For Birth Control "Absolutely horrible. I was on another combination pill for about 4 months before this birth control. I was already struggling with the side effects of my previous birth control, and Blisovi Fe made it 10x worse. Extreme anxiety, paranoia, weight gain, constant spotting off and on, painful sex (which I’ve never had before this birth control), I started really despising everyone around me, random pelvic pain, constant bowel movements, and many more. I haven’t even been on this birth control for a whole month. I genuinely thought I was going crazy and couldn’t figure out why I was having problems until I realized it all matched up to me using this birth control."

For Birth Control "I am 21 and around 110 lbs. My doctor prescribed this for me when I was 20 because I was getting married and also for my irregular periods, which are so bad usually I pass out/faint. I've been taking this for around a year. I have experienced extreme depression and suicidal thoughts. I have gained weight, and it has lowered my sex drive and made sex painful. My periods are still irregular."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi for a little under a year after my doctor told me this was her favorite pill to recommend. Little did I know after reading these reviews, I would realize all of my problems can be contributed to this pill. No, I haven’t gotten pregnant. But I have regular nausea, migraines at least once every two weeks, loss of sex drive, and little natural lubricant. I get regular acne on the lower half of my face, which I haven’t experienced in years, which started when I got on this. When I miss a pill, I stopped doubling up the next day because I get massively nauseous to the point where I can’t move. It regulated my periods great, but this past cycle I mysteriously bled for two weeks straight, and since yesterday I’ve had a headache and steady nausea and burning in my stomach. A little terrified because I don’t have any acid reflux whatsoever, and my diet is very steady. I have a couple of weeks until I get back on insurance, so I am definitely switching to something else."

For Birth Control "I was very hesitant to take Blisovi 1/20 in the beginning due to all these negative reviews. I was initially on Tri-Sprintec but decided to switch due to the awful side effects (weight gain, low sex drive, emotional instability). I am almost finished with my second pack. During the first month, I was VERY nauseated. I found that by taking this pill at night, it decreased the feeling of nausea. I initially started BC because of acne, so I was scared when I switched to Blisovi. The first month, I did break out more than usual, but during the second pack, my acne lessened and lessened (while maintaining a good acne routine). I still maintain somewhat of a sex drive (more than when I was on Sprintec). I also lost weight while being on this pill (around 10 pounds). My periods are now shorter, which is awesome (around 2-3 days). I no longer have mood swings (I was to the point of crying every day on Sprintec). Every BC works differently for everyone, so maintain positivity and talk to your doctor."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control the same week a friend of mine did, and we both instantly developed severe anxiety. I started having regular panic attacks again (something that hadn’t happened for 3 years) and couldn’t engage in normal activities. It was unbearable for both of us, so we both quit after an exhausting week. Couldn’t eat or sleep. Didn’t even have a sex drive anymore, so the point was defeated. If you have any history with depression or anxiety, I advise you not to try this birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for almost 6 months now and hate it! Absolutely lowered my sex drive, and sex was painful because of vaginal dryness. The first three months, I'd have CRAZY mood swings but leveled out, and my breast size definitely increased. It did help with cramps and period pain, but it had such an impact on my sex drive I cannot stand it. Switching soon!"

"I suffer from heavy bleeding that has required multiple iron infusions for anemia. My doctor suggested a birth control pill to help. I was prescribed LoLoestrin, which was good at first, I had clear skin and two-day periods. However, after a while, I started having breakthrough bleeding, felt angry, and had a heavy clot. I was switched to Blisovi Fe 1/20, which I found worse. From the first dose, I had a 12-day period. After two weeks my mood changed, I was crying all the time and had panic attacks and severe anxiety. It has left me feeling depressed and has affected my sex drive. I will be stopping this medication."

For Birth Control "One of the worst! My sex drive has been so low since taking these pills. On top of feeling depressed and massive anxiety. Worst side effects ever! And I’ve been on 10 different kinds to stop my mid-cycle periods... this one topped it!"

For Birth Control "Awful. Gained 7 pounds in 6 weeks, and I’m not a person who gains a ton of weight real easy. I have had the worst acne I have ever had, very swollen all over my body. Night sweats, weird dreams, bloating, low libido. Horrible, horrible, horrible."

"I took Blisovi Fe 1/20 for 3 months, and I recently decided to stop taking it. Within a month and a half after starting it, I ended up with a UTI (which I've never had before in my life). Then, 2 yeast infections, vaginal irritation that never seems to go away, plus sore breasts that burned in the nipples too, depression and mood swings (I'd be angry, then cry for no reason), plus decreased sex drive, weight gain, headaches, spotting between menstrual cycles, and heavy bleeding during it. I just can't take this pill anymore. I'd rather have ovarian cysts (which is what it was prescribed to help me with)."

For Birth Control "Worked in that I didn’t get pregnant. But came with weight gain, headaches, loss of sex drive, and moodiness/depression. These came as a gradual onset, so it took me a while to figure out the cause. But I just stopped taking it a few days ago and already noticed I feel better."

