It does so much good for me."

For Birth Control "I was switched from Junel FE to Blisovi FE due to a change in my prescription drug coverage. (Both are generic drugs for Loestrin.) I've been taking Blisovi for three months and have not experienced any negative side effects. No breakthrough bleeding, headaches, acne, nausea, or weight changes. I'm not sure if this is because I switched from one generic equivalent to another, but my experience has been very positive. My periods seem to be even lighter than when I was on Junel and come like clockwork. I was nervous to try Blisovi after reading all of the negative reviews, but I feel people tend to share negative experiences more than the positive ones. This drug works and is affordable. Give it a try!"

For Birth Control "I took Blisovi for 1 week and stopped. This drug affected me very badly. Symptoms: 1. Pulse heard in ears 2. Swollen feet 3. Eyes developed a clear fluid blister over the pupil and I had a headache behind them. 4. Tongue mildly puffy and developed tooth grooves in the edges. 5. Felt like I was punched in the Adam's apple and my voice became hoarse. 6. I cried for absolutely no reason. 7. I wanted to dump my fiancé of 4 years because suddenly I thought he was useless. I also wanted to get rid of my friends... it changed my perception of people and increased anxiety and overthinking. 8. I also had weird interactive nightmares if I was even able to fall asleep. After stopping this, I went back to normal and life was good again. Thankfully, my friends and fiancé are still in my life, and I feel better."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever been on. I have been on many different brands and also other generics for Loestrin Fe, and I have never had side effects like this. I’ve been taking this for 4 months now because I was trying to give it a fair chance, but I have never had worse cramps in my life (which is saying a lot considering I have endometriosis), they even wake me up when I am sleeping. I bled like a normal period for half of my second and my whole third month, which resulted in my having a decidual cast that is rare and was extremely painful. (Google it.) Aside from that, I have had bad bloating, brain fog, and headaches. I never review things, but I felt it important to share my experience since I read these similar reviews and didn’t listen."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication after finding out that Gildess FE 1.5/30 had been recalled. I feel so much better on this pill compared to Gildess. I've been taking Blisovi for about 8 months and have periods that are light and last 2-4 days. Cramping is more mild compared to not being on birth control, while the bloating I have in my lower body before periods is comparable to not taking birth control. I experience slight breast tenderness toward the end of the pill pack and headaches for a couple of days when beginning a new pack. All the side effects I have had are mild and easier to deal with than not taking birth control, plus it prevents pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I love Blisovi Fe 1.5/30. I was taking it for over a year and never had a problem. Not only did it prevent pregnancy, my skin was great, had no mood swings, had no weight gain or any other negative side effects. I had a lapse in insurance and ended up getting my birth control from Planned Parenthood for about 4 months. They didn’t carry Blisovi, so I got the equivalent dosage of Chateal, and I was immediately in shambles, with bad mood swings, bad headaches, and bad skin. Although it did do its job of preventing pregnancy. I finally got back on insurance and got Blisovi again! I’ve only taken about half of my first pack on Blisovi, and it has already corrected my mood and cleared up my skin. It is crazy how sensitive our bodies are and how different we all are. Blisovi works for me, but there is no review you will read that will tell you one way or another how a pill will work for you. You just have to try to figure out what works for your body."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi for a year and a half. Within one year, I went from 128 to 140 pounds, despite eating a plant-based diet and exercising every day! For reference, I typically only gain 1-3 pounds a year at most! It has prevented pregnancy and helped my cramps, but after reading these experiences, I’m wondering if my acid reflux and anxiety have been worsened by Blisovi. I have recently been put on Nexium to control my acid reflux, and I’m only 23 years old! It has never been as bad as it has been this past year and a half. I have also had random bouts of depression, major anxiety, and began getting strong and painful headaches this year. The only reason I want to continue Blisovi is because it has cleared my acne up after struggling with acne since I was 13, and it has prevented pregnancy, but the extreme weight gain is really weighing down my confidence, especially because my everyday cardio doesn’t seem to lower my weight."

For Birth Control "I haven’t had many problems with Blisovi other than bad headaches and nausea when I take the pill wrong (miss a day or take it late). The Blisovi is great for me, it helped my periods regulate and not be so heavy. Also, it cleared my acne right up."

For Birth Control "Being on this pill has skyrocketed my depression and anxiety to the point where a lot of days are just unbearable. I didn’t have any issues with weight gain, but I did have horrible headaches and noticed a little unwanted body hair. I get pills work differently for everyone, but this one definitely didn’t work for me. So glad to be switching to a different pill."

For Birth Control "My doctor prescribed Blisovi due to the fibroids in my uterus. I used this medication for 2 months, and I got diagnosed with pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in my lungs. I got hospitalized for 2 days, and now I’m on blood thinner. My life is miserable, I have shortness of breath, pain, and severe headache."

For Birth Control "Like many others, I was given Blisovi by my local pharmacy to replace another brand. On Blisovi, I couldn't stay awake, had no sex drive, my boobs were constantly sore, and my head was always pounding. I also was starting to get acne on my face and painful boils in my panty-line area. I took my blood pressure at a drug store, and it was high. I purchased a BP monitor to keep track of my BP, and it averaged 150/82, which is pretty bad. I stopped taking the birth control, began feeling better, and all my bad symptoms were gone in a week, BP back to normal. I called my doctor, and he ordered me Microgestin at my pharmacy. Never again will I use Blisovi; it was the worst birth control I've ever taken."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I have ever taken due to everyone telling me how bad it is and all the false things they tell you! I had my fourth baby in January of '17, and I started taking Blisovi Fe 1.5/30. The first two months were bad because I had migraines in the middle of when my period was supposed to happen, and it did, it was normal, but I never had a headache like that since I was a child. I said to my husband I'm going to try next month and see what happens. He told me to get off of it because he could barely see me the way I was, but I got used to it. I feel just like I did before... I have a normal period, no headache, no weight gain... nothing!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for three months now, I've noticed the first day of my period I have annoying headaches all day. I'm very moody, everything angers me. I also noticed I have a lot of acne when I've never had a problem with acne before. My breasts are so super sensitive. As for the periods, they are light, but the cramps still hurt pretty bad, and it worsens at night when I'm trying to sleep. Probably going to switch to a new birth control."

For Birth Control "I was having bleeding and cramping issues while on a low-dose hormone pill. My doctor insisted it was because my hormones were not balanced, and she switched me to this full hormone pill. Not only did my symptoms not go away, but now I'm experiencing headaches, nausea, depression, suicidal ideations, GI problems, anxiety, constant bloating, rashes, weight gain, and massive mood swings. This is by far the worst birth control I've ever been on. I'm 36, and I've been through the patch, Paragard, Isobloom, Ortho Tricyclen Low, along with a number of generic versions. I do not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I am going on three months on this pill. I didn't take BC for 6 years, then got on this one. I have noticed bad headaches when I am supposed to be on my period week, as well as some weight gain. I am petite and have noticed my boobs go a whole cup size. I also haven't really had a period for two months-just spotting and very light for 2-3 days, not enough to even wear a tampon. I also have noticed bad acne breakouts, I might reconsider this pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on Blisovi for almost 2 months, and the side effects have been constant. The headaches, occasional dizziness, and not to mention the bloating every single day. It's gotten to the point where I don't recognize my own body. The first month, when I was supposed to menstruate, I spotted for 2 days, nothing more. The side effects outweighed the potential benefits for me. Every woman is different, so don't knock it until you try it."

For Birth Control "Don’t listen to the bad reviews! As someone else stated, people who have good experiences tend to not leave a review. I was terrified to take this Blisovi Fe 1.3/30 birth control because of all the bad reviews. I took the risk anyway, and I’ve had literally zero of the horrible symptoms others reported (apart from a mild headache the first couple of days). I have PCOS, I feel like the hirsutism (unwanted facial hair) has slowed, and I’m losing weight (although I am watching my food). Give it a shot!"