For Birth Control "I had a horrible time on this pill. I switched from Lo Loestrin to Blisovi because although I had almost no side effects otherwise on the Lo Loestrin, I kept spotting. I was only on Blisovi for 2 and a half months before I stopped because I think I had just about every side effect. I immediately got a yeast infection upon starting it (maybe coincidental), however, I'm not prone to yeast infections. My emotional state was a mess, I would cry every day and for the stupidest reasons, but I couldn't control it. I was just overwhelmingly sad and extremely tired all of the time. I wanted to try and wait it out for 3 months, but my libido and lubrication were non-existent to the point where sex started to hurt, so that was my stopping point."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this birth control. I was previously on Microgestin for years with no issues. Since switching to Blisovi due to a change of insurance, I have experienced irregular periods, constant spotting, cramping, bloating, and increased anxiety. I currently have no sex drive with this constant spotting and cramping. I no longer have insurance, otherwise, I would have immediately requested to be changed to another birth control. I have taken this BC regularly for two months, hoping this was just an adjustment, but I can no longer deal with these symptoms."

For Birth Control "Let me start off saying that this birth control is the worst. I have been taking it for a year now, and I have never felt worse. The first four months were okay, I didn't notice any bad side effects except for minor cramps every day. After about five months, it started to get worse. I have gained 15 pounds, and it's extremely noticeable. All I crave is junk food. I'm way more irritable, and all the time. The week before my period is horrible. I often get bad PMS before my period, but the pill amplified it. It's even affected my sex drive, which is now non-existent. The pill works for pregnancy prevention, but I would not recommend taking it."

For Birth Control "I got switched onto this medication after taking Depo for 3 years. I have been on it for 5 months, and during the time on this medication, I have got HORRIBLE cystic acne all over my cheek, neck, and chest area. This medication also lowered my sex drive, making me not able to orgasm or even want to have sex with my boyfriend. I also have experienced bad migraines while taking this birth control. I am going to the dermatologist tomorrow and asking them about Tri-Sprintec."

For Birth Control "Have been on Blisovi Fe 1/20 pill for 2-3 years. I had ups and downs on it, but mostly downs. Had very bad anxiety, mood swings, and low sex drive/libido. Now, most recently, I have been experiencing bad dryness, making sex more unpleasurable. It worked at preventing pregnancy, though."

For Birth Control "This birth control has been very good to me. I was on Sprintec for a long time since I was 15 years old, and now I’m 25 and just switched. Sprintec made me feel sick day and night. But with Blisovi Fe, I feel normal. I have had loss of appetite, not because of nausea, I just don’t feel hungry, so I eat less portions. No mood swings, no acne, no bloating, period is regulated. There was a sex drive loss. I was at a 10, now I’d say I’m at a 6, but have not tried its main purpose out yet about baby making."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this for about a year and a half now. I was diagnosed with PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), which is basically where you have super PMS when you already have anxiety and/or depression. It was BAD, especially through the pandemic. My doctor prescribed continuous birth control to completely eliminate PMS and periods, and I’ve never felt better! My mood is definitely more stable, and I haven’t experienced any more extreme lows like I used to get. As far as side effects go, my breasts did get bigger at first, but the swelling went down after a couple of months, and my sex drive has gone down quite a bit. Considering all of the other possible side effects I could have had, I’m totally okay with just that one. Plus, it has done its job well with preventing pregnancy when I am intimate. As a lot of others have said, everyone’s bodies are different and won’t react the same, but that’s just my positive experience on this medication. :)"

For Birth Control "I have noticed that my periods have become basically nonexistent, which made me worry I was pregnant. After looking at everyone’s experiences, it has made me realize I also have weight gain (10 lb), major mood swings, low libido, and emotional spells for no reason. I have been on this brand of BC for about 4-5 months now, and the only good thing is the light periods and no pregnancy. I am asking my doctor to change brands if possible."

For Birth Control "The only side effect I really experienced on this was a lowered sex drive. When I first started taking it, I experienced mild mood swings, but I don't really anymore. It hasn't given me acne, didn't cause me to gain weight, or anything else negative like that. It's definitely stabilized my period, and has overall been effective. It's also cheap even if you don't have insurance. Definitely better than the three-month pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 10 months now. This helped a lot with my irregular periods. This was the only positive. I gained a lot of weight and bloated with this pill. My sex drive was nonexistent. I'm changing prescriptions."

For Birth Control "Had some nausea, mild anxiety, and breakthrough bleeding for the first 6 weeks, but now I’m doing well. No change to my libido, skin feels a bit clearer, no more bouts of nausea or anxiety. It takes a little while, but I’m fairly pleased with how things turned out. My previous experience with Daysee caused major lethargy, lack of libido, and breakouts, so this is much better!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi for a little over 2 years now, and in the beginning, it was great. I really didn’t have many side effects. I got on it for acne purposes, and it did a wonderful job clearing up my face within 3 months. However, the longer I’ve been taking it, the more I’ve been experiencing side effects. Some months around my period, I get very irritable or sad, and other months I’m perfectly fine. Some months I experience really bad cramps, not even just in my uterus, but up into my diaphragm and back. Just seems like every month it’s a new type of side effect. My sex drive was fine taking this until about recently, it’s decreased significantly. Overall, I’ve had more good experiences with this birth control than bad, but just make sure you are keeping track of side effects even once you have been taking it for a while!"
